Great spot! I highly recommend their shaken beef. I was taken aback by the menu! THEY ALSO HAVE OISHII SUSHI!! Not sure how but I always love Oishii Great spot, more causal. Will def be back!

09-17-25 -Egg Rolls $7- crispy on the outside slightly salty on the inside. The stuffing didn't taste fresh. -2 Pho Dac Biet $33- flavorful. However, beef slices were tick cut. My soup broth was not able to cook the pieces to my liking. As for the meatballs, I was expecting the whole balls but disappointed when my Pho bowl showed up with the sliced ones. I enjoyed the beef brisket though. -Beef Vermicelli $15.50- per my brother-in-law, aromatic beef. It must have been good, he emptied his bowl completely lol. -Pork Vermicelli $14.50- my sister didn't comment on her food. Note: We were a party of 5. 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. Service was average.

Cozy little place at the corner of Denton/Hudnall and Maple with great service, and food that is worth a try! On this visit I had the shrimp spring rolls (which are a must!) and their Pho Dac Viet: has meatballs, rare steak and brisket. Very generous with the meat portions. Definitely coming back to try other offerings in their menu. They offer not only vietnamese cuisine, but also sushi.

A little bit of a hidden gem/hole in the wall. I stopped by here on my way to the airport as it was on the way. I was craving something quick and tasty and a Bahn Mi fit that description. I was seated inside and saw that they had not just Vietnamese classics, but also Sushi (Can't decide? Get both!) The inside was a little bare, and not much insulation so it might get a little bit loud when its full but they also have two separate seating areas and space outside. I thought that it was charming in its own way, and knew they were going to be serious about their food. I ordered a chicken bahn mi, fully expecting it to be simple. When it came out I was blown away by how such a simple bahn mi could be so flavorful. The lemongrass chicken was so tender and had so much complexity going on that I was not expecting. it was my favorite part of the sandwich, not to fully outshine the pickled veggies and pate though. It was a complete sandwich. If Lavui is doing a chicken bahn mi like this I can't imagine how good their other menu items are!

Decided to dine in for lunch after having ordered to-go in the past. Sat outside because our group had a small dog, and it was a great experience! The staff provided a rotating heater since it was chilly outside, which was very nice. The chicken pho was great, with a very flavorful broth. However, I wish they had provided more veggies on the side. The roasted duck banh mi was an interesting taste. Definitely very filling, but not my favorite. The service was also great considering we were seated outside

Food was awesome. Never had Thai food before and now I am hooked. It was so flavorful without being too spicy. The shaken beef I don't even know how to describe how delicious it was. I did get a chance to taste the flat noodles with beef that was good too, but the item that stole the show for me were the dumplings five out of five.

I have dined in and ordered take out at this restaurant, and I'm never disappointed! The service is always fantastic and fast. When I dined it, our server made sure to stop by often to make sure we were doing okay and our waters were refilled. The inside of the restaurant is casual and simple, and there's an outdoor covered patio too. Bathroom is also very clean. It's the perfect placed to have a big group of people, or also a casual date. Parking is easy in the front, and there's some spots towards the side and back of the building too. When I ordered to-go, the food did not take long at all. I got the combo vermicelli bowl to-go, and it was hot and fresh when I opened the container. The box was packed to the brim, and I liked how they put the sauce in a small container so I could drizzle it on myself. The egg roll was crispy and delicious. The veggies were fresh. The meat was juicy, tender, and had lots of flavor. The shrimp was also good. I did transfer all of it to a bigger bowl so I could mix it together more easily. The egg on top brought the whole dish together. Really enjoyed it, and it was super filling. Didn't even eat it all and had some leftovers for the next day.

I live in the area and was hoping to find a good Vietnamese place. I ordered for pick up. Everything felt soggy and sloppy unfortunately. I only live about 5 minutes out. The vermicelli place had way too many onions and not enough salad! ),: it also lacked flavor, it needed more pickled carrots, cucumber, peanuts, etc. The dumplings were ok, the sauce didn't have flavor. The pork inside the dumplings had an off flavor. The service was great, the women were very nice. Interior is cute and quaint.

Nice spot for some Vietnamese favorites. It's a small location with a recently expanded sit-down dining option. Not too loud, allowing for conversation. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is great! They only have a few common pho options but they do them well. The combination pho is a go to when I'm looking for a nice warm broth. Their Vietnamese egg rolls are flavorful and super crispy. During my latest visit I tried the Chicken Curry Noodle and was pleasantly surprised. Adequately spiced with a lot of chicken and veggies mixed in. As with most places in the area, the prices are a little higher than you'd find elsewhere in Dallas. The portion sizes and quality of food justify it. Give them a try!

Wanted to pick up a quick lunch and found this small eatery. Walking in, you see a lot of nearby hospital workers grabbing a lunch with coworkers. You enter and order/pay at the front and then can sit wherever inside or the covered front area. I ordered the tofu vermicelli bowl and it came out fast and was amazing. I would come here again for that.

Probably second best pho spot in Dallas city area after Vietnam Restaurant (closed on Sun). Overall solid quality but also slightly more expensive. We got the rare beef pho ($14.50) and the bun bowl sub with shrimp ($13), and a order of spring rolls ($6). All portions were generous and our waiter was so attentive. All the items were flavorful and not too greasy or salty. The seating is a little snug and slightly loud inside fyi- but great clean place for pho on Sundays.

The food was great!!!! Great presentation along with the flavor. The pork was super flavorful and the steak was fresh and cooked medium. They did automatically include the 10% tip and you can add more if you want to. You can hear the chefs cooking in the woks.

We then got the miso cod on the waiter's recommendation and it blew me away. So tender, moist, and it pairs very well with the puree and miso. We got the chile oil on the side since we can't handle spice well but I can see it also pairing very well with the dish. The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

On to the ramen -- if you want to know if you're getting a quality bowl, look no further than the preparation of the egg. No respectable ramen shop would serve you well done boiled eggs which was the case here. The tonkatsu had heavy garlic flavor which is good but was unfortunately overshadowed by the abundance of burnt garlic bits. Not much to say about the Dan Dan. Bathroom clean but had a strong smelled. Would not go out of my way nor return with the amount of noodle options in dfw.

Shout out to Ace for his excellent service and all the other staff as always :)

The quality of the meat really stands out, especially the wagyu and specialty cuts. Everything is fresh, well-marinated, and grills beautifully at the table. You cook your own food yakiniku-style, which makes the meal fun and interactive without feeling overwhelming. Service was excellent -- attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to explain the menu or help with the grill. The staff checked in at just the right moments and made the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. The sides and appetizers were solid (garlic noodles are a must), and the drink options pair nicely with the meal. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality, atmosphere, and experience make it worth it. If you're looking for authentic Japanese BBQ with great vibes and premium ingredients, Manpuku is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back.

Overall, Manpuku was... fine. Not bad, but not particularly memorable, and definitely not compelling enough at this price point to justify a return. From a food standpoint, the proteins and sauces were the strongest part of the meal. The cuts themselves were flavorful, and some of the marinades/sauces brought the kind of richness and salt balance you'd hope for at a Japanese BBQ spot. That said, the supporting cast (especially the vegetables) felt like an afterthought. For a place charging at this level, I was expecting more intention and better overall balance across the table. Drinks were serviceable but uninspired. I kept it simple with sake and Japanese beer, while others in the group ordered martinis that were perfectly drinkable, if not especially polished or memorable. Where the experience really started to fall apart was service and overall floor management. With the restaurant being so lightly occupied, there really wasn't much excuse for how inattentive things felt throughout the night. The pacing and presence just weren't there. What ultimately took the experience from "underwhelming" to actively off-putting, though, was the fact that multiple street vendors were allowed to come into the restaurant and approach tables selling flowers and candy. It happened enough to become a real distraction, and it was especially jarring to watch staff and management seemingly do nothing while guests were being interrupted mid-meal. One table eventually had to tell them directly to stop bothering them, which should never be the diners' responsibility to handle. There are too many places in Dallas competing in this price tier to overlook that kind of lapse in hospitality. Manpuku wasn't a disaster, but it also didn't deliver on the level of polish, attention, or overall dining experience its pricing suggests. Wouldn't say I regret trying it BUT I also wouldn't be in any rush to come back.
