The elderly man is always so nice and friendly and makes customers a welcoming. The young one at the cash register always looks angry or annoyed. It's make customers feel unwelcome. Young people need to learn about customer service. If you're not happy with your work, don't work, quit. Don't bring your problems to work. Their fish and shrimps are very good. Fried perfectly and not greasy. I love their Perch and Catfish. I wish they would add flounder to the menu as well. Prices are reasonable and heir sauces are very tasty. I like that they put sliced bread under the fried food to soak up the excess oil. Their Cole slaw is really good and the hush puppies are very flavorful. Their chicken could use some more flavor. I always come here to get some food and the food is always good. However, my complaint is not about the food. It's about the employees. On 6/12/2024 around 9ish pm to this location on liberty road, I went in and order some food. As I was waiting for my food, I had to use the restroom. I locked the door like any other human being would. The next thing I knew the door was being tugged opened and managed to get opened as I'm yelling "someone in here". He continued to open the door until he saw me and closed the door back up. When I left the restroom, he did apologize but, I don't understand why he pulled the door open like that if he knew it was locked. I went to tell another employee that worked there, and he was talking to the other guys, and they started laughing. I saw another gentleman and asked if he was a manager. He said yes and I told him everything including about the other guys laughing. All he said was "I'm sorry I will talk to them". He just took more orders from people behind me. I honestly don't feel like anything would be done. I felt violated and it's never a good feeling. Convent location while traveling Liberty Road. Once you finish eating there is a Rita's Italian Ice attached. The menu is very extensive. Chicken, many varieties of fish, side dishes( I really recommend collard greens!) They has fried mac & cheese, fried green beans and many more vegetables to choose. The portions are big. You definitely get a decent amount of food and your money worth, but most of their stuff are too salty. Especially the fried items. The white seasoning they put really make their food taste better but the last time, I got the fried chicken it didn't have any or it was so little it wasn't noticeable. For some reason my review would not go through on my mobile app yesterday. Anyway I stopped in yesterday to grab lunch with my dad. He chose to stop there because he loves the fried mushrooms. There wasn't much of a crowd around lunch time, since its a carry out it not too surprising. We placed a order for some for a 5 wing and 5 Thigh chicken meal. It came with fries, don't know how that makes it a meal. We also ordered a half n half and banana pudding. The order was completed in about 15 min to 20 min. It was good that they actually made the order fresh. I went to get the food and my dad went over to another counter where our drink was waiting. The guy started yelling ad my father that this wasn't his order and asking what did he order. From the moment we went in there was no one else in there and we placed the order together. This is the only reason it dropped down to 2 stars. The food was average. The chicken was deep fried but not too greasy, the fries were very greasy, and the mushrooms were not greasy. I have been to this place many times. I dont eat much fried foods, but the catfish is always light, flakey and crisp. I went out on a limp once and ordered the lamb and rice meal. Uh, it was great ! I suggest the lamb and chicken mix if you must have chicken. It is what it is, a fast food place that sells fried foods. The Chicken wings are addictive. Very good, very hard, and cook fresh. They always encourage people to call in the order in advance, if it's a large order. However, please BEWARE, when you get there, your order will NOT be ready and waiting for you. I repeat it will NOT be ready. I have called in my last 6+ orders. When I arrive, the person at the register always claims to have no idea what I am talking about. I even give them the number that I was provided when I placed my order. That never helps. The only thing they ever say, is "What did you order? Oh, okay, no problem. It coming it up." They really get over on the prices. Was supposed to charge me 1.99 to substitute the fries when I asked for dinner with greens and potato salad. Instead charged $4.99 for each side, an additional $10.00 on two separate orders. Then, the Buffalo wings were huge, GMO-type and had no sauce on it. I visited this establishment once and found the food mediocre at best. However, the underwhelming food is not why I choose never to visit this establishment again. My cousin visited recently and was told directly by the "gentlemen" behind the counter that he did not like serving Black people and that he preferred customers who were white or mixed. He was clearly under the impression that my cousin was mixed. When a Black gentleman entered the store, he then indicated that he was going to provide this patron with "old" food and encouraged my cousin to wait while he prepared her food fresh. This is not bad when your in a hurry. Since I try to watch my sugar and carbs I just ordered fried jumbo shrimp and a small salad. My only advise is make sure you watch them fry you fish if you're ordering that because one time I came outta here with fish that had tasted like it been cooked over several times :( read more

Maybe if he took the ear piece off it might help. There is also no reason to call your order in because they wont start to cook it untill you get there. If you want greasy fried food and a good portion of it for a low price this is the place to go. Last time I went here I ordered the catfish nugget meal with fries. It was so much couldn't eat it all to myself. I split it with my family. I don't normally eat fried food so this definitely made me feel like I drank a gallon of oil by the time I was done, but it was good going down. Chickens wings are good also the fries. The season they put on is what the locals call "crack" it's sweet and tasty, I usually get the coked out wings. 20 for 15.99. At this location they can get a little snippy but all you have to do is buck right back and it's fixed, not sure why but it might be a cultural thing, I don't know. I will no longer patronize this establishment. For one, I ordered 75 wings and they got slick and gave me half wings and half legs and charged me for wings. I didn't notice until I got home and opened the package. I called and told them what I had and they told me to bring the order back but I had people waiting to eat and I would've had to drive 15 minutes and wait for wings to cook again.
