Whereas I don't quite remember what that was, I welcome this new tiny place to the very shopping center that is familiar to me. I was a bit skeptical at first. I browsed the menu online to see how much the foods were and they were quite cheap especially the sushi/nigiri pieces. Whereas I understand the fact that "expensive" doesn't always guarantee the "quality", cheap might be an indication of "not so great" or even "low" quality. In this tough economy, keeping things affordable/reasonable is not easy. I am not a restaurant owner and I have never been in the past but I can only imagine how hard it is to run one in the very centralized location in the city. Well, despite my slight doubts, I went ahead and gave this new restaurant a shot right after my workout. The lady upfront - was warm and welcoming. I could even sense her genuine intentions to make me feel welcomed. She immediately asked me if my visit was for an eat in or to go to which I said to go. She first struggled to identify what I ordered on the menu. She even asked me which one on the menu. It's okay. It's a new restaurant or she herself might be new to it. The red snapper nigiri sushi was one of the ones she needed help with so I pointed it out to her. Placing an order thus took a bit longer (where another customer came in but she left due to the wait. Btw, there was one table that was occupied by two people at the time.) Well, her kind and considerate demeanor didn't change for the rest of the visit. As a matter of fact, she became quite personable towards me. She not only offered me a glass of water while I was waiting she also asked me what kind of Asian I was. Her warm smile never ceased to exist on her face. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all, my order took for a bit. This didn't bother me. I wasn't in a hurry. Not only that, it might be a good indication that they are meticulous about preparing foods/meals. The kind lady came back and thanked me for my patience. She then refilled my water glass. Once my food was ready she handed it to me with her warm "Thank you; have a nice day!" Service (hence) is quite top notch here. As soon as I had the chance, I started digging into everything I got. Here is what I thought of all the food I got: Sushi/nigiri pieces: weren't the best quality ones I have had in any way. The fish pieces however were cut thickly which impressed me to some degree. So so or okay-ish is what I can best describe the albacore tuna/yellowtail/red snapper nigiris. Avocado & Mango Salad: was quite peculiar indeed. In the generous size container I saw what appeared to be deep-fried panko that covered the entire salad. To know and see what was beneath it I had to dig into it. The salad is/was consisted of chopped lettuce, sliced cucumbers, avocado and mango that is/was marinated in fish sauce. They simply used way too much fish sauce which somewhat ruined the whole salad. Pan-fried vegetables gyoza: Another okay-ish dish that wasn't impressive. Whereas I can always say "not bad" where I find it "decently edible", I've had better vegetable gyoza in a bag sold frozen at a supermarket. This review is getting a bit too long so I want to conclude it with some positive notes: -The menu is quite extensive with wide selection. I want to believe that there must be dishes that are impressive. -This is one of the new businesses that opened in the last several months. They are trying to grow where they may still be "experimenting" their menu items with different ingredients/flavors/ideas. -Affordable prices especially for the sushi/nigiri. Like I said, the quality may not be their best strength; they are not horrible either. -Clean/nice interior as it's a new restaurant. Good layout; ambience checked.

My friend had sesame chicken and I had royal chicken (cashew chicken). Both were delicious. The chicken was tender and there were lots of vegetables. The different sauces were flavorful. The ladies were very attentive and brought water refills often. Their water pitcher had sliced lemons in it so it gave the water a nice flavor.
