Love this brewery. Unique beers (cool cab designs too!), convenient parking lot, nice patio and good food selections. Service was fine. No issues, didn't try the food though - only drinks after dinner across the street.

I will start by saying that they make more styles that I don't like than I do like. I used to really like a lot of their sours, but I can't drink them anymore because I'm old and now get heartburn. They continue to make some good sours in the city. Their IPA's are hit or miss. I am a big fan of the DDH Double Bane of Existence and the Triple Bane. I've been here a bunch of times but never reviewed them. My son who is in 20's loves a lot of their sour beers and their IPA's. Today I'm drinking a Triple Bane while he has a flight of a peanut butter and jelly sour, a creamsicle sour and the Triple Bane. We both also like the Mimosa sour they make, Bottle Service. The venue is big and industrial, located in the brewery building of the old Fort Pitt Brewing of years gone by in Pittsburgh. Parking is all street parking, huge lot beside the building but someone else owns the lots and will tow you. Thankfully street parking isn't hard here: no food service but always a food truck.

Tiny little brewery, this is much smaller than their other location, but still a great spot! We came for trivia night last night (Every Wednesday at 7pm is Trivia) with Buzzworthy Pub Trivia Luckily, we were able to get a seat but I did see people walk in, look around for a spot, and then leave. So seating is limited. Great beers though, they do have bar snacks, and sell merch such as koozies. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable about beer

Had the "You'll shoot your eye out" was the first beer I had, it was great. Second one was the blonde ale Conversion, yummy too. The beers are heavy on the stomach. The only thing I would knock a star off for is, having only 1 bathroom does not help with a brewery/bar full of people who have been drinking.

Highly recommend! I am not drinking right now so I may not be the best person to review the bar; however, this place has a cozy vibe, yummy appetizers, and a tasty cream soda. I believe the hard cider was well enjoyed by many in my party. Give it a try ;)

We find ourselves at Hitchhiker pretty frequently. I love that they change the beer menu up, so there's usually something new and different to try. I'm a big fan of sour beers and my fiancé loves IPAs, and we each can always find something we like. During happy hour, draft beers are $1 off, and it's usually not very busy a.k.a. you'll have no problem getting a seat. However, on weekends, the place is usually pretty crowded, so many times you have to stand. Not a huge deal but wouldn't definitely love if they had a larger place with more seating. In addition to the small interior, there are also picnic tables outside that are dog friendly and more tables on the back deck, so plenty of seating options when it's nice out and not so many once it gets cold again. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy working there. My favorite part of Hitchhiker (other than the delicious beer, of course) is their board games and card games! They have plenty to choose from, and it gives you something fun to do when drinking beers with your friends.

We've been to this location several times. We love Hitch Hiker Brewing. They always have great options. This place was amazing. The small quaint little building made the experience really good. The beers that we tried were very good. This is a small brewery but unique is what makes it great. Recommend going here.

First time in and we really enjoyed the beer! The inside is a smaller room with a big bar. It's cozy with good character. Flights are 3 8oz pours. To start I got a red IPA, fruited sour, and milkshake IPA. All 3 were great. Really nice fruit flavors in the fruited sour and milkshake IPA. After that I ordered a pour of another fruited sour, Cran-Bottle Service, which was excellent. Very tasty. Food-wise there are a few snack options available. We'll be back!

My girl friends and I came after four years of me wanting to come here. I love Gravel Grinder and live close to an OTB so heard of Dancing Gnome from that. Finally made our way there and well, make sure you do not bring young kids. My friend had an 18 month old with us and as she was BUYING a beer from them, the guy who worked there asked if she "could keep the screaming to a minimum." An eighteen month old!!! And Mother's Day is tomorrow, nice. He said that they had to draw a line somewhere and he wasn't kidding. The 18 month old was not running around screaming crying all day. We were outside having the kids play and when my friend was buying a beer he got a bit fussy and was told to keep it to a minimum. Needless to say, we will NOT be coming back. If you have small children, I would not suggest this place. Super disappointing. I've always hyped their beer and place up and now I can't support it. We ended up going to Grist House and it was a WAY better vibe and WAY busier...I wonder why. I should have known when their sign said no dogs allowed.

I loveeeee coming to Cinderlands! Not pictured but you NEED to get a Cindy's Tea when you come here. They sell these in cans as well I always try and grab a pack if we don't bike here! Their crunch wrap is my favorite thing on their menu. If I'm not getting it as my meal I'm forcing it as a table shareable it is that good. Usually I just get their fries with it which is always yummy but this time I tried their mac and it was so delicious! The Chicken Caesar wrap was so good normally I think places never put enough dressing in them but this was perfectly dressed! We tried their Heirloom Tomato & Watermelon Salad and added chicken to it. Idk where I've been but watermelon on a salad?! AMAZING!!! I wouldn't take off or add anything else to this(except chicken clearly lol) it was so refreshing and light and perfect!

This is a little different as they are set up with toast where you scan the QR menu and place your order and then they bring the food or drink to your table. You don't really have a server per se. We came in on a Friday afternoon around 4 o'clock and it was pretty quiet. We chose to sit upstairs and ordered the season of the month chicken wings. It was sour cream and cheddar dry rub. We did get them well done and I'm glad we did because it did make them crunchy here although they still weren't all that crunchy. The dry rub was actually really good, but it was a little bit like eating Cheetos as when you took your fingers away they were covered in orange powder. My husband tried their wheat ale - the easy golden. It was okay, but a little hop forward for him. They did have a arsenal cider on tap so I chose that for my beverage.

So have you seen that meme out on the InterT00bZ that's like "Hey let's go to that new beer place…read morethey have $27 warm hazy IPAs in the middle of a parking lot?" Yeah, that's the vibe I was getting at Velum. There was a lot to like and a lot to not like about this place, so I'll start with the bad and end on a positive note. First off, it's in an old brewery and it looks like a warehouse. I'm not sure if they still brew their own beers but it straight up looks like an old warehouse. I've seen abandoned warehouses that look less like a warehouse than Velum. Maybe some people like that vibe but I felt like the cops were going to bust in and shut the party down like a teen coming-of-age movie. The taproom is all the way in the back, and so are the bathrooms, so if you break the magic circle, prepare to get your steps in. There's no kitchen. They DO partner with a food truck but they're getting their own review. I paid $10 for an average cocktail and $8 for a 12 oz cider that frankly wasn't that great. Either better drinks or bigger drinks, please. And everything is community seating. I don't hate the idea but I didn't care for the vibe so when I found a smaller table my friend and I grabbed it and boarded it. With that being said, there was a lot to like too. First off, we were there for a pinball night, and they have a great selection of pinball tables there, both classic and modern. I really would have liked information on joining a pinball league, but that wasn't offered anywhere that I could find. Plus on that particular night it was $10 for all-you-can-play, so we definitely got our money's worth there. The staff that I did interact with were super nice. That goes a long way and saved this from being a worse review. And the place is dog friendly, which is always a huge plus for me. All in all, I had a decent night. But the question as always is if I'll go back. Unfortunately, probably not of my own accord. If there's another pinball event, I'll definitely go, but it's not going into my rotation of cool spots. Not every place is meant for me, and that's fine.

As a pickleball sports place, I'd give this place a 3. You are able to book indoor courts, but…read morethere is only 3 available-- 2 side by side and one perpendicular to it separated by a net. However, the floors are insanely slippery -- to the point that if you were playing quick plays or rapidly accelerating, I would be extremely cautious. Additionally, it's not clear when the floors transition from the smooth, slippery surface to a rough concrete where you could catch your feet. Between the 2 side by side courts, there's also a random pot hole/divot where you could easily roll your ankle. However, this brewery also offers exciting other experiences: arcade games including ping pong, pinball, etc., rock climbing upstairs, live sports TV, and obviously drinks as a bar. As a multi-faceted facility, there's a lot that you can do here. They also have a bunch of colorful murals, like the one of Mac Miller (rip) and of V for Velum. There's also free parking outside the facility and by the apartment complexes.
