Jersey Pizza in ATX ftfw! This is my go to for a pie when I want to reminisce about my days near the Shore with my younger cousins while we ran the Belmar boardwalk to grab that thin, not-too-beaten up, by-the-slice pizza with the money my grandmother gave us before hitting the waves again as kids. I can vouch that this is truly legit establishment. "Proud like a Pigeon" is a solid statement and in no way to be misconstrued for weakness. It is Jersey pizza incarnate. Just like in Jersey, your pie usually arrives with a story of its own and I've seen my fair share. This is not a bad thing. I rather enjoy it. Did yours battle with the rush delivery by sliding around a bit? Who cares, It goes down the gullet all the same. Did it not look like last times pie? Eh, stills tastes just fine. Get a sixer of the garlic knots. I typically go classic pie but on occasion those specialty pies like their Hoboken Supreme always hit the spot. Service is great here but just like back home a true Jersey spot does get the occasional "order already" attitude. Some may not take too well to this but be warned that is how it is back east. If there was one thing I'd love to see it is for this Pigeon to spread its wings a little more. Give me the true Jersey experience and add a few Subs on the menu. While we're talking crazy how about a morning breakfast run of Pork Roll, Egg, & Cheese Sandwiches on a Hard Roll? As for the pizza the crust was really good. Slightly charred and to me a solid piece in the pizza puzzle. The sauce was good but I think it could of used a bit of salt. The cheese was your usual shredded moz, and the toppings were good. Worth the price, However the location was super sketchy. Pretty much the norm around that area with the homeless running this town. Who says you can't feel right at home from NJ in Austin, TX? Located in the not-so-great end of Austin, if you're craving a slice of pie, it's here waiting for you. Slices are about double what you'd pay in Jersey but in the city of great tacos, switching gears unfortunately will cost you. The counter person is very friendly, and probably very stoned, but hey, it's Austin. The crust is quite good-thin and crunchy but the sauce is sadly somewhat lackluster. The place is open rather late catering to the late night 6th Street drinking and smoking crowd. So if you've got the 2am munchies, this is the place! We got a large pizza and a half and half pizza although busy night (4th of July) with one guy in the back working the employees were nice. It did take about 45 min. but given the holiday we accepted it. The pizza was delicious! The size is huge for the largest compared to other chain pizza places. My kiddos who typically eat 2-4 slices were full with 2 slices from here because they're huge. It is a thin crust which personally we prefer. We ordered at the window no place to sit and it is in a busy nightlife area. Overall would recommend. read more

I love this pizza. There's a lot of good pizza options in Austin but this is one of my favorites. I like the sauce a lot and it's affordable and delicious. The salads are big and fresh. There is not much of a dining room and sometimes the small seating room is closed anyway and you can only order from the window. Anyone in Texas knows it's hot out here so that can be a bit of a drag like the salad is room temperature for the most part by the time we get to our room. But we order to go and eat in the hotel and it's still super delicious. I recommend 100 %!!! We gobbled it down before I thought to take pics so sorry about that but try it! I'm a little surprised by the reviews here. I grew up in CT (not known for many things, but known for pizza) and went to college in NYC... so I'm a bit of a pizza snob. Hubby is from Chicago so also a pizza snob. Love at first slice. We Lived in LA for a bit but NEVER ate pizza as it was awful Hoboken is TOP KNOTCH. We've order twice, in the past 2 weeks since we discovered it as it's been so long since we've had great pizza. The crust is great (not too chewy like other places) and the sauce... oooh the sauce is on point. It's perfect don't ever change it. I know Pinthouse is big here but honestly the sauce is terrible... it's like they didn't know how to make sauce and threw in a bunch of dried oregano. Sorry Pintshouse your salads and beer great but no thanks on the pizza And for the New Yorkers out there, I was thrilled to see garlic knots. Living in Boston and LA no one knew what those were. We might need a frequent shopper card. We ordered takeout. Looked like it sat for a bit but no biggie, we always put in toaster oven on 450 for a 4-5minutes and you're set. Just moved here from North Carolina but my husband was born and raised near Hoboken New Jersey and we lived in Chicago for 14 years so we know pizza! Our kids live here and had us get Pizza from a few places and we weren't impressed, so we goggled best New York Pizza in Austin and Hoboken Pie was one of the choices. I can honestly say it is truly a dead ringer for the perfect slice. The sauce is amazing and the toppings are super fresh and delicious, but the crust really makes the whole experience. The Pizza's are huge so we always have leftovers. Service is friendly and professional. We eat Pizza every Friday night and so happy to have this place! read more

Decent Pizza at reasonable prices. I stopped by here on my way to the FOMO Factory exhibit next door for a quick bite. I ordered two slices of the pepperoni pizza, and honestly one slice would have sufficed because those slices were HUGE! The crust was very thin and crisp which I am a huge fan of. Taste wise, there was nothing special about the pizza - it simply got the job done. The shop itself is very modest and has limited seating (no restrooms). I'd imagine that this is probably a good place to do take-out, as the whole pizzas they make here come in large sizes. I'd probably come here again if I was nearby and needed to grab something quickly, but wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more
