Went to Roppolo's during happy hour and it was a great deal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty empty when I went, but the vibes were nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The happy hour special is $3.50 for any slice and $3 beers, which is kind of hard to beat. The pizza slices are massive and honestly pretty high quality. One slice was super filling and tasted really good. Nothing fancy, just solid pizza done right, especially considering the price.

We have been to this location and the one on 6th several times. I like this spot because the service is always super fast, friendly, accurate, and of course, yummy. They do slices and pies, and even though they get super busy, nothing is left by the wayside. The calzones are ridiculously large! My boyfriend and I ate it for 3 days. No joke.

This place is great for a quick bite. The pizza was good but not remarkable. The service was just ok and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the interior is a typical pizza shop with kiosk ordering capability.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend for those who want to pick up food on the go.

My fiancée and I stopped in here because it smelled amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, it's even better and it's a beautiful, cozy Sicilian vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were welcomed as soon as we came in, a feeling that carried through our whole time. Not only is the service amazing, but the prices are INCREDIBLE for such good food. The pizza is delicious and we will be coming back.

Picked up a couple slices on a Saturday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was pretty busy and noisy at midnight.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A good amount of tables inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pizza wasn't the greatest, sauce was too sweet, generic pepperoni, doughy sweet crust.

My friends really love this place, the slices are absolutely humongous to beware!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was really nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and I thought the workers were on top of it!!

After a few failed attempts at other pizza places we stumbled upon Roppolos and I'm glad we did. Hands down THE BEST pizza in Austin. Not only is the pizza delish, it's unbelievably affordable, the owners are so kind and inviting, and the food came out fast and the parking is FREE!!! We tried the buffalo chicken and godfather slice and got a 20inch to go. Perfectly foldable, they don't skimp on the flavor, 10/10 will be back the next time we are in Austin?

pizza fills the craving but definitely on the expensive side, $5 per slice. one slice definitely fills me up but $5 seems expensive for a slice of pizza. i tried their buffalo chicken pizza and it was good and filling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]convenient that it's near campus but can get dangerous at night due to suspicious guad activity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] service is friend and helps shoo away the homeless people.

I had never tried Roppolo's before so I was excited for the opportunity to taste these massive pies. I decided to get the slice of the day which had a lot of stuff. Mushrooms, cheese, spinach, tomatoes, etc. This large slice was a great portion. I'll definitely be back to try more! ‍

Great selection of pizzas (whole or slices) and other Italian specialties. Conveniently located on The Drag, with free parking. Opens at 11:00 am.

Fair priced combos. Good food. Good prices. Good service. Nice and cool temp inside with good music playin. It definitely hit the spot. I appreciate spots like this around campus. Student friendly atmosphere. Even had a decent cinnamon roll for a dessert option.

Roppolo's gets the reputation for being drunk food, but when you get it fresh from this location it really is the quintessential average pizza, and I mean that in the best possible way. If you sign up for their rewards program through the Fivestars app, you can occasionally earn free pizza!

UPDATED REVIEW: it seems that the fly problem has been taken care of. This time around I ordered the pizza made instead of the reheated slice and it tasted a lot better. The crust was fluffier and overall it was a satisfying meal.

The person greeting us, even shared some insights for some upcoming shows. They'd be having that seem great to attend. It's fun to have that sense of community being welcomed into the restaurant as soon as you get there! We split up, and I went to grab seats while the other member of my party stood in line. Seating wasn't difficult, and it was well ventilated, which was highly favorable and much appreciated in the heat with missing fans, running constantly, cute ambience, lighting with the small bulb lights, and even bug spray available they make sure that this dining experience was covered on all bases so that you would have a great one. The menus are easily accessible, with multiple copies, being passed down the line, and sitting in the stand as soon as you walk up. However, after hearing about the restaurant online, and taking some time to read the menu prior to arrival, I knew what was on my mind - carbonara. From arrival to ordering with maybe about a 30 to 40 minute wait however, it was worthwhile. The dishes are made to order, with fresh pasta being used, making it even better. We opted for two half orders to share, and that was definitely enough food because we ended up even taking leftovers. We also got an order of the garlic bread with tons of roasted garlic, parmesan, and green onions. While the carbonara was flavorful and what my mind was initially set on, the other pasta actually ended up stealing the show and was what we finished immediately the Leopold had a pesto base and a nice hint of spice even without the peppers (which were taken off in our order). Overall, the most difficult part of this meal was parking, and the fight was completely forgotten after my first taste. They have a small lot, however, if you circled the nearby neighborhood a couple times you're sure to find a place to put your car.

The East Austin location can get pretty busy, so it's best to arrive early if you want to avoid a long wait. The spacious patio is very dog-friendly, and there's an indoor bar right across from the food truck where you can grab a drink or a glass of wine while waiting. There's even a cute cat that roams around, which adds to the charm. The Carbonara Alexandra has always been my favorite. The addition of the runny egg yolk makes the sauce extra creamy and rich, and once you start eating it, it's genuinely hard to stop.

Thankfully, Red Ash was an experience! From being greeted by the hostess and accommodated by not going up the flight of stairs (bad knee), to the end with hot cream-filled doughnuts. We started with a great greeting by Jacob, our server, who was also the sommelier. So I took his recommendation for the EPC Brut Premier Cru, because I wanted bubbles and it was heavenly. My daughter's Shirley Temple was perfect with her favorite cherries! To start, we had the Hot and Crispy Country Italian Bread and the San Daniele Prosciutto and Burrata. I would be happy to eat this combination for the rest of my life! My daughter ordered the 1/2 portions of Capelletti "Bishop's Hats" and Handmade Potato Gnocchi "Gratinata" after conferring with Jacob due to her odd food allergy. The gnocchi were like eating clouds of sunshine. I had the 1/2 portion of Mezze Rigatoni Alla Campagnola, which was filled with incredible flavors with every bite. For dessert, we had the Hot Cream Filled Doughnuts even though we were full, but they were perfection with the Blackberry Marmalatta. The experience was complete and was sublime. We actually called over Peter, who was the General Manager, and complimented him on the food (homemade pasta!), staff (specifically the hostesses and Jacob), service (top-notch), and overall ambiance (industrial chic). I even said that they should have a Michelin star! We hope to be back in Austin to experience Red Ash again. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I heard many great things about the food so I was excited to try this place. What surprised me most was the service! Our server, Brandy was the best server I ever had. She was so kind and accommodating. I couldn't decide between 2 cocktails and I wanted something balanced and sweet. Brandy recommended the Rosa Maria. She assured me that if I didn't like it, that I could get a new drink. Unfortunately, I didn't love it - the aftertaste wasn't smooth but overall it was good. She quickly followed up with me and kept her word. I wanted the drink to be slightly sweeter and smooth and the staff remade it. This time, it was perfect! I appreciate that Brandy was so accommodating for our entire huge party. She constantly checked up on us to make sure we were having a great experience. We ordered a ton of dishes. A few stand outs were: - the squash blossoms - tagliatelle alla bolognese - bone marrow pasta; although this was very rich! I'm glad we shared this There was another pasta dish that was on their specials that was so amazing but I can't remember the name. Overall, everything was delicious. The service was even better!

The flavor was a three-way gradient: Strong lemon; to soft, heavy chicken, to a slow-building spiciness that faded quickly and painlessly. I was finished with the first piece, and about to move on to the second, but my father and sister suggested that I eat some of the spaghetti. The taste and texture can only be described as the feeling on a hike, when you come into a clearing with the sun gently filtering through the trees, and you know and enjoy that there is more to come. Very subtle and light. The pasta and chicken paired more perfectly than anything I have ever eaten before. After I finished, I got the stracciatelli cannoli, that is, the chocolate chip cannoli. The sandwiches came with Garlic Fries. The Fries were delicious but unfortunately mine were lukewarm. I certainly could have asked for a fresh portion, but was hungry enough not to bother. That's the reason my rating wasn't 5 Star. Because the restaurant was pretty empty on this Saturday afternoon, I feel the Chef shouldn't have sent out fries that weren't piping hot. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy, but everyone who came in was still able to get a table. It feels very authentic. You can either sit down first and take your time with the menu, or order in line before grabbing a table. Either way, they're very chill about it. Another cool thing: they're BYOB and will even cork it for you. Saw other guests bring their own glasses too, which was a nice touch. The pasta is clearly fresh. I'd recommend the macaroni with mushrooms and sausage. I got the tagliatelle with lemon shrimp cream sauce and loved it, though now I'm curious to try one of their non-cream-based sauces next time.
