(05/10) It was a requirement that my partner and I come back to Roppolo's one last time before graduating and leaving Austin, and that we did. We are so grateful and lucky to have spent the last 4 years being a UT Austin student and having such luxury of living so close to this amazing pizzeria. As more pizza places open up around West Campus area, Roppolo's genuinely remains the number one spot. Their pizzas are always made with the freshest dough and ingredients and even their honey is an authentic house made recipe made by the owner's mom... WHERE ELSE HAS THAT!!! But seriously, I've tried so many pizza places in Austin, and there is no hesitation when I say that Roppolo's has some of the best pizza I have ever had period. I'm so sad to leave Austin and leave for a city without a Roppolo's pizzeria, but I hope that anyone wanting to try and some damn good pizza in Austin immediately goes and visits this place. We have been to this location and the one on 6th several times. I like this spot because the service is always super fast, friendly, accurate, and of course, yummy. They do slices and pies, and even though they get super busy, nothing is left by the wayside. The calzones are ridiculously large! My boyfriend and I ate it for 3 days. No joke. read more

I usually love supporting local spots, but the whole pie we ordered Wednesday or maybe Thursday night was a massive disappointment. It was flat-out awfully made. The dough was completely doughy and undercooked in the center, yet somehow the crust was burnt to a crisp on the outside. To make matters worse, all the cheese and toppings slid right off into a greasy pool in the middle of the box the second we pulled out a slice. It was an absolute mess and practically inedible. ​That being said, I want to give credit where it's due. The young staff working the counter and phones were incredibly polite, helpful, and doing their absolute best. They have fantastic customer service skills. However, with the young cooks management seriously needs to step in and get the cooks some proper training. Front-of-house can only do so much heavy lifting when the kitchen is sending out food this poorly executed. I appreciate the hard work of the crew upfront, but I won't be ordering a whole pie here again until the kitchen gets its act together. read more

Visiting Austin and just looking for something simple and local while we took a look around campus. Parking is awful. They have a few spots behind the building, but their food truck or can made it difficult to get in with my pickup. Found a place on edge or campus and walked over. Family was stressed by then so we ordered by the slice out of the display. Staff was friendly, but it was loud and hard to hear them. They had a variety of options and we all found something to like. I wasn't planning on slices as they are made ahead and reheated, but that was our choice. The pizza was good and the slices were huge. One easily filled the adults in our group and teenagers ate a little more than half. Doubtful we are back in Austin anytime soon, but would try again and order whole pizzas. read more

Absolutely delicious and online ordering was simple! I was very adamant to ordering from my usual Pizza Hut but Roppolo's has knocked my socks off! This is right by the University, and it is very high trafficked with college students. It was a really cute hole in the wall pizza place. We ordered two pepperoni pizzas and they came out super quick. I was pleased with the cleanliness of this restaurant, and I really enjoyed how delicious the pizza was. My fiancé and I even order an additional two pizzas to go that were just cheese pizzas. My only suggestion would be that staff possibly be a more but it friendlier and a tentative at the front. I recently got to try them out at their West Campus location and gotj - The Godfather (28") : sausage, pepperoni, bacon, beef, and meatballs - Rosalie (28"): Italian olive oil, ricotta cheese, spinach, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms & garlic - Italian Rolls: Pepperoni, Jalapeño Bacon, and Apple Cinnamon - The Italian Garden Calzone: spinach, artichoke, garlic, roasted red & gold peppers, mushrooms & olive oil First, the pizza was great. The food is very filling for the price you pay. These came with garlic crust which I enjoyed too! The italian rolls? Those were my favorite thing to eat - particularly the jalapeño bacon ones. I could eat those all day! The apple cinnamon was delicious too - the apple was subtle. The calzones? HUGE and a fun way to eat pizza. Holistically, the portions are huge and the prices are affordable across the board. I suggest coming here for when you're craving something casual and comforting. The service was great and the environment is chill. They have outside dining too if you prefer that during the upcoming beautiful spring days. We ordered a calzone for here. No silverware, just packets of melted plastic silverware. Impossible to cut calzone. When we tore it open with the plastic knife, a pool of watery marinara spilled out and soaked the bottom of the box. (Calzones do not have sauce inside. Wtf is going on here) Cashier also wrote down our birthdates, addressed and license numbers. Said it was bc we used a credit card. Could not explain what would be done with that information or when it would be shredded. Ridiculous. read more

Tried this place randomly on Uber eats and was quite surprised and satisfied! The giant calzone is the real deal - it's enormous and worth every penny. Definitely enough food to split between two hungry people or three with an appetizer. The Italian roll was amazing, too. I got the ham and jalapeño. Late night pizza is perfect. The pizza is good but the location and scenery makes dining here worth it. They have at least four TV screens with games on and sometimes a live performance on the patio. It's family friendly. read more

By far, the best pizza I have ever had. Cooked perfect, delivered warm, just amazing! Don't just take my word for! Come in and try it. I promise you won't be disappointed! My only complaint... they don't deliver to Scottsdale Arizona where I live. One more thing... don't park in the 7-11 parking lot. They boot you in less than 3 minutes. Park behind the store like I did. It will cost you at least $100 for the jerks at the 7-11 to undo the boot. read more

How bad can pizza be? Worse than you'd think. The pizza was super heavy with an overly think layer of greasy (and salty) cheese, cheap tasting mass food distributor sauce, and pre ordered crust. The pizza weighed about 5 pounds so I guess it's a good calorie/dollar ratio. read more

I have never devoured a better-tasting pizza--with the freshest vegetables, expertly blended sauces, and flavorful crusts. I had half of the Rosalie with Roma tomatoes, mushrooms and no red sauce. Other half Italian vegetable with artichoke, spinach, onion, and red sauce. Both were divine so I can't pick a favorite. These pizzas are loaded compared to the chain store pizzas. The 28-inch pizzas have eye-popping HUGE slices at great value. Gabriel gave superb service. I especially appreciated the large lemon slices for my brewed ice tea. Beer selection was varied and kept ice cold. Apple cinnamon roll was delicious dessert. Large tree out front keeps the deck shaded and great for people-watching on the Drag. The sign outside says they are celebrating 30 years and I understand why--it's simply the best pizza in Austin--or anywhere. read more
