We have been to this location and the one on 6th several times. I like this spot because the service is always super fast, friendly, accurate, and of course, yummy. They do slices and pies, and even though they get super busy, nothing is left by the wayside. The calzones are ridiculously large! My boyfriend and I ate it for 3 days. No joke.

My fiancée and I stopped in here because it smelled amazing. Inside, it's even better and it's a beautiful, cozy Sicilian vibe. We were welcomed as soon as we came in, a feeling that carried through our whole time. Not only is the service amazing, but the prices are INCREDIBLE for such good food. The pizza is delicious and we will be coming back.

This place is great for a quick bite. The pizza was good but not remarkable. The service was just ok and the interior is a typical pizza shop with kiosk ordering capability. I recommend for those who want to pick up food on the go.

Picked up a couple slices on a Saturday night. Place was pretty busy and noisy at midnight. A good amount of tables inside. Pizza wasn't the greatest, sauce was too sweet, generic pepperoni, doughy sweet crust.

My friends really love this place, the slices are absolutely humongous to beware!! The decor was really nice and I thought the workers were on top of it!!

After a few failed attempts at other pizza places we stumbled upon Roppolos and I'm glad we did. Hands down THE BEST pizza in Austin. Not only is the pizza delish, it's unbelievably affordable, the owners are so kind and inviting, and the food came out fast and the parking is FREE!!! We tried the buffalo chicken and godfather slice and got a 20inch to go. Perfectly foldable, they don't skimp on the flavor, 10/10 will be back the next time we are in Austin?

pizza fills the craving but definitely on the expensive side, $5 per slice. one slice definitely fills me up but $5 seems expensive for a slice of pizza. i tried their buffalo chicken pizza and it was good and filling. convenient that it's near campus but can get dangerous at night due to suspicious guad activity. service is friend and helps shoo away the homeless people.

I had never tried Roppolo's before so I was excited for the opportunity to taste these massive pies. I decided to get the slice of the day which had a lot of stuff. Mushrooms, cheese, spinach, tomatoes, etc. This large slice was a great portion. I'll definitely be back to try more! ‍

Great selection of pizzas (whole or slices) and other Italian specialties. Conveniently located on The Drag, with free parking. Opens at 11:00 am.

Fair priced combos. Good food. Good prices. Good service. Nice and cool temp inside with good music playin. It definitely hit the spot. I appreciate spots like this around campus. Student friendly atmosphere. Even had a decent cinnamon roll for a dessert option.

Roppolo's gets the reputation for being drunk food, but when you get it fresh from this location it really is the quintessential average pizza, and I mean that in the best possible way. If you sign up for their rewards program through the Fivestars app, you can occasionally earn free pizza!

Absolutely delicious and online ordering was simple! I was very adamant to ordering from my usual Pizza Hut but Roppolo's has knocked my socks off! I got the Margherita pizza with chicken added and it was so delicious! My partner got the supreme pizza and he said it was delicious! Definitely will be ordering again.

UPDATED REVIEW: it seems that the fly problem has been taken care of. This time around I ordered the pizza made instead of the reheated slice and it tasted a lot better. The crust was fluffier and overall it was a satisfying meal.

This restaurant was everything I could of asked for. Probably the best restaurant we tried in all of Austin. I'm from Los Angeles, and have been to many high end and hip restaurants, this was definitely up there with some of the best restaurants. Food: Crab tagliatelle is a must! This dish was delicious and everything you can ask for from a pasta. Gnocchi special with Peas and Asperagus is a must. This creamy and feather light dish was packed with so much flavour. Lobster scalloping was very good as well and so was the filet mignon. But best of all were the side of carrots, pear and endive salad and the Cho salad. My drink was the basil cocktail was was phenomenal. Everything was just so so very good. Our waitress Tiagna was an absolute delight in every way. Thank you so much!!!

I had a great view of everybody walking by the restaurant outside :) Our server was fantastic! He was super friendly and attentive. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and left a little after 10:00 p.m. The food was delicious. My man absolutely loved his seafood pasta dish! He doesn't even eat pasta but he scraped that plate dry. I highly recommend ordering family style for the table but make sure your whole party is on board with splitting the check evenly because the restaurant does not break up the check according to diners only split evenly, I believe up to four ways. Example: Our check was $822 (included gratuities) for seven people and we were only able to split evenly four ways. Roughly $118 each. It is what it is but I didn't even get a main course. Just a glass of wine, a half of a piece of bruschetta, some of the Caesar salad and a small portion of the gnocchi (all shared) I'm glad I got to experience Red Ash, but now that I've checked that off my list, I'm good.

After giving our keys away we walked into what is a beautiful outside area at Juliet's. It's a nice mix of feeling like you're in downtown Austin but also not. We went inside to request two seats outside and this is unfortunately where everything fell apart. After being seated all the way at the very corner of the restaurant near the entrance, we didn't receive water for 15 minutes. In fact, we had to ask for water, as well as silverware, from a person who was cleaning a table- not a waiter. We didn't order until about 30 minutes after being seated. We noticed that others around us who were dressed nicer for the occasion were receiving service but we were not (jeans and a nice top as opposed to a dressy outfit). This is less of an accusation and more of an observation. It took another waiter noticing that we had not been served to come over and take our order, and that was 5 minutes after we had to flag down a busser to ask for water. The flip side of that whole first part is that the food was pretty good. We got complimentary table bread (after we asked for it since it never came before our main meal) that was soft and went well with the olive oil it came with. For our entrees we got the shrimp scampi and chicken parm. The shrimp scampi was fantastic and light with creamy and bold flavors in-between. The chicken parm was maybe the largest chicken cutlet we've seen given out at a restaurant. Not only was the cutlet massive but it was delicious as well with a nice, light breading and cheese on top. The spaghetti alongside it was a nice touch but this was a true chicken parm entree as it should be. We were offered a complimentary dessert as an apology for the miscues before we ate but turned it down (still good of them to offer). Leaving was easy as the valet was very attentive and quick to get our car. We wish we could say our time at Juliet's was perfect because the setting and food are very nice and a fun change of pace from the surrounding blocks. However, it's difficult to overlook the mistakes made from the jump. We noticed that another table next to us was also experiencing bad service and looked unhappy enough to leave in the middle of their meal/ We're always open to having good food again so hopefully the next time we're here things are different. Just an unfortunate bittersweet taste to what otherwise would have been a fantastic meal.

Sammie's has been hyped up on social media for a long time and I gotta say it's still underrated! I will gladly have Sammie's take the Pepsi challenge against red sauce joints in NYC/NJ etc. In fact, I've told friends and family that I am going to take them to Sammie's when they visit from there. We just had such a fantastic experience - everything..the vibe..the red light fixtures and the color of the booths and the floor..the service - our server was great..loved their outfits..really had an old school little italy feel to it. The food was much better than I even anticipated - as a guy who grew up on NJ diner mozzarella sticks, I have a high bar for them and these were magnificent. And seriously...taking the "everything's bigger in Texas" slogan and applying them to mozzarella sticks?! top 10 achievements of the decade. The chicken parm was perfect - well seasoned, proper amount of crisp..the basil on top...the perfect browning of the cheese. Also the lasanga was excellent..and best part - the leftovers..took it home and the next two days put them in a small cast iron and re-heated them..and the magic was right there in my hill country kitchen! Lastly and certainly not least - the cannoli...just look at the photo below.. I'll say, yes, the place is pricey but you can really easily split these entrees and then it becomes cheaper than a jersey strip center Italian joint. The sandwiches came with Garlic Fries. The Fries were delicious but unfortunately mine were lukewarm. I certainly could have asked for a fresh portion, but was hungry enough not to bother. That's the reason my rating wasn't 5 Star. Because the restaurant was pretty empty on this Saturday afternoon, I feel the Chef shouldn't have sent out fries that weren't piping hot. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy, but everyone who came in was still able to get a table. It feels very authentic. No Italian-American staples like Alfredo, meatballs, or garlic bread, which was actually refreshing since I'm so used to that style. You can either sit down first and take your time with the menu, or order in line before grabbing a table. Either way, they're very chill about it. Another cool thing: they're BYOB and will even cork it for you. Saw other guests bring their own glasses too, which was a nice touch. The pasta is clearly fresh.
