Wow! What a great find. Tucked away in an older resort, this seafood restaurant is modern and vibrant with a new view of the outdoor pool and waterfall. We came on a Monday night. It wasn't too crowded, but as we sat there tables filled up. Server was nice and food was fairly quick. Hubs and i shared the hogfish sandwich (delicious) and the mahi mahi rendition of a rubin. We preferred the hogfish sandwich mainly because the bread got pretty soggy on the mahi. The coconut shrimp was incredible. The shrimp was huge!! The Brussel sprouts were just meh. First impression when you drive up "ummm...where am I?" You are literally parking at the side of the road or in the parking lot of a random apartment/hotel. Once you walk through the very misleading lobby...there is a pathway to the restaurant. At the end of the bridge you will find a very bustling, casual-like ambiance, fine dining experience. We were able to be seated immediately although the restaurant was very busy. There is indoor and outdoor seating options. Now when it comes to the food, Hogfish Harry's got the skills. Everything I ate was exceptional. Try the bbq shrimp app or the Gulf tripletail entree! You can't go wrong. I was impressed. Their kids meal was a good portion size (probably 2 servings). The food was great & it overlooks the resort pool. It's a little hard to find, Apple Maps takes you to the parking lot but you can't see it from where you are....turn left at the T of the parking lot & park right there & walk in, walk over a little wood bridge & you'll see it. Have bookmarked for a while. Looking at the rating it's kind of a no brainer to go. So tonight, we made reservations and upon arrival we were seated promptly. Just a mention this is not one of the easiest places to find. I would say the chances of someone stumbling in are zero. Once we found the place, we valet parked the car. Then asked where the restaurant was as it was not obvious. So, we crossed through a lobby went outside crossed over a footbridge and found Hogfish Harry's. I ordered their special which was lemon grouper. The fish was served blackened with of course a lemon sauce. Just an outstanding dish. Mrs. K. ordered a grouper sandwich, and it was huge. Also, excellent. Per the server the fish is locally sourced, so you are getting the freshest fish possible. In closing this has an old Florida vibe and very casual. read more

Tell the hostess not to force people to sit at the bar to eat when there are plenty of empty tables! Am I not good enough for a table? It's almost impossible unless you jamb your knees into the bar. Also, I watched said hostess and a friend/co-worker sit and eat right next to me. Super awkward! The food was decent though. read more

We stopped in on our way to the airport from Marco Island. So glad we found this hidden gem on Yelp! The entire experience was a solid 10/10! Will, our server was so friendly and gave us the best recommendations and made quite delicious Tequila Sunrises. We started with coconut shrimp and it was the best we had all weekend. EVERY dish I've had here has been amazing except one... Wings: Having lived in Upstate NY for 18 years, these are a definite go-to, although not Buffalo style. The pineapple sweet hot with scallions and blue cheese hits the spot 4 stars Calamari: Very tasty. But it's not my favorite. 3.5 stars PEI Mussels: Fantastic taste...FRESH, which is important to me. Chorizo, nice touch with added roasted garlic. Only wish the focaccia bread had been more crispy. 4.75 stars Fried Green Tomatoes: I do not like Fried green tomatoes but still tried them. I'm pleasantly surprised. 4 stars Crispy Fried Hogfish Sandwich: Very nice light batter. Mine came with two filets about 4-5 ounces each. I used one fit the sandwich and should have requested an additional sauce fit second filet. I decided not to add ate it on its own. Delicious! The remoulade is great with the mango they add. 5 stars Mahi Neuban: I read negative comments about this stating it was too soggy, so of course I'm currently eating it now. I mentioned to bartender Kristina, who offered to place sauce on side. Nice offer, but I wanted to see how it came out of the kitchen to give it a fair review. You get a CENTER CUT piece of Mahi with Swiss, slaw, and a thousand island between two grilled slices of marble rye and a side of fries. After about 20 minutes, it is still not soggy. PERSONAL preference would be to ask fit fish to be blackened. THAT would blown this sandwich out of the water, in my opinion. 4.75 stars Maine Lobster Roll: MY personal low point here. I tried it. However, after several bites, I actually sent it back. There were a few chunks of Lobster in it, but the rest was similar to Surimi I purchase at my store, so unfortunately, it ruined the whole sandwich. IMHO, it's not worth the $24 price tag. 3 stars Baby Back Ribs: Great fall off the bone tenderness. DO NOT ASK FOR SAUCE ON SIDE. Order it the way it comes, then request more sauce if you want it. I'm spoiled by a favorite rib place in town, thus the rating..... 4 stars Gulf Shrimp & Maine Lobster Mac & Cheese: This is served with Cavattapi pasta, which is pretty filling on its own. The bacon is a great addition, and the smoked gouda brings it almost over the top. I prefer all Lobster with no shrimp for a slightly increase in price to make this another blown or of the water dish. 4.75 stars Finally.... Towering Carrot Cake: Are you freaking serious?!?! I was solo and ignored the menu statement "Table Shareable" Only one phrase to describe... rich, luxurious, fat-filled, highly caloric and possibly downright dangerous dessert It took me three days at home to finish it, but Dear Lord, SO WORTH IT !!! The yelp reviews were on point! We had the mai tai and blue drinks - both were a hit! The hog fish was the star of the show - fried in a sandwich or grilled as the entree - both were outstanding. I can't get enough of this place! The vibe is upscale tiki-bar with a fun, quirky location around the pool of a condo building. There are lots of incredible cocktails (I had a mai tai that was outstanding) and interesting seafood-based dishes. I recommend the crab cakes. I've been here for Happy Hour at the bar, and the place is a zoo! Tons of people and great conversations, if you like that kind of thing. It can be tough getting a place to sit at the bar (unless you come really early), but it's fun to just stand among the crowd and enjoy the laid-back attitude. My kids had chicken nuggets and Mac & cheese. That was so good and that came out first so I knew this place was good. For appetizers we had mussels and Cesar salad. I never really enjoy red sauce with mussels but I loved this. I loved the thick cheese on my Cesar salad. Always a plus when you have a Cesar salad. I also had a crab cake with fries. I love fries and I just want to say these were so crunchy and good I was in love. My crab cake was meaty and filling. My husband and sister got the scallops over risotto and loved it. Hogfish Harry's is a hidden gem. I came here based on the positive Yelp reviews but when we pulled up we almost turned away as it's hidden behind what looks like a motel parking lot - I am glad we did not turn away! You walk over this cute red bridge and then you arrive at a little oasis with a waterfall and flowers and a pond with turtles swimming around. We sat outside which I would recommend although the inside is nice as well with a bar. The wait staff here was very friendly and efficient and the food and drinks are really terrific and reasonably priced as well. We enjoyed dinner here last night! The food was so fresh and flavorful. The best dinner we had here in Florida during our vacation. We ordered the kale salad with cabbage, pine nuts, beets and goat cheese. It was fabulous! We are foodies and we take dining out very seriously. Forgot to take pictures of our food, we inhaled our entrees immediately. Very very good, I got the Hogfish sandwich and my husband got the grouper sandwich. Came out piping hot, and so freah tasting! Lenny, the manager/owner was very personable and checked on us and made conversation. Starting with the positives, this was a random restaurant we found on Google and we had a great dinner. The food was all delicious and the drinks and dessert did not disappoint. It was my boyfriend and my first time trying Hogfish. Although I do not know if it would become a go to fish for me, my meal was delicious. I ordered the crispy fried Hogfish sandwich, with a brussel sprout substitution, and my boyfriend ordered the spiced hogfish. For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding cake. We got a beer and a cocktail. The service was great with the exception that our waiter did not know his liquors. I understand not being familiar with certain items, however I asked 3 times (once after the drink came out and I took a sip). It took me going to the bartender myself to get my drink corrected. It was delicious once it had rum and not vodka. Vodka makes me sick so I cannot drink it, otherwise it would not have been an issue. It is an interesting location if you have never been. Half of the outdoor seating abuts the resort pool to make for an interesting ambiance, so if you don't want to risk that I would suggest making a reservation inside. Today my wife and I took a short stroll over a bridge in the middle of an Old-Naples Resort to the front door of Hogfish Harry's a quaint poolside restaurant. As we walked up, we wondered what all the fuss was about. Our friends had raved about the food, but we thought we were just about to eat at a standard pool bar. Boy, were we wrong! Everything about HH was spectacular! From the moment we sat down, we were treated to wonderful service by our waiter, who pointed us to the best Fried Green Tomato appetizer we have had in FL. The Hogfish Sandwich was lightly fried and succulent, with the white fish still flaky and moist. The Lobster Roll was packed with Lobster. Our drinks, HH's takes on a French 75 and a Cosmo, were well-balanced and filled to the brim. There is no doubt we will be back! read more
