Minimalist bubble tea shop in Pasadena that is known for their hojicha and matcha based drinks. It has a pretty quiet and calm atmosphere, making it a cozy spot to hang out. My husband and I both really enjoyed the drinks. I would recommend the following: The Onyx Hojicha Milk Tea is a mix of Taiwan onyx black tea with hojicha charcoal roasted tea and house milk. It had a roasted, nutty, smoky, and creamy flavor profile. I am a big fan of how it tasted - more elevated than your typical milk tea. Brown sugar boba paired perfectly with this drink. The Oreo Uji Matcha is made with ceremonial-grade matcha imported from Japan, house milk, house cream, and crushed oreos. It tasted sweet, rich, and slightly earthy. The flavor of the oreo cookies balanced out the matcha in a good way. It was also delicious with brown sugar boba.
sadly I was pretty disappointed with my drink The staff is very friendly and recommended the blended matcha. I figured I go for it since I'm always looking for new places to get matcha. It looks like a great drink and has great color, and the first few sips I really liked the rich smoothie like texture. But as I kept drinking all the ice chunks came out and it turned into an melting icy drink. The matcha also had good flavor but it wasn't blended well, there was a ton of unmixed matcha powder throughout the drink so every sip was dried out with the matcha powder. Overall, it just wasn't a great drink or something I would come back for
Was in the area and decided to stop by for some drinks since I haven't been here in a couple years. They have really cool interior decor and seating is comfortable for casual chatting with friends. I ordered the Mango Cloud this time less sweet (7.42), and also the Matcha Blend. The price has went up a bit since the last time I was here but the cup is still the same size. The drinks took around 5 minutes or so to be ready. The mango cloud is as good as other reviews said. There is mango chunks in the drink and it is blended very well so it is a smoothie consistency. It also has some cream but I couldn't really taste it. I got less sweet so the sweetness level was perfect for me. I enjoyed the drink and my only complaint is the price but all drinks are around this price especially for fruit blended ones. I would recommend it if you're not looking for a matcha drink, but their matcha blend was also good as well with authentic matcha.
I was in the area so stopped by for a drink. There was no wait to order and staff was patient when my card was having issues during payment. There's no public restroom but there's some seating inside. I got the hoji matcha cloud ($7.45) at less sweet. The price has gone up since the last time I've been here, which is expected. I think it's still decent for the price at the cup size. The matcha is pretty strong but still has some sweetness.
This Japanese style tea house in Pasadena is pretty brilliant because it's adjacent to an ice cream corner shop and they share a parking lot, with outdoor patios. This is a very lovely indoor tea house, and it makes custom teas, milk teas and a variety of flavor and toppings, including boba, and my personal favorite, lychee, are available. The whole ambiance and decor are simple and clean. True Japanese feels. Also, the packaging of the teas is j'adorable! Check it out! I tried the refreshing grape juice with lychee drink. Fabulous!
Came by HOJI Tea Community while I was up around Pasadena and found a nice little shop. I really like the super minimalist and industrial look that they're going for inside! Street parking is a little limited, at least from where I chose to be, but it's not that much of a walk so I didn't mind it. I got an Oreo Uji Matcha and I found it to be pretty good. I didn't mind that it tasted pretty similar to other Oreo matcha drinks, and it was what I was going for. It kind of reminds me of the Oreo Brulee from Omomo, so if you like that drink, I think you'd also enjoy this one. Overall recommend!!
I've ended up at Hoji more times than I planned, mostly because every other boba shop is already closed. I appreciate the late hours, and the drinks are pretty good too. Nothing extraordinary and certainly on the pricey end ($7+ per drink), but I'm willing to pay the premium for the hour.
The interior of this tea shop was such a vibe, it was clean, nicely decorated and picturesque. It would be a nice place to sip some tea and study or do remote work. The staff who took our order was nice too. My friends and I stopped by after lunch to get drinks, I only tried the Ice Hoji Matcha, but my friends enjoyed their drinks. The drink I've had was good, it had a nice balance of bitterness from the matcha and sweetness from the milk/cream mixture. I would come back and just hang out for a bit next time that I'm in the area.
I've tried the Hoji Matcha and the Jaded Petal Milk tea. So far the matcha is my favorite. I like that the menu is small as it's not overwhelming and I can easily try all the flavors over a period of time. Nice place to take your laptop and chill while you drink your tea and friendly service.
Hojitea is so fun to get drinks at! It's located in the same lot as the outdoor Afters, with street parking most likely available. The decor and lighting inside is modern chic, with tables for both small and big groups. I immediately noticed how cozy the interior was, and the times I've been here, people often came here to study or hangout. Staff is kind and service has always been fast. There's a variety of tea I've gotten from here: -Oreo Uji Matcha -Hoji Iced Matcha -Japan Hojicha Blend -Jaded Petal Milk Tea -Taiwan Toffee Milk Tea -Jaded Petal Milk Tea I've loved them all and really appreciate the variety of tea base they have here compared to here tea spots. The tea is high quality, and I will definitely keep coming back for more! I gotta try the rest of the menu! :9
I really wanted to like this spot and was looking forward to coming here, but I'm wondering if maybe I came during an off day. HOJI Tea is known to be one of the best boba shops in Pasadena, and periodically goes viral on social media for its minimalist wabi-sabi aesthetic and beautifully colorful drinks. I stopped by on a weekday afternoon, and there was one person working at the counter. He helped answer my questions about the drinks patiently and was able to get them out without too long of a wait. *Onyx Hojicha Milk Tea: This was my favorite of the three, but their recommended sweetness was too bitter for me, so overall, it's not a drink I fully enjoyed. I couldn't taste the hojicha much, and as someone who loves a good hojicha latte, I would go elsewhere for that craving. *Mango Fruit Jade Tea: I was surprised by how opaque this drink was and thought it would be more tea-forward. The texture was thicker than expected and had mango pieces at the bottom. We were told it would be sweet and refreshing, but it leaned very sour. Maybe mangoes weren't in season at the time? I would just be cautious with ordering this, especially if you have GERD or acid reflux with how sour it was. *Fresh Grape & Lychee Jade Tea: I was hoping this one would have a nice natural sweetness of the fruits complementing the tea, but overall it tasted like I was drinking a candle. It was almost bland, but like in a waxy, perfumey way. Maybe it was the thick texture, but I've had grape and lychee-based drinks before at other boba shops and they didn't taste like this. I feel terrible admitting that I really couldn't finish it, as it seems to be a popular choice with some. You'll need to do street parking to reach this spot. There's plenty of non-ergonomic seating inside, where I could be fine sitting and catching up with friends, but I wouldn't survive trying to work here. The biggest plus for me is that it really was beautiful when we came in, with how the sunset lit up the place and how the interior was designed. I wonder if we just came in on an off day or something for the drinks, and would stop by if I'm already in the area to give this place another shot.
Was craving something sweet and hubby took me here for a drink. I was craving something fruity and got the fresh fruit cloud, mango. I actually really enjoyed it. Not too sweet and the mango chunks were pretty good, ripe enough and not bitter. My husband got the matcha latte, which was subpar. I do recall coming here a while ago and getting the Oreo matcha drink and was not impressed. Seems like the fruit teas are much better than the matcha drinks. The interior was super cuter and very aesthetically pleasing. It's pretty spacious inside. Kitchen is tucked away so there was no one there to greet us when we entered. It took some time but someone finally came out to take our order. She was very kind. The parking lot is very small but there is street parking.
We came here after dinner on a Sunday and surprisingly it was pretty packed! I really like the lighting and vibe at this place - very cozy! I got the fresh strawberry cloud with less sugar but it's a bit disappointing. I do like they use real strawberries but the overall taste is a bit bland. I barely taste any creaminess in this drink, which was what I was initially hoping for. Also, since they only have a few staff, you do have to wait a bit to get your orders in but staff are friendly! Easy street parking nearby!
Was suppose to go to Afters but stumble into this cute shop. I have seen this place popped out a lot on my IG but I didn't know it was next to Afters. The interior of the place is really cute and minimal. It's very aesthetic looking. I wanted to Hoji Matcha at first but I just had AYCE sushi earlier so that would have been too heavy. Instead I got a Matcha with oat milk. The drink was pretty delicious, I would order it again. read more

honestly one of the prettiest coffee/tea shops I've visited. there's plenty of seating and loved the vibes inside. I got the matcha latte 30% sweet and it was nice and refreshing. there was only one person working at the time and the shop was packed so it did take quite awhile for my drink to come out but that's alright - it was worth the wait read more

Drinks are yummy and boba texture is always spot on! Despite the area, parking is easy as well. I've visited when they first opened a long time ago and lately after their grand opening with consistent quality of drinks each time. The drinks are on the sweeter side, so adjust as needed. read more

I think I found my new fav boba place, but why it gotta be so far . Please open another location in LA, specifically culver-Mid-City LOL. But in all seriousness this is my fav boba place. The interior is so chic and minimal. The staff is also really nice super helpful in going over the menu and giving suggestions. They also have samples! I initially was going to get the hoji matcha but they had their jaded petal milk tea drink and it was so delicious like holy cow. I ended up getting two drinks. read more
We were looking for new boba places in the area that were opened a bit later as we just finished watching a movie in theaters and wanted a sweet little treat (movie ended at around 8:30 PM). Hoji Tea Community was open and not too far, so we decided to stop by. The décor and interior are very aesthetic, think whites, beiges, a bit modern and minimalistic. Lots of young adults and what not chatting and hanging out there and one attempting to do some work in a tiny corner (it was nighttime though, dude probably would have a better shot earlier in the day). There's a small lot next to the café that it shares with the After's Ice Cream and there's a good amount of street parking as well. We got the: 1) Hoji Thai Tea: -I got this less sweet and it's an iced drink. There's brulee swirled along the inside of the cup. -Honestly, it's alright. Not too sweet, not too strong of a Thai tea flavor. 2) Hoji Matcha: -Friend got this half sweet and it's a blended drink. -Decent matcha slushie type drink. Earthy taste, very icy. 3) Uji Sweet Cream: -In my opinion, the best of the three as my friend had a higher sweetness level than us. -Sweet creamy top to a matcha milk tea. -Not bad, but not super unique either. I feel like it's a hype place due to the aesthetic and how it mirrors overly hype boba places like OMOMO tea (which I also think is kinda mid). The little nook area with the shelves makes for great photos, but when we were there it seemed like there was a water leak or something coming from the inside behind/next to the seats near the wall and with so many people walking in it was really grimy and dirty and smelly, kinda gross, but not sure where that came from to be honest. PS. Also have no idea if the drinks actually have hojicha in it either or if it's just for namesake, I'm gonna be real. read more
My parents and I were looking for somewhere to kill some time before dinner, and I found this place to get a quick drink. We came on a Wednesday afternoon, around 3:30PM, and there was no line! Hoji Community has a cool, minimalistic interior with a good amount of seats. The reviews all raved about the boba, and honestly, it loves up to the hype. The matcha was strong, and the strawberry matcha was a good balance. My dad ordered the mango cloud, which he thought was ok. If I'm in pasadena, i'll definitely come back for another drink! I'd like to try the blended matcha drink one day. read more

The guy was super kind. But I have no idea why this place is priced so low. It is a little expensive. 10$ is the most I think I've ever paid for boba. The place is really pretty but idk if I'd come back regularly solely because pricing is a bit steep. Tea I got was super floral and the boba was cooked perfectly. I did get two add ins so it's probably why it was a little more. Plus a milk substitute. Service was quick. Good place for a first date probably tbh. Tea has a lovely flavor too and the ambience is super comforting. read more
Decided to get their most popular drink: The hoji matcha blend. The matcha quality tasted low quality and watered down. The only decent part was the tiny bit of creme brûlée. I really thought maybe I had misjudged them, but after a 4th try, I'm convinced this isn't my cup of tea. Some advice would be to use a better quality fir the matcha and more creme brulee. read more
Aesthetically pleasing cafe, yummy drinks, kind workers, free mini parking lot. Easy 5 stars! It's a very popular spot but the workers are efficient and we were able to get our drinks within minutes. The drinks are big too and it's the perfect Asian standard of "not too sweet" you get to choose your sweetness level and they actually make it as requested. Very small quiet cafe. I'll be back to try their popular matcha drink. Mini parking lot in front or street parking on a one way street. read more
I've been seeing this place blow up on social media and wanted to check it out! The inside decor is very aesthetic and has a minimalist vibe. There's some seating inside but not sure if it's a great place to study since there's no outlets and only a few tables. Their drink menu is similar to Omomo and has many blended drinks to choose from. It was our group's first time so they gave us some recommendations on the drinks and sweetness levels. The staff was friendly and helpful, which I appreciated! We ended up ordering the Hoji Matcha, Avocado Bliss w/strawberry bits, and Strawberry Green Tea. Overall, the drinks were good but nothing special. I thought that the Hoji Matcha didn't have that strong of a matcha flavor, but I enjoyed the consistency and it was refreshing on a hot day. Also, limited surface area for tables (only inside seating). Service: Friendly and kind service workers. That's it. You can expect what you're going to get (it's a good kind of service). Food: The place has a solid boba menu. It's not overwhelming for anyone who is looking for a new shop to try and majority of the options are common. Recommendations: Onyx Black Milk Tea or Jade Mountain Green Milk Tea for a classic, sweet drink that's not overpowering (keep it at "ideal" sweet level). read more

Probably the nicest boba shop in the SGV. It is Located in the same lot as Afters Ice Cream in Pasadena, so parking is pretty easy. Was blown away by the interior of this place! Their menu was very simple, only two types of milk teas and a variety of blended drinks. I tried both their milk tea and green milk tea and liked the strong tea flavor in each. Boba was sweet and chewy too. 10/10!! read more

Just found my new favorite boba shop! I personally ordered the Uji Matcha Sweet Cream with honey brown sugar boba (one of their popular drinks) - and it was revelational. It's a ceremonial uji matcha with jade mountain green tea topped with their signature cream, and it is a flavor symphony. I opted for "ideal" sweetness, and it was the perfect balance and not too sweet. You can really taste the elevated quality of the matcha, tea, and boba and it's truly exceptional. The service was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable as I had a few questions about the boba and matcha. The shop itself is a serene oasis, with a modern, earthy aesthetic that's both inviting and Instagram-worthy. I'll be coming back for more! read more
What an interesting tea joint in Pasadena. They occupy a quiet small lot with Afters Ice Cream. There are three parking spots in the lot but lots of free street parking on either side of Green Street. Their menu is divided into the blended drinks and the iced drinks. I tried the most popular blended Hoji Matcha with 50% sweetness. It had some bits of hojicha and matcha, probably what was stuck to the sides of the cup. The sweetness was perfect to my taste. The drink was almost $9 with tip. The interior gives off modern desert Moroccan vibes with the curtains, pillows, and short circle seats. It might feel like a small space to do work, but I think it's doable. The servers were friendly. The music can get loud. There is free wifi. There is an outlet by the window! I don't think there are bathrooms for the customers though. read more

I did like their hojicha it was a little different from the places I have gotten hojicha from, although my sibling got their mango peach and it was quite lacking in flavor you did get a hint of mango but the peach flavor was almost nonexistent. My sister got their lychee grape tea and that one was pretty good and it definitely had a strong tea flavor, we also got their mango jade tea which was very pronounced tea flavor so if you don't like strong floral teas I would not recommend but if you do definitely get it. Overall I would rate the ones we got a: Mango fruit jade tea 3/5 Fresh ice peach mango 2/5 Japan hojicha blend 5/5 Fresh grape and lychee grape jade tea 4/5 Brown sugar boba topping 3/5 I would recommend coming for their tea flavors as they seem to be a lot more pronounced and it might be what they are best at, also if you do not like overly sweet drinks I would also recommend giving it a try. read more
First off, I love the minimalistic interior design and space. There is a large irregular shaped table and bench in the middle and not very much seating other than that. I was pretty disappointed in their Hoji matcha drink which I compared to the Omomo matcha. The matcha itself is solid, but the blend with the cream wasn't great in my opinion. The cream was too salty and although I mixed it, I could still taste the saltiness of it. There were several icy bits for being an ice-blended drink and I wished the flavor was stronger. I tried my bf's strawberry cloud and it tasted solid, but it was quite sweet. Overall, I am a bit disappointed and would prefer Omomo over Hoji, but I enjoyed the aesthetics. I also appreciate that there is free street parking. I'm not inclined to come back but I wouldn't mind trying them again if a friend wanted to. read more

Trying out Hoji Tea in Pasadena which has been credited as Omomo's dupe! We ordered the uji matcha sweet cream ($6.95) and Oreo uji matcha (boba + oat milk -- $8.00). The matcha is definitely ceremonial grade and I would also credit this place to be an Omomo dupe! There was a short line but the service was quick. The ambiance has a modern vibe -- limited seating and no parking lot available. read more
I really liked the matcha hoji smoothie and it tastes like Omomo which i learned closed down. I think Hoji Tea is one of my top places for tea! I also liked the Thai tea drink as well as it came with cream and was light and airy. I'd definitely come back here to try more drinks! read more
FOOD I got the iconic matcha cream with 30% sweet. Since I reduced the sweetness, it was less creamy and more icy - which I prefer since I don't like my drinks too heavy. SERVICE super fast and nice AMBIANCE This spot is so aesthetic. Every corner begs for a picture. It's more of a grab and go spot since there's only one center table. Otherwise, you'll be sitting side by side. It's also not a great study spot given the seating layout and the lack of outlets. TLDR: good drink and vibey, esp if you're craving matcha, but I wouldn't drive too much out of the way for it. read more

I was able to stop by a few weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon to experience the hype of the new boba shop. They're still in soft opening, so the menu is limited - hoping that they will begin to expand on drinks in the near future. HOJI Tea is in the same lot as After's - definitely a smaller shop with some seating inside. Seems like most people just grab and go. Would recommend opting for street parking and walking over. Storefront itself has some cute aesthetics. On the louder side considering how small the store is. I ordered the Jasmine Sweet Cream ($5.75 plus $0.75 for brown sugar boba). Thought the price was fairly typical compared to most boba spots. I adjusted both sugar and sweetness - I enjoyed my drink. I felt that the tea was spot on, good flavor and pretty high quality. I also liked the sweet cream on top - getting the tea to have less sugar was the perfect call since there's sweetness from the cream. Boba was cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the fresh mango cloud ($6.75). I didn't get to try this drink, but he said that it tasted pretty good - and he could taste the amount of fresh mangoes that went into the drink. They're more known for their matcha drinks, but I personally am not a fan of matcha. Overall, a great new boba addition to Pasadena. Will be back to try some more drinks! read more
This place is like anthropology coded. It was cute and cozy mixed with wood beam ceilings. People in here are loud though so they ruin the vibe. The drinks were good and they were thick like slushes almost. They were quick with our orders but damn the price of boba be going up like the price of a meal read more

It's been a minute since I wrote a Yelp review and when I was halfway through my drink, I realize I just had to memorialize this experience. Came here with my friend since my friend's girlfriend found this spot in Yelp in passing. The interior looks a bit weird like something out of Star Wars. I ordered their #1 drink on Yelp which was Fresh Mango Cloud. I love mango but I always temper my expectation for mango since it's usually not fresh. When I sipped into my drink, it was a blast of fresh mango goodness. I had added boba as an topping and boy was it worth it. They literally filled up the drink half filled with boba. 10/10 experience and this review is to make sure I remember this for the future. read more

First time at Hoji Tea Community, and my boyfriend and I had a really great experience! He ordered the Hoji Matcha, and I got the Fresh Grape and Lychee Jade Tea. Both drinks were really refreshing and flavorful in their own unique way. The Hoji Matcha had a smooth, roasted depth to it, while my drink was light, fruity, and perfectly balanced. The shop itself is small and minimalistic, but it has a clean and relaxing vibe. It's perfect for enjoying a drink or catching up with a friend. The cashier was super friendly and helpful, taking the time to walk us through the menu and offering great recommendations since it was our first visit. That personal touch made the experience even better. Can't wait to come back and try more! read more
#102 in my Teaholic Diaries. First things first, the shop itself is stunning with it's modern chic interior design. They did well in decorating the modest space with a white color scheme that includes gauzy off white curtains, white stucco and brick walls, and a white concrete floor. There's also an irregular shaped table and bench that serves as the shop's focal point while also complementing the aforementioned white interior accents. Suffice to say, I loved walking into this shop. Unfortunately, I wasn't nearly as happy when I walked out. As beautiful as the shop was, the drinks are where my expectations fell short. I heard comparisons were being made to Omomo, which I love and was once obsessed with (in Irvine and Chino Hills), but I'm just not seeing it. I ordered two drinks, the Hoji Thai tea and the Uji sweet cream. I wasn't a fan of the uji drink, which had an overpowering almost floral taste - like jasmine. Now, don't get me wrong - I do like floral drinks to an extent, but not if it's so strong that it reminds me of perfume. Lol. As for the Thai tea, I've had better. One thing to note, I wish they'd asked me if I wanted to adjust the sweetness level when I placed my order, as I forgot to check if that was an option. Without any adjustments, the Thai tea drink was a bit too sweet. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Parking: I would just park at the side street or the front of the store. Fresh Mango Green Tea: Highly recommend. Nice subtle flavor between the mango and green tea. Definitely a refreshing drink to get. Hoji Matcha: If you're craving for the OMOMO matcha swirl drink in Pasadena I would get it here. I would recommend to mix the drink in the beginning because I think I just received less flavoring than letting the drink settle down for a minute. read more

I've only been here twice and I have tried the Hoji matcha blended, uji matcha sweet cream, fresh jade mountain tea and fresh mango cloud blended. I feel like their blended drinks are the best here. Hojimatcha is my favorite from them so far from the four drinks I've tried. Their sweet cream isn't my favorite. It's not really a sweet cream more like sea salt cream. I taste the saltiness at the end of the drink when I got the sweet cream drinks. Parking can be hard since it's street parking and their lot only has 3 car slot. There's only one big table inside and several side seatings. Their menu isn't big but at least they specialize on those drinks. read more
I heard that this place was a dupe for Omomo which I really liked, so I decided to check it out with some friends. I ordered their fresh strawberry cloud drink and I'd give it a 3/5. The drink was more icy than I'd like and not creamy. it was more like a strawberry slushie. The strawberry flavor was there, which was nice. If you like a strawberry slush, I'd recommend this drink. The interior of the shop was also really cute. It was a nice place to chat and hang out, and there's an ice cream shop right next door. I would be curious what their other drinks taste like. read more

I've been here a few times, and overall, it's fine. The drinks are decent--not bad, but nothing that really stands out. It's an okay option if you're in the area and looking for a casual spot to grab a drink. That said, the interior is beautiful--minimalist and calming, almost like something out of Kim Kardashian's house. It's a great place to chill or catch up with a friend. The cashiers are also really friendly, which adds to the overall laid-back vibe. read more
4 stars This cute little spot is located right next to Afters ice cream. This is the place to be if you like matcha and pottery. The decor is reminiscent of clay & pristine pottery. While it's cute, I think the shop is a little too small & crowded for my liking. During this visit, I ordered the Hoji Matcha ($6.75) at 50% sweet, which was the perfect amount of sweet for me. The drink came out ice blended. The matcha wasn't bitter. I think it's a pretty solid drink, but the price is on the higher side. I'd still stop by if I'm in the area next time. read more

I just happened to be in Pasadena that day and I was really craving boba. I've heard about HOJI through Yelp and TikTok, so I was a bit curious to try it. I know that Pasadena doesn't really have the greatest options for boba compared to San Gabriel, but I wanted something really close by lol. This cute boba shop is located literally right next to Afters. Expect to do street parking! There's no public restrooms either, and the shop is very small; however, there are some seatings here and there. Very cute aesthetic overall and definitely a nice vibe. So there menu is very limited. It's either blended drinks or iced drinks, and a lot of the menu items seems very close to like Omomo. I'm more of a tea-based type of gal, and a lot of the drinks do seem very sweetened, but I didn't want something too 'plain' so I went with the Uji Sweet Cream. My bf is also more of a "refreshing tea" type of person, which there wasn't that many options for him tbh, so he tried the Strawberry Green Tea. First trying off my drink, I got my Uji Sweet Cream 50% sugar and brown sugar boba. Highkey it really tasted like the uji green milk tea from omomo, which at first I thought the initial taste was pretty good, but then hmmmm... It felt like it was missing something? The tea taste wasn't that strong, and I really didn't like the cream at all. The cream at first did taste like a frosting from a cake, but as it sat in my drink more, it tased like a really unappetizing cheese. The 'sweet cream' flavor was too strong to have by itself in my drink. Even mixing it with the drink didn't really help that either. The boba itself was pretty decent. I liked the texture of it, but it was a littttttle too chewy. I think it could have been sweeter as well. Then I tried my bf's Strawberry Green Tea, this is a hard pass haha. The strawberry taste was sooo artificial tasting, and it tasted like there was more strawberry than green tea. It honestly looked like a watermelon drink, and it tasted like something you'd get from a stall and not from a real boba shop. Overall, the quality was pretty disappointing, but I feel that is expected from a shop in Pasadena. The cashier was really nice though and ordering was easy! Came here for the first time with my friend and got the Strawberry Cloud. Staff was friendly, and the interior was nice. Parking is street parking, can be a bit tricky during busy hours as they get filled fast. The drink itself wasn't too bad, but tbh it didn't really stand out. It didn't really have a strong strawberry taste which I was hoping for.. it was more of a watered down strawberry with a bit of creaminess. I'm definitely going to try a different drink next time I come here to see if it was an off day. read more
