small tea shop in Pasadena, seem like a nice little shop to do work in as they have free Wi-Fi. They have some seating but mostly just seats by the wall. Aesthetics in the shop is pretty nice, very modern and bright, perfect spot to do work. Parking - Shared with Afters Ice Cream right across, very small parking lot, 4 spots only. Street parking is available but the street itself is a one way street. My wife and I both shared the Onyx Hojicha MT and the Oreo Uji Matcha, both were very refreshing as the day was pretty warm. The drinks came out pretty fast as well so props to the staff for preparing them quickly. The matcha is not very overwhelming which is always a good sign to see when you purchase matcha drinks. Oreo mixed with matcha is always a solid choice for me so I recommend this drink when you visit. Overall, a very simple but high quality shop, it's a bit on the expensive side when it comes to tea shops but it's definitely worth checking them out as their drinks are on the higher quality side.
Minimalist bubble tea shop in Pasadena that is known for their hojicha and matcha based drinks. It has a pretty quiet and calm atmosphere, making it a cozy spot to hang out. My husband and I both really enjoyed the drinks. I would recommend the following: The Onyx Hojicha Milk Tea is a mix of Taiwan onyx black tea with hojicha charcoal roasted tea and house milk. It had a roasted, nutty, smoky, and creamy flavor profile. I am a big fan of how it tasted - more elevated than your typical milk tea. Brown sugar boba paired perfectly with this drink. The Oreo Uji Matcha is made with ceremonial-grade matcha imported from Japan, house milk, house cream, and crushed oreos. It tasted sweet, rich, and slightly earthy. The flavor of the oreo cookies balanced out the matcha in a good way. It was also delicious with brown sugar boba.
sadly I was pretty disappointed with my drink The staff is very friendly and recommended the blended matcha. I figured I go for it since I'm always looking for new places to get matcha. It looks like a great drink and has great color, and the first few sips I really liked the rich smoothie like texture. But as I kept drinking all the ice chunks came out and it turned into an melting icy drink. The matcha also had good flavor but it wasn't blended well, there was a ton of unmixed matcha powder throughout the drink so every sip was dried out with the matcha powder. Overall, it just wasn't a great drink or something I would come back for
Was in the area and decided to stop by for some drinks since I haven't been here in a couple years. They have really cool interior decor and seating is comfortable for casual chatting with friends. I ordered the Mango Cloud this time less sweet (7.42), and also the Matcha Blend. The price has went up a bit since the last time I was here but the cup is still the same size. The drinks took around 5 minutes or so to be ready. The mango cloud is as good as other reviews said. There is mango chunks in the drink and it is blended very well so it is a smoothie consistency. It also has some cream but I couldn't really taste it. I got less sweet so the sweetness level was perfect for me. I enjoyed the drink and my only complaint is the price but all drinks are around this price especially for fruit blended ones. I would recommend it if you're not looking for a matcha drink, but their matcha blend was also good as well with authentic matcha.
I was in the area so stopped by for a drink. There was no wait to order and staff was patient when my card was having issues during payment. There's no public restroom but there's some seating inside. I got the hoji matcha cloud ($7.45) at less sweet. The price has gone up since the last time I've been here, which is expected. I think it's still decent for the price at the cup size. The matcha is pretty strong but still has some sweetness.
Came by HOJI Tea Community while I was up around Pasadena and found a nice little shop. I really like the super minimalist and industrial look that they're going for inside! Street parking is a little limited, at least from where I chose to be, but it's not that much of a walk so I didn't mind it. I got an Oreo Uji Matcha and I found it to be pretty good. I didn't mind that it tasted pretty similar to other Oreo matcha drinks, and it was what I was going for. It kind of reminds me of the Oreo Brulee from Omomo, so if you like that drink, I think you'd also enjoy this one. Overall recommend!!
The interior of this tea shop was such a vibe, it was clean, nicely decorated and picturesque. It would be a nice place to sip some tea and study or do remote work. The staff who took our order was nice too. My friends and I stopped by after lunch to get drinks, I only tried the Ice Hoji Matcha, but my friends enjoyed their drinks. The drink I've had was good, it had a nice balance of bitterness from the matcha and sweetness from the milk/cream mixture. I would come back and just hang out for a bit next time that I'm in the area.
I've ended up at Hoji more times than I planned, mostly because every other boba shop is already closed. I appreciate the late hours, and the drinks are pretty good too. Nothing extraordinary and certainly on the pricey end ($7+ per drink), but I'm willing to pay the premium for the hour.
Hojitea is so fun to get drinks at! It's located in the same lot as the outdoor Afters, with street parking most likely available. The decor and lighting inside is modern chic, with tables for both small and big groups. I immediately noticed how cozy the interior was, and the times I've been here, people often came here to study or hangout. Staff is kind and service has always been fast. There's a variety of tea I've gotten from here: -Oreo Uji Matcha -Hoji Iced Matcha -Japan Hojicha Blend -Jaded Petal Milk Tea -Taiwan Toffee Milk Tea -Jaded Petal Milk Tea I've loved them all and really appreciate the variety of tea base they have here compared to here tea spots. The tea is high quality, and I will definitely keep coming back for more! I gotta try the rest of the menu! :9
This Japanese style tea house in Pasadena is pretty brilliant because it's adjacent to an ice cream corner shop and they share a parking lot, with outdoor patios. This is a very lovely indoor tea house, and it makes custom teas, milk teas and a variety of flavor and toppings, including boba, and my personal favorite, lychee, are available. The whole ambiance and decor are simple and clean. True Japanese feels. Also, the packaging of the teas is j'adorable! Check it out! I tried the refreshing grape juice with lychee drink. Fabulous!
I've tried the Hoji Matcha and the Jaded Petal Milk tea. So far the matcha is my favorite. I like that the menu is small as it's not overwhelming and I can easily try all the flavors over a period of time. Nice place to take your laptop and chill while you drink your tea and friendly service.
I really wanted to like this spot and was looking forward to coming here, but I'm wondering if maybe I came during an off day. HOJI Tea is known to be one of the best boba shops in Pasadena, and periodically goes viral on social media for its minimalist wabi-sabi aesthetic and beautifully colorful drinks. I stopped by on a weekday afternoon, and there was one person working at the counter. He helped answer my questions about the drinks patiently and was able to get them out without too long of a wait. *Onyx Hojicha Milk Tea: This was my favorite of the three, but their recommended sweetness was too bitter for me, so overall, it's not a drink I fully enjoyed. I couldn't taste the hojicha much, and as someone who loves a good hojicha latte, I would go elsewhere for that craving. *Mango Fruit Jade Tea: I was surprised by how opaque this drink was and thought it would be more tea-forward. The texture was thicker than expected and had mango pieces at the bottom. We were told it would be sweet and refreshing, but it leaned very sour. Maybe mangoes weren't in season at the time? I would just be cautious with ordering this, especially if you have GERD or acid reflux with how sour it was. *Fresh Grape & Lychee Jade Tea: I was hoping this one would have a nice natural sweetness of the fruits complementing the tea, but overall it tasted like I was drinking a candle. It was almost bland, but like in a waxy, perfumey way. Maybe it was the thick texture, but I've had grape and lychee-based drinks before at other boba shops and they didn't taste like this. I feel terrible admitting that I really couldn't finish it, as it seems to be a popular choice with some. You'll need to do street parking to reach this spot. There's plenty of non-ergonomic seating inside, where I could be fine sitting and catching up with friends, but I wouldn't survive trying to work here. The biggest plus for me is that it really was beautiful when we came in, with how the sunset lit up the place and how the interior was designed. I wonder if we just came in on an off day or something for the drinks, and would stop by if I'm already in the area to give this place another shot.
Was craving something sweet and hubby took me here for a drink. I was craving something fruity and got the fresh fruit cloud, mango. I actually really enjoyed it. Not too sweet and the mango chunks were pretty good, ripe enough and not bitter. My husband got the matcha latte, which was subpar. I do recall coming here a while ago and getting the Oreo matcha drink and was not impressed. Seems like the fruit teas are much better than the matcha drinks. The interior was super cuter and very aesthetically pleasing. It's pretty spacious inside. Kitchen is tucked away so there was no one there to greet us when we entered. It took some time but someone finally came out to take our order. She was very kind. The parking lot is very small but there is street parking.

This tea shop is located on the corner, next to After's ice cream (Green St. & Chester). It was my first time here and parking was a bit challenging to find. Luckily, there were some street parking (not shaded) and one spot left in the parking lot, a few minutes before the shop opened. There is a wall unit AC set at 61, which was surprisingly efficient. I hung around for 2 hours and it didn't feel stuffy or hot. There is one large stone table with chairs all around. There were 5 people spaced out around the table, so we stuck to the side ledges/seats. They were surprisingly comfortable & there are a few long, under stuffed pillows. The table by the window was broken & had a sign asking customers not to use it. I would have liked to see a menu, so we didn't need to wait until we were in front of the register. It would also be nice aesthetics. They were out of Jade tea & uji matcha . They offer non dairy options, sugar & ice adjustment levels. The girl who took my order was sweet & i appreciated her reading my order back to confirm. My drinks came out a few minutes later. The jasmine milk tea was delicious! I got it with 0% sugar & 0% ice with aloe Vera. The aloe Vera texture was great & a bit sweet. I got the green tea and have yet to try it. with 0% sugar & 0% ice with aloe Vera. I was concerned when I saw how they clean off the rim of the cup before placing the lid and sealing it. They have the washcloth on a stick that they use to clean the rim of every drink. It could just be the coloring of the cloth (dark red/brown/black) which made me feel like it was dirty. There are also six cloths lined up behind them laying on a table. I would have liked to see them stored in a container to prevent contamination. In addition, I was there for two hours and the cloth was never changed. I don't know what their policy is, but I'm sure they sold at least 20 drinks, if not more. The customer next to us drank about a quarter of her drink and asked them to fill it up with ice. Most tea places or restaurants I've been to will decline the customers request to prevent contamination of equipment from the customer's cup. I am hoping they poured into a new cup filled it up with ice and then sealed it. Even then, if the drink splashes onto the ice scooper, the scooper will contaminate the rest of the ice, which goes in peoples drinks. Maybe they can offer her a cup of ice or change the scooper after. They may have done that, I couldn't see that far back. I don't know if I'll order when I come back with my friend, but the flavor of the tea is good. I really like that they use real fruit & not syrup. My friend got the slush with cream & you could see the chunks of mango. read more
Hoji is a small shop in Pasadena located next to the After's Ice Cream. I visited around 8:30 PM on a weekday. There was plenty of street parking available at that time. I was able to order my drink right away. I got the Hoji Matcha with 25% sugar, less ice with boba. The drink was okay, but I would have preferred it to be slightly sweeter. I'd probably get 50% sugar, half ice in my next visit. Note: They accept American Express. read more

I've seen a bunch of social media videos and post about HOJI Tea so I wanted to check it out. I heard it's an OMOMO dupe. It's right by After's Ice Cream and there is street parking. We went around 9 pm and there were a few people inside the shop. It has a very beige and casual aesthetic. There is plenty of seating inside. Fresh strawberry milk (3.5/5): The strawberry bits tasted nice and fresh. You can't adjust the sweetness on this drink. I feel like it could've been a little bit sweeter but it was mostly a milk taste. They don't have sizes but it was a good amount. A little pricey I would say. This was a nice and aesthetic tea shop to hit up in Pasadena. The menu isn't too big but they have something for everyone. My friends enjoyed their blended drinks but would say OMOMO's is better because it was too icey in comparison. If you weren't there to compare then it is an overall chill spot. read more
Slowly making my way around the 626 area to hit all the new and upcoming boba spots. Finally after months of seeing this place all over my for you page, I made it out to HOJI Tea Community. This spot is so cute and small, also located near PCC. Although it's located in Pasadena, there's tons of available parking in the shared lot or on the street. Walking into the shop, I absolutely love the attention to detail on the decoration, it was very modern and minimalistic. This is the type of aesthetic that really captures my attention. I came in and ordered the Uji Matcha Sweet Cream. The matcha latte wasn't too strong, but overall the drink was light and creamy. We also ordered the Fresh Strawberry Cloud, this drink wasn't our favorite. You'd think because it's a smoothie it would be on the sweeter side, but it came out quite sour.. I assume it's because of the fresh strawberries? We actually brought up to the staff that the Strawberry Cloud drink was a bit too sour for our liking and she just told us that this is normal for the drink, and that it was due to the house cream (Sea Salt Foam). I was taken back by the response...because of her attitude towards the situation and she didn't feel the need to remedy the situation. However, a few moments later one of the bobarista came out from the back offering to remake the drink or change the drink out for us. I personally think he handled the situation really well and changed my opinion on the service here. We didn't get his name, but shout out to him! read more
Had to check this place out early, before they get crowded! Beautifully designed shop, every minimalist girls dream!! they have a limited drink menu, I opted for a milk tea and cream top jasmine, both good. The milk tea was more similar to an HK style, a richer black tea and the jasmine green tea was quite flavorful. Parking on Green, not terrible, depending on the time, there is 3 spots in the lot they share conjoined with afters! read more
Kind of like an Omomo dupe LOL. Interior is super nice, parking is street parking with super minimal lot parking. Small menu so it's easy to choose a drink from. Ordered their blended strawberry with less sweet. It was more on the sour side and I don't think they use fresh strawberries like Omomo does. Tastes like the frozen strawberries thawed out (speaking from experience working at a boba shop in the past) but I could be wrong. I'd probably make a trip to Omomo instead but wouldn't be fully opposed to giving it another try with their milk teas. read more
Someone on Tiktok said this was an OMOMO dupe and I could not agree more! Even down to the packaging, it was so similar. Firstly, the interior was beautiful. Very modern chic but I was into it. I went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was definitely busy but nothing too crazy. I got the Hoji Matcha--which I definitely thought was very yummy. My partner got the Mango blended drink (forgot its exact name) and personally we'd probably opt for a different drink next time, but it was mango-y and still good! I love the aesthetic of this place. Clean lines and appealing to the eyes and cute. The service was exceptional, the girl who help was very helpful 10 out of 10. Hoji is a relatively new boba spot in Pasadena with high quality drinks at slightly more expensive prices. There menu changes from time to time so there's always something new I can try and their interior decor is some of the nicest out of the boba shops in the area (super pretty for pictures). This has become a go to spot when I'm in the area and I definitely recommend you try it out! read more
I kept seeing this place and was super excited to finally check it out! It's pretty small inside but it's very minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing. The person who was taking our order was so friendly and patient. Since it was our first time, I asked her what the popular drinks were and she gave me an entire rundown of the menu and what she would suggest. Amazing service here. The drinks did take a while, but there were a good amount of people in front of us in line. What we ordered: - Uji matcha sweet cream with boba (50% sweet): it was the perfect sweetness level. The matcha was so rich and the cream at the top of the drink was a nice touch that complemented the matcha well. The boba was so chewy and overall had a very nice and fresh texture and consistency - Hoji matcha (100% sweet): my bf loves omomo and thought that this drink was very similar to their drink. The matcha flavor was really good. The texture of the drink was very smooth, blended well, and less icy compared to other places, which he really liked Very pleasant experience here and would come back if ever in the area again! read more

So happy to have another boba shop in Pasadena! This is one of the better boba shops in Pasadena in my opinion. I was worried about finding parking here, but there is actually a lot of street parking! I got the hoji matcha and it was really good! I'm pretty picky when it comes to matcha and this drink did not disappoint. I got 30% sugar but I think I will go with 50% next time. Their blended drinks remind me of Omomo. I definitely want to come back to try the other flavors! Service was great and the interior looks really nice. read more

[ Drinks ] The Oreo Uji Matcha, Fresh Strawberry Cloud, and Fresh Mango Cloud are so good. The oreo one is more decadent but the matcha balances it out a bit. I love the house cream that's in the cloud drinks, it's not too heavy. [ Service ] Customer service is good whenever I go. The aesthetics of this shop is pretty cute. They are right where Afters Ice Cream [ Restroom ] No restroom. read more

I stopped by this boba spot for the first time, and I was honestly surprised by how nice the interior is. The space feels bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The vibe and lighting is calm, peaceful, and very relaxing. The drinks were solid too. My order came out quickly, the barista, Marty, was super nice and gave great recommendations! The boba had a good chew, and the flavors tasted fresh rather than overly sweet. It's not often you find a boba shop that puts as much effort into the atmosphere as the menu, and it really makes a difference. If you're looking for a spot to chill, hang out with friends, or just enjoy a good drink in a nice setting, this place is definitely worth a visit. Amazing new boba addition to the Pasadena area, and without the fuss of having to look or pay for parking. I've tried their Uji Sweet Cream Matcha milk tea and the blended Strawberry Cloud and was really impressed with both. They both use the house cream, and I think this is the key ingredient that makes their drinks so delicious. It tastes pretty similar to cheese foam that's sold at other places. The milk tea was really creamy and at 80% sweet, it was perfect. One thing that's very different yet interesting about this place is that they don't ask if you want to make adjustments to ice level on the milk teas, but the amount of ice they use is on the lower end. It's nice to see that they're not trying to cut down on ingredients and really try to stretch what you get. I also got the Fresh Strawberry Cloud at 80% sweet and it was also perfect in taste. A lot of sweetness comes from the strawberries which I could tell were very fresh. I liked that despite being blended, the texture was very smooth because the ice particles were very fine that it doesn't taste like you're drinking ice. A lot of blended drinks at other boba places have a rough texture because the ice is not as fine, but Hoji Tea does it just right! Boba on both occasions was prefect as well. It's sweet and also springy which is great because at most boba places, it's usually one or the other. Rarely do places get down both. Their menu is very small, but I like that, because less is more! read more
First time at HOJI Tea Community and I love it! I ordered the fresh mango cloud, and let me tell you, it's the perfect antidote for this hot SoCal weather. Not too sweet, not too bland--just the right amount of sweetness to make your taste buds do a happy dance. I also adore their little corner setup. They've got the front looking super aesthetic, ideal for a quick photo shoot to promote their store (or, you know, your Instagram feed). The staff? Absolutely delightful and knowledgeable. I asked for something sweeter since I have a bit of a sweet tooth, and they were more than happy to guide me. Ten out of ten, I will come again! Next time, I'll definitely be trying one of their other popular drinks. read more

Came here for the first time with my friend and got the Strawberry Cloud. Staff was friendly, and the interior was nice. Parking is street parking, can be a bit tricky during busy hours as they get filled fast. The drink itself wasn't too bad, but tbh it didn't really stand out. It didn't really have a strong strawberry taste which I was hoping for.. it was more of a watered down strawberry with a bit of creaminess. I'm definitely going to try a different drink next time I come here to see if it was an off day. read more

Uji matcha tasted oddly like bubblegum - my party of 4 all took a sip because we couldn't believe how odd the flavor was. I'm not a matcha fan but everyone else who tasted it is a huge matcha fan and they were all grossed out. Would recommend steering clear of that one. The black milk tea and strawberry cloud were both very good. I got the black milk tea with boba and oreo and it was pretty good. My girlfriend got the strawberry cloud and said it was delicious and she would get it again! Of course, I feel like comparing it to Omomo is a given considering they seem to be subtly throwing shade at them in their sign- presumably so people take pictures and share on social media (something like "triangles are square. IYKYK.", I'm assuming this is referencing Omomo's iconic triangle logo.) Compared to Omomo, it was pretty good, but I don't think anything beats it LOL. I would come back here again though for the black milk tea. The whole interior is white and aesthetic. Very curated space. They have some seating inside but the air conditioning isn't on very high so it felt warm in there - there are better places to come hang out/study. No bathrooms available - when we asked, they told us the closest one would probably be at a nearby McDonald's. For parking, street parking or park at the Afters next door. read more

Good drinks and cute aesthetic. Parking is plentiful on the street. Green St is one way, so it does get annoying if you drive past it. The drink sweetness level runs a tad on the sweeter side than expected. Getting the drinks also took a bit longer than expected *but* it was after dinner hours. read more

Grand Opening Day - Labubu Giveaway! I visited on their Grand Opening day, arriving at 9:30 am to get in line for their promotion: the first 50 customers would receive a free Labubu Blind Box. I was really excited about this! When I got there, I was around 40th in line, so I figured I'd definitely get one. However, after they opened, they started handing out tickets for the first 50 customers, and unfortunately, many people cut in line. This caused my position to jump all the way to 114th! A lot of people left because of this confusion, and I was frustrated after already waiting for 2 hours. Even though I was disappointed, I decided to wait a little longer for the drinks. I ended up waiting a total of 4.5 hours. While I understand that long waits can be expected during a grand opening, it was upsetting that those of us who waited the longest weren't given priority, especially for the promotion. Once I finally got my drinks, I ordered the Hoji Matcha Blend and the Fresh Avocado Bliss. The Hoji Matcha Blend was good, but I personally wish it had a stronger matcha flavor. Comparing it to Omomo, it's a solid option and much closer in location, so I'd definitely come back. read more
Wanted to try this place out after seeing this all over social media. They are located right next to Afters Ice Cream. The place is pretty small but they do have a few seats. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and there were a bunch of people inside. It was quite loud so I don't recommend if you are planning on coming here to study/work. I wasn't sure which drink to get so the worker told me he really likes the fresh mango cloud and the fresh strawberry cloud. I decided to go with the mango one with 50% sugar. My boyfriend ordered their fresh king taro milk tea with 80% sugar. I thought my drink was just ok. It wasn't anything special but the mango was really fresh and sweet. If you don't like your drinks too sweet I recommend getting it with 50% sugar or even 25% as I thought 50% was still pretty sweet because of the mango. When I first sipped the taro milk tea, I really enjoyed it because they use real taro puree but after taking a few more sips, it became too sweet and I realized that I wasn't even able to get any tea flavor. My boyfriend also thought the same thing. I'm assuming they gave us the fresh king taro instead of the one with tea. Overall, I had an ok experience for my first visit but I would come back to try their other drinks. read more

This place has amazing reviews so I'm so sad to say that the matcha is just ok. I got the iced HOJI matcha with 0% sugar... but it was still quite sweet (assuming from the cream on the cup). The cream was a matcha cream that had a bit of a roasted brown sugar taste. Sadly the quality of the matcha was not very good - personally I would order something else here. Arguable the HOTTEST new boba place in town and I'm happy to say it actually lives up to the hype! Located on Green St. (the next street up from Colorado), HOJI is conveniently situated right next to Afters (quite dangerous for fans of both..... or great, depending on your outlook ). Drinks: they have a decent sized menu with a good variety of ice blended fruit and tea drinks. I got one of their signature ice blended drinks, the Hoji Matcha at 50% sweetness. I was a little hesitant because I like my drinks on the sweeter side, but didn't want to get 75% in case the default taste is sweeter than usual since the drinks only came in one size. Thankfully, the drink came out perfect! The matcha taste was prominent, but not overpowering and the sweetness complimented the (almost cheesy) cream mixed in. The different elements blended harmoniously together in a symphony of flavor. I can't wait to try their other drinks! Ambience: if "aesthetically pleasing" was a boba shop, HOJI is it! The entire interior is coated in a light dalgona color gradient with various seating and tables in the shade range. Stools of varying height and a bench running the length of the back wall invite patrons to sit with their soft lines and curved tables offer ample space for drink and work. The music is a mix of ethereal pop, rnb, and light edm. Overall, a great environment to chill solo, with friends, or to snap pictures at. read more

HOJI has easily become one of my favorite boba shops in Pasadena! I've been here many times before their grand opening today and have probably tried every single drink on the menu at this point, and all the drinks are amazing!! The staff are sooo friendly! During their first few weeks, they were trialing different drinks and always asked for our opinion on how it tasted before we left. I really appreciate that they did this to build the menu they have today. Lastly, I love the aesthetic--it's very cozy and Instagrammable, with a perfect mix of modern and warm vibes. Whether I'm here to work or just catch up with friends, it's always a great spot to relax. We also loved the grand opening celebration! HOJI has the best matcha drinks in Pasadena!! We went during the soft opening and they didn't have any alternative milks yet. But when we went back in November, they have alternative milks and can make almost any drink dairy free now!! They are known for their matcha, and the drinks are so creamy and smooth. We also tried their black tea which is strong and delicious. Their boba is also really good! The interior of the boba shop stands out as its white brick, stone tables, and granite chairs and looks modern and trendy. We went on a Saturday and it was packed with people on their laptops and studying. We went back on a Wednesday afternoon and it was completely empty so it varies. There's a small parking lot but I highly recommend doing street parking and walking to HOJI. I'll definitely be back when I have a matcha craving, especially when Santa Ana is too far. read more

Soo many people on tiktok were saying this place was an omomo for the 626 and they weren't lying! I actually prefer this place over omomo because their teas tasted like better quality and were less sweet which is what i prefer read more
Interior is sleek and would be relaxing if the music was lower but part of that could be me. Long last few days. Service was friendly and drinks came out fairly quickly. We started to complain to ourselves on the way back to the car with it drinks because the selection was limited however once we tried our drinks- the kid said it's good to go to a place where all their drinks are on point. We ordered at 50% sweetness. Grandpa had Strawberry Cloud with boba, V had the Matcha with Boba and I had the Mango Cloud with Lychee. I tried his Matcha and when we return- I'll get that. Went to this place to try during my work break :) Girl working there was really sweet and it was a very calm vibe on the inside! I got a HOJI Matcha Blended with boba and it was really good, kind of reminds me of Omomo but I liked this better personally. Will be coming back soon! read more
The hype is real at HOJI Tea Community! This new boba shop is serving up some exquisite drinks. This spot is located in the same plaza as Afters Ice Cream where there is a small parking lot. There is also street parking all around the neighborhood so that will probably be your best bet. Once you walk in, you'll be greeted by a modern and minimalistic interior. There's room for about maybe 8-10 people to sit so keep that in mind if you have a bigger party or come during a busy time. Another thing to keep note of is that this spot opens at 2pm. We came around 1:50ish and there was already a line at the door. As for the drinks, we got the strawberry green tea and the uji sweet cream. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! Located right next to Afters Ice Cream, we were able to find street parking along the block on a Saturday afternoon. Since it's a new tea place that recently opened in the 626, a line was expected; we waited about 10 mins before we got our orders taken. I got the jasmine sweet cream and bf got the Hoji matcha--both at 80% sweetness. The drinks were still a bit sweet for our taste but they were decent. I prefer the jasmine over the matcha; however, i think both needed stronger tea flavors. read more
I've been eyeing this place and finally tried it! Their original drink the Hoji tea has swirls of premium matcha with delicious creaminess. The staff member was nice and the space had a clean modern feel to it with some searing. I liked the drink so much I got another to go. There is free street parking and a small lot that is shared with a gas station-esque ice cream shop. read more

We were here for the grand opening but have been going to HOJI since last year and the drinks were always great. Today we ordered the Jaded Petal Milk Tea, Fresh Strawberry Uji Matcha, Fresh White Grape & Lychee Jade Tea, and Strawberry Fresh Fruit Jade Tea. All of them were tasty and the right amount of sweet. The staff were really nice and I loved that they kept politely answering customers on what order number they were on due to the longer wait because of the BOGO deal today. The interior of the place is also beautiful and I loved how they played some of Jennie's new songs from her album RUBY today. It was a vibe while waiting for our drinks--we'll be back! read more
