Fried chicken sandwich places are popping up everywhere but I gotta say, this place has the most "light and fluffy" fried chicken. Not super heavy like other places. I tried the Holdaak spicy. It made my eyes water for sure but was still manageable. The sauce was super good. The bread was okay, but I like the bread at Dave's better. I felt it was missing pickles too and the slaw was a little strong but still good. I give it four stars overall for chicken sandwich rating. I got the combo which comes with the Holdaak's original chicken sandwich that comes with the signature double fried chicken, topped with a delicious tangy caramelized onion ketchup, seedless jalapenos, pickled red onion, and pickled daikon radish, all in a fresh toasted Amish bun. Then it came with 2 pieces chicken strips with fries. Double fried, hand breaded chicken strips. Served with a side of shake fries. Definitely coming back! We have visited Holdaak a few times prior and it has always been "the best chicken sandwich we've ever had". The food is always fresh and juicy. The place has always been clean and welcoming but this time was better than usual! We always get the chicken sandwich with a strip and as we were eating the cook from the back had brought us out a basket full of chicken bites to try.
