I've come here numerous times for dinner, happy hour, late night, and now for brunch. This place is an absolute gem. Decided to try the cheesy burger, and it was cooked exactly to my liking. The truffle fries with the garlic aioli is just super tasty and addicting. That aioli is what makes those fries soooo good. Also had the avocado smash with a poached egg and that was quite tasty, bread was toasted but wasn't hard which was refreshing. And for drinks, tried the Paloma (I forgot the name) but it's on their cocktail menu and that was VERY STRONG & also tasty. Restrooms are gender neutral, music isn't so loud and the ambiance itself is just chill and relaxed. Will continue to come to this place again and again. I was surprisingly impressed with Hole in the Wall Williamsburg. My sister and I needed a nearby post yoga brunch and we weren't disappointed. I chose the mushroom avocado toast, usually served with a poached egg, but I opted for an over-easy egg instead. It was delicious, especially with the side of bacon and avocado. Definitely not what I expected, this spot is the nicest hole in the wall I've ever been to! Dined for lunch during the week, outside seating was a little busy, we sat inside and it was pretty quiet, covid regulations in full effect. Started with the golden latte, they were able to customize to fit my keto diet, also I had the chicken sandwich with no bun. Chicken was juicy and delicious, served with a side salad. Review for brunch - really closer to a 4.5 rating. I honestly didn't expect much from coming here. From the menu it sounded like your typical brunch spot. I was pleasantly surprised by not only the quality but by the portions. I got the spring bowl, and it was so freaking tasty - those corn fritters were the star. I only wish it came with a side of sambal, I'll have to ask for it next time. The service was lovely and even though this place is next to Bedford (aka loud/busy), they have a nice outdoor set up and will even bring out some water if you have a dog. Will certainly be down to come back and try more items off their menu. read more

Really cute place . Just came for lattes . I had the matcha latte with oat milk and simple syrup . What I loved most is that it wasn't extremely hot where I couldn't drink it but it was nice and warm and not overly bitter . The ambiance is really nice and in the am they do brunch and breakfast and close for a bit and then at 5 they start dinner . Really cute place read more

Was looking around for some cute cafes in Williamsburg and we came across this cuz we were thinking about working at the cafe. The interior is very cute, very aesthetic! We tried our the lox toast and the mushroom toast. Seems like they switch up a few things since the mushroom we got looked different than some of the ones we saw on Yelp! The crust of the toast was a little bit more toasted than to my like liking but not bad. I think the mushroom one reminded me of eat pasta in red sauce without the noodles, so perfect if you don't want pasta but still craving red sauce. Came on a Wednesday so not busy at all, but I would imagine it to be busier on a weekend. read more

Food was ok, especially considering the hour and 15 minute wait once we sat down. Pro tip: don't come at 9am, when they open. Plan to arrive well into service unless you don't mind sitting around and drinking. Sadly, the coffee wasn't good enough to drink freely. The brekkie roll was not good. It was dripping in grease. The bacon was barely cooked and had to pick off most of it. And why serve French fries when there's already a hash brown in the sandwich? Would be better if served with fresh fruit or a salad to balance the heaviness of the sandwich. Also way overpriced, especially considering the lack of quality. Coffee was decent. read more

Cute spot in prime Williamsburg area. My friend and I came here for an early dinner on a weeknight. They have a pretty big outdoor set up in addition to the tables and bar seating indoors. We took advantage of the happy hour still going on and both ordered the El Diablo, which was pretty refreshing. For our mains we shared the HITW Caesar salad with added fried chicken and the reginetti with shrimp and spring peas. The salad was a bit soggy, a little too much dressing, but the fried chicken was good. The pasta was better and had a generous serving of shrimp. Service was friendly but could have been a little more attentive.. refilling water, checking in. Overall, we had a positive experience but I wish I'd come to try brunch instead of dinner. read more

Came on the recommendation of a friend. Got the H'oled Fashion which was great. Really liked the little twist to a typical old fashioned. Would've gotten that drink again. My wife got the bees knees which was just ok, it was kinda unexpectedly tart which was surprising given the honey in the drink. Service was a little slow too unfortunately So that combined with a really small menu actually means i'm not sure we'd come back. Feel like I'd be coming just for the one same drink all the time. read more

The food was actually pretty good, but each dish is around 20 dollars and the portions are quite small. There were not as many options to choose from but I felt that it made it easier to decide what we wanted. Not sure if this will be a reoccurring place for us as we left still kinda hungry, however it was enjoyable for the visit. The servers were nice and tried to strike up conversation with the guests, no complaints there. We also almost got charged for a coffee we didn't order, but we made sure to correct the error which they help with right away. read more

I've wanted to try this place for a while after peeking in a few months ago. Finally had the opportunity to stop in for dinner last night. We started with one of their cocktails, El Diablo which was nice and a glass of wine. We ordered two starters and one entree, all to share. We had the Salt & Pepper Squid (calamari), the Crispy Pork (I believe it was pork belly), and the Orecchiette Pasta. All were excellent, however, my fave was the Crispy Pork. We were full. :) Atmosphere and service was very good and the place was clean. Prices were also reasonable and portion sizes were on the generous side. Definitely will go back. :) read more

I do have to say the drinks are pretty phenomenal! The what's the dill was made with pickle and beets, which are two flavors I'd usually steer clear of but it still tasted great. The Brazilian sunrise had a complex mix of flavors but managed to pull it off really well. Sadly, the food left much to be desired, especially for the price. I didn't realize how cold and tough the hanging bacon would be. The sauces tasted to me like slightly worse versions of store-bought bottles of barbecue and hot sauce and spicy mustard. The chili scrambled eggs tasted just like eggs and toast sitting on top of that same hot sauce from before. I'd consider coming back sometime for drinks, but probably not for the food. read more

We had brunch with to some friends on a weekday. It was a sunny day so the restaurant had all the windows and doors open giving a very pleasant environment. I had a flat white coffee with a hot cross bun. I was happy with both. The other members in our group had the waffles and the chicken sandwich. Everyone was happy with their order. They are short staffed as most restaurants seem to be so the service did suffer somewhat. Okay for food this place is 5 stars but service this place doesn't even get 1 star. Our waitress forgot parts of our order, drinks, everything. This place is always super crowded whenever I pass by during weekend brunch hours, but I got lucky with plenty of tables at noon on a Sunday! The Brazilian sunrise ($14) is a tasty twist on a mimosa, highly recommend. The Bloody Mary had a kick the way I like it, but pretty watery. As for food, the pulled pork benedict ($19) is a must-try; the Hollandaise sauce here is some of the best I've had. It's so rich and creamy. The Brekkie roll ($17) was average. read more

I had a great experience here with friends from out of town. We came at around 3 and didn't have a reservation but got seated immediately. Service was really nice and we each got a cocktail and brunch main. The espresso martini was rich and had a cinnamon dusting -- as a coffee lover, I enjoyed it. I also got the "Keep It Classy," a Japanese-inspired Long Island Iced Tea with Japanese whisky, sake, black tea, amaro, lemon, and a hint of mango. I loved this light and refreshing cocktail with a unique sesame seed rim. Onto the brunch items -- I got the chili scrambled eggs and as an egg connoisseur, I fell in love with this. The chili has a great flavor and is nice is spicy. The eggs are fluffy and cooked to perfection with a flattering topping of herbs and spices. Bonus: it's served on a hearty slice of toast with guacamole on the side. So much flavor and texture in every bite. I sampled my friends' brekkie smoothie and it tasted incredibly healthy and fruity. The fries got good reviews at our table and the spring bowl with the corn fritters was unexpected and delicious. With ample indoor and outdoor seating and a pleasant atmosphere, I'd highly recommend this Australian spot. read more

Service was excellent. The food came out with some mistakes which is fine since it was partially corrected. The avocado toast had inconsistencies between my order and my wife's. The staff was very helpful in correcting it. I love this place and love their food! I started my order with an iced coffee and a matcha latte. Both drinks were good. The avocado toast is incredible. It comes with avocado, radish, pea sprouts, and pickled onions. The combination is great and tastes delicious. I ordered a sunny side egg with the avocado toast and the egg was cooked to perfection. Perfectly runny yolk to complete the dish. I also ordered the waffles for desert. It came with macerated berries and whipped mascarpone. Another perfect combination as the whipped mascarpone added lightness and sweetness to the dessert. All in all a great place in a great area. Will definitely be back. It's not noisy so you can hear your companion talk so this is definitely a good place for a coffee and chat.

Nice happy hour and a large chocolate drink selection I was at this unique Guatemalan (ish) restaurant a while back with one of my groups. I said "ish" because the menu has dishes from all over, ranging from sandwiches to BBQ ribs to Guatemalan and Mexican soups. It's out there, and even though not everything works that well, it's fun, and if you can't find something you want to order here, you probably shouldn't go out to restaurants. There was also live jazz music that night, which was loud but nice to listen to. Since it was happy hour, a bunch of us got drinks. I went with a maracuya margarita, which was decent; someone else had a jalapeño margarita, someone had a beer, and someone had a mojito. There were a few nice hot sauces on the table, with the red one reminding me of salsa macha as it had a smoky kick and a spicier green sauce reminiscent of ají verde. They gave us some complimentary blue corn chips and a very mild black bean dip, which was tasty enough and hard to complain about, as it was free. From the appetizers, we got the Hot Figs for $15.95, consisting of honey goat cheese, corn tortilla chips, and plum + pumpkin seeds. This was a unique and fun blend and reminded me more of something you would find in a wine bar. The mix of sweet and salty, with a bit of crunch from the seeds, was nice. This was good, and I would recommend it for a table rather than for a solo diner. There was also The Zingy Salad for $21.95, featuring zucchini spirals, yuzu, tomato, onion, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, and a jalapeño infusion. $18.95. The salad was fine with a bit of crunch and a mild spiciness. It was fine, though a bit wet, for lack of a better word. The best dishes of the night were the soups, which each had its own distinct flavor profile. My sight presence went to the Pepián for $21.95, consisting of chicken, pumpkin/sesame seeds, green tomatillo, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, carrots, chili coban/pasta/guaque, and potato + rice. There was plenty of tender chicken inside, with the soup having a nice roasted flavor with some spice and a bit of sourness. The potatoes and rice on the bottom added more sustenance to this dish. Almost equally delicious was the Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo for a dollar more with shredded chicken, tomato, black pepper, garlic, onions, peas, chickpeas, corn, achiote, chipotle, Monterey jack cheese, and crunchy blue corn tortilla chips. By comparison, this was a bit heartier, with the melted cheese and shredded tortilla chips inside, similar to soups found in Mexican cuisine. While I also liked the mix of veggies a bit more in this one, as it added a bit more texture, I still slightly preferred the flavor of the other soup, as I usually prefer a bit more spice. The rest of the food was fine. The TPC sandwich for $19.95 with chicken, peanut butter, coconut cream, ginger, cilantro, pickled carrots, and lime was fine. For the number of ingredients, I found it a bit sweet, likely from the cream and the peanut butter mix. The bread was nice, but it also fell apart. It came with a nice side salad with a good vinaigrette. The most expensive at $24.95 were the Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs, consisting of baby back ribs with rice and beans. The ribs were almost a bit too tender as they lacked any bite, which was nice, but the sauce was a bit too generic tasting, reminding me of Sweet Baby Ray's or something similar. The rice and beans were standard. This was also OK. Next came some dessert. There was first the $12.95 Rosemary Churros served with dulce de leche & chocolate dips. While I'm not sure if it worked, the rosemary did add a unique smell and a bit of flavor, and at least it wasn't generic. The churros themselves were hot, and the sauces were standard, with my preference being the dulce de leche. I also ordered a Champurrado for $7.95, which was fine. It wasn't as thick as I expected, though perhaps the style is a bit different than the champurrados I rarely buy from Mexican street carts. The chocolate flavor was very nice, though, and I like that it wasn't too sweet. Another person got a $4 Alfajor, which I got a bite of, which was standard. This place is a bit hard to rate. The two soups were wonderful, I liked the appetizers, and I found a couple of the other dishes just OK. Overall, it was a good meal, but I'm not craving to go back. This would be the perfect 3.5, but I'll round up as that doesn't exist.

My friend also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. One of the best oyster HH spots I've come across, because it seems to be harder finding good ones lately. Would definitely come back to try the other seafood dishes.
