Me and my boyfriend checked out Holey Moley on a Saturday night. I feel like this place needs a better reservation system as it almost doesn't make sense to make the reservation, but then have to wait 20 minutes in line before being able to start playing. The decorations and courses are pretty cool and unique but they are rather short. We spent more time waiting for holes than actually playing. Holey Moley is located in the Hijinx Hotel at Irvine Spectrum right by Irvine Improv / Umami Burger / Regal Theater. I highly recommend making reservations before you go because it gets very busy, especially on weekends. You start off by checking in at the little desk, and they give you your scorecard and assign you to the red, yellow, or blue/white course, depending on how many holes you paid for. The staff then gives a coin for each person in the party to put into the gumball vending machines in the next room over for a golf ball. This room is also where you pick your golf club. There's also a large dining area inside with food like burgers, fries, etc. and staff walking around while you mini golf to ask if you want any drinks. All of the courses are very creatively designed, but they are small and tight so it can feel claustrophobic. It also doesn't seem like they cap group sizes, so when I went, there was a group of like 10 people ahead of us and we had to wait until they all finished. Each time you finish a course of 9 holes, you have to ask the staff for another coin for each person in order to get another ball if you want to do another course, even if it's included in your reservation already. Overall a good experience, but it'd be best to go on a weekday if possible. Otherwise it will take much longer than the estimated/allotted time to finish the course(s). read more

Visited Holey Moley for a social work event on a Thursday evening, and it was a lot of fun! I parked in the typical garage for the Irvine Spectrum, and it was a quick walk over to the golf club from there. Shoutout to Vanya for the awesome time! She was friendly and attentive and made the check in and ordering process super easy for us. The decor was bold and fun and the holes for mini golf were super creative. We didn't have to wait for other groups that were in front of us. The drink selection was also really clever. I went with the recommended "Watermelon Twinkle Toes" which came in a cute unicorn container, and did not disappoint. I thought it was a great balance of sweet and refreshing with the carbonation. I finally made it to Holey Moley and honestly... it was such a fun night. This place is pure vibes from the moment you walk in. We went all in and ordered the bathtub drink (because how could you not?) plus the OC Restaurant Week spread -- lemon pepper wings, burger with fries, and churros with ice cream. It was a ton of food and we still ended up taking leftovers home. The wings were the standout savory item for me. Super crispy with tons of flavor from the lemon pepper rub -- the kind where you keep reaching for "just one more." The burger was honestly just okay flavor-wise, but the presentation was ridiculously cute so I'll give it that. Sometimes the aesthetic really does count. But the true showstopper was dessert. The churros were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the center, and dipping them into the ice cream was basically the perfect ending to the meal. And yes... we got the bathtub drink. Was it a little too sweet for me? Sure. Was it adorable and totally worth it? Also yes. Shoutout to our server Demi, who was an absolute queen. We had a party of 8, split up into 2 groups for golf and at first I thought the courses were fairly small for mini golf but also realized that it made the flow of mini golf keep moving. The atmosphere is super cool @ Hijinx & @Holey Moley, the staff is super friendly if we needed anything, we didnt order any food but the drinks were all yummy! Keep your eye out for the speakeasy! The ONLY thing I would change is I wish there were more staff hired specifically for quicker clean up. Some bathrooms needed a bit more attention, and people were leaving their empty glasses on the tables at each hole so we had no where to keep our drinks while we played (first world problem, I know). i came here back in january with a friend for a belated birthday celebration. i believe they had only recently opened at the time, so there was some room for improvement that i hope has gotten better since. the whole experience was pretty fun. i've never been mini golfing before, so i didn't really know what to expect, but the different themed courses gave a lot of variety and different levels of difficulty. we booked a reservation time to avoid waiting too long for an entry. we were given coins to get our designated balls and picked our clubs based on our heights/length, which was nice. a downside was that they didn't really have a limit or structure for how guests/groups navigated the course. there wasn't any staff guiding people to try to spread out the groups. everyone kind of defaulted to going in order, which makes sense, but it caused bottlenecks pretty easily. we ended up waiting 15-20 minutes for holes that only took about 5 minutes between two people. the spaces can feel a little small, especially on weekends when it gets crowded, so it can come off a bit tight or cramped. we had also been told servers would be going around to order drinks while we played, which we found was not the case for us. the food was fine, though a bit pricey for my taste (props to their presentation though). overall, it was entertaining and it wasn't the worst money i've ever spent for a few hours of fun, but it felt like they prioritized the aesthetic/vibe over the overall experience. read more

The brand was created in Australia and has now expanded across the world including multiple locations across the United States. Next to Holey Moley is Hijinx Hotel which has more entertainment such as interactive challenge rooms for groups and more bars. There are three mini golf courses with 9 holes each. It's recommended to make reservations but especially on the weekends because it gets busy. While we played we ordered drinks and they were brought to the golf course for us to enjoy. We ordered the watermelon twinkle toes ($15), hole in one ($13), and rub a dub in the tub ($15) which were all good and came in really unique containers. After we played our holes of golf, we ate at the restaurant. We ordered the brisket loaded fries ($18), shrimp my ride ($16), and a hole lotta meat pizza ($21). The brisket fries were good but on the sweeter side and could've used something spicy or sour like pickled jalapeños or pickled onions. The shrimp was crispy and we really liked the pineapple hot honey dipping sauce. The a hole lotta meat was meaty but I would've preferred if the crust was a little thinner. This is a great place for dates, fun nights out, and even large parties and events such as kids birthday parties. The vibe was lively, fun, and there was a lot to do for everybody. read more

I was about to give this only three stars because of some VERY blasphemous things displayed in one of the holes regarding pineapple on pizza. But after going through all three courses, I think I can let it slide. The first thing I noticed walking in was how colorful and lovely the interior was. It had a retro barcade vibe going on, which made it look really fun. I was very surprised at how many holes they were able to fit inside the place, but I had no problem filling all the holes up with my balls, which were generously provided to me through tokens that I insert into a dispenser. I started off with pink balls but finished the final hole with blue ones. The only thing that really took away from my experience was how crowded it was inside. We had to maneuver our way through the crowds and play the holes out of order because some holes were just backed up. And if we weren't waiting on a group to finish, we felt like we needed to hurry up because a group was waiting on us and we didn't want to hold up the line. Otherwise, the staff were kind and very willing to serve us. They would offer to take our orders and bring us our drinks while we were going through the courses so it was a welcome surprise. I had one slice of pizza and some fries. It was on par with what I expected it to taste like. Decent, but not something I'd go to Holey Moley just to have. read more

Discovered this while visiting the Hijinx Hotel next door. This is a cool and unique miniature golf courses and restaurant combination. When we were here, all the time slots were booked. So we had to make a reservation to come back the next day since we were excited to give this unique place a try. So we booked a slot for the next day for four of us to try. We came back the next day for the 5pm time slot. We checked in at the front counter. Once we were set, they gave us a token to go and get our golf balls and clubs. There are three golf courses, each with 9 holes each. We only tried one of the three golf courses. It was fun, not very challenging in my opinion. But fun none the less. Feels like it was very short. What can you say when each course has only 9 holes. There is also a restaurant inside, but we didn't get a chance to try it. Perhaps next time. read more

I think this place is great if you're young and don't have young kids. I would've loved coming here in my 20s for sure. The staff is incredibly nice and service is great! The facilities are clean and well maintained (for now). It does feel a little bit cramped but I appreciate that they try to control the number of people per course. The courses are interesting, definitely a good place for social media photos! I like that there are a few courses that are a bit different than just putting. My only complaint is that the music is SO loud. That might just age me a bit and I'm fully aware of that. We went on a Saturday morning at opening with my 2 yr old. He loved it, music didn't seem to bother him at all. Because it is a tight space, I do think it's better for ages that are more self aware of their surroundings. We would still come back if it's raining or hot outside, but boomers would probably still be our choice for younger children. I would highly recommend this to anyone teen an up though! read more

Drinks were priced $13 and up. They also had shooter shots starting at $8. They also had a solid food menu. Mini golfing is based on 9, 18 or 27 holes. The 9 holes is about $10-18 dollars per person on the weekends while 18 holes is about $20-28 and 27 holes is $26-36 per person. Such a fun concept and the decor, colors, space is so fun and whimsical! We stopped by to check out the restaurant and bar and watch sports. There was plenty of space at the booths and the high-tops, so that was nice. There was music playing and the tv's showing the game, and lots of people playing mini golf. We ordered the combo appetizer and was told they were out of guac, so they gave us double cheese and the food take at least 30 minutes to come out - that's ridic since its just chips, veggies and two dips. So excited that I got to try this spot! It's been the buzz all over social media. It's located at the end of Irvine Spectrum Center. They offer parking throughout, some parking you have to pay, some are free, and they have valet as well. My friend and I were able to book online through their website. They have different dates and time slots. We did 9 holes and it was $15/person. We came on Wednesday night and it was pretty busy! I can't imagine how busy it gets on weekends. We checked in at the front, but the staff didn't look like they wanted to be there. The aesthetics of this place is super cute. They give you coins so that you can redeem your golf ball through a gum ball machine and they have different length clubs. They have a bar located in the middle and several tables. Once you make your way to the back, they have all the different holes. All of them were super cute and unique. We came here for a company holiday party so this review is based on a large group of 14. Some were a little late and we had to push our tee time back (which is fine) we started off with karaoke instead. Our hostess wasn't necessarily the friendly/patient with our group. There were moments where she made remarks like "had you been there earlier, you could've started earlier" and she even cussed a few times saying "I'm just being a shit, I've been here since 1pm." For the karaoke room, the speakers weren't loud enough, both mic batteries were low, it was a little cold in there. We had food and tbh the food was alright/standard. The shrimp tostada was good, it had a good amount of shrimp but it wasn't too flavorful. The corn elote is a little confusing because the corn is cut so you can't recut into it, so you either have to bite it or try super hard to cut. The tiny tacos were alright, the beef tacos the tortilla was dry and cold. Waffle fries and wings were standard. Both food and drinks took a while to come out and most of the food wasn't hot. When our time was up for karaoke room, we wanted to pack our food up and it felt like our hostess was rushing us. She didn't ask if we needed any boxes or anything prior either. The mini golf was fun, I liked all the ideas. We did 9 holes, it was a little backed up for Friday night which is fine. They should've tried to physically space it out a bit more though. After our company event, some of us decided to go check out the rest of the place. Suite 404 is incredibly designed, love the photobooth idea! Wish it gave real photos though lol. Then we did 30 min of challenge rooms, which was super fun! Overall, the experience would've been a 4/5 had it not been for the first hostess who took care of the big group. It was just interesting to eat it rib style, ala corn strips..as it could be a lil tough from the core still attached. My daughter ordered the margarita pizza ($20) which was basic, but that's what she likes. My sis ordered the hot honey pepperoni pizza ($21) and boy was it deelish! Who knew hot honey paired so well with pepperoni. Not overly sweet w/ a kick of spice was the perfect balance. My dad and I shared The Steak Sammy sandwich ~ a juicy Angus steak w/ Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, arugula and a dollop of horseradish cream, paired with crisscut fries that came in miniature shopping cart. The presentation was beyond cute. I enjoyed my meal with a dirty soda ($8). The perfect combo of Dr. Pepper w/ cream of coconut & lime. Love the concept we had fun playing indoor golf in the fun themed rooms - areas. We came on a Saturday at 3 pm so there were a lot of families.
