Cute spot for people who love hello kitty and drinks! I brought a visitor who loves Hello Kitty to the bow room for cocktail hour. I made a reservation out about 3 weeks in advance to ensure we have a spot. When I got there, there was really only 1 other table, it was pretty empty, but this place is great for large groups, date night, or small groups. They have a bar seating, a bunch of booths, and small tables. We came here for the vibes and were pretty flexible on what to drink, so we asked for the most theatrical drinks. They just launched the winter menu which we realized is exactly the Fall menu but with different titles. If you look at the recipe it's pretty much the same thing. I was honestly pretty disappointed in the recommendation, I got the berry Kawaii and it was definitely not theatric -- it was just a drink with the hello kitty stamp. The overall flavor was okay.. I didn't really taste much of the ingredients, as the strawberry gin was more overwhelming. My favorite drink was the Falling in Love, though this drink is mostly the foam on top. I felt like this one was the best bang for your buck. If you are looking for something to keep, the Picture Perfect is great because you get the polaroid photo as a keepsake. We ended up paying $5 for a picture and it didn't even come with any Hello Kitty frame (definitely not worth it). The other parties got the mocktails which they said was pretty good as well. Overall, fun experience but slightly overpriced. Everyone must order at least 1 drink. Also, when we came in the late evening, a lot of the pastry menu was not available.

Great spot for drinks and desserts while living your Hello Kitty Café dreams. You can find it at the Irvine Spectrum Mall. I had their seasonal fall apple mocktail, but it was a little too sour for me. The desserts were really tasty though. If you're a Hello Kitty fan, definitely come here. It's super cute inside. The staff is a 10/10 and were very informative and accommodating.

Cute hello kitty speakeasy hidden inside the Hello Kitty cafe. The drinks are HK themed and oh so adorable! Pricey though! But the vibes are worth it.

I made reservations to the Afternoon Tea service. The Bow Room is very cute. What you would expect from a Hello Kitty themed venue/cafe. Very on brand. Everything from the ceiling to the bathroom was Hello Kitty themed or pink. Cuteness overload (in a good way). It's pretty expensive being $60 per person. For adults it's more worth it, for kids, not so much. The food itself is just OK. The best tasting items were the quiche, the scones, and the desserts. The tea (summer peach) was good and would make a really good boba drink. Service was great. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Not sure if I'd go again for afternoon tea (with kids), but I'm really curious to try out their Cocktail service next time! Gotta get my girls together for a girls' night out. Reservations are highly recommended. I think you Might get lucky if you're solo or a party of two, but I'd recommend getting reservations especially if you're traveling to visit. I hope they open up a full service restaurant one day as well as a connecting store. That would make it 1000x better.

Came here in a group of 5; be sure to make a reservation and have your IDs ready to be checked at the host stand. The staff were extremely knowledgeable on the menus! My boyfriend and I ordered the strawberry cake and strawberry tart. Both were beautifully presented; the tart had a custard type of filling and while the frosting was thick, it wasn't too sweet. To drink, I had the Picture Perfect (not pictured- fun, light, refreshing) and Tarobly Cute (sweet, nutty). My boyfriend had the Kyoto Old Fashioned (smooth, classic) and the Let's Taco Bout Hello Kitty (smoky, warm). A super cute spot for a girls night out or a date!

Behind the locked doors under the bow in the Hello Kitty Cafe lies a beautiful Hello Kitty themed speakeasy. Aesthetically this is every girly girl's dream! The room is all pink from the floor to the ceiling. It's a dimly lit room with neon lighting accents. The bar in the middle is beautiful. The service was top notch. Our server, Sammie was so professional and treated us so well. She also was extremely knowledgeable too. There were sadly some things that I didn't like as much. I think this spot is very Instagram-able and so photoworthy, but needs improvements in the food and drink department. While I was excited to see they offer 3 mocktails, I had high hopes of ordering a regular drink and just substituting the alcohol for soda water. Sammie told me that at the cafe they run a "tight ship" and that wouldn't be allowed. The first drink I ordered came in the cute hello kitty cup, however, it didn't have a skirt or beads like all the alcoholic ones. It sort of felt like being punished for not drinking alcohol, honestly. Also, it was so sweet and not satisfying. I traded it for the Golden Apple mocktail and again, Sammie was very kind helping me out. This mocktail was lovely - but not really for $17! It was really just juice with a hello kitty logo. I also got the lemon tart and it tasted like toy food. It was hard and dry and I would not recommend it. The chocolate cake however was delicious! I also think there's a really big missed opportunity by not selling any actual food. If you call yourself a cafe, you should at least offer a salad, sandwich, something. If not, then it's a bakery! But seriously, you could have literally any type of food and add the hello kitty logo. That would be so cute! Overall, I spent $40 for 1 alcohol-free drink and a dessert I could barely eat. But, the photos are stinking cute!

Love it here!! Such a cute experience!! Be prepared because it is pricey! 65$ per person and they include the gratuity in bill after...this is only for sweets and tea

The hello Kitty room is such a cute date spot. My boyfriend and I really liked the drink with the hello kitty stencil (forgot the name of the drink). The staff were amazing!! Very friendly and when we asked for recommendations, they were sure to taken into account our likes and dislikes. The vibes are quiet and sort of speakeasyish

Visited The Bow Room for a birthday celebration. It is every Hello Kitty lover's dream! The room is so cute and all pink! Every little detail down to the butter is Hello Kitty. There was also a bar that served the cutest themed drinks. The Bow Room is small which explains why reservations are always full. It is worth the wait! :) We did the afternoon tea service. It was a set menu which included a variety of items and choice of tea. Definitely worth the price for the experience and the amount of food it included. Service was excellent. Everyone was super friendly and frequently checked on our table.

It's Hello Kitty cute in here! This spot inside the Irvine Spectrum, this Hello Kitty-themed speakeasy is an adorable hidden gem!!! The bow-filled decor is playful and insta-perfect, making it a must-visit for HK/Sanrio fans. The interior is cozy yet cutesy. Cocktails are priced between $18 to $22, which is pretty reasonable for the experience. Each drink is thoughtfully crafted and often comes with a cute Hello Kitty twist. Whether you're here for the drinks or the vibes, it's definitely worth checking out! :) be sure to make a resy before hand

We were lucky enough to get in to The Bow Room as walk ins. I have been wanting to go there for a long time. It is very cute and pink inside. The drinks are good, but a little sweet. I picked Falling in love for my first drink because it's served in a Hello Kitty Tiki mug! It was a nice seasonal drink. Bill had the picture perfect. It came with a Polaroid picture of us. My last drink was the Berry Kawaii because it had a picture of Hello Kitty in the foam. So cute! The only reason I wouldn't recommend it to everyone is because I think it is a little pricey, but if you love Hello Kitty like I do, it's a must do...at least once!

Half a bottle of wine for $15 -- good deal!

We came to the Bow Room for a friend's birthday. Very cute place, but I'm unsure if I'll be back! From your reservation start time, you only have 45 minutes until your last call. It almost felt like we had to zoom through our first round to try anything else. We came for a birthday. They don't do anything extra...not a big deal! We got the birthday cake, and for being prepackaged, we really enjoyed it! It was $9, but four of us split it just fine. Cocktails are pricey, around $17-$19. The deals come in with the wine. They serve half bottles of wine for around $14-$16. Definitely get more bang for your buck there. The ambiance is SUPERCUTE as hello kitty would say, and perfectly pink. some of the glassware that the drinks come in (like my photo of the Mint to Be) are to die for. Definitely a place to come at least once!

definitely a must go if you are a hello kitty fan! located in the back of the hello kitty cafe is this "speakeasy" that is reservation only. the decor is so cute, with everything being pink and hello kitty themed. the drinks were good but pricy and not strong. i had the tongue thai'd cocktail and it was yummy, with LOTS of coconut whip. i love that the straw is also a spoon. the berry kawaii was reallly yummy but such a tiny cup. the picture perfect cocktail comes with a polaroid photo, but the drink itself was too sour for my taste. you get an hour and a half to spend inside and the servers come around to let you know about last call. also, they automatically apply an 18% gratuity to the bill. overall a cute experience that I was glad go be able to do but i dont think i will be coming back.

The ambiance alone makes it feel like a whole experience, not just drinks. We tried a few of their specialty cocktails, all super well done, but the real highlight was our server John. He was amazing -- attentive, fun, and clearly knows his drinks. At one point he made us an off-menu cocktail that was STRONG (in the best way) and honestly one of my favorites of the night. And the attention to detail?? He even let me borrow his hat for photos so I could fully commit to the camping aesthetic 10/10 for the vibes. Overall: such a cute, unique spot for a night out. After our party of six chatted over cocktails and preyed on pupus, we moved to a "secret" room tucked in the back of Stowaway and walked into a Belly Of The Beast. The founders and co-owners of Stowaway, Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, created this extension to the tiki bar with a wildly interesting Pinocchio theme and the famed encounter with Monstro the whale all the while serving the same offerings in Stowaway but with also an exclusive limited menu just for this adventure. With its proximity to Disneyland and its Enchanted Tiki Room, with the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture they found a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, tropical trimmings, and nostalgic know-how. How would my belly handle the beastly drinks concocted here!? PURCHASE(S) Gepetto's Last Words ($16.00): Intrigued by the cocktail's name, this elixir was crafted with Fid Street Gin, tangerine, creme de violette, lemon, and cucumber, it was a citrusy refreshing sweet drink that was decorated with bright yellow petals. It was nice, but for whatever reason it just didn't quite hit the spot. [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 4.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($9.00): A decent portion with rings of medium to large sizes, these were hot, dark golden browned, crunchy, and had a slight tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (sweet Maui!) rarely pulled out at times. They were lightly oily while the catsup wasn't needed but used. SERVICE While in Stowaway, we informed our male server to let us know when we were allowed to enter the belly. Once inside and situated, we had the place and bartender to ourselves. After we all perused the menu, we placed our orders, and everything arrived within ten minutes. The rest of the time was spent chatting, picture taking, and our bartender checked in on us also giving a Dole Whip taster. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE "Hidden" inside Stowaway which was located within a strip mall, the entire theme was based on the Pinocchio story, the interlude in time spent inside Monstro, and as we entered it felt like the beginning of the Disneyland "Storybook" ride as you road a canal boat into the mouth and sharp teet of a whale. There were several marionettes (appropriate and non-appropriate) that hung from the ceiling and belly walls, along with other Disneyesque memorabilia, a few sitting booths, and a tiny bar at the end of the roo. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights and table candles glowed. There were no TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL Belly Of The Beast was an adventurous fun evening with friends, it left me feeling childlike with the need to watch "Pinocchio", and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I generally loved all-things Disneyana, and this new wrinkle, albeit probably not approved by the mouse ears brass, caught my fancy. My one drink was tasty but just didn't hit the right spot, the onion rings were very good, the prices were a tad elevated, the atmosphere was awesome, and the service was friendly and professional. They had an extremely limited menu, and there was some doubt whether or not ordering from the Stowaway menu was an option. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $27.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

As for the drinks, I didn't actually drink myself that night but my friends ordered at least 10 drinks (some of them 3 by themselves), and they all said the drinks were pretty good. I mean, the drinks just kept coming. If you like to yap and drink, this would be the place.

They made us feel super comfortable and it was so so fun talking to them. I ordered the nina fresa which is their strawberries & cream drink, and WOW it was delicious! I love a fruity sweet drink and that definitely hit the spot. I ordered two!! I don't remember what my friends got but they were good as well. We also got a creme brulee for a birthday and it was delicious and perfectly caramelized. Overall such a great and memorable experience, and definitely one of my favorite speakeasies I've been to!

Had reservations for a party of four (made via online) and was seated right away. Ambiance is dark and intimate but seating was enough to feel like you had room. Drinks were delicious and strong and service was great and quick. You are limited to eating and drinking within a certain time frame but it's not bad as the servers are on it. Drinks 10/10 and food 10/10. I'm still craving their burger, one of the best ones I have had, I can't even compare it to anywhere else. Bathrooms are located outside of the speakeasy.

Twenty Eight's decor is very elegant and classy but not stuffy. It is very welcoming and comfortable. We arrived early to enjoy a few cocktails before dinner. Our drinks included the Rebel, Do the Hokey Toki and Somm's Old Fashion. The cocktails were a perfect way to start our evening! We had a party of 9 and ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees and sides. My husband and oldest son ordered the Chateaubriand and thoroughly enjoyed it. My middle son and I ordered the salmon, which was perfect as always. Several of our guests ordered the capellini and prime New York strip. Our appetizers: French fries, truffle fries, salmon crudo, Spanish octopus, Black Tiger Shrimp, and of course the famous griddled scallion pao with sambal chili butter (amazing!). Our sides included: garlic fried rice, broccoli and greens, mac and cheese, Brussel sprouts and potato puree. For dessert we ordered the seasonal sorbets: passionfruit and mango - super refreshing! The restaurant surprised my son with a congratulatory dessert for his graduation - totally unexpected and greatly appreciated! He absolutely loved it and it added such a nice touch to our evening! All the cocktails, appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts are absolutely amazing - we loved everything. But, I will say the one thing that is always above and beyond any other restaurant that I visit is the service. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate the wonderful and warm customer service! Our hostesses, bartenders, server and food runners truly give you the best experience possible. Kevin was one of the first to warmly greet us - and of course he made us feel like old friends visiting again. Stacie visited us during dinner to check on us and make sure that we were enjoying our evening. Another amazing dinner at Twenty Eight and one that we will never forget. Thank you to Stacie, Kevin and the entire Twenty Eight staff for making my son's graduation dinner the absolute BEST. We will be back soon! Thank you!

All the food we got was good, but in comparison to visiting my local southeast Asian restaurants and accounting for the price, it was okay and not outstanding. The biggest Stand outs of this meal was the breads; they were incredibly fluffy and decadence and were a crowd favorite amongst my friends. Everything we got was something not worth getting, or something I've had better elsewhere. The service was good, but my main complaint was that because my party was a group of 6, we were given an awkwardly large table in a room that was empty except for out table and a few decor. As a result, our voices echoed and once again, the it was quite awkward for a high end restaurant. I wouldn't really come back here as a treat meal again, nor would I rave it to my friends.
