We walked in the door of Holiday World of Katy with a draft in hand ready to purchase a unit that we saw online at what we thought was a good price. Good being the key because I know everyone must make money to stay in business so I don't negotiate much at all. We go in to see this unit which is surprisingly still in detail being prepped for the lot. We agree to price and we are told that we have to give them a $1000 to detail the unit and secure the deal yet technically the entire deal is a cash/OSF deal because we had the draft in hand. Sheldon in finance tells us that as soon as they get their money they will hand us our $1000 back which will be accomplished by the time we pick up our unit. Us getting this $1000 happened a month after we took delivery and only because I called and spoke to his boss. This was all being done on Friday afternoon with pickup of the unit scheduled for the next Wednesday. Monday I get a phone call from the sales rep stating that the unit had not been put into service for inspection yet so the delivery was going to be delayed by a day. This irritated me due to the fact that they had assured us that everything was in perfect working order on the unit being that its checks had already been done. At this point they had our grand which was non refundable if we backed out and they were doing as they pleased. On the inspection the only thing they found was that the awning had a few holes in it from age. At delivery the "delivery specialist" (low end mechanic) is doing the walk around showing me the important things to look at on my new trailer tries to quickly go past the propane regulator that sounds like it is trying to explode so I make him change it on the spot. He also tells me that it is perfectly normal for the 30amp breaker to trip while running the A/C and using the hot water heater at the same time so during the summer we can only use gas to heat our water for showers and not the electric side of the unit. He states that during the winter when the A/C is not in use that it would be OK to keep the hot water heater in electric mode. Later do I find that this is complete BS. My assumption at DELIVERY was that this was obviously a well taken care of trailer so to my amazement after having it a week I find extensive water damage on the rear roof and over the bunk house slide. The only reason I found this issue was because the trim flew off of the trailer going down the road and hit another car so while on the roof re securing it I found the "soft" spots in the roof. Me being the person that I am didn't call Holiday world to complain because I know that I should have been way more diligent in inspecting anything before taking delivery so that problem I am eating myself. During use of this trailer the first night that it rains my wife gets drenched in her sleep due to a water leak right over the master bed. By this time I am completely convinced that this trailer was NOT inspected like I was told it was and probably like none of the used units on this lot are. In November I went out to my trailer to fire up the heater and get it loaded up for a weekend excursion and guess what.... Yeah the heater didn't work like AT ALL. This was the final straw and I immediately called and asked for the GM at which time I was re-directed to the service manager who after I explained my situation to said he would call me back shortly. A few hours later Lonnie Walker (Service ADVISOR) calls me and tells me she was told to call and let me know to take it to a service shop and have it diagnosed and that they were paying for the diagnosis not matter what the problem ended up being. I finally got a shop to get it in the first week of December and after they looked at it they tell me that the control board is bad and by the looks of the gas valve and the burners that it looks like it has never been tested or used for all that goes. I pay the $574.42 to get this fixed and fax the bill to Lonnie who says she is submitting it for payment. Well I am writing this review because it has been over a month and guess what. THE REIMBURSEMENT has never showed up. Not even money for diagnosis. This is a disgrace being that I have only asked for the HEATER to be fixed and not the rest of the water damage crap throughout the trailer. THESE PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AFTER THE SALE. read more

We recently purchased an RV from Holiday World of Katy and I am so impressed with the quality of all the amazing people we have had the pleasure to work with that each one deserves recognition. The level of professionalism and knowledge of product from each person and "the after the sale service" from everyone we have encountered most certainly makes this business stand out and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an RV but I will also buy from them again if I ever want to change out our recent purchase. Darrell Joyce, our salesman, has been so wonderful!! We were brand new to RVing and this was going to be our first time purchase. He walked us through RV options with years of experience behind him to help us make the right decision for us. He also has been incredible and so extremely helpful in his assistance after the purchase to make sure we understand even more about our new coach with a goal to ensure we become confident in all areas of motor home ownership. I am very very thankful to him for all his time, patience, assistance and knowledge and I feel sure I wouldn't have been this happy anywhere else! Joshua Moore, our financial manager, is another impressive staff member at HW of Katy. He too will do all he can to find the best rates in all areas to ensure you end up with the best deal in the end. He is easy to work with, great sense of humor, is patient to answer any question and explains the details very well. He too is another assist to Holiday World of Katy. Our positive experience continued with an employee in the parts department. Edward is also very knowledgeable and can help you get the supplies needed without trying to sell you unnecessary items. He also helped us understand all the differences In towing a vehicle and what will be needed for that. This information was very valuable as we still needed to find a good towable for our RV adventures. Candice is the coordinator that makes sure everything is as it should be and that you are happy with the RV product when you take possession of it for the first time. It is evident that she takes her job very seriously (but also has such a pleasant and friendly demeanor) because no detail was overlooked. Everything was perfect and she made sure of it. Eric was the service technician that walked us through several hours of explanations and descriptions of everything on and about our new RV (thank you Darryl for providing this for us). He took the time to walk us through every part, both inside and outside, in as much detail as we wanted or needed of the RV so that we gained some understanding before we ever drove off the lot. That kind of time and amount of information provided was so incredibly helpful and saved us from countless hours of confusion later. Finally, I am so impressed with Holiday World of Katy, their RVs, their employees, their customer service, and their work ethic are second to none! It's the only place I would recommend and it's the only place I will go to again if I ever want to change our RV. Where do I start. When a consumer comes to a business to buy something that may change the quality of there life for the better, saves for many years to buy that item and gets the service after the sale that Holiday World has to offer is reprehensible at best. The last go around was today 10/20/2018 and I received a tongue lashing from the service man in Katy (Luis) , nice guy and probably did not deserve what I gave him but I am the customer and I AM RIGHT (sorry you all drove me to be a maniac). Yea, I guess that is what I deserved for spending my money there. This is me being condescending. To whom ever takes reviews serious, go spend your money somewhere else , there service is horrible, horrendous, ludicrous, need to get to my thesaurus for some other adjectives. There are some bright spots bit will defer until I get my trailer back. I have lost all trust and confidence . By the way the trailer is only 6 months old. Lastly, shame on you Michael Peay (Owner) for your employees protecting you like you are the President Of The United States, and NO ONE IS ABLE TO CONTACT you OR EMAIL YOU. You are not that big Sir and no better than me or any of the other customers that provides you with a good life. I think though you should know what some , (probably not all) of your customers are enduring. Right now giving this company 1 star is a complete stretch. I wrote the review above a few weeks ago as a very upset customer. I have never in my life been a big write a review type of guy. I was tough on them when I wrote the review as well as I felt I was not getting the service I should have been getting. They (Holiday World) even agreed. Lets now give credit where credit is due! They have totally redeemed themselves and have a new 5 star rating. The gang over there fixed all defects in my new trailer and any mistakes they made. That's all we can ask for as a consumer knowing it is NOT a perfect world and mistakes are made, just fix them in a timely , efficient manor and get the customer happy. They have done that to my expectations and I applaud them for that. I would like to point out Doug the Service Mgr. . Wonderful man. As big a man as he is ,he is that patient, calm, cool and was willing to listen. He is an asset to this company and is trying to make his service dept. more efficient. Plus he is a Middle East Army War Hero so there is a soft spot in my heart for him already. Andy (Assistant Service Mgr.) and Tina ( Customer Relations Gal) also stayed with Tammy and I , until we were happy. They are also true assets to Holiday World. Long review ahead. My boyfriend and I were looking into purchasing a camper back in August. We originally went to Holiday World of Katy and met William Campbell, our salesman. He was wonderful, but unfortunately, we could not come to an agreement on the price of the camper (we were looking at a Montana High Country). Before we left, William asked what we were going to end up going with. We told him a Forest River Sierra. Without telling us what to do or forcing anything on us at all, he spoke to us as if we were friends of his and basically said that they were of lesser quality than the Montana High Countrys. Holiday World of Katy does not even sell Forest River because of this. We ended up taking our business down the road to Camping World. Worst decision ever. We bought our camper with them and experienced horrible customer service. We ended up getting our camper over two weeks after placing a down payment due to their negligence. In the meantime, William still did everything that he could to help us and earn our business, but not to the point where I got annoyed by it. He sent me links to other Montana High Countrys that were similar to what we were looking at, but at a cheaper price. He even went as far to send a video of himself apologizing that it did not work out and that if he could be of any more assistance, to please reach out to him. All around FANTASTIC man. Fast forward not even a month. Our camper gets flooded out by Tropical Storm Imelda and is declared totaled. We IMMEDIATELY knew that a) we did NOT want to go back to Camping World, and b) that we DEFINITELY wanted William to be our salesperson. There was no question about it. Today, we are in our new Montana High Country, our original number one choice. The process was smooth and easy. William took care of everything for us that he possibly could. We live 2 hours away and he was determined to make it as easy as possible on us. Joshua Moore was our finance guy and he had us rolling the entire time. Hilarious, genuine guy who helped us with everything that we needed finance wise. William has been helping us even after we left the lot with our camper. Any issues we had setting up or over the next few days, he was just a phone call away. Amazing customer service and such a sincere, sweet, down-to-earth man who will go above and beyond to help his customers. I cannot brag on or recommend this location enough. I bought a Montana big sky from this place and I came to a demo with the salesman Justin Wainwright. We spoke really didn't test anything. He told me a bunch of stuff and how to do certain things. Then one of the maintenance people I don't rememberers name put water to the unit. Then a massive leak occurred. It took them all day and some of the next day to "fix" it. Mind you I had a driver coming the day they "fixed it" to pick it up. Then I came back when they said they "fixed it" put water to it again and another leak, mind you this is the condition that they wanted me to take it in. So now I have the unit and have had nothing but issues leaks. I feel lied too by the salesman and deceived but hey go figure because that's what salesman do they lie so they can get the sale. Now I'm paying a lot of money to something that has cost my more money and frustration then what it should be. To sell anything in such bad conditions goes to show just how bad the service is at holiday world of Katy. After this I will not be doing or giving them more business again because they are not worth it. However I will say the maintenance people are good but that's about it as far as good because they did work hard to fix it but again I'm still having problems. Garret is a great person with lots of knowledge so if he says it then trust in what he says he is awesome he made my experience better because of him. So don't go here they are not worth the time of day or a single penny. Don't make the same mistake I did because now there's nothing I can do but poor more and more money and time into something that should've already been fixed. Also I spent 2,000 dollars to get new slide covers and one it loose and they are saying I need to bring it in or spend more money to have a mobile tech to fix it. Such negligence and such a hassle don't do business with them you'll just be disappointed. read more

So I had researched RV's and found the model & floorplan I really wanted on RVTrader. Unfortunate for me, the few I found were across the country, the closest being in Houston, TX at Holiday World of Katy almost 1,100 miles away. I was very reluctant to buy remote, fly out and drive my purchase home as that process could be loaded with issues especially because this was my FIRST RV purchase. But entrust I did and I'm thrilled to report working with Holiday World turned out to be a wise decision. I must give a BIG SHOUTOUT to Steve Sellers and John Harris of the sales team. They handled me very professionally with constant and clear communication, by promptly sending documents I requested, offering spot-on advice of RV essentials & services I'd need, helping with travel logistics (including driving me to return a rental car) , mailing a requested brochure to my home, ensuring the purchase paperwork was correct and all details were handled, great review of the coach systems & features, super helpful test drive and being ready with everything upon my arrival .... generally making sure my plane trip to Houston & overall time wasn't wasted & the purchase was FLAWLESS! Also something pretty rare these days, both John and Steve followed up after sale with me on my 3 day drive back to SC and helped with a minor battery issue. Just Wow, Awesome! Hello All, HOLIDAY WORLD DOES NOT HONOR THEIR SALES PRICE ON OUR CONTRACT. Just wanted to give a heads-ups to everyone and those you might know who are looking to order an RV. We ordered a 5er from Holiday World at the end of March 2021. We waited 4 months with the excitement growing every day. NOT one time during the 4 month wait did anyone at Holiday World call us with an update of any kind proactively. Then I got word my unit would be delivered the last part of July. A few days before we were scheduled to pick it up I got my first proactive call from Holiday World. Unfortunately it was call from the sales manager telling me that the price was going to be raised regardless of the contract we had about $10,000! No calls for 4 months and then this. I asked to speak with a supervisor who gave me the same song and dance, pay $10,000 more than we agreed to or we will refund your deposit and you can get lost. I asked to speak to another level up the food chain and after a few days the OWNER called. He agreed we had a contract but basically said take it or leave it. HE didn't care. Buy it or take a hike. We were over a barrel, having sold our house and needing to move into our 5er (or live with my kids). We felt we had no good choice and moved forward with the purchase. We did take a whole weekend and tried to find a comparable 5er just to walk away but none were available. BOTTOM LINE ~ DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HOLIDAY WORLD!! read more

Absolutely the best decision of my life!!!!! I love my new RV and I could not have asked for a better buying experience! My sales rep, Vicki Hayes, is absolutely the very best!!! I saw a different rig on the Willis website and she met me and my daughter and SIL out there to see if that was a floor plan I would like. Of course as soon as she went in she knew it was a bust. I'm disabled and can't climb the stairs and she already knew what I liked and didn't based on what she had shown me and all the feedback I had already given her. She is very intuitive and listens to what her customers say. But she insisted on helping me in there so I could see for myself and YES!!! It was a bust!!! So thank goodness she brought the paperwork for the one I absolutely LOVED and she wrote up the contract and called to to take it out of inventory and I signed for it and she got the ball rolling! That was the only one on the lot and I would have been devastated if someone else got it because of my disability. It is perfect for me and she knew it but she went out of her way to make sure I was making the right decision. Vicki is the best above all!!!!! I can't say this enough y'all...Vicki listens, she see's, she hears, and she helps you with what you need. In mu case I am living in my RV and she got me fixed up with the perfect home. We recently purchased a 2019 (used) Grand Design 372 WB. Our initial sales contact was with Gina Goldberg. This was her second day as a sales person with Holiday World of Katy. Gina was quite professional and most helpful with answering my unit specific questions and obliged by taking many interior and exterior photos to help us make our final decision. Gina was assisted by Steve Sellers, a very fine salesman himself. I was able to negotiate with the VP of Sales, Kevin Hoffpower through Steve Sellers and we arrived at a number that fit my wife and me. Steve gave us our first look and walk-thru of our RV. Other people that have assisted us in this sale: Dakota from Service Dept. He conducted our familiarization tour of this RV. Dakota did a very fine job of answering all my questions and of making me aware of all the attributes of this RV. Moshe Amir did an excellent job completing the purchase paperwork and was quite entertaining in the process. Joshua Moore of Finance was quite helpful as well. Jaqurulin was quite professional with her responsibilities organizing our inspection, insuring our documents were complete and being quite entertaining, as well. Want to put a Zero star rating but can't give below 1 star. Bought a 100k + 5th wheel that was custom built. They receive it in March 2021 but can't release it because it was still being serviced. We signed the contract on the 20th of March expecting to get the trailer but they said it was not ready yet because they are waiting on parts for the on demand hot water heater. So we said fine, then they called and told us we could pick it up April 20 2021. So we went to get it and it wasn't even cleaned. We took it anyway so we could use it to find out other things were missing or not working. They didn't even put tags on it and we didn't notice. So we called a hundred times to get it resolved with no answer until finally I demanded a manager. They get that resolved but said please make a list of everything that is wrong and at your 60 day warranty bring back we will get it done. We'll guess what we finally got our on demand hot water heater put in but the trailer is still there ove 2 1/2 months now and can't get a call back from them. We have tried all week for someone to call us but with no avail. If you are going to get an rv please don't get it from here. There service sucks and their customer service is horrible. read more

What can be said about an upstanding gentlemen. Our sales representative, Steve Lankford is measured far above any purchase we've made in over 40 years of buying vehicles. I highly recommend Steve, not because of the type of work that he does but because of his character. So we finally did our thing today after hours and hours of looking, comparing, and pricing. And to put it into perspective for all of you doing, or about to do the same, we ended up with one that I never even considered, never viewed virtually, and priced a little higher than we originally planned on going for. It's a 2019 Avalanche 376RD by Keystone. We bought it at Holiday World in Katy Tx and our sales guy was William Campbell, and he. was. awesome!! He was very knowledgeable about the brands, the mechanics, the functionality, etc., and not just "sales" knowledge. I would let him sell me a gold plated unicycle, my home in a late night auction, or my left kidney on the black market, so to say I recommend him is an understatement, and impressing me is not easy. Tom Marino took care of us in the finance department, and Stephen and Jacqueline saw we made it out the door with all of the information we would need before leaving with our RV. First off, My salesman Rico was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and helped me find a unit that was a better fit for my situation at a lower cost that what I had in mind. Second, Moshé took care of the financial side. The process was easy and flawless and I was in within a day signing my final purchase agreement. Lastly and most important. Fred, my technician. Very, very nice and understanding that this was my first unit. The walkthrough was full of information but he made it fun which helped me remember everything he said. He also made sure I had his card in case I forgot anything. He didn't try to oversell me on my starter kit and explained I could always upgrade if I needed to. In the middle of all of this I had to leave to pick up my son. He was very patient with me and stayed late to ensure I was all setup and was comfortable with being on my own. my experience was quick and painless which is very important since this was basically me purchasing a home. I will return to Holiday World whenever I am ready to upgrade to a bigger unit. read more

We bought an Rv Class A from here and our Salesman Darrell Joyce was knowledgeable and worked very hard to find the coach we wanted and needed. I call him and he always gets back to me and attends to what we need when we come in for service. The finance department's Mr. Moshe Amir also worked very hard to get the deal we wanted. These two I trust. This rating is on a purchase only. Bethany Keller is a service rep. She is a very knowledgeable caring person who listens and works hard trying to find out or figure out what is wrong with your coach. Rob and Bob Hanawacker are also service people. They will bend over backwards trying to fix and make the customer happy. As for the rest of the service department, well, I would have to begin with new people. Many of them do a job half way or not at all and they take way too long to get the job completed. Makes it hard when you use your coach for business and it is payed up more than 5 months a year! John Harris! You are amazing. John had a Super C motorhome cooling down on the lot when we met him. He answered all of our questions about the Super C motorhome as if it were his own product. We never felt pressured or awkward, and let me tell you, if you have never shopped for a motorhome, you want to be relaxed, because not only is the motorhome itself giant, but it's a sizable purchase and John had made us feel comfortable and confident that we were making the best choice with the most knowledge. We made the drive from Harper Texas to Katy and the construction zones on IH 10 are dreadful, we were zonked, 3 dogs, a cargo trailer and 100 degree Texas temps at 3pm in the afternoon. It was so wonderful and worth it. Holiday World of Katy and the people we met during our visit were fantastic. My wife and I have been contemplating buying an RV for a few years but never followed through due to my unease of pulling a trailer. We almost were talked into buying one last year from 'another' competitor dealer who kept upselling us. This year we decided to pull the trigger but go on the other side of I45 at Holiday World. We started looking around the large number of trailers then salesman Danny introduced himself to us and showed us the trailers. Danny never tried to place me in a trailer above my comfort zone. Being a RV'er Danny had great knowledge of the trailers and my wife and I settled on a Grand Design Imagine 21BHE. We pick it up next week and are looking forward to many years of camping without a tent. My experience as far as the buying process at Holiday World was excellent. We had an awesome experience purchasing our Little Guy Tab CS-S here last weekend! My husband and I had been looking at these Little Guys for awhile and they are hard to come by because they are so popular. We called Lowell earlier in the week to let him know what we were looking for and a day or two later got a call from him that they just got one in and it wasn't even off the truck yet. He and Jeremy from financing stayed late on a Friday night to make sure we had all the paperwork filled out and were happy and comfortable with the pricing we agreed on. We went back on Saturday to pick our Little Guy up and to dot the I's and cross the T's. I can't say enough good things about these two men. They were very easy to work with and not pushy. I was introduce to Justin W. and he ensured I got all the info I needed to make an educated decision. Justin was very knowledgeable and worked diligently for us.
