They stated the next step was to replace the engine with a used on. And if the engine was valued more than the car...then it would be totaled. He not only did not tell the inspector? He knew when he gave me my keys it was not safe to drive......he keeps avoiding my calls....... When I dis speak with him , he said he was deaf in one ear...and couldn't remember any of our conversations.. Do you want to take your car to this guy? The insurance company told me he hold liability for letting me leave in a unsafe car.. To repair the belt it was $200 more than the dealer. The second visit there, car sat for 2 weeks before they even touched the vehicle. They insist you pay for an each diagnostic which is $120. I paid to have it towed there, reinstate insurance. Took out of storage. Plus car payment. Paid $443.92 for the power steering hose line. Had them put Billstein shocks $566.36 on rear, for our vehicle to sway to the left. Emptied things out of vehicle. For a total $1327.43 During this vehicle our lug nuts were removed they replaced them with rusted lug nuts. Bob stated there was a funeral, Tyler mom Michelle said oh when a cop car comes in they take president. In July after having brakes placed on, the brakes squealed, they said it takes time for the adjustment period. A family mechanic said you need to take it back. Took it in they quoted 6/4 charged us to look at their work. & sprayed oil it, wanted $120 but my husband went in they charged him only $60. The vehicle only had 3,799 Miles on it. Took vehicle to an honest reputable mechanic Kincaid's they said they can warranty out their work I would just need to pay the labor. Once I took the Van in a 3 rd time for repair our brakes squealed Metal on metal. Scheduled appt for Monday came & went. Tuesday Morning I called and asked what time it will be ready. Later today Melissa stated. I asked her what time. She hung up on me. I gave her 30 minutes I called back again. She said I have to order the parts. I was extremely upset. She said we need you to sign the form. I told her that was signed last night I told her it would've been nice if she stated the yesterday at 8am when I dropped off vehicle. I said you should've told me you never ordered the parts then it switched to they needed to deal with Chris from Auto Zone the warranty department they were waiting for parts. I told them. I will call AZ. They flipped out once I told them I want to know what the hold up is and I would be calling them. Michele said "we don't have to do anything, we are doing you a favor! She said who drives there car only 3799 miles in a year. Your vehicle sat for 9 months. Correction if you want to debate the time our van was in storage was from Thanksgiving up to April once I had vehicle towed to your place. We live 2.9 miles from employer. Don't promise a vehicle and not deliver! Brakes are only 1.5 job At this point I ran up there picked up my vehicle 5 minutes later they said they had the part. I sat in another lot. Watched them take the van in. Meanwhile a Jeep pulls into the garage right off the street. Moral of the story. If it's the owners buddy that's what's important to them. The supposed warrantied out parts sound the exact same as when I dropped the van off. They still grind. Michelle said there's nothing we can do. After paying them another $180 later. Bob is the best thing about this shop. Mother loves to scream and say ma'am. They can't fix a simple brakes. Skip this place go to Kincaids or 20th Street Dan & Mel.

Rusty's has always been upfront and honest on if any repairs are needed and what prices they would charge for parts. They are very kind when getting the job done and have never steered me wrong. My parents and grandparents have all been going to them since they first opened and I have even switched our fleet vehicles to them for service because they are a fairly priced and trustworthy company. I have even had a time where a mechanic accidentally backed my car into a hitch on someone else's bumper and they called me right away to notify me and let me know that they would replace the bumper. My vehicle was done within two days, and the bumper was brand new and no issues. They have always been a great company to deal with and are upfront with everything, speaking on this review from not only myself but three generations of my families' views on their company. If you are on a timeframe to make sure you get your vehicle back in time, they are always making sure they can work with you and keep you informed. Their customer service is outstanding and are always looking to go the extra mile.

Nope wasn't done , but I paid for it! Thx Rusty Missing bolts , transmission seal still leaking! They just replaced GOOD Riddance!!

Previously I had them repair our two vehicles from hail damage. Went here to get an estimate of damage prior to contacting my insurance company, as I knew they would send me here anyway. (My insurance company uses Autobody USA as a preferred repair facility.) Met with Ted Otten, he wrote up an estimate of damage. I was in and out in ten minutes or so. Contacted my insurance provider and was told to make arrangements with Autobody USA - Southside for the repairs appointment. I called Debi and made arrangements to drop my car off the day before. I dropped the vehicle off and ran some errands with my wife. Only a few hours later Debi called me to tell me my vehicle was finished. I could pick it up later when ever it was convenient! We drove back to find my vehicle was indeed ready, plus it had been washed, vacuumed out and waiting for me! How about that for service!!!? Now that does not mean your vehicle will be ready a full day ahead of schedule, but, that is they way they do business! Should it become necessary for me or anyone I know to need auto body repairs. I will be sending them here! You cannot go wrong with Autobody USA - Southside. We setup to return it to be fixed, when we got it back a few days later the manager wanted to argue that the paint can happen and that was the best they could do. How about doing it right the first time and not giving us a BS line about what we may or may not know about paint and clearcoat. Such bad customer service to try to make the customer feel stupid instead of realizing that the job wasn't done well and to try to find a way to fix it. This is what is wrong with Customer service and why people get tired of dealing with this crap. I would NEVER again recommend Southside to ANYONE.

I just purchased a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas on May16, 2026 from a dealership in Nunica, MI after…read moredriving it home back to Kalamazoo I noticed fluid leaking I thought it was from the radiator because the fluid was clear, 10 days later the check engine light came on saying check my oil level during these ten days I started hearing the brakes squeal. On May 21, 2026, I called Master Mechanics because they specialize in Volkswagen and other European vehicles. They couldn't get it in that day I had to wait until May 27, 2026, because they were booked up and Memorial Day was coming on May 26, 2026, that's when the check engine light came on. I paid 39.95 for them to check out my oil leak issue and I paid 39.95 for them to check out why my brakes was squealing when braking. Well, they said my brakes look fine and that the noise was coming come the belt tensioner. After leaving the shop my brakes were still squealing here and there by the time I get almost home the brakes are squealing more. Well, I had to go into the hospital for a procedure on my heart in two days. I said I will deal with this after my procedure and so I did I called them back and was told to bring it in for a recheck, well the mechanic comes to me outside where I was seating saying it's your brake pads and asks me to get in the vehicle with him while drives so I can show him what I hear while driving so off we go, he says to me I wasn't the mechanic who worked on your vehicle the first time I tell him that the other mechanics said the brakes were fine, so he hears what I was telling him about the brakes squeal noise he says yeah it's definitely your brake pads so we get back to the shop he says to me let me check it out some more so we don't have any more misdiagnose- miscommunications so he takes the vehicle out again with another mechanic in the vehicle with him they get back pull it in the garage, finally he brings the vehicle out and park it I walk over to him, so he's saying he wrote some notes and the men at the counter will be with me shortly eventually I get up to the counter and they guy at the counter says we looked back from when you first brought your vehicle in and we couldn't see the brakes! But it looks like the dealership changed the brake pads but used cheaper ones but yeah it's your brakes pad and we need to scuff your rotors, so I'm livid but I can't afford to get upset or stressed because of my heart failure so know he says and yeah you got another leak going on in the housing area around the oil filter, I paid 493.00 for the belt tensioner that had nothing to do with the squealing noise coming from the brakes because I googled this after I started hearing the squealing noise come back, the fact that I was told they couldn't see my brake issue the first time is insane when they specialize in my brand of vehicle!! I want a refund for that belt tensioner, my trust is out the door with this establishment, not to mention I brought my land rover to them back in the summer of 2024 about some issues I was having with it at that time they were informative and said I needed a new engine and they didn't want to put work into it and charge me for anything because the engine was failing already, which I kind of figured that because my timing chain was making a loud noise at the time. This experience was very irritating; they didn't offer any compensation on their lack concerning my brakes and charging me for something that was not the issue. This is not professionalism at all.
