I'm so and so.. and took my hand out to just shake his hand but he quickly came over to give me a big platonic hug lols That's the very cool vibes this place is and I always highly recommend everyone to get all your stuff done here. July 2023: My friend 1st referred me to Ogden's Cleaners, as she's been a customer for years! Friendly (Hi, Eddie!), professional, and as of today, I'm super happy with my alterations! Yay! Even better, I was told to pick up one of my dresses up at a later date, as they found & needed to do a few more alterations! I'm grateful that they pay attention to detail as well! Score! Nearby: A variety of restaurants on the top & ground floor, including one of my favorites!(Thai!) Also, across the street from even more restaurants, stores and businesses, including a hotel & bank! That Lady and I were displaced by the Palisades Fire. Well madame's wardrobe got a little smoke so she had to find a new cleaner's since all of her local cleaners were also impacted by said fire. Well we landed in Marina Del Rey and she bumped to a few lady friends, also fire refugees and they engaged in some "girl talk" as in Neal Hefti's song. Lo and behold, there was an Ogden Cleaner's just around the corner. She gave them a try and Shazam she had a new trusted care taker of the royal robes, as it were. Anyway, these folks are good, fast and the owner/operator is very nice chap with a great sense of humor. Plus they do shoes, alterations and simple fluff and fold. Took a suit to be altered for my son. The guy seemed annoyed to do measurements. When I went to pick it up he gave me the jacket and someone else's shirt. No pants. After he found the pants they were way too short. He attempted to let them out, but had cut too much off the length of the pants. Suit was ruined. read more

STAY AWAY ! The guy lied to me. I told him all my cloth needs to be washed in DELICATE he tells me yes we have that. I said perfect. Couple days later I pick up. My wife's favorite coat had been shrunk and the inside had been ripped up. I went back to tell him he said oh well we only had medium or hard on the machine ... I told me wait your telling me you don't have DELICATE to which he says well only medium or hard. They refused to pay for my wife Coat. This dude is just a scum and only looks to take your money. DO NOT GO HERE! They will not do your laundry over the week end. I was informed by a small latin woman that they do not turn on the machines over the week end. So much for anyone that needs laundry done for work. They used to do it and they had helpful people. This place is not with the trip. Fortunately there are other cleaners in the area that will do your laundry and let you have it on Sunday. We forgot to take our clothes to the cleaners on time so we went to 3 different cleaners who turned us away because we needed our clothes the next day. A tuxedo & a dress. This place said they can do it but it would be ready by 2pm. Which was fine & they charged us a bigger fee again totally fine. My husband got there at 2pm & when he walked in he saw our clothes in the same place as yesterday. Our clothes was not ready!!!! He waited there till it was. One hour later we had our clothes. Cleaners is very good and there's a very consistent presence there that's reliable and open when you need them which is seven days a week. You can ask them to rush things or you can give them a time to get the job right and their service is always consistent, they honor coupons from other places which is really great. I have been patronizing Ogden's since they opened several years ago. That space used to be a Fast Frame location. I liked the black plastic hangers they used to provide, but they went back to wire hangers. They have free water and dog treats, but need to repair the fridge for the water. They offer tailoring services as well as shoe repair and I had two pairs of sneakers repaired there as well. This is a family owned business and they are very hard working people. When I've had a cleaning issue they gladly took ownership and solved the problem at no-charge. Ogden's offers a reliable service at a fairly reasonable price which comes with living in the Marina/Venice area. I do think all cleaners should clearly post prices which none do or at least be required to provide a menu of prices for services rendered. read more

After living in the area for almost 5 years and trying practically every cleaners in MDR, PDR, Venice, Del Rey, and Westchester, I really need to correct my original review from 2011. In it, I wrote, "With a coupon, Odgen Cleaners is great." The reality is that I should of just said, "Ogden Cleaners is great." cause with or without a coupon it really is the best dry cleaners I've tried. Of course, having a coupon is still smart and recommended, but even without I one, I bite the bullet and bring my shirts and dry cleaning here. My advice is to go to Ralphs, buy something, keep the receipt, check the back for an Ogden's coupon, and then use it. Ogden's Cleaners still isn't cheap, but it's better. Here's why: * Customer service is top notch - I'm greeted by name - They seem to remember EVERYTHING - Called/texted the only time the clothes were a few hours late - They even help carry big orders to the car * My clothes are cleaner, crisper, and handled with more care at Ogden's * Ogden's actually gets stains out. * The hangers are a nice upgrade from your typical wire throw-aways * The coupons do help and I appreciate they have them * Open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Even though there are cheaper options (with coupons) with "almost" the same quality nearby, we are now an official Ogden's family. I had a very positive experience at Ogden this week. The man who helped me, Ken, said he wasn't sure he could get a stain out, but he did! It was a dog vomit stain on my white couch. I have been an active customer at Ogden cleaners in Marina Delray for five years now. I find that the services are reasonably priced and that the staff members are efficient and friendly (despite the hot conditions behind the counter). An extra bonus at Ogden's is a very skilled and kind man who is an excellent tailor. MR. NAM has done many alterations for me. (And I am a stickler for work that is exact). Ken has really saved my behind twice! Once, when I needed an outfit steamed for a formal event in under 3 hours, he was able to accomodate me and I picked up my dress on the way to the event! Super expensive. Almost $5 for a shirt and $9 for pants. They don't advertise their prices, and it's probably because they are exorbitant. I've asked a few times how much it costs for shirts, and they say it depends on how they're cleaned. It's always ALWAYS the more expensive way. I've also come in many times with coupons that you can easily find online, and for one reason or another, they always forget to apply them. It's always: "oh, I'll get you next time." But it's so obvious what they're trying to do. I do think they're really really nice. But I also think that niceness is a front to shady business practices. No thanks. read more

Flying on a business trip to LA last month, I had a clothing accident, I searched looked across the street from my hotel and found this business, within a 2 min walk of the Marriott Marina Del Rey I drove at 5 am and they were open for business! This is the earliest of any cleaners opening in NYC or LA that I have ever came across The gentleman behind the counter was very professional, efficient and met my promise time of 2 pm so I could make my business dinner in proper attire. Prices are above average but the quality of their hangers is the best I have ever experienced along with the thickness of their plastic clothes covers. I've always been a fan of Ogden Cleaners but I recently thought that was about to end. I got a voicemail saying I had left some items behind. I just moved out of California and completely forgot I had a few dresses and a cashmere blanket that I had not picked up months ago. I called yesterday and to my horror learned that the previous owner (ownership changed in the last month) had donated my blanket but not the clothes. This blanket was my late mother's and was sentimental to me. Jen, the new owner, said she would reach out to the previous owner and see what she could do. I appreciated the offer but felt very frustrated and upset that the blanket had been given away. Jen to the rescue! She called me this afternoon to tell me she had tracked it down and gotten it back for me!! I picked up the items and the bedspread looked fine. However, the draperies were not done to my satisfaction. Stay in the local area for business several times a year and frequent the restaurants that share this strip mall with Ogden's Cleaners. Tried their Fluff and Fold laundry service. 1 - There were no posted prices 2 - They did not weigh the bundle of clothes 3 - Did not return the laundry bags that delivered the laundry 4 - Laundry returned in 1 basic white garbage bag AND Lastly, my favorite cream colored shirt is now splotched dirty grey,blue, obviously washed with dark clothes. Front counter person was indifferent both on delivery and the pick up, did not even bother going back for ruined shirt. Cleaners should have a higher standard or not be in this type of business.
