They take good care of your clothes and they can dry clean almost anything. All my comforters go there and they have such decent prices for this and it does not take them two weeks to get it done. I don't need to use dry cleaners often but when I do it is usually for some really serious cleaning (e.g. usually forgot to clean my suit immediately after a party and need it for a wedding next week kind of situations) This was the first time we used mar vista cleaners for my suit and i was very happy with the results: the suit came back like it was brand new and super clean, it was fast and for a fair price. One quick note about parking: there are meters out front and even if you're just stopping in for a minute, you should pay it. He keeps small change on the counter so you to feed to meter - parking enforcement is serious over there. They also provide fast service and prices are reasonable. I sent in 6 pairs of slacks to get them cleaned and ironed but I sent them in on a Friday and Matthew told me that he would have them ready for me by Thursday evening. That is around 6 days which I think is a little excessive when it comes to turn around time. Matthew is a nice man but he will talk over you and on top of this he will sometimes talk in circles. This irritated me since I wrote down multiple questions about items that I wanted tailored to my dimensions and used items that I wanted restored such as T-shirts, leather jackets and off the rack dress suits. There was nobody in the store but he was speaking 1000 miles an hour like he was trying to rush me out of the shop as if there was a line of customers around the block. I did not get any clear or tangible answers both times I was there, the focus seemed to be on the clothes right in front of him. This is somewhat irrelevant but I changed into one of the recently pressed and hemmed pants since I had a business meeting with my boss right after. He told me that I should not do that since the pressed pants would wrinkle when I sit down in my car. Whats the point of getting your pants pressed if you are not supposed to wear them to a business meeting right after? That was just weird to me. As for the pants that I got hemmed they fit perfectly and he cleaned and pressed the 6 pairs of pants just right. I don't see myself doing any other form of business at this shop beyond getting my suits dry cleaned and my pants hemmed. read more

He is the owner of Mar Vista cleaners, enjoys his job and has a joy for living. You feel when you talk to him that he has been your next door neighbor for decades. He's a very considerate man with a love for great film directors around the world. As I was leaving, he shared his concern that I didn't put any change in the meter in front of his business-and promptly pointed to a small amount of change on his register that is free for customers to use so their cars do not get ticketed.. The owner chatted with me as he got my clothes (all the while offering me change for the meter), and walked out a block to help me put them in my car. They're convenient, in the Mar Vista business area, and the cleaning was as expected, but the owners are old and getting kinda surly. No expression when I said I was a first-time customer, didn't write prices on my order form, and the shirts were over $3.50 each for laundry. That's expensive. And with a four-day turnaround. I dropped over $40 for 11 shirts. I expected better. read more
