I've gone there a few times for both alterations and dry cleaning and it's always ended up well. My clothes come back clean and without a strong fragrance smell like they have from other places, and they've always been done on time or early. One time there was a stain I noticed on a piece they altered, and they resolved it quickly and freely, so I have no complaints. DO NOT COME HERE!!! They will ruin your clothes and refuse to do anything about it. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. I dropped off a gown for cleaning prior to attending a black tie wedding last weekend and picked it up in tatters. The dress hardly needed a clean to begin with (I am kicking myself for bringing it), but I wanted it to be fresh. I didn't fully inspect it upon picking it up (why would I?) so it wasn't until later when I was packing that I unwrapped it and realized there were small razor blade-like cuts all around the top of the gown. I called the store the next morning and spoke to the owner, Don, who asked me to bring it in when I returned from my trip so he could see how it happened and "make it right." We agreed on Tuesday afternoon. I show up on Tuesday to find out he's not there. I came back the next day and he proceeded to tell me that there was no way he could have done this and that I brought the dress in this way. I happened to have photos of me in the dress (with no damage in sight!) from just days prior when I was planning my outfit for the event. He told me that I took the photos so I could do just this (????). The real kicker is the only compensation he offered was a $30 credit for future cleanings (HA!). For my gown worth hundreds of dollars. He was extremely rude, condescending, and unhelpful throughout the entire conversation. Only after arguing for 10 minutes did he finally agree to reimburse me for the CLEANING that I was charged for when the damage occurred. And that's all! Unprofessional and disappointing doesn't even begin to cover it. I was left to find another black tie gown with 12 hours notice (like I have a ton of those lying around) and ultimately needed to buy a whole new dress. I have never written a negative review before, but any prospective customers need to know this. There are too many other dry cleaners in Culver City. I have been coming to Sepulveda Cleaners personally and for my business for over 3 years. Henry, the previous owner, was a very sweet and helpful person who always provided incredible service at a good price. The only time an instance like this occurred with him, he reimbursed me for the cleaning and the retail price of the item that was damaged. AND he approached ME to disclose the damage. Didn't wrap it up, charge me, and gaslight me when I brought it in to see what can be done. Safe to say I will NEVER be returning and I would STRONGLY urge anyone considering going to find another spot. AVOID COMING HERE AT ALL COSTS! read more

I brought in a dress that got caught in the inside of my dryer and ended up with black streaks that I wasn't able to remove myself. I actually thought the fabric was permanently damaged and that it couldn't be fixed, but to my surprise they were able to remove it! I came here looking for a new dry cleaners after one too many damaged items at my usual long time spot. I brought in five women's items- two simple pleated wool pants, a wool tweed miniskirt, & a gabardine wool two piece suit(simple kimono style open jacket & cropped pants with front/back waist pleating). The owner was friendly, & he escorted me to my car when I was finished after a belligerent homeless man came into the shop. I had a dry cleaning emergency and Henry came to the rescue! 3 days after receiving my brand new comforter, one of my kids had an accident on it. I followed the care instructions at home and not only did the stain and smell not come out, but the fabric was damaged. Henry was very honest with me that if he treated it, the fabric may break open during the drying process. I accepted the risk, signed a waiver, and left it to his expert care. We really lucked out when we moved in to the building where we live. Not only is the place right across the street, but this is one of the best cleaners I've ever done business with. The guy that owns the place a really friendly. When ever I walk in he's all "Hello Mister Patrick! How are you? Isn't the weather great!" And he shakes my hand, and is very happy to see me. It just kills me that I have no idea what his name is, so if anyone knows, please clue me in. The prices are good, and I've never had a problem with the quality. My girlfriend had some sort of impossible stain on one of her blouses and he asked for extra couple of days so that he could try and wash it a few more times. Much to our surprise and delight he was able to get it out and he didn't charge us extra. He also has a tailor working with him right there in the shop who does excellent work.
