What a great grocery store! I would describe Hollywood Markets as having a lot of different products/goods (better than a Busch's) but not all the craziness of a Meijer/Kroger. Comfortable atmosphere and did not feel like I was in the midst of crazy shoppers. Very nice produce selection which included an organic area. A small but mighty floral section as well. Liquor, beer, and wine also offered. Bathrooms are in the back of the store, literally the back where storage and shipments are at. However, the bathrooms do the job and employees in the back will point you in the right direction if you cannot find them. Impressed overall with all the food options and selections, especially meats and frozen foods. Check out was fast even though a lot of people were checking out. Self-check is also available. Prices were also reasonable and definitely cheaper compared to Busch's but quality is still great! read more

I visited the market this morning. I was blown away by how well stocked this store is. The cleanliness of the store caught my attention. Makes a person feel safe. I am sure the prices may be a bit higher, but for the convenience, efficiency and quality provided I think well worth it. The employees at the meat counter and the deli counter could not have been nicer. The cashier was friendly and very helpful. I have explored the pickup option on the website and found it to be very easy to use. Color me very impressed. read more

Went to local store on Rochester Rd. As I was shopping, I began thinking I should make this my "go to" store UNTIL I realized none of the employees were masked! Nope, not shopping there now or in the future. If they can't require safety standards in an epidemic, I have to question what goes on behind the scenes all the time. read more

they have absolute BEST meat counter. they have other great finds too, sometimes for better prices than kroger or meijer! certainly better quality! don't be fooled by the relatively smaller floor space. if u can't find it elsewhere, it's probably here. read more

My rochester hills hollywood is the very best!!!!!!!!! the employees are always positive, professional and knowledgable about their product no matter how busy they are, what time of day iam in there-which is variable and frequent. the staff in the deli and meat depts are awesome and the cashiers too. I have had probably 10 really bad experiences here all the way with managers to the checkout people ridiculing you, disrespecting you, and just a really negative culture. One experience there was five young kids at the checkout swearing making fun of each other and acting very inappropriate with all of the customers around including me that made me feel very uncomfortable. This store is the most well stocked grocery store I've ever been in. They have products you can't find at Kroger or Meijers...much less specialty stores. So if you're looking for a product you can't find at the big stores give this unique store a try!! read more

Wow, what a difference this place is from the other Hollywood that I used to go to off Opdyke! Clean, well organized, and spacious! Totally night and day. I came here today to pick up a few groceries, and it's really a nice grocery store. Great selection of items, friendly staff, nice deli and meat department as well. They have good prices on stuff, but I will say it's not as cheap as other places. The prices are fair, but things like their sandwiches, detergents and other stuff can get pricey. I will return in the future, and have always loved coming here. read more

Great Grocery store with a fantastic fresh meat counter and variety. Try the stuffed chicken breast's and pork chops! Always fresh and service is fast. Special shout out for the great job of stocking and sanitizing of carts and store to protect you from COVID-19 while shopping. I just love Hollywood Mkt. in Rochester. It's the cleanest grocery store ever. The bargains are real mark downs, not marked up ,then a tiny bit down to call it a "sale". The meat and seafood is excellent, beating most other stores by leaps and bounds ! The ground beef is so lean that often I have to add a bit of oil when frying. You will never find any browning on ANY of the fruits and vegetables. Another plus of Hollywood is they donate tons of food to Forgotten Harvest to feed hungry low income families every week. Great market! I am probably in here 5 times a week. It is rarely busy and so easy to run in and grab that missing recipe item quickly. The service at the meat counter is excellent. One criticism I have is that they do not have a very big organic produce section and what they do have is pricey. read more

I used to go here specifically for the meat dept, as Kroger and other grocery stores have far better prices and selection for anything outside of meat dept. Hollywood used to have a far friendlier and helpful staff, therefore it was worth the extra bucks to shop here. Sadly, the staff at the meat dept is beyond rude, and people at check out have become rude. I've spent my last dollar there. read more

Sadly I'm seeing a deterioration in my favorite store. Unhappy cashiers complaining about management in front of the customers. Talking about how they wish they could go on unemployment. Very unprofessional. Today when I went into one of the meat coolers near the meat department, there was a strong odor of bad meat. I mentioned it to an employee but wasn't sure it was being taken care of. Their meat department is top notch but it seems the store is being neglected somewhat. Lots of unhappy employees. Very sad. I love Hollywood Market! It's not one of those massive stores that exhausts you which is what I love about it. They are friendly, always well stocked and their deli and meat counter have everything you'd need or want, with wonderful service and happy employees which is an added bonus. Mixed bag. If you enter through the main entrance you may be met by a greeter. The man with the beard is gorgeous, with a quick smile and great sense of humor. He also keeps the entry area as clean as a any commercial facility can be. There is a noticeable drop off in other areas of the store like near the customer services desk and other entrance. Other shoppers will tell you they like the friendly people among the full time staff. Regulars make it shopping a social activity in their day. There are a few bad eggs, but hey they are union. The store is just the right size. You many notice a high degree of seniors shopping there. It is not too big for them to manage and the availability of three scooters. On the flip size the lack of shelf space means the you many only get the regular Mug Root Beer and not any diet Mug. They have some organic and some "gluten free", but an insignificant amount and not easy to find. The beer aisle features many of the Michigan breweries and one can often find the "hard to find" limited edition beers (they keep them behind at the customer service desk). The store in general is on the more expensive size for the same product elsewhere. If you are in their flyer delivery area, some the "sale" items are just "featured" items at their usual price. The butcher area and deli are draws if you can afford it. The deli might do better if they offered made to order sandwiches in the deli featuring their products instead of selling prepackaged sandwiches one might find in any gas station. read more

The meat counter staff must have had an off day. Went to buy a pound of ground turkey and the staff was incredibly rude. I wasn't greeted at all and it seemed as if I was bothering the woman that was working, then when asked if I needed anything else, before I could finish my sentence my purchase was thrown on the counter at me. They have the dumbest alcohol policy: my fiancé and I stopped to do groceries on the way to a party, and even though my fiancé had his ID they did not sell because I did not have an ID.... honestly? I have never seen such a dumb policy. If I were underaged and asked him to buy alcohol on my behalf would I even be dumb enough to show up to the store with him and be so flippant about breaking the law? Do they forbid alcohol sales to parents if they have their kids with them in line? The cashier said no.... well majority of underaged drinkers tend to get the alcohol from their parents anyways so I don't see how they are protecting anyone. We just went to the store less than a block away for alcohol. Not shopping there again for the inconvenience. read more

This store seems rather expensive and its selection of natural and vegan products is subpar. Aisles are not arranged in a way that makes finding organic or dairy free products easy. I have noticed that sometimes it does not look like their shelves are restocked in a timely manner. They do offer Ritter Sport chocolates, though, as well as Califia almond milk! read more
