I found Hollywood Nails on Yelp, and was very pleased with how clean it was and how pleasant the staff were. I called and got an appointment for a pedicure, but decided to add a manicure as well. Best in the Berkshires! Because this salon is appointment only, the service is excellent and the focus is on you. Unlike other places where they make you wait even if you have an appointment, I was in and out for my gel manicure and regular pedicure in 75 minutes! Tammy was lovely and did a perfect job. Look at the pic before reading- stay away from this horrible place. If only I could give zero stars. I went in here to get a manicure and a pedicure. One customer was leaving, another customer was about to be attended to and then there was me. Two workers and two customers. First of all the place is very run down and I should have known better. But I was relaxing on spring break and thought I would treat myself. The worker took me to the pedicure area, I didn't even get to soak my feet well. She was in such a rush for everything, mind you- there were only two customers. She hurried to cut my toe nails, didn't ask a question and in the process she cut my toe. Now I've been nicked at a nail salon before...and it happens, but this time it was different. She steadily poured the blue stuff- sanitizer?! maybe? but my cut would.not.stop.bleeding. This was not just a little cut. I asked her to leave my feet and move to my hands (I know- I'm dumb for not leaving immediately). While taking off my gel overlay she kept pausing to pour this blue stuff on my bleeding toe- and man this thing wouldn't stop. I saw her grab some glue and a little piece of paper towel- and disappear under the table. She wouldn't- I think. Then I felt a sting and pull my foot back. I screamed and asked her- are you GLUEING PAPER TOWEL TO MY TOE???? I hurried out of the salon and found the nearest emergency room to get it looked at and get a tetanus shot. While waiting for my Uber I took pics of my toe- all my toes were pretty f'ed up- she cut the nails so bad....it looked horrible. I even plucked a piece of paper towel and glue off my toe. This lady cut my flesh- not a small cut- but a small chunk of my toe. $331 later...hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone. If anyone knows how I can approach this please let me know. read more

HORRIBLE. Been here before and it was only ok, came back again and there was only one man available to do my nails. He had no idea how to take my old acrylic nails off and spent 45 minutes filing them with the electric file. He filed them for so long that he was just filing my bare nails until I was in pain. He was constantly hitting my skin with the file, I have cuts on all 10 fingers. He kept talking bad things about my old nail stylist because my nails were "thick" and "uneven" but the nails he gave me were just the same. My nails are so crooked, not even facing the same way as my finger. And when I asked him to straighten them out he just filed the crooked side until they were even more crooked. When he was painting them, he never cleaned the area beforehand so old nail shavings were getting all over the paint and leaving bumpy dots all over. He didn't wait for my nails to be dry before they were "done" so my jacket got fuzz all over my nails, and there was white residue all over my fingers. His license to do nails that's hanging on the wall looks fake. And I was sitting there for 2 hours and got charged $60 for this ridiculous experience and horrible looking nails. read more

Previously, I had went to Lucky Nails, and I asked for coffin shaped acrylics, but they came out horrible. Therefore I decided to get a fill in Hollywood, and I was so amazed with the service there and respect. The lady was gently and made sure that everything was even and perfect. Stop... place has no heat. Nail polish is a few years old and not much to choose from anyway. Dirty, nail dust all over the manicure chairs. Only 1 employee and another with her own clients that she brought with her. Pedicure chairs are falling apart and they are moving and have just lost there way. There are many more opened in the area. I have never written a bad review on Yelp. I am not hard to please. After making an appointment for a Saturday at 10:30 am for a Spa Pedicure a week or two in advance, I received a phone call while in a restaurant the night before (Friday night.) The Hollywood nails employee insisted that I come much earlier the next morning. When I said I had an appointment that ended at 10:10 am, she eventually accepted that I would try to come at 10:15 am. On the morning of the appointment, I arrived at 10:15 am. There were two people working, each with one customer. One employee looked up and said "who you?" in a rude tone and then looked back down. She did not say I will be with you shortly or anything at all. Then I sat there as it approached my original 10:30 appointment. I approached her and said "you called during dinner last night and insisted that I come early: I don't mind if you are behind but please at least let me know if/when you plan to take me." She did not say a word but the other employee said it would be soon. When she finally took me for the pedicure, she did not speak with me or look at me. It seemed that she felt I needed to be there to wait at her convenience until she was ready to take me rather than just let me come at 10:30 am as I had scheduled . She answered numerous phone calls during my appointment (more than 3) leaving my nails half painted at times. She did NOT perform the Spa Pedicure that I had scheduled, rather, she performed the basic pedicure. The pedicure itself was fine, and she charged me for the cheaper service she performed, but overall, it was the worst customer service I have ever received. I have no idea how they stay in business considering their rude attitude issues. They are clueless that it's not about their convenience and they have no capacity to be polite to their customers. read more

The worst set of acrylics I have ever gotten. Went in the afternoon for a full set. Didn't want french tips. I wanted polished nails. The guy doing my nails straight up refused to put on a set unless I did white tips. Fine. I'll get white tips. Fast forward to the next morning - I woke up to YELLOW nails. Something was up with their acrylic because instead of a nice pleasant pink, they were yellow. I would never go back here. read more
