I want to post this review because 7 bunnies died from this place and it is still very upsetting. I bought 3 bunnies for each of my kiddos for Christmas. Of course we know as parents we need to help as well which I did. I monitored the temperature, made sure there space was always clean, had the food she provided in the care instructions amounts, the drinking water was fresh and that kids were gentle. All three bunnies died!!! This was very traumatic to my kids and to me. I brought the bunnies to this breeder because I wanted her to know what happened. She had no clue why they would have died and replaced them but within months 3 more bunnies died. My oldest son was so upset of course he didn't want another bunny and honestly I didn't want to go through this again but after spending $450 on just the bunnies over $200 on the advised shelter for them and food she only offered to replace them. I offered her to come to our house in the beginning to see if she could please help see why this would happen but she refused. I replaced the last 2 but contacted a vet to run testing as to the cause of deaths. They did lab tests on the past away bunnies and said it was determined there was something in the moms breast milk that caused the deaths. I told this to her and said I would show the lab results and originally she said she would reimburse me for my expense. After this result came back and I told her she refused to pay me a penny or to refund me any money and was very rude on the phone. I am out of over $700 and no bunnies and believe me no desire to ever buy a bunny from her or honestly anyone at this point after such a traumatic experience. Just want others to be cautious before buying a bunny from her. read more

Claudette is amazing. She is very patient knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have. I picked a bunny and she allowed me to come visit every Saturday. This Saturday will be a week with our new addition. We love her. We will miss visiting Claudette she even said she will miss us visiting. I'm extremely upset. I went to visit May 15 and I chose the perfect tri-color doe to bring home on June 20, as she wasn't ready to leave her mom yet. I spent a lot of time and money on rabbit supplies getting ready to bring her home just a week before the expected day. June 19 came and I didn't receive a single text. June 20th I texted and no one answered back, today June 21st I finally got a text back saying they didn't have any tri-colored bunnies anymore and that they had my name on another bunny and they will "see what happened" yet I received no response as to what happened, which clearly they gave away the bunny I had reserved and was waiting to pick up. Mind you I live nearly two hours away and came just to pick her out. You would think that if the bunny had died you would try to contact me more than just calling once, which i never received a call and have my entire call list from april to june on my phone. Let alone if I didn't answer a courtesy text would have been nice. read more

I just picked up my first Hollywood Rabbit bunny, and was very happy with all aspects of the transaction. Mike was extremely helpful in answering questions I had before and after we chose our bunny. I had a bunny previously many years ago, and I see a huge difference between my first bunny, who I think was too young to be seperated from her mom, and this Hollywood rabbit bunny. This new bunny is calm, and used to people. I like that they keep the babies with their mom for a few months. All the rabbits in residence looked healthy, relaxed and "happy." We were not impressed by Hollywood Rabbits AT ALL. Ripping people off by selling pet quality rabbits for $200 is shameful. Just because you CAN take advantage of people, doesn't mean you should. Claiming to have Champion lines is ridiculous. Even if a bunny were to come from a Grand Champion Sire and Dam that does NOT mean the offspring is Show Quality (if only it were that easy). Also, any Breeder who has worked hard and takes pride in their line, would not pass out their pedigree on pets, because that pet could easily end up in the hands of some Backyard Breeder who is going to breed that bunny to other pet bunnies and keep producing unshowable, mismarked, pet bunnies claiming "Champion Babies" or "show quality" JUST because they have a pedigree. Doing that, in turn, totally ruins a breeders good reputation and all their hard work is down the drain. Having a fancy website does NOT make a legit Breeder (do your research). Repackaging Kruse feed as their special blend is deceitful. Check the ingredients. Manna is Calf Manna and there is none in the list of ingredients. Buyer beware. read more

I have dealt with Hollywood Rabbits (Claudette and John) for about 2 yrs now. I started 2 yrs ago looking for a bunny for my son and I after a divorce and I lost 3 dogs. I moved into a townhome with my son and due to health reasons I could not care for a dog so we thought a bunny would be the perfect pet. In doing my research in Ca I found Hollywood Rabbitry (about 1 hr 45 min away) and I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I was when I drove up. This place is not what you might expect from a rabbitry. It is situated in a beautiful location with grounds kept immaculate and as clean as possible considering the amount of bunny's they have. They have a immpecable system to keep bunnies logged as to when they are available and which have already been spoken for. Claudette is the warmest person I've ever met for a first introduction and literally spent hours with me picking out the perfect bunny. No bunny was off limits to me unless sold. Even one's she continplated keeping were offered. Claudette also showed me all about bunnies and how to tell if they would be show quality if I wanted to do so in the future. John was equally as nice. After a month or two of realizing my health was not going to hold up and our home was not the best environment for out bunny at the time Claudette drive out very far to come get the bunny from me and assured me when I was ready she would have another bunny for me. Well the time came 2 weeks ago (as I bought a house and now have my boyfriend living with us to help care for the bunny.) Claudette was stuck on vacation due to a accident so she had her son Mike help me. I did really miss my time with Claudette as I now consider her a friend. But I did find a bunny and once again she was (is) perfect. I just could not love her any more than I do. I also have a cat now who my bunny adores and they were fast friends! Best friends! Claudette does everything possible to socialize her bunnies and she take tremnsdous pride and care for her rabbits. Her love for them is apparent the minute you meet her. If anyone was to buy a holland lop bunny anywhere else I would never understand! I know when you go to Hollywood Rabbits and meet Claudette and John and see their quality bunnies you will agree with me.
