Before giving up, I called Hollywood Suits to ask if they had tuxedos available. I was lucky that Oscar answered my call. He went out of his way to text me photos of what they had in stock. I went over about four hours before my event, and they had several great options. Oscar helped me find the right size, and they even offer alterations right in the back for an additional fee. His roommate has been bugging him to come here for a long time so we came over. It's on Hollywood Boulevard, which is very touristy. The sales person with the black hair and beard was super helpful and patient. He styled a whole bunch of variations with the ties and shirts. We ended up getting like three shirts and three ties and he threw a couple freebies in which was great. The only issue is that it was a longer process in general. And we didn't see pricing on any of the items so we should've asked. And I think some of the shirts that we bought were a different price online. I'm not 100% sure but definitely ask as you go through the process. Street parking. There's no returns on the item so you better love them. We appreciate it that he let us try on several dress shirts to find the right fit. My son had a good experience. Overall, it was reasonably priced. I'm not 100% sure if the dress shirts we bought are a cotton blend or 100% cotton, but we were advised not to dry them too long as they were machine washable. read more

Came on a Saturday afternoon. Yes, they have a PARKING LOT in the back. FREE. (we didn't know, and parked on the street) So having free parking in hollywood is a double bonus. BOOYAH! Service was basically perfect. Walk in, and a few moments the gentleman asked if we are good or need help? We told him we are just looking. He reminded us about the color tags. (there are signs) red tags - $99 suits, green $133,blue... I am a little color blind so it was a struggle for me for tags, but my wife was helping. Throughout the duration of our visit, he would check about every 10 mins. After 40 mins or so, we finally say - Yes. We need help. So they aren't PUSHY at all. And they also don't ignore you after several times saying we are good. A vast selection, and while there were few Green tags (Least expensive) - I was quite satisfied with 3 Green Tag Suits & 1 Red Tag Suit. Granted the color tags are not in order, it's all random. So will take some time if you actually look at all of the suits. The quality was better than expected. The Red/Green Tag suits were not pieces of trash. It was easy to change between suits (right by Size 40) The Small building in the parking lot is the sister company (no relation to Hollywood Suits) that does the alterations. Alex was kind, and was able to do our alterations that afternoon. (we didn't have to drive back another day, which was awesome) Alex hemmed 3 pants for my friend, 4 pants for me, and 1 coat needed) $20 for hemmed pants each, and the Coat $40 CASH ONLY. No problem, we found a bank nearby. Went to Korean Town for lunch, and once we were done eating Alex had completed and picked up on the way out. read more

I rarely write reviews but what I experienced and saw was so unbelievable I had to write one. I wish I could give this store a 0 star review, but 1 is the lowest score that I can give. My girlfriend and I went to this store to get some suits. When we arrived at the store, the employee John didn't even say hello, good morning, just took us straight to the suits. He was very serious and dismissive about our questions. We picked a few colors of various sizes because we wanted to find the color first before finding the size. We decided on a color and wanted to put the suits back. We put the other suits back on an empty rack which we thought was for suits we didn't want. John ran up to us yelling, saying we put the suits in the wrong spot and pointed at the size tag. We apologized and he slammed the suits on the rack before walking away. We noticed a stain on one of the suits and asked another employee if he could repair it for us. He said very seriously, "I'll do it AFTER you buy the suit." So we decided to put the suit back after the way he talked to us. Later on we noticed an elderly couple talking to John and the lady asked him a question and before she could finish her question, he walked away. She asked him why is he walking away, he started yelling at the couple saying if they don't like it they can leave the store. We went to the register to get the socks and pay for the suits. The lady behind the counter acted as if the socks were made of gold the way she tried to protect them. The lighting of the room caused a glare on the plastic covering of the socks so we couldn't see what colors and if they matched so we just picked what we thought worked. So we bought a suits and brought it home. There was threading everywhere and the quality of the suit is less than subpar. Don't believe the radio ad, they're not from actual name brands, they just add Armani to the name and claim it's an actual Armani suit. I would not recommend this store ever for suits. You can probably find better quality suits for a few more dollars at other stores and not be mistreated nor yelled at by their employees. read more

Now Guys can get suits anywhere, but I come here because they have a wide range of choices in color, style, quality and prices. They have a special deal, buy 3 suits, you get 3 shirts, 3 ties, 3 belts, 3 socks and 3 handkerchiefs, all for as low as three hundred dollars, granted this is for the lower end suits, so prices are higher with higher quality. You buy one suit, accessories are not included. All the Employees here are friendly, nice and helpful. John who helped me is great, he's there to assist you in all your needs, questions or advice, and the best part is that he doesn't pressure you. Free parking in the rear, 2 hr. metered parking in the front. Alteration service also available in the rear, extra charge of course. They also have brand name suits for a bit more as well. Needed a last Minute suit for a funeral the next day, and I was in a hurry. The salesman was a pro and guessed my size almost spot on, and found me a black suit off the rack that only needed the pants hemmed. I've been meaning to check these guys out for a while after seeing a tv ad or two a few years ago. The unfortunate occasion came up where I needed a suit for a funeral. I stopped in around 6pm on a Tuesday, explained to the suit assistant what the occasion was and he immediately took me to a nice well made black suit that was the perfect fit, besides the pants needing to be hemmed. In addition, I purchased a white shirt (he picked the right neck size just by eyeballing me), a nice black tie, and a belt. All together it seemed like a decent price for the bundle. I was out of there what seemed like just 30 minutes. I'll be back to check out more suits and clothes from them. There seems to be a lot of stylish options. read more

You would think located in a run down area that constantly smells like sewage, they would appreciate ANY customers they can get. I personally came all the way over here because my grandfather highly recommended it to my fiance, and we are in need of a new suit for a special occasion. We were there for about 20 minutes, we looked around, asked for help repeatedly.. Their stacks aren't exactly organized, they should have their clothes assorted by brand, color, size-- like any normal clothing store-- but they weren't. So at this point we kind of realized we can't tend to ourselves here, so we asked for help again. There was only one other customer in the store besides us, and they were being tended to at the register for the whole time we were there, which is fine. There were other employees walking around-- I know they were employees because I had asked-- so it just seemed like instead of just helping us on the spot, everyone had an excuse as to why someone else should help us. Really annoying. Like, you can really stand there and watch us to make sure we won't steal for the whole time we're there, but assist us with making a purchase? Oh no. LOL. About 4 different employees who are too busy doing anything else besides help the only other customer in the store.. what a joke. I even sat down and just went through their website since at least that provided some kind of help. Anyways, since we were never attended we had stopped by a small suit shop like 2 stores down. Jad from Hollywood Menswear helped us very much! Super attentive, very nice. He helped other customers in the store while still attending to us! We bought a 3 piece suit with complimentary tie & handkerchief for $200. He recommended us a tailor down the street and we'll have everything ready within 2 hours of us having been here. It could've taken only an hour and a half at most if we wouldn't have waisted our time at Hollywood Suits! read more

Walked in early morning asking for a coat only. I Have a pair of pants already and gentleman straight up said we don't have that material. A few seconds later he told me could do that same material as my pants only if I bought an entire suit. Not quite sure how that works. Anyways, it was worth a try driving down. John then provided the most patient and expert customer service. John the Sales representative was so helpful in guiding me to the area of the store where I needed to look. If I'm going to be honest, This place is great and all but the customer service needs more work. Me and my friends walked in to get suits for an event and the guy that helped us is awesome, He was quick to get our sizes and made sure it fit well for us. After we got everything set, my friend asked a simple question to the lady at the checkout about the suits and the lady was just completely rude and felt like she was pushing us to pay. That's not the customer service I would give to a person since I work in retail. I hate leaving a bad review but the service that me and my friends had was by far not the best. if I could get a response from the owner for an apology I would greatly appreciate it because the lady that was at the counter needs to know how to give proper responses and not rush anyone into paying. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! This cheap suit looks like I made it in Textiles class. It's falling apart. Claims to be Wool, but Is definitely Polyester. Awful quality. My boyfriend needed to buy a suit for a costume, but it's too cheap to even be worn as that! Lol it it's absolutely hilarious that they charge $300 for a poorly made polyester suit. Calvin Klein? No... just a knock off made while blind folded. The pants don't even have a Calvin Klein tag. The buttons and silver clasps have to be from the 99cent store. YIKES stay away. If you're looking for a quick inexpensive suit, Zara is great. I wasn't there this time to save my boyfriend from this travesty. read more
