This is my second time here and it's was even more awesome than the first time!! Ricky came and greeted us and asked what we were looking for. He measured my husband and took us to the correct part of the store and helped us, he gave us space to find and look a the suits but he always came back and checked in to make sure we were okay he gave us opinions on different styles. After my husband picked the suits he liked he brought us to the middle of the store to pick out his ties and shirts. He was awesome!! We had this lovely lady named Terri help me pick out ties and shirts the could be mixed and match. She was amazing and so sweet. CAUTION:YELP RATING MANIPULATION & PRESSURE SALES Came in to find a suit for an upcoming funeral, and upon entering the store was greeted by one gentleman that set me up with Greg. That's the beginning of the shtick, as if they need some bozo concierge to broker me with a suit salesman. Greg proceeded to size me up, brought out something that was overly tight. He then brings out a suit that fit like a glove, guess how much? $899! As soon as I shut this down, Greg instantly seemed to lose his enthusiasm. Perfect! He proceeded to "search" for alternatives; looked more like a deer in headlights to me. Brought out two more suits, one of which was overly tight and one that was baggy. I ask if there's anything that would be a better fit and he looks at me with a convoluted stare; he could not comprehend my dissatisfaction with his choices. Relunctantly, i decide with the baggier suit as i was not about to search that massive store on my own. He then suggests I stop by next door to have the suit altered; another great setup. Can anyone say kickback!?! But I digress, I acquiesce and go with Greg's choice, and here's the best part. Greg tells me I can get a free tie for posting a review on yelp. After logging on and posting a neutral review, Greg insisted I write "just a little more;" did I mention that he stood not 2 feet away from me the entire time I was posting!?! Then after he proof read my post, he decided it was satisfactory and continued to invade my personal space by touching all up on my phone and giving himself a 5 Star Rating. Are you f*cking kidding me!?! The online reviews are MANIPULATED by these snob clowns. AND last but not least; the advertisements for 3 suits for $199 including shirts and hanky are nothing more than BAIT and SWITCH sales tactics. I walked out of that store with one suit that didn't fit for $199. GREAT! An additional fee of $80 to tailor the suit. CON ARTISTS...NEVER going back to this sh*thole again. read more

Staff: As one would expect they were very outgoing, friendly, knowledgeable, and overall great. Store: Denitely very clean. the selection was enormous. They have designer names and very good deals. I'm hardly ever compelled to write a review however the bad service or quality of a store is, but this time I feel compelled to do so by this places horrible service and selection. So like many others I was induced into visiting here due to there commercials. I don't need to buy 3 suits and get 20 shirts, 18 ties, 12 pairs of socks and all kinds of other stuff I don't need for FREE!!!!?!?, I just wanted one very seemingly simple thing. A black slim fit suit. Period. I walk in and am not greeted by anyone even though I saw at least 3 employees fleetingly acknowledge my existence. They all seemed very interested in the older middle-aged man I kindly opened the door for who perceivably has more money than I do at first glance. So I shrug it off considering the fact that I'm a mid twenties guy wearing skinny jeans, a t-shirt and vans slip-on's. I probably don't look like I'm going to spend too much money. I get that, but I fully intended spending at least 400 to 500 dollars on a black, slim-fit suit. So I go off on my own being ignored all the way by every employee I pass and attempt to find a black, slim-fit suit on my own. I literally spend about an hour looking for the one thing that I want and am never approached by an employee even once. Just passed by. So in my attempt to find the suit that I want which I had imagined ANY suit store should have a ton of, I come to see that they have every thing but that. At least from what I can see that is. You see, 1/3rd of their inventory is out of reach unless you are the Jolly Green frieken Giant. And if you want to even try to see what they have to offer 13 feet in the air, you need what? Yes, an employee to help you! So after an hour I give up looking and decided to go out of my way to try to ask someone for help. I ask the first employee who I see and say, "Hi, I'm looking for a black, slim-fit suit. Could you help me out?" He says, "If you didn't see one we don't have it." Oh, is that so Mr. Worst Employee of the Century. Maybe, "Let me look for you real quick" or "Allow me to grab my associate the Jolly Green Giant to help you look at the suits 13 feet in the air to see if we may have it." But no, he just walked away, so I walked out after putting down the grey, slim-fit suit I was going to buy instead. Then I went to 3 Day Suit Broker in Fountain Valley and was kindly greeted by Mike immediately after I entered. I told him what I wanted, a black, slim-fit suit and just as I expected a decent suit store to have, he literally found that black, slim-fit suit in less than a minute and had me on my way to the fitting room to try it on. Of course, it fit perfectly because Mike knows his stuff and knew my measurements right when he saw me. After trying on the suit, he had the alterations to the pants done within 10 minutes and I walked out of there spending 400+ dollars in 15 minutes. So what I'm trying to say here is, Hollywood Suits sucks. K bye. read more

I only rarely give reviews, but I must in this case. In brief, Hollywood suits has: 1. Unprofessional, inattentive and unknowledgeable sales staff. 2. Expensive alterations. 3. No returns, exchanges only, even of untailored/unopened merchandise, and only for fifteen days following purchase. 4. Only unknown brands of suits, shirts, ties, etc. Don't expect to find name brand merchandise from a respected manufacturer. 5. Many of their suits are "seconds," with obvious flaws in the material. Look closely BEFORE you buy. I strongly suspect that this Yelp page has been "salted" with 5 star reviews by friends and relatives of the management and staff. Read the 1 star reviews first; they provide a very accurate description of the shopping experience at Hollywood Suits. My advice, STAY AWAY! read more

I came here with a party of ten for a wedding to suit up. One guy helped all ten of us, one guy. He was cool, but a little over confident in his ability to pick out something stylish; his taste was horrible. Anyways, I asked multiple times for some additional help, but apparently they work off commission so that was out of the question. Needless to say, it took almost 4 hours. Checkout was disorganized and just weird. Aren't these moments supposed to be the fun stuff? I was personally miserable. read more

The customer service in this store was TERRIBLE. Fiance and I walked in and were greeted by an older gentleman. We told him that we were looking for a vest so he walked us to the rack of vests and told us he didn't have a lot. He then handed us his business card and walked away. He was right, they didn't have a great selection. They were hideous and the quality was crappy. We then looked at their suit selection, but our so called salesman never came back to see if we needed help. The man in the Hollywood Suit commercial tells the public to give the store a chance and if we do, we will be a customer for life. Ha! I will never step foot into this shithole again. I walked in and no one greeted me. As I continued to walk around still, there was no one greeting me. At one point a worker passed by me and I said, "Hello." Still, not a response back, but rather I was ignored. I must have stayed for 35 minutes just browsing and again, nobody there had the courtesy of asking me if I needed help. Lastly, I walked out, passing by several workers again and of course no one cared to say a single word to me. I will never come back, nor will I recommend anyone to come here. I usually don't write reviews but this place deserve a review from me! What's so good about this place you may ask? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! SERVICE IS MORE WORST THAN AN ASIAN RESTAURANT. When I first arrived at the place, I thought I was going to be greeted by 3 staff members that were waiting at the front door. But NOPE, they totally ignored me and greeted another customer that came in right behind me. I guess wearing jeans and a black tshirt is a sign of poorness. After wondering around for a minute a two, looking for the tie clip section, a staff finally approached and ask if I needed help. The staff didn't look like he wanted to help, but was more curious what a guy me would be doing in a suit place. But whatever, after I told him that I needed a tie clip, without a thought, he quickly said they are sold out on tie clippers. Hmmm.. a store that is as big as a warehouse, doesn't have any tie clippers left for sale. Interesting... I did wondering around the store for a bit afterward to check out the suits. They were no name brands, and didn't really stand out much. I say save your money and go to Macy, Nordstrom, or any other department stores. read more

Definitely not my favorite place to buy a suit but if you're looking for a quick cheap option, this is the place to go. Service will vary, if you're looking to buy the 3 suit package for $199, don't expect much. The people here are friendly to your face, but if you watch them you'll see them for who they really are. Spend $700 and they'll treat you like a king, maybe. Anyways onto the rest. They have quite a bit of selection and many sizes and colors to choose from. They also have brand name suits (hugo boss, etc). Alterations are also quite expensive, each adjustment made will be at least $25.00. So keep that in mind. Luckily there's a place closer to my home which provides better service so most likely I won't be coming back here. read more

Do not even waste your time here. The workers here are pushier than a car salesman trying to sell a lemon to an uninformed college student buying a car for the first time. They advertise heavily their 3/$199 deal, it's everywhere on the walls and on their webpage.They also have other 3/$xxx deals. Came with on a Saturday with my mother and brother looking to buy suits for a wedding. There were only two workers on the floor that were going back and forth from party to party. Greg, the worker who "helped us", has been selling suits for 20+ year. Didn't greet us or help us until we figured out how where to find what we wanted. He half looked at us, guessed our sizes, and had us try on 3 completely different sizes (6 different suits = 6 different sizes if you want to count the difference between short, regular, and long) each until he left to help another party and we found suits that would fit us on our own. After a long 2 hours on our own, we finally found suits that we liked that had jackets that fit us (Note: they'll have a suit in almost every size). They had all their prices color coded (Being slightly color-blind this is the worst, my brother and mother who aren't even color-blind can't even tell because there's so many different shaded tags and it is inconsistent) and we couldn't find any suits that they had advertised for the 3/$199 deal. I ended up trying a suit that was $179. It didn't fit my legs and we weren't allowed to switch pants either. What came with the suit was what you got. We asked Greg if we could put my brother's suit on hold so we could go home and get my dad so we could get the 3 for $xxx deal that came with their shirt, tie, belt, handkerchief, and socks but he deflected it and kept saying just to buy the suit and come back later to get the deal. I didn't even find the suit I wanted that would fit me yet. I insisted on putting my brother's suit on hold. Greg reluctantly said yes. He seemed like he wasn't going to put it on hold and would just end up putting it back on the rack by the way he was answering me. I decided I wasn't going to buy a suit from here anymore. My brother however was pressured into buying his so he decided to buy it. Turns out there are NO RETURNS so make sure that he suit fits you perfectly. The suit does not fit my brother perfectly, he is having it altered elsewhere. Ended up going to Nordstrom Rack and Macy's. Got a suit from both but decided to go with the one I got from Macy's for $130. They always have deals but I got a steal by using coupons (that the worker was more than happy to scan his own so I could keep mine) and getting suit separates from the same designer line (so they matched!). The gentleman that helped me took his time to make sure that I got the right fit and style even though they were closing up shop. read more

ATTN WEDDING PARTIES: Avoid this place at all risk!l for the sake of your wedding!!!! Management is horrible. Not professional. Not courteous to your wedding party or suits at all. The manager and the girls that works there are very self centered on their phones and flirtatious with each other. I think the manager is Freddy. DO NOT deal with him. Oh and if you paid for your stuff and had to wait bc they have to order it... Don't expect it to come. Expect to pick out something else 3 weeks later. The other employee, Miguel is a racist prick. He thinks all Asians are a like and uses racial derogatory remarks to customers!!! But I'll admit they're like a family over there. If you get into an argument with one, you will hear from almost every single person there telling you to either drive to their other store, wait longer, or best of all... "It's not our fault". This place needs a new manager and cashiers. Sales guys are cool. That Asian dude was nice throughout the whole thing and offered to drive himself to the other store. I rarely buy suits, but heard of the great deals so I thought I'd drop by. Tien assisted right when I got it. Very professional and asked what I was looking for. I had no idea since I don't own many suits. He was very patient, got my measurements and showed me different styles.
