I've been taking my car here for several years and the quality of service has fallen drastically in my experience. Frankly I've never had great customer service here but I took my car here because it was closer to home and convenient. The last few visits left a bad taste in my mouth. One of the visits had me waiting over 2 hours for a quick and simple repair. Then on the most recent visit, I was recommended some $3500 repair that I didn't find justifiable. Sure, I'm no car expert and I expect a dealership to care for their customer and offer decent recommendation and rationale to back up a recommended $3500 repair. Then when I decided not to go through with it, I felt brushed off. I was recommended to buy some coolant and engine oil at their Parts dept., but it would have been helpful if the advisor gave a quick call to his colleagues about the situation and that the customer would need this and that. I guess I was expecting a bit too much for paying higher prices in taking my car to a dealership rather than a Tires Plus. And no knock on Tires Plus, I take my car there for simple oil changes all the time. At a dealership though, I would hope for higher quality service. I then took my car for a second opinion at Toyota in Turnersville who treated me much nicely and were upfront about what my car ACTUALLY needed and it didn't cost $3500. I wish I had read reviews before shopping from this dealership! Like many of their customers including me who purchased a new 2019 Rav4 Stock #KW003358 later to finds out, that the car they imported from Canada/USA had way too many problems compares to Japan import which is available from other dealerships. Mine already had MID instrument panel not working after 2 weeks of purchase which they refused to fix without paying $2,690+tax. Like many had pointed out, Nancy Lynch is such an awful finance consultant. Her attitude so bad when wiring money over the phone, the bank staff on the other line declined her request and hung up on her. My family was verbal abuse by her during the signing process trying to rush us out and the worst part is... not only she overcharge $400 in documentation fees but also increase our interests rate from 5.99% APR to 6.6% APR right before signing in return costing us more. I spend this time writing this review knowing they'll try to remove it which I'll keep posting hoping future shoppers can learn from our mistakes and think twice before shopping from Holman. we'll spend more time filing complaints to Toyota corporate for them to investigate these unfair business practices and discrimination against us with a language barrier. I made an appointment to have two small things looked at. The customer service woman was the rudest person I have ever dealt with in a business setting. She had an attitude from the start and focused solely on making up reasons why the service department could not be bothered. Finally she told me they would look at my but it would take two to two and a half hours for them to get to it despite having an appointment and contrary to what I was told when I made the appointment. Unfortunately, this is a one star review but would love to give a ZERO. We purchased a used car from Holman that was most definitely a LEMON and sold with known issues. Holman can say they had no idea but we have had it to enough reputable mechanics that say otherwise. The car had trouble stating three months after purchase and after dumping over 2000 into it, it is now irreparable in just about a year after purchase and only been driven maybe 500 miles. They do not stand behind their products. The most ridiculous part of this experience is that when we reached out to see if they stand behind their product they said yes but offered no support other than to come back and buy another car from them....which just shows they don't care about anything other than a sale. Have only driven Toyotas my whole life and they've saved my life a couple times, but probably will never buy one or shop from here again. Went by this morning to look at a used car that I found online on their website. First called to see what the protocols because of COVID were. The first person I spoke with said I need an appointment and transferred me to another person, who then told me I don't need an appointment...but then asked me when I would be coming in anyway. Regardless I got there and it took a good 5min of me aimlessly wandering around the showroom for anyone to acknowledge my existence and see if I needed anything. They finally paged the person I spoke to earlier. She met me and seemed nice enough. She had a good bit of trouble finding my car and when I showed her a picture of the car on my phone, just started using my phone to find the car # without even asking me if it was OK. Especially in the time of COVID I thought this was quite rude. Got out to make my test drive and brought the car back and the airbag light was on. I mentioned this to the salewoman and she seemed quite upset and asked that we walk out to the car. She literally ran off to some door behind her desk and I barely saw where she went. She didn't hold the door open for me or even wait for me in the parking lot and just wandered off looking for the car. She turned it on, fiddled with the controls, saw the light was on and without explanation just said "I'm going to take it to the service department, I'll meet you at my desk." She came back in a few minutes and without any discussion of what was wrong with the car or why the light was on or what would happen after they fixed it, just assumed I was going to buy the car. The words "OK I'll it" or anything to that effect never came out of my mouth. Then I stopped her and said I'm not ready to buy yet and she just stared at me so I suggested, how about I take your card and we'll be in touch. She said OK and gave me her card and we awkwardly parted ways. Pros: Social distancing and safety measures for COVID are in place. A HUGE amount of cars and a nice showroom. The couple others I interacted with seemed perfectly nice. Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience with my salesperson and even norms of courteous social interaction were lacking. I am so so upset at how I was treated today. I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. I left the car there as I had errands to run. My father then went to go pick it up. Once he got the car he realized that the cars ac and or heat was not working he then went to talk to naiomy who said that I had brought the car in broken and that it wasn't there fault. Today is 1/6/24 and it was snowing then raining heavy if I had broken my car I would have been able to drive it there due to my windows fogging up and not being able to control. She was very rude to my father then me when she spoke to me in the phone. Wasn't offering any help she kept thinking we were going to take the car. Which me and my dad both repeated over and over that it would be a safety hazard for myself, and for other people on the road. She kept saying that they were going to fix it but I had to pay for. I was very confused on why I had to pay for it and I asked her because it was working perfectly fine when I took it to the service area. And she said that they didn't break it I broke it so I had to pay for it. I talked to a friend who advised me to call an officer to where I was and just get a report on the issue so that if they did make me pay for it, I could take it to civil court. I have always had an amazing experience at this Toyota dealership. All of my cars are from Toyota but to be treated this way with so much disrespect towards myself and my dad. Willingly knowing that the car is a safety hazard for myself and others, and trying to get me to take the car and leave. I can't even begin to explain the rudeness and disrespect that naiomy segui spoke to us with. I had to call the cops to explain that they are trying to make me drive home in a car that wasn't safer if they make me pay for this when my car was perfectly fine I will be taking them to civil court. Company did not follow their quoate. They quoated me to replace an altinator, with a new one and give me back my old one. I noted that the bolts on the altinators stick and become an issue and why I was asking a quoate. They stated it would be $550.00 to replace the altinator on the 15th of June and that they would need to order the altinator and would not be able to do it till Wednesday June 17. I came at my appointment time at 8:30am. After they had a problem with a bolt to replace the altinator they altered the price. I was told when asked if I stopped the work that they will charge me the $550 and would not put the car back as it was and not in running condition that I brought it in. So they continued. Now I'm urked because the are removing on their quoate for the reason I asked them to do it and they were going to charge me $940. I did talk to the service manager and stated they will see what they can do to lower that price. I'm now stuck they have my vehicle and are gouging me and altering the agreement. When the work was completed I went out and looked at the work when I notice they did not install a new altinator as stated and agreed to the were also charging over that other dealers are charging for new altinator online for the rebuilt. When I complained they claimed a rebuild is a new altinator from Toyota and that it rebuild is new. I agree and disagreed they threted to throw me off the property without my vehicle. When I asked them to call the police so we can have statement that they wanted me to leave and that they were going hold my property and that I will press charges of illigal assure of my property and charge them with exstortion. This made them back off and work to lower the price that I did not agree with. Butni wanted to get this over with get my vehicle and never come back. Then they were not going to give me back my altinator untill I let them know that violated nj law. Then I got it after another argument. read more

The service department is so bad here run away. They will quote you high prices and try an rip you off. Some Toyota Camry engines burn oil a lot more than usual. They try and down play the use of oil and say it's normal. Too many recalls on my car won't ever buy a Toyota again . I feel bad trading in this garbage to another dealer but I don't want this car anymore. So much for Toyota reliability. Never buy anything from Holman! Deceitful and incompetent! Bought a 2020 Avalon Limited. The salesperson, Don Wilhelm told me the car had options it did not. Because of COVID restrictions he could not show me any of the car's functions. I found out too late. Gave me the wrong information regarding differences between Touring and Limited. I then find out the VIN# of the registration/plate did not match the car. I went back and he said don't worry about it, the cops never look that closely. Told me after 30 days I could just put my PA plate back on the car whether I received the new registration or not. After he made the sale I was dead to him. I spent weeks trying to get things sorted out with other people at Holman. The problems I had "selling" them my leased car is a whole other story. read more

We went to Holman in hopes of getting into something newer with lower payments. We previously bought from Liberty in Burlington, but we thought we would give Holman a try. Upon walking in we were looked at like we were idiots and not one person greeted us. We walked the whole showroom and wasn't greeted until it looked like we were leaving. We had gotten some snail mail from liberty saying that they would give us 20% above blue book for our 2015 Rav 4. We called Holman and they said by law they have to match what it says. When someone FINALLY assisted us he stated that their buy back is a little different than what's on paper but they had rebates for their 2017 models. He passed us to a guy named Tom who made the impression that he was bothered by our presence. (My partner and I are lesbians and it looked as though it bothered him A LOT). He only gave us one option which was the rav 4 hybrid. Although it was nice it wasn't what we were looking for, but he still pushed it on us. Never showed us anything else or gave another option. So for kicks and giggles (said politely) we said okay run the numbers. He came back with an asinine price and then told us that we were getting 3,000 less than the blue book asking price! (our Rav was in almost perfect condition wity only 23,000 miles and brand new tires...recent oil change etc)Needless to say we were beyond insulted and just plain angry when we left. We then asked about the C-HR and he just gave us this lame story of the price would be higher and blah blah blah.. Fast forward to today.... We went back to Liberty, got the same salesman as 2 years ago who was AMAZING. Not only did we leave in a 2018 brand new off the showroom floor, we also got cheaper payments!!!!! I have two parts of this review, both were 5/5. SALES: 5/5 I wanted the new 2018 Camry. My sales rep, Don Cahal, was phenomenal. Not only did he not push me in any one direction, he went above and beyond trying to find the exact trim I wanted (black on black XSE with the panoramic roof - apparently rare). I waited 3 weeks before they were able to find it, but he did! He also helped me transfer my previous lease over to my brother. It was all a no bargaining, no hassle, no worries transaction. NO BS. I'm sure you all can appreciate honesty from salesmen. Don is your dude. Second, SERVICE. 5/5 I noticed when I got home that my new Camry had some stains in the clear coat (the previous retailer before Hollman had let bird poop get on it and it stained the paint in the hot sun). I didn't want to be picky or look crazy, but it is a 30k car. So I brought it up with the service manager who directed me to Keith - a service specialist. Long story short, they put me in a rental while they hired a professional detailer to remove the scratches and stains that had come on the car, all free of charge. Even picked me up from my house before I had the rental. If I could buy this whole office a fruit basket I would. They really went above and beyond and made me feel comfortable and very welcome there. Sidenote - never go to Toyota Runnemede. Had so many bad experiences there. read more

I called to inquire about a new to inventory used car I saw online and wanted to come in that day to test drive and hopefully purchase. I was told the vehicle was just received and was going through inspection and recondition and would not be ready to test drive for 3-5 business days. Understandable, so I made an appointment to see the vehicle at the time it would be ready. I was given a phone call and and several emails confirming my appointment up to the day of my appointment. The morning of my appointment, my husband went onto the website to see if they had posted updated photos of the vehicle and it was no longer posted in the inventory. I waited for the dealership to open that morning and i called to confirm that the vehicle was ready for my appointment . I was told by the sales manager that as soon as it was ready from service it was put on the sales floor and sold... all the while I had an appointment and was just waiting on them for the vehicle to be ready. If they would have called me and let me know it was ready earlier than promised I would have been there! Very poor business practice. I understand the used car market is very difficult right now and that is why i was being proactive and jumping on something as soon as I saw it. At noon I called to see when the vehicle would be done and was told 2 pm because i didn't stipulate when i needed the car by. What is the point of an appointment if it is not honored? I have been purchasing Toyota corollas for years and had finally convinced my mom to get one. I live in Virginia near first team Toyota (which is awesome) but my mom lives in NJ. My mom did her research online and saw some cars online at this dealership that she liked. She went here (almost an hour away) with the intent of paying cash and brought everything she would need to complete the sale. She also has a credit score anove 800 so she is an ideal customer. Unfortunately, Mike was the salesman to "help" us. He was very negative, complained continuously about he hated his old job, hated my moms home town, and his friend had gotten him a job at this dealership. He showed us one car, a basic Toyota without any of the features my mom wanted (gps, backup cam, etc). He gave us a hard time when we wanted to see other cars and kept trying to talk my mom into that crappy one. When my mom asked to see used cars because he told us that he didn't have a new one with what she wanted he was extremely rude and condescending. He would not show us any of the cars and kept saying things like "I thought you wanted to buy a car today" and "it's Saturday so I really want to get out of here". My mom had looked at the cars they had on the lot online before hand and was really disappointed she had come all that way but couldn't see them. I was really embarrassed because I had been talking about how awesome Toyota is, how great the cars are, and how their customer service is far above any one else's. Not only did they try to overcharge me $300 for a wheel bearing and hub, when another mechanic checked the issue, he discovered that they diagnosed the wrong wheel bearing entirely!! The issue was on the passenger side and they were going to replace the driver side. The people are nice but that place is a joke. When I bought my car i financed through my bank because I got a better rate. They refused to take a wire transfer from my bank and told me I had to call and have them send me a check made out to them. They were trying to get my father to sign papers that they could not fully explain why so we could understand. Especially since my father had nothing to do with me buying my car other then to give me a ride to the dealership. The process took about 3 days of me showing up thinking i was buying my car and driving it home only to be turned away without the car and when I was finally able to take it home I spent about 6 hours in the dealership. Shortly after I bought my car I discovered that when Holman serviced the car before I bought it, they never screwed the oil cap on all they way and it popped off spewing oil all over my engine and hood. If this has never happened to you it smells horrible and scared the crap out of me when my brand new car started smoking! Today I took it in for it's first oil change (according to the sticker they put in my window) and they told me that the sticker was wrong and I still had 2500 miles before my oil change. When I confirmed the appointment I asked how much it was going to cost and they said ballpark was $60-$80. When I got there today they wanted to charge me $117 FOR AN OIL CHANGE!!! They force you to pay $125 to read the diagnostic code before they work on your car. Even when I showed then the diagnostic results I ran they insisted in doing it again. Then they gave me an estimate for $1350 to replace one Catalytic converter and one oxygen sensor. Ouch. read more

Avoid. I took a car I was thinking about buying in for an inspection. I was given a long list of things that supposedly needed attention. After checking the list with two other independent mechanics I found out that half the list was entirely unnecessary "cleanings", one of which was being performed on a recently replaced part that wasn't remotely dirty. To be fair, these sorts of practices are common when dealing with dealerships. We've had similar experiences with Toyota dealerships in other states. However then we had issues with their privacy policy. Almost immediately after stopping in for that single visit with no plans on returning we were placed on a mailing list. Every week or so we're sent a new flyer advertising some new car or offering us some deal on an oil change. We contacted the customer service department via e-mail and the exchange was frustrating to say the least. In the first exchange after asking to have our name removed from the mailing list, they responded to say they'd be happy to sign us up for e-mail mailings too! Clearly taking a page from Comcast there was serious disbelief that anyone wouldn't want to be submerged in constant junk mail. It took six total e-mails in order to have someone claim to remove us from the list. End result? We're still getting junk mail at our home... and now in our e-mail boxes too. Perhaps when they're doing honest work they could provide quality services, it's too bad they're so busy trying to take advantage of new customers by trying to sell them on unneeded services and then exploiting their customers privacy to continue to try and sell to them at home. read more

Tried to use the chat feature to get more info. As is often the case with sub-standard dealerships, the person who responded was not an actual employee of Holman, but a 3rd party. As such, they cannot answer questions, instead they ask for your contact information. No thanks, you don't need my email or phone # at this stage, even if you're a dealership salesperson, let alone someone else. It's 2016, web-based transactions are nothing new. I just wanted to give everyone an update on my Toyota Saga! A very smart saleperson named Lisa Leonetti saw my story on Yelp & took the initiative to call me. She was depply apologetic for my bad experience (even though she had nothing to do with it) and offered her services to help me with a purchase! Lisa works at Holman Toyota. After looking at several choices, I agreed to purchase a showroom condition 2016 Rav4 with very low mileage. After signing the paperwork, we ran into a small hiccup which was resolved in a matter of minutes! That's what you call service!!! FYI! Lisa has been in the business for 30 plus years & she only started working for Holman within the past couple of years. Guess where she worked before??? My wife & I were also pleasantly surprised when we found out that the finance manger Nancy who use to work at another dealership, (??) is now also working at Holman. Nancy sold my wife her car in 2009 & we still have. All in all, my experience at Holman Toyota was extremely pleasant & if your looking for Service Plus, than go to Holman Toyota & let Lisa show you what service is about & Nancy will end it all with your financing!!! These guys suck! This is my third trip this week to them. The first time they had to close early because a sales guy got the VID. Yesterday, i had a noon appointment. I showed up and they told me it would be at least 3 hours to wait. This morning, i showed up for my 8:30 appointment. The 5 year battery that we bought from them 2 years and 4 months ago has failed to start my car 3 times. AAA said the battery was bad but Holman says it's good. They had the nerve to offer that they could do a "Battery Service" for me. Horrible customer service. When I first made an appointment for service I was told neither loaners nor a shuttle were available, that they would arrange for Lyft. I made an appointment and brought my car in for service. I was then told that Lyft was not an option but a shuttle and a loaner car were available. I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the service manager who stated that he would review the telephone records. NOT end of story. The next day my car was making the same abnormal sound for which I originally sought service. I made appointment to bring it in again, I was told a loaner would be available but whenI brought the car in they told me there was no record of my appointment and a loaner was not scheduled. A loaner was procured which was a GIANT pick-up truck. Needless to say I cannot get into a pick up truck or drive one safely. AND the service manager had not investigated my earlier complaint (2 weeks prior) about incorrect customer service advice. read more

Took a little bit time to get a salesperson, but it appeared everyone was busy soo used my cell phone for help. I was helped within five minutes and was test driving the vehicle I was interested in. If you do your home work before you arrive you can have I good experience. The deal is put on paper not like other dealerships I visited were you have too bring a pen and paper. Purchased a 2017 Camry from here and couldn't be happier. When I first walked in, I didn't feel pressure to buy anything and I appreciated that. Eventually, my wife and I met with Ralph the salesman. He was very friendly and courteous. He showed us the car we eventually purchased and my wife loved taking a test drive. Ralph made us aware of different payment options prior to us leaving. I was able to follow up with him a few weeks later and we decided on a purchase price. It was a certified vehicle too and only a year old. Felt like buying a new car but much less expensive. I give props to Shawn in the finance department because he informed us that we were overpaying for our car insurance and he hooked us up with much better coverage for a lower price. There was an oversight with the certified vehicle coverage but Mark the manager rectified the situation on my first call to him.
