Our first priority was a new TV and a new receiver and getting confirmation this team could do the work. Well, they can and not only can they do most anything you need, they do it with patience, lots of grace, a sense of humor, total dedication to perfection and without ripping you off. Once you start talking to the people who work here you will find that most of them have been there for over a decade and some of them have been there almost two decades and that's because they love what they do and it shows in every aspect of this process. We had an initial consultation which they credit back to you if you have the work done and then we made our choices with tons of guidance based on our budget and needs. The team came on the day of install and they were clean, professional, knowledgeable and just plain good guys. We had one little hiccup after they left and they immediately came back and fixed it. We started with Quincy in the store to pick out the TV and eventually started working with Alex for the entire set up and he sticks with you through everything until the very end, even follow ups. He's easy to get a hold of and responds directly. Lloyd came to do the once over for install and the guys who came to do the work were Desmond and Alan. I really can't recommend them enough and they made what we thought was going to be a difficult and hard experience something that we quite enjoyed and we are super happy with the end result. Here's hoping it lasts at least another ten years!

I came in as someone just getting into the high end audio market, surrounded by gear I could only dream about, and Spencer never once made me feel unwelcome or out of place. I've visited other stores where you can feel judged the moment you walk in based on your wallet size. That was never the case here. As someone around my age with the same passion for amazing sound without millionaire budgets, he got it immediately. He worked with me from start to finish, helping me build a system that punches well above its price point. The result was a carefully curated blend of tubes and solid state that created a synergy I didn't fully appreciate until I heard it all together. He helped me select my Paradigm Persona 5F speakers, Audio Research LS27 preamp, Parasound A21+, AudioQuest Niagara 3000, and interconnects. Each brand chosen with intention, Paradigm out of Toronto, Parasound originally based right here in San Francisco, Audio Research from Minnesota, and AudioQuest from Irvine CA. Respected names with solid reputations in the audiophile community that fit my budget without compromising on quality. Any system I was curious about I was able to audition without any pressure or hesitation. That kind of access says a lot about how they treat customers. And it doesn't stop at the sale. They helped with three moves of my audio gear, something regular movers simply are not equipped to handle with equipment this precious. They also helped connect my system which is a level of service you just don't expect from a retailer. That kind of relationship goes well beyond a transaction. The store itself is filled with incredible gear across some of the most coveted lines in the industry. McIntosh, Audio Research, Boulder, Anthem, dCS, and speakers from Paradigm, KEF, Wilson, Sonus Faber, and more. They also specialize in home theater if that's your thing. Just be warned, every visit is a little dangerous to the wallet. And don't overlook their preowned section either, it's where real bargains hide. That's how I picked up my Audio Research preamp for half its original price. This place is a "Music Lovers" dream whether you are just starting out or building your end game system. I went in knowing exactly what I needed and how I planned to pay (using my own credit card, not applying for Best Buy financing). I was approached by an associate in the appliance section, but the interaction felt very transactional from the start. Having worked at Best Buy myself about 6-8 years ago -- in both the computer and gaming departments -- I remember how important it was to greet customers, acknowledge them, and walk them through their purchase. Unfortunately, that level of service was missing here. The associate rang me up, but there was no effort to ask if I had questions, no explanation of warranty options, no product details, and no guidance on protection plans, delivery, or installation. It was simply "ring up the sale" and move on. I didn't even receive a basic "thank you for shopping with us." I had to drive the conversation myself -- asking about delivery timing, installation process, and associated costs. When I got home, I noticed two different numbers on my receipt versus my order confirmation, and it appeared online that installation had been waived, while my paperwork suggested otherwise. Because of the confusion, I had to return to the store to clarify. After speaking with the same associate and another employee, it turned out I was reviewing the wrong document -- installation had in fact been waived. While I'm glad it was resolved, this confusion could have been avoided entirely with clearer communication at checkout. Even when customers come in prepared and ready to buy, customer service still matters. Walking through key details, confirming charges, and showing appreciation for the purchase goes a long way. This experience felt rushed and disengaged, and it honestly came across as the associate not wanting to provide more information than what was printed on the tag. For a major home purchase, I expected a higher level of service.

This has happened many times. Buzzed the Ring Camera button, called the business phone left voice mail, called/texted cell phone with no replies. Very frustrating, unprofessional when a business does not respect a scheduled appointment nor gives you a simple notice that they won't be open for business on the day of your appointment. I guess time to cut ties after 25+ years doing business here due to new owner negligence and disrespect and broken communication. It is very sad to see a once successful business go to ruins with very bad customer service. If I could give zero stars I would. Need to find a new place to finish what this place has not completely finished. Long story short. What was suppose to be an estimated 2-3 week double din to single din stereo swap with new dashboard and bezels turned to be a more than 5 months car being held hostage and stripped apart with no eta when it will be done turned into nightmare and endless lies and whole new other unwanted project. Claim all the the previous wiring and work was not good and it was all done here the past 15+ years of ownership and not under lifetime warranty like it is suppose to since new ownership. Smh so many other issues here too many to list. Wanted to make a timeline but will require like 5 pages to write out. Time to find better, honest service that is reliable and communicative without giving the run arounds that gives approximate deadlines, not store your car untouched for half a year and still not done!
