    I own a small auto body shop in south Fremont. We've been at the same location for over 44 years so as you can imagine there's some things around here that need addressing the chiefest among them being a long overdue upgrade to meet the needs of our InfraTech 9000 watt / 240-volt heat lamps that we heavily rely upon during the winter. We hired SY Electric to move the existing outlets that powered the lamps to a more accessible location giving us at least 10 more usable feet on their extension cords and upgraded their plugs from your typical 4-pronged Nema whatever male-end style plugs to a twist lock design that's safer for us to use. Chris came in, took the measurements he needed and bent the conduit pipes manually before running the wire. The lamps were back up and running by the end of the day and the work looked clean and finished. The lamps were always a major frustration in the shop and a huge safety concern, and I couldn't be happier with the end result. Since then, we've had SY back in the building for everything from solving flickering lights, wiring up emergency EXIT signs, adding outlets as more of our tool became battery powered, and powering a half ton electric hoist we use to lift truck beds off their frame rails for repairs. It's nice if you know how to handle small electrical issues or have an uncle or a nephew that can do that sort of handy man thing, but when your life and your employees lives are at risk and when you're storing a diverse mix of about dozen customer vehicles simultaneously that can range from a typical Camry to a Lamborghini it's a good idea not to go to your guy simply because they can "do it cheaper" it's a better idea to turn to the professionals like SY who actually know how to fix your sh*t.     Bay Alarm installation and product review…read more Last month I replaced my old security system and monitoring company. I replaced it with a security system from Bay Alarm Company. I waited for a month before writing this review because I wanted to use the system and all of it's feature, which I have done. Below is my assessment. Sales staff and Installation staff: 1. The information provided by the sales representative was easy to follow and accurate. The sales rep was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. Kudos to Tony Basurto, the sales rep and Nina Johnson, the field rep in charge of scheduling, for making my transition from the old system to the new one seamless and easy. 2. The contract is standard. Be sure to read it particularly the warranty, service, and payment language. I was ok with the contract language overall. The company requires autopay which means that they automatically bill your account on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. You choose which cycle you prefer. Also, monitoring service is billed in advance and it is much pricier than other monitoring services. Similar to other monitoring services you are locked in the contract for a select number of years. 3. The installation process was somewhat lengthy, but for a good reason. The installation team wanted to make sure that the newly installed system worked properly. Going from one system to another is not an easy job, but the team that came out did an outstanding job. There were a few hiccups that they easily resolved. Kudos to the installation team (Ricky and IT guy) for their patience with us and doing a thorough job. 4. We received a follow-up phone call from the supervisor(Seth) that we missed. Seth left a message for us to call him if we had questions about the system, or needed additional help. That was a very nice touch from the company. Security System: 1. The new system is quite easy to use and though limited, I like the features that are available. In terms of security and peace of mind that it offers, I have no complaints. I do have a few observations having used the system for a month. Those, I will discuss with the company. I do not think that it is appropriate to note them here. 2. The documentation for the system needs to be updated. I was disappointed that it did not directly correspond with the system. Some options that I tried to use or access based on the documentation did not work out as outlined in the documentation. 3. The system interface is basic. I guess that translate into easy to use. The system works great and does what it is intended to do. However, I personally think that a security system's interface can be more aesthetic, functional, and still be easy to use. I have to confess that I want it all; functionality, ease of use, whistles and bells, and visually pleasing interface. I have seen systems that meet this standard, but I did not care for the service ethics of those companies. I must also confess that the service ethics of a company trumps whistles and bells for me. And, so far Bay Alarm company's service ethics have been stellar. Billing: 1. I received the first monitoring bill last month. I had a problem that was immediately remedied. In Bay Alarms's defense, the problem was me. However, Bay Alarm resolved the issue. I would highly recommend going with this company if you need a new security system, or you plan to change your existing system. Just note that the monitoring service is higher than other companies. And, you must be clear on your expectation and realistic about what the company can provide.

    We have a Bay Alarm system that was installed by the previous owners. We purchased the home 7 years…read moreago. We had our windows replaced and the installers saved the alarm sensors and pulled the wires through the window frames. Bay Alarm wanted over $1,000 to reconnect the sensors. I told them over and over this was not a new install and the wires are already pulled through, they offered me 1/2 off to sign a year long contract. After the installation, several of our hard wired windows were switched to wireless sensors because the "wires were too short". When the technicians left, we couldn't arm the system due to a fault in the garage door. I called Bay Alarm and had to wait another week for someone else to come out and repair that issue, I asked that technician why some hardwired sensors were switched to wireless and he didn't think the wires were too short. A couple weeks ago I received a text there was a problem with our radio signal on our alarm system. I called, as the text instructed me to, and they quoted me $150 to come fix the issue with their equipment which I pay a monthly fee to use. Ridiculous. I asked to speak to a manager, who walked me through how to run a test and it was working again so the service call was avoided, for now. I got a survey asking about my experience and the branch manager (Zachary) emailed me to set up a time to talk. I replied, that was a week ago-no call or reply. If Bay Alarm wasn't already installed in our home we wouldn't use their service.

It is with awe struck tears flowing down my face that I am writing this review! I am a born again Christian who prays about everything. I am, also, a widow who depends upon Jesus for my every need. A year ago my alarm system of 20 years stared giving me issues. The alarm company I use said it was time for a new system. I ordered the one that they recommended and they installed it. Recently I began having issues with one of my sensors. I changed the battery as instructed. A week later, that same sensor started setting off my alarm at all hours of the day and night. I called my alarm company and was told that it would cost me a good amount of money to have them run a diagnostic and fix it; but that it would be money well spent or I could discontinue to use their services. I was shocked and heartbroken. I felt abandoned. I tried calling three different times over a course of about ten days. I just wanted to ask them if they thought I might be able to order a new sensor and change it myself or if they thought it was a faulty system that I should return to Amazon. My calls have still not been returned. So Thursday night I took this problem to Jesus in prayer. He led me to google "Christian Family Owned Alarm Companies in Antioch". I didn't even know there was such a thing. However, when I plugged that in, Freedom Alarm Company popped up. The reviews were amazing! On Friday I called Freedom Alarm Company to get a quote from them . I was pleasantly surprised that within moments James called me back. He patiently listened to my story, was so kind and friendly, asked me questions about my system, had me send him pictures, and then said, "I have been in this business for 26 years. and I am not familiar with this system. Let me just come and take a look at it and see what we can do. If its an easy fix, we'll just take care of it for you." We scheduled for him to come the next morning, which is now Saturday. He arrived on time, looked at my panel, looked at the sensor, and within moments, he had figured out the problem and explained it to me. He decided to put another set of new batteries in, and fixed the sensor case using tape on the inside to give it a snugger fit. He, also, spotted the loose sensor on my sliding door and quickly did the same. As I reached for my purse to pay him, He said, "No, I am not taking any money. This took me no time at all. It was an easy fix." I tried to insist. I said, "Let me pay you for your time. This is Saturday. You took the time to come and I am not even a paying customer of yours. You spent your gas to get here." He looked at me kindly but firmly and said, "I am not billing you for this. I do not want your money. I do not need your money." That is when the tears started. I knew in that moment that one more time in my life Jesus had indeed shown Himself strong on my behalf over this challenging situation when He led me to FREEDOM ALARM. I asked if I could at least pray with Him. I prayed a blessing over this man's life. Then I asked him, "What makes you do this? Why are you so kind?" He answered with joy and a smile on HIs face, "I lost my dad several years ago. My mom is alone. I try and treat people the way I want to be treated...the way I want people to treat my mom." As I shut the door after him I couldn't stop crying. I thought, 'Was that an angel in disguise?' However, I then remembered all of the amazing reviews I had read, so I know James is a real human being. He just happens to be an extraordinary man with a huge heart; and God uses Him in extraordinary ways to be a blessing to the world around Him. Moving forward I will be highly recommending Freedom Alarm to everyone looking for an alarm company or anyone who has any alarm repair needs. When the time comes for me to get another alarm, I will be reaching out to Freedom Alarm. I read how James would show up at the house when an alarm was tripped and that he always carries. I said THAT is the man I want- someone who stands behind his business and brave! Also one of my close friends who I trust her opinion highly had recommended James as a business and personally knows him and gave high praises for his integrity and as a person! So I was feeling good about my choice and he followed through! I like that he was willing to help anytime you need him to just call him! I believe in layers of security for my house. He thinks a lot like I do and he will best tell you what is best for your particular house and situation which is great. Took a lot of work, but I feel better that it is done. I like the night vision with the alarms and the very clear pictures. I had other cameras before which can be grainy or blurry but these pictures are very clear. I like the panoramic views too which cover a lot. Better to have someone local as your alarm company as well and have a relationship with the local police. Very professional and one of the good guys! He goes above and beyond which is my criteria in giving 5 stars to the best! I liked how he also cleaned up all my other wires, cleaned up after himself, made it look pleasing to the eye, etc. Nice assistant as well and very polite. So, a solidly good company with lots of integrity which is so important in the security field and in today's world. I support local businesses and this is one I would stand behind especially for something so important as your family's security! Did a phenomenal job!

I am so glad I finally reached out to through Yelp to find someone who can resolve my issue, and it was Fernando at Bay Radio! From the start, they were incredibly responsive through Yelp and worked around my busy schedule with total flexibility. When I arrived, there was no wait--they checked me in immediately, and parking right in front of the store was a huge plus. The turnaround time for my car was also quicker than expected. It's been a couple weeks and my issue is resolved completely. What really blew me away was their transparency. Their diagnosis fee was the best I found, and they were upfront about every cost so there were no surprises. They also took photos of what they found and explained the fix to me in simple terms so I understood exactly what I was paying for. The service was speedy, and they fixed the issue perfectly at a better rate than anywhere else. If you're looking for an honest, fast, and professional team, this is the place to go!
