Slightly hidden off of Colorado Blvd, Home Brewed Bar is a quaint coffee and pastry shop with a cozy atmosphere. The inside is small, with some seating and a few board games spread around to play. The menu includes the option of free substitution for lactose free milk. There are also premade food options as well. I ordered the Spinach cheese croissant and the Pain au chocolate croissant. Both were very flaky with sparse filling. Overall, would recommend Home Brewed Bar more for the coffee than the pastries!

What a quaint modern cottage-like cafe somewhat hidden and very unique. It's slightly overpriced for my taste (most specialty regular sized lattes are over $8), but if you want to treat yourself you should prance over or drive...if you snag nearby 2 hour street parking. As for the coffee they have plenty of options ranging from popcorn matcha to coffee with boba! I ordered a hot rose latte and it was delicious. Order at the counter or using the electronic kiosk. Just know that it's a small place, if you lucky out with a table and chair then enjoy. Otherwise, you may need to take it to go. Enjoy!

Been awhile and we were in the areas so we had to drop by. Just perusing the goodies and ordered a Sweet n Salty PB Latte. Man, still good. So good lol. They got that savory and sweet combo locked down. Thank you!

This coffee spot has many unique and tasty coffee drinks. Some are a too sweet for my liking, but I enjoy that it's different from other coffee shops. The times I've visited the baristas have been able to answer my questions regarding dairy which I appreciate.

Love that it's off the main road so quieter and loads of free street parking. Cute and small inside but there's also seats outside. So many drinks and seasonal lattes. + Regular pistachio cold brew latte ($7.90): super pricy, but I enjoyed the pistachio flavor, more nutty than syrupy! And bit more milky than other shaken espressos I've had but so yum (8/10)

Home Brewed Bar had been one of my favorite spots for tea or coffee for the past decade plus. When I worked in old town Pasadena, I used to frequent their previous location, which was closer to my office. It wasn't the closest place to grab a cup of tea or coffee, but I always felt like it was worth the walk. They have extremely creative and premium drinks with innovative flavors. Service is very strong. They offer great suggestions. I am very happy that their standard base for milk tease is non-dairy, something I usually end up paying extra for. Their new location has easier parking and is a very cute building with a courtyard. I recently met a friend there, but we were on limited work breaks, and I was so distracted that I forgot to take a photo of my pistachio latte. I really enjoyed it. This is one of the tea shops in town that I will continue to frequent.

Super cute cafe, there is seating outside and inside. There are tea options along with coffee options. I got the Strawberry Jasmine 75% sweet, it is alright overall. Not the best tea I have had but not the worst. I think if you like things more sweet, definitely get it more sweet. They also have food options, I personally did not try them. As for parking there is street parking right in front but if not, there is a parking structure not too far that is 1.5 per 30 mins with a $12 max rate.

One of my favorite hole in the wall coffee and tea spots. Lots of different coffees, espresso based drinks plus a variety of hot and cold teas plus matcha! They have a peanut butter latte to die for! Super friendly service and chill atmosphere plus pastries and sandwiches. Indoor and outdoor seating free WiFi

(+) Matcha MT (+) Vanilla Toddy latte Home brewed bar is a tea/coffee shop that brews each drink carefully and super fresh. The shop is inviting and there are plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy a drink with good company. They do offer freshly baked pastries and other goodies, that I have yet to try. Drinks: I've been here a few times and enjoyed my visit each time. The drinks I have tried are the matcha latte and vanilla toddy latte. The matcha taste is bold and not too sweet. I would say it is one of my favorites, as their matcha is done well. The vanilla latte is basic, in a good way. I enjoyed each sip! The fresh coffee taste does the trick. They are known for their milk teas as well, which I will try next time. Service/Ambiance: The service is solid. My drinks were made in 5-10 minutes, which did not feel like a long time. The first time I went, it wasn't busy, but the second time I went, all of the indoor tables were occupied. This shop is great for catching up with friend(s) and very welcoming. Overall, with all the coffee shops in Pasadena, I would recommend Home Brew Bar for their variety on the menu and fresh tasting drinks. They do an excellent job and create drinks that will tickle your taste buds.

I used to go to their old location, and I was told that they have moved to this new place since 2 years ago. I could not thinking about the tasty drink I used to have, and decided to stop by. It is located on a small street that is pretty quiet. I was able to find street parking easily. Decorations were modern, warm, cozy, and welcoming. There was a line when I came in at 3pm on a weekday. Baristas were busy serving. The drink took a while to prepare as they were a bit busy. We ordered pistachio matcha latte and ube white chocolate. The pistachio matcha latte is on the lighter side, especially the flavor of pistachio. The white ube white chocolate was wonderful, but it is on the sweeter side. I like the ube while chocolate much better. Will come by again.

I was at Jackalope Fair and this was in the vicinity. I had no plans of coming here, but I was already there and it was a hot day. I had the matcha pistachio. The overall drink was okay. It was lacking pistachio flavor. I know it was there, but it was definitely on the light side. There is indoor and outdoor seating available, but can be busy.

This place is super cute. Hidden on Madison Ave. You can find a good amount of street parking. Came here on a Sunday with my dog, yes they're dog friendly! I've been wanting to finally try this place and finally this stamped off my Pasadena Coffee Passport. Ordered: - Iced Dirty Horchata - Jalapeño Cheese Croissant - Chocolate Chip Scone I really enjoyed the Horchata & the croissant, the scone was alright to be honest. The staff was very nice and the place itself was very cute & clean place to hangout at.

A hidden little gem! I am so glad to have come across this adorable place! The inside of the shop is quite small with just a handful of tables, but there is more seating right outside. I ordered the Pistachio Matcha. The matcha was well mixed and frothy, the pistachio flavor wasn't very strong but that's probably because I got it with 50% less sweet. Next time, I am going to order it regular to compare, but I really enjoyed my drink! My friend got the peach mango tea and she said it was also a 10/10. Not overly sweet and really refreshing. Last thing I'll shout out is the service. The barista who helped me I could tell was putting so much genuine care into the drinks he was making. He checked in with all his customers to make sure we didn't want anything adjusted to our drinks. I will certainly be coming back!

They serve breakfast, pastries, coffee and tea (hot/cold) drinks. Their coffee bar is centrally positioned that offers a 360 degree view of the lobby. Staff was affable and competent. Prices are fair. Offers free wifi and street parking. What captivating for me was their interior design because it kinda reflected that of your own living room with flat screen tv, bookshelves, bar stool, love chair, sofa and a coffee table. It's small and cozy, but that just adds to the charm and creates this intimate, relaxing vibe. Highlights Great public parking behind the shop. The service is fantastic and the two guys that I met were genuinely friendly and makes you feel welcome right away. The shop has a sign saying no laptops inside, and honestly, I loved it. It turns the place into a true social space where people actually talk to each other instead of staring at screens. The seating is thoughtfully arranged facing the windows, so beautiful natural sunlight pours in and gives everything such a warm, uplifting feel. They make their own oat milk in-house, and it makes such a difference our drinks tasted absolutely delicious, rich and smooth. The whole place just has great vibes all around.

The crisp taste of well-brewed coffee and chai is refreshing. (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment. Also, this is a "Laptop Free Establishment." They have no available electrical outlets and no customer internet.) I arrived at Two Kids (South Pasadena) on Tuesday (around 12:28PM). Parking is free and available. Two Kids (South Pasadena) is located across from South Pasadena City Hall. There's a competitive, free lot in the rear; it's a "4 Hour Parking Limit." Also, there's available, competitive free street parking. Staff is very mellow, professional, and respectful. Staff politely answered all my questions, and Staff felt very low stress. This location is surprisingly popular, and Staff easily breaks into friendly conversation. My drink took about three minutes. As mentioned, I ordered the Espresso w/ Milk & Chai ($6.75 - Iced). The drink is very underwhelming, but it's 1000% better than any chain coffee joint. The Espresso w/ Milk & Chai had a light enduring caffeine, and its flavor is very basic and simple. I would not drive a long distance for these drinks, but if I lived in the immediate area, this business is an easy spot to incorporate into a daily routine. It's affordable and good enough. On ambiance, Two Kids (South Pasadena) happily embraces its "just good enough" features. It lacks many basic amenities; there's no restroom, no customer internet, and no electrical outlets. They proudly have MANY little signs proclaiming how it's a "laptop free establishment." The location is also small; there's about two counter tables and three tiny stool tables. However, Two Kids (South Pasadena) is comfortable. I especially appreciated the air purifier and the strong ventilation. The place felt airy and refreshing. Also, the stereo system is very clear and with chill music. They even had one tiny bottle of hand sanitizer by the counter. It's also very animal friendly since I saw customers walk inside with their dogs on the leash. Overall, Two Kids (South Pasadena) feels built to serve the local community. It's not an impressive spot, but there's glimpses of passion for locals. If you live nearby Two Kids (South Pasadena), I recommend. It's not bad at all. 4.3 out of 5

I once asked the owner about it and he claimed that they do in fact give out items, and said he would check on it that night when I told him the situation. Piccadilly Grace not only doesn't skip a beat with curating their dishes, but they add some incredible touches that make everything so wonderful! These are some of the tastiest most wonderful salads I've ever had & you can't go wrong with ANY of them, but my current favorite is the Asian Crunch Salad! I just add avocado. It comes with a side of delicious bread pieces, which is a nice touch, but it's also really nice that they ask if you'd like it. I hate wasting food, so it's great that they ask. Speaking of their dishes, literally they have the cutest dishes too, as in ceramic dishes that again besides what's in the dishes, it adds to the visual appeal and it makes my experience so warm and welcoming. I should also mention that I've tried their wraps and sandwiches, they're amazing. The turkey chili - GET IT! So good and doesn't taste like turkey at all but it's not super greasy like beef chili. Back to the ambiance...there is no indoor seating here. All seating is in their surrounding patio and it is adorable and enjoyable. Wooden two-person or group tables and with single seat chairs. Umbrellas cover most of them and give shade. But on a hot summer day, with the sun beating, it could get a little uncomfortable if you're there too long at about 2pm. I've been there a few times on a Friday afternoon, and they have had a vocalist, pianist & saxophone player playing some cover songs and they are good! Makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I'm not someone who enjoys sweet drinks, but I can speak to their delicious brewed black iced tea. Perfection every time. Parking is easily found on the surrounding streets, close by and you can even score some shade if you're lucky to park under a tree. Last, but not least, the staff are really friendly, helpful and give great customer service and table side service. I am a huge fan of Piccadilly Grace, and I'll even drive in traffic when I'm specifically craving something from there and nothing else can substitute!

ONLY ABOUT THE MATCHA…read more I want to start by saying that after looking at other reviews, this place is probably better known for its food. However, I only tried the strawberry matcha, so this rating is based mainly on that. VIBE: The spot itself is pretty cute. It's small inside but has a lot of character, and the outdoor seating is great. It feels like a nice place to meet up and catch up with friends. Street parking is decent for a busy downtown area, though it could be better. STRAWBERRY MATCHA: Honestly, if this review were based on the matcha alone, it would probably be a 1-2 star rating. I could barely taste the matcha, and based on the color, it didn't seem like high quality. The strawberry portion was just okay, but at $11.50 (per the Yelp menu), it's way overpriced. Even $7 would feel like too much, especially considering how many better matcha spots are out there. I would strongly recommend skipping the matcha here but like I said that one's on me.
