Found Home Clean Home SD though their Groupon deal for 4 hours of cleaning as I needed my place cleaned up before Mothers Day. They were booked up but was able to squeeze in an appointment last minute. The team was on time and three of them did a wonderful job with the common areas and two bedrooms within 1.5 hours. I used them for their deep cleaning services. I'm not home often to be able to do this. My kitchen floor was very dirty. When I got home my floor wasn't touched, the rug was over the balcony wall and sinks and counters were clean so they were in there. I spent the next hour scrubbing my floor after paying $245.00. I was very upset. I still haven't been able to find my cereal bowls and my measuring cup and mugs were with my pots and pans. After seeing the rest of my home they did a really great job. The one thing I don't like is where they put things. It took a week to find my necklace, shower gel, and lotion. Still haven't found my cereal bowls. They moved my lamp in the living room. Was very frustrating to see that the cleaners were in a rush to leave. They did not clean window seals properly and did the bare minimum with the stove and oven. I was upset that I paid an extra $35 to have that appliance cleaned and it wasnt. Bad communication. I asked a cleaner if they had moved the stove to clean behind it and she said yes. I pulled it out and it was untouched. When I spoke to the guy Phil he said they ran out of time that's why it wasnt done. Which is upsetting because I am paying for the service. I am handicapped right now. Due to this I purchased a home cleaning. I have difficulty getting around. The company said they came and waited a period of time (not true and documented). They said they would have called but they didn't have my number. I was outside waiting the whole time until I need to use restroom. When I got a hold of the manager/owner he stated it was my fault I didn't answer the door quick enough (DUE ) to my disability! He went on arguing with me and then cancelled the whole cleaning. A list of things the cleaners didn't do-dust the living room, vacuum the hall or straighten the rug, wipe down the mirrors in the bathroom or bedroom, make the bed, vacuum/sweep my room. They did a okay job on the kitchen and bathrooms, but besides those areas, it looked like they hadn't even cleaned the house. I wish I could post pictures of the poor job that they did. And to top it off I contacted the manager and he was all apologetic and wanted to make it right, he said he would send someone to clean the rest of my house. Phil was the first contact person I dealt with for scheduling and he was always very responsive to questions. The last two cleanings I've been in contact with Linette who is not responsive. The last cleaning appointment I had requested for the window blinds to be dusted and paid the additional $60. The blinds were dusted, however, the furniture was not and the tile floors and bathroom tiles were not entirely cleaned. They did a great job with the first two appointments only and after that they left the house not very clean. Very unfortunate, bad experience yesterday. It was not all bad, so I will also share the good parts. I used a Living Social coupon for 4 man hours. It said it would do the home of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, which means you need experienced efficient cleaners. Martha and her teenage daughter (Jessica?) arrived promptly at 9 am. Martha spoke English well, was friendly and polite. Her daughter was quiet and spoke little English. We toured the house, and I pointed out a few small details. I opted to only do 2 bedrooms, the 2 1/2 baths and said to leave the dining room until the end in case they were short on time. In my mind, I was opting for a more thorough job on a smaller scale. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, Martha, in the kitchen was still unfinished and Jessica was still on the first bathroom. I pointed out that there was more than half left to do and only 45 minutes left. The pace definitely picked up, but in the end, one bathroom was left untouched, so was the dining room. The upstairs, with mom's help, was vacuumed and swept, not everything was dusted, but most was. The stairs were vacuumed and I was told that cleaning the fingerprints from the banister was 'deep cleaning'. Oh well! Of the downstairs hardwood, only the kitchen was mopped. The livingroom got a 5 minute cleaning - still pretty dirty. And of course the dining room was skipped. They did stay an extra 45 minutes to accomplish what they did and I was grateful for that. They were about to leave and I had a $20 bill in my pocket ready to tip when Martha suggested I go upstairs to 'check'. That's when everything went south. Before the cleaners came, I hung my turquoise necklace on a hook in my bathroom. I wear it almost every day. It was gone!! There was no explanation other than the obvious! I concealed my anger and as calmly as possible said that my turquoise necklace was missing. I requested that they say nothing. If the necklace was returned, i would say nothing to the boss, Yelp or the police. To please take a moment to think about it. No. Immediately they both were loudly and vehemently denying. I told the daughter that now she couldn't ever wear it in front of her mother. Martha was adamant that she knew her daughter and she had not taken it. I countered that she couldn't 'know'. She called Phillip, the boss, and they spoke at length in Spanish. She said she was going to wait at the front door for the police. I tried to explain that SD non-emergency can take forever and that it made no sense to wait. They insisted on staying. I texted Phillip to call me and he did after a few minutes. First, he informed me that the call was being recorded. Fine with me. I went over what had happened and he kept repeating that he knew these people well and knew they couldn't have taken anything. And i said what I knew. Then he ssid he would csll the police and without warning, hung up on me. Having had a bad experience with the non-emergency line (ie waiting almost 2 hours on hold, then being just led down a rabbit hole), I was quite happy to have him call the police. At that point, I knew I'd never get the necklace back anyway. I do hold out the tiniest bit of hope that I will find it in some bush in my yard. This was a gift, so I do not know the value of it. It is 18" with small identical dark real turquoise beads. Not very ostentatious and probably not that valuable. I do not wish to imply that if you hire this company you will be stolen from. The odds are the same as with any other company. I believe this is a case of a teenager making an impulsive, stupid, regrettable mistake. I have written this to show the company response and as a cautionary tale. It is also pertinent that these cleaners were not experienced nor efficient. Hired Orieta, Mary and Korey with Home Clean Home SD on short notice after my appointment with another company no call no showed the day before. The ladies were wonderful. I was running late because of traffic and having to push my previously scheduled appointments back from the inconvenience of the no call no show. The ladies were accommodating with my tardiness. They did a great job with the time remaining. Having a team of three made the job go faster. My only issue would be that they were on such a tight schedule and the manager Luis kept calling them individually asking for an ETA on when they will be done which prevented them from working frequently. I was told when I booked the appointment if I needed them for longer than the 1.5 hrs. I would be able to have them stay but based on the constant calls asking for updates it does not seem like this would have been possible. There was also a language barrier as only one of the ladies spoke English and was able to translate our dialogue to the other two. Outside of that, I would use them again. read more

Hired to come out for a move out clean. At first, 2 people were scheduled to come for a total of 1.5 hrs. Last minute, one of the workers had quit same day so it was only one lady by herself. I reviewed everything that I wanted to be cleaned prior to her starting. She did a great job cleaning the blinds, oven, refrigerator, base boards, washer/dryer, bathrooms and windows. BUT, the kitchen was still a mess (counters, sink had water stains, outside of appliance still dirty, grease splashes on cabinets). The cabinets were not wiped down, the inside of the cabinets were not cleaned, under the sink was still a mess. There were still crumbs on the ground in the kitchen. I paid extra for her to stay a little longer, but I don't think it helped much. At first I thought she did a good job, but coming back later on a different day I noticed what was not done. I spent an additional 3 hours cleaning on top hiring them for 3.5 hrs. I probably could of just done it all myself without spending the money. read more
