Mick is not only a lifesaver but a very informative repairman. We live in a modular unit and our circular air is a pretty old unit. We did not anticipate the unit to go out, as we didn't have any issues prior other than it turned on all by itself one day and we couldn't turn it off without forcing the blower off directly. Thinking nothing of it. Mick came over within the same day to double check our unit and to our findings, it looked like we needed to replace the entire thing, which was going to cost at least 8,000.00 Mick knows everyone's situation in these parks and living on social security he is very aware of that cost and anxiety. While we were organizing to get a portable AC unit to hold us all for the summer to figure out finances. Mick reached out the following week and to our surprise Mick what's starting to debate? The comment we made about how it turned out all by itself, and we smelt a funny smell, but got the unit to turn off. Mick not only took the extra time and extra brain power to connect the dots that our unit It's electrical connection unit needed a second look. Come to find the unit was soldered and burned and completely melted through. It was a long shot, but if he could find the part, this would be a minimal cost compared to 8,000.00. Mick returned within the next week and lo and behold. He had the part. He attached it and the unit came on directly, and the AC has been blowing ice cold anytime we've turned it since. Holy crap these guys are good!! I've been having issues with my A/C for the last two years. Called these guys up and they showed within one day, crawled all over my home, remapped the entire duct work, found recall items on my system, replaced the motor, and cleaned the vents all in an hour and a half! Absolutely blown away at their knowledge, professionalism, and they are extremely trustworthy. I never got upsold or told that I needed to buy things. I would like to thank Mick once again for a fantastic experience to resolve my AC system as always. I replaced my AC unit 1 year ago, simply to get a higher efficient model. My AC unit has worked perfectly over that time. Mick was able to pair the new AC to my existing furnace and evap coil not selling me anything not required. Fast fwd to this year, my 24 year evap coil and 15 year furnace failed, with my 1 year AC not turning on. I called Mick, who always returns calls immediately which I appreciate so much. Mick came over 2 days later on Saturday to get an initial check to see if it was something simple. He sent this team on Monday to fully diagnose the problem; confirming the coil and furnace replacement need. AC not turning on was a safety feature to avoid damage that could result due to loss of refridgerant. Mick offered me an absolute great price and install was done on Wednesday 2 days later; now working flawlessly again. MIck even installed a new thermostat that I bought on Amazon as part of the service. in closing, i cannot thank Mick enough. Our heater was not working. Mick squeezed us in early Saturday morning and his team out on Wednesday. I liked that he asked so many questions about our heater and the house itself. Let's just say that if Yelp allowed me to give more than 5 stars, I certainly would! Mick's Heating & Air is by far worth 10 stars!! Our whole system went out and we had been managing without air for about 3 weeks. We had got a few other quotes but Mick's was by far the most reasonable. He was able to some out see the problem and schedule us in for the same week. Our house was getting up to 86 degree and with our pets we just couldn't keep the house that hot so Mick's being able to come quickly was really above and beyond in the customer services department. They were professional and friendly and got the job done quickly and correctly. Mick ensured he reviewed all the details of our new unit and how to ensure that our unit would last. ( I guess I could have waited for it to die during a heat wave and have to wait for a busy A/C company to repair or replace it). He was professional, straight forward and very nice. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Installation only took a little over half a day. New A/C, and air ducts. Mick and his son Danny just completed the removal and installation of a new HVAC system in an old house in Orange built in 1956. Initially we were only going to replace the furnace/heater since there was no AC. They were really patient with my mom and explained everything to her and she agreed to get the AC installed at the same time, as it would be a savings in the long run. Thankfully the ducts were in good shape. Even though they had to cut a new major hole in our hallway ceiling, it looks great. They also upgraded the electrical system. Noticed that Mick's company was on Bryant's web site as preferred HVAC contractor. I called and Mickey returned call and we talked. I had already talked to 4 other contractors, met with two at the house, discussed options, never called back even after I reminded them with calls. One large local HVAC gave me a quote that was outrageous included a large crane they had to rent. Obviously, this company didn't think out of the box ..easy way out. Mickey came over and we discussed the unusual install.  Lifting a heavy unit (see pics) 10ft high on a sloped car port, 4 men carrying it to centre of the flat roof of a 100 year old house. But Mickey and his team thought out of the box to find a successful solution. Not your normal installation, but Mickey and his team completed this install where others rejected it or too hard for them or lazy. For starters Mick made the original visit himself, checked out the house and existing duct layout, and gave us a quote. At that time there was a concern because our existing return air ducts were not large enough to provide the needed airflow for the new system, so Mick and his entire team came out a few days before the install date to look in detail at the situation and figure out what the alternatives could be, thus solving the problem well in advance leaving the install date free to focus on the install itself. I called today out of concern that my home warranty was not replacing my existing AC unit with one that is of the same quality. Mickey, returned my call and spent 20 minutes on the phone with me gathering information. Apparently, we are not getting as good of a unit as we had. However, Mickey stated that, when taking everything into consideration the warranty was offering us a good deal. Mickey chose to be honest knowing that it would not financially benefit him at all. I explained to him the problem I was having with my AC unit and since I was close by to where he was at, him and his team came by within a few minutes and fixed the problem quickly. I have never thought of changing the AC filter and I've had my unit for about 3 years. They just earned a new customer for future problems and I learned something new too to keep my AC running efficiently.
