Dogs before humans..stopped off the trail for breakfast ...didn't mind the wait ...didn't mind initially sitting in the sun ...but when a table in the shade comes open and you're told you can't move because it's another servers area and policy won't allow it ...meanwhile the dog table has TWO umbrellas and our promised umbrella somehow never arrived ...I've never seen a dog pay a check or write a review ...have you? What a great find! It doesn't look like much from the road (so you might miss it), but the backyard patio is outstanding! It backs up to the Pinellas Trail and has a park-like setting. The seating has a mix of sun and shade. The service was on point - they seem to work as a team and help each other out. They even brought a water bowl for my dog. The food is really good - maybe not gourmet but well above average. The menu seems to change from time to time so there's good variety. I'll be back. Nicely done! read more

We love going to local spots so we were excited to try this. This is located right off the trail across from the baseball stadium. We went on a Friday morning so there were only three other tables in the restaurant. The restaurant is a typical diner style on the inside. We sat down and a waitress came and grabbed our drinks. We waited for a while before our actual waitress came to "introduce" herself and get our order. She didn't greet us, give us her name, or say hi. She walked up and asked what we wanted. We gave her our order, she confirmed, and she walked away. I don't need a warm, fuzzy interaction but you can at least greet us or give us your name. When our food came, I was given a dish I didn't order. I mentioned the incorrect dish and she didn't believe me. She got my correct order, said ok, and walked away. We ate our food- it wasn't bad but wasn't a stand out either. We finished and got the bill. We waited 15 minutes for our server to come grab it but she never came back. We ended up going to the front and someone else took care of us. Our waitress walked up and asked the other server if she had us covered. She didn't acknowledge us or help us. Had a quick outdoor brunch at the tables set along the Pinellas Trail. I would say the menu here is primarily breakfast, and maybe brunch. I would not say any menu items are lunch. It could be they scaled back for Covid. Had the Country Skillet and Breakfast Burrito. Both were excellent. Eating outside was fantastic, they should make it even more attractive, and I would consider it even if I were not biking. I would have given it 5 stars if it had something approaching lunch. Went to check out the place after we found out there were new owners and it is amazing! The staff were all so kind and attentive, the mimosas were huge, and the food was incredible. And if it's cold or any light shower it slows more. Also, when I was in last I ordered a Mimosa, it never came and was not on the bill. This is my favorite spot in Dunedin and Clearwater to eat by far. They always use fresh ingredients, I have never had anything that wasn't absolutely delicious. I love their breakfast and lunch choices: from omelets to tacos--they are the best. The pancakes are Amazing--the banana and the pumpkin are really good! The waitstaff is always on point and everyone is very friendly and welcoming like family. We have eaten there on a weekly basis for years and every meal has been way above par. The owner, Cindy, is a real gem as well. She loves her patrons and it shows. She's involved in the community and has a heartwarming smile when you walk through the door. ordered an entree with an extra side. Only had 30 minutes to eat. Saw staff joking around with each other. Never got the extra side. Entree was good, disappointed that extra side never arrived. They did take it off the bill, but heard staff say "why did he wait til the end to say something?", when they were too busy horsing around to come by. Met a good friend of mine for brunch and to enjoy some music on the back patio. The patio is so pleasant! The 2 waitresses were swamped, but service was still good. I can't say enough about this place. It has become a very regular breakfast spot and everything is delicious. Amazing Huevos Rancheros, fried chicken and waffles, omelettes, and even simple ham and eggs made perfectly. I have had lunch a couple times, I love their burgers (Mexican burger is amazing) and chicken salad. The servers are friendly and attentive. There is always one owner walking around to greet you and make small talk while you wait for your food. If you make suggestions for the menu, they do their best to accommodate. This restaurant focuses on quality and affordability, and it is very evident. If you stopped coming to this location when Iris' food went downhill, then give it a shot with the new owners. We stopped in here on our way back home from our short weekend getaway. It was a Sunday morning around 10 a.m. I don't know why but, the restaurant wasn't even half full! We got a table right away. Our server was VERY friendly! I asked a few questions about how things were cooked and she was able to answer them all. Our food came out fast and it was piping hot and fresh. Love this place. We have been here a few times & each time we have had great food/service. Last time I went I had eggs over easy with potatoes & toast. Perfect the eggs were runny like they were suppose to be & the home fries were that home fries. I hate places that say home fries then give you hash browns & vice versa. Tending away from Eggs bene or an omelette, I decided to go with three scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon with rye toast and coffee. The eggs were done very nicely, in other words, not runny and not rubbery. There was an ample supply of home fries that were good but not great (no real additional flavors included like several places add). The rye toast had just the right amount of butter to add nice flavor. The bacon was wonderful and the coffee (and water) were kept filled with very good service. Great breakfast place, we have never had lunch there but breakfast has always been spot on,they have wonderful waffles which are hard to find believe it or not,so many places have waffles that are so heavy or just a chunk of dough,there's are perfect,light and just the right amount of crunch. The staff is as friendly as it gets,welcoming you right away and sitting you down,the owner always comes to check how are things and sometimes stays and talks for a bit if she can. They also serve mimosas if that's your drink of choice.
