I don't know if they always have absurdly high prices for everybody or just because I bought two very expensive toilets and think I'll overpay for the installation but, their estimate for "labor-only" was over $1,200 per hour. All the rough-in was done, and all the finishes are done as well. For installing two toilets, replacing 3 angle valves, installing the shower and vanity faucets, plus vanity drain, their estimate was over $2500. Of course, to make it more obscene and onerous, since I supply the parts, there is no warranty from them. Lawyers charges $200-$350 per hour. How can this be legal? The worst thing is that I'm capable of doing 90% of the work. I was trying to incentivize the company with more work. The only part I was not confident in installing the P-trap for the vanity drain. because a fixed shelve of the vanity is in the way and I don't want to alter or cut the shelve. I was hoping an experienced and skilled plumber could install the drain without cutting the shelf. read more

I needed plumbing hook-ups for a washer, and I got an estimate on Thursday and the work was completed the following Tuesday. James was very professional and cordial. When he came back to do the work, he and his two assistants worked quietly and efficiently. They even made friends with my hyper French Bulldog, which was a plus. Were also conscientious about my cats rushing the door when they came in and out. I didn't get anymore estimates because I was anxious to get this done, but the price seemed fair based on difficulty of the job and the amount of PVC pipe required. read more

Our upstairs shower was leaking through the first floor ceiling, so we searched for a plumber and found these guys. When Jim came to the house the next day he was on time, honest about the work, and didn't do any of the lying/upselling we encountered with other contractors. We ended up asking him to look at our water heater because we knew it was getting old, only to find out our home inspector never told us it was installed in 1998. Jim came back out to the house to replace our shower stems, and replace our water heater which passed inspection with Fairfax County on the first try. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and the plumber seemed very knowledgeable. I had three issues that needed addressing and ended up only having my bathtub drain snaked because the prices were absolutely astronomical. Jimbo and Tom arrived here to replace an outdoor water spigot. At first I thought it was gonna be an easy fix and I started to get worried that it was going to be too expensive. This is a belated review since I experienced my pipe leakage in the New Yea's eve. I had to shut down the main valve on the day, and hoped someone somehow someone can help me to get the water back on the holiday! I found Trade Pros. Scheduling was very easy, I was contacted right away and given several options to schedule. The service technician came for the service call, were very professional and gave a quote for the work needed. Work was agreed to and done days later due to the bad snow storm. We were having issues with our AC drain pipe clogging and water coming up so we initially reached out to a larger company. They came out and gave us an estimate to snake the drain pipe for $450. They also charged to come out to inspect the issue which was another $70. We paid for them to come out but decided not to move forward with them. Instead we reached out to Trade Pros. Brittany reached out almost immediately and we scheduled a FREE estimate appointment. Jimbo and Tommy came out the next day and Jimbo not only snaked our drain for less than $300, he gave us his honest recommendations about our water heater next to it after seeing things that should be addressed asap. He did not upcharge us for any work and even gave us a discount on our estimate to fix the issues to prevent any major water damage down the road. I was not at all satisfied. The technician told me that my hot water heater looked old and was manufactured in 1999. We purchased this home in 2013 and subsequently replaced the hot water heater. Then he told me that the valve for the hose bib was stuck and needed to be replaced. When he left to find the outside water shut off I checked the valve and it turned with very little effort. When I showed this to him he said he was surprised. He quoted me a figure around $2300 and then said "Let me see what I can do for you." Then he said that he could charge me for add ons for two of the the valves instead of charging for the full replacement, then deducted the valve that was actually working, then deducted another 5% and came up with a final amount of $1476.00. If the job could be done for that amount it should have been quoted that way from the start, not quoted that way as some sort of favor to me. Just price the job with all of the adjustments at the beginning. I will be getting other estimates and going with another company read more

I was having an issue with my water bill from a damaged toilet pipe whereas the usage went from 5k gallons to 33k gallons. I called tradepros on a Wednesday spoke with a very nice and professional customer service representative who scheduled me for Friday from 12-2pm. On Friday I received a call at 1130am from Mr. Mulligan letting me know he was enroute. He arrived promptly at 12pm. Mr. Mulligan gave me the courtesy of letting me know he was vaccinated as he entered my home. He inspected and explained the problem and fixed the pipes immediately ( which was a relief he had parts on hand). I was very pleased with Trade Pros although our washer overflow problem has not yet been solved. We called our warranty company who sent a plumbing company to snake wire the drain pipes. That did not help, so they sent a hydrojet (sp?) machine and still the problem was not solved. So the warranty company looked for someone to run a camera but did not have anyone available and asked us to find one ourselves. So, new arrangements made our way to Trade Pros. This was my first experience posting through Yelp. I received several replies but clearly some had not read my concern thoroughly. Trade Pros did. Brittney replied quickly and it was obvious she had read my washer overflow issue. She offered a free estimate and sent Jimbo and another gentleman to check and explain the work needed. They were surprised to hear that the jobs performed had not worked, especially with the hydrojet. Jimbo said running a camera would not do the job because the issue is not the pipes but the vent system. Jimbo continued explaining they do not deal with warranty companies, so any job they do, we would have to seek reimbursement ourselves. Then Brittney sent me the estimates and answered multiple questions that surfaced. I am still checking with our warranty company, so my washer overflow problem has not yet been solved. But i have appreciated the promptness and the courteous service. I sure hope my warranty company lets me make repairs with Trade Pros company. I highly recommend it..! read more
