Super chill vibe here at this brand new brewery. I had the chance to sample all the beers I wanted to and continued with a flight of a mixture of in-house and guest taps. I enjoyed the ambiance here but wish they had some heaters for the last burst of winter. The decor is very modern and chic. I really loved the vibe of this brewery. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and grabbed a flight and some food from the food truck they had that night. It's a family friendly spot and it's dog friendly as well. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in the morning there is a coffee bar pop up with Otus Coffee. It's a husband and wife duo serving up really great coffee - highly recommend buying their coffee beans! read more

Home State Brewing Co really helped us in a pinch. Our wedding rehearsal venue cancelled the week of our wedding and the owners at Home State made a very stressful experience so much easier. They coordinated some extra food and were extremely communicative. Pricing was super reasonable with a minimum spend per hour. They assisted us with extra table set up and everyone was very kind. For the last few years I've seen the horizon west project being completed and to now finally see some amazing restaurants/ bars coming to this area is absolutely fantastic. We stopped in to grab some drinks, while they had a local food truck vendor outside. Btw a little hint - Keep a eye out on their social media for new trucks each week, so be sure to head over to their Instagram so you don't miss any yummy creations. One thing that stood out to me was they have free use board games to play with friends while you drink, super rad! My Only recommendation would be to come during the week when it's less busy, weekends are packed and can be hard to find a table. Plus during week days most drinks are 2-3$ who doesn't love that. Home State Brewing is our go-to chill spot. They make the best sour beers compare to any other brewery in Orlando I've been to. It's a pretty inclusive spot hosting a coffee shop and multiple different types of events/communities such morning yoga, run club, trivia, etc. In terms of service, everyone is super knowledgeable about beer so if you don't know what you're looking for they can help you. They also make plenty of their own beer, different kind of flavors so there's something for everyone. Lastly, they are dog friendly! So far, so great! Was able to visit Hamlin's first brewery during the initial week of opening and I can't share enough how great it is to have them in the neighborhood! In the sea of banks and dentist offices, we finally have a place to kick back and chill! It's family friendly where they offer board games and coloring activities. The patio/biergarten area is a great place to spread out and is pet friendly too. The handful of house beers on tap have your standard choices for every beer aficionado and offer guest taps and ciders as well. My favorite right now is their collab with Otus Coffee - hazelnut brown, malty and rich deliciousness. Speaking of Otus coffee they have an in store coffee cart on the weekends to grab some locally roasted coffee. They also bring in local food trucks to serve lunch and dinner offerings. I love local businesses supporting other local businesses. So glad to finally have a venue that fills that entertainment void that Hamlin is sorely missing. Home State Brewing fits in perfectly in the growing Hamlin area. They have a great selection of beers of all types (including sours, wheats, IPA's, stuff for pretty much everyone) and have lots of seating inside, under the patio, and outside with gravel in front of their outdoor stage. My husband and I love bringing our dog here and they also have water bowls for pups! The hidden gem to me are the bathrooms which are "water closets" and decorated meticulously. Great place to hang out for small or large groups. read more

Bright, clean, friendly, but terrible food experience. Minimal menu. A bit overpriced. Pulled pork tasted like pure vinegar. My wife and I could not finish a small sandwich. I love Carolina style vinegar pulled pork, but this was just pure vinegar soaked pork. They offered to replace it, but by that time I was feeling bad. I'm not a complainer, but I had to nicely advise the server to not serve this to anyone else without revising the recipe. read more

Great casual and local community vibe. Indoor seating with choice of bar seating, tables, or soft chairs and sofas. They are family oriented and dog friendly. There is a covered porch to enjoy the outdoors with friends while drinking your brews, numerous picnic tables under the sun to accommodate large crowds, seating for music performances, and another side area with some outdoor games. There is a good selection of brews on tap including IPA's, Wheats, Lagers, Stouts, and Sours. Most beers are priced at about $8 (Squeeze the Day IPA) which is a little higher than other breweries in the nearby surrounding areas. A 500 ml of their Anniversary Imperial Stout was $17. There are now some limited offerings from a small kitchen if you want a little something to munch on while you enjoy your beer. Offerings are typical bar food choices... little handheld sandwiches, bagged chips, soft pretzels, meatballs, breads with spreads, and a couple salad choices. They offer Trivia games for prizes every Wed night, have a run club, offer live music (check the calendar online at their website), and various other local events like cornhole competitions, yoga classes, painting sessions, sport tv watching nights, and food trucks. I would rate Home State a little higher if the prices were more in line with their competitors who charge $6.50-$7.00 a pint. I know Home State is proud of their beers, but during these turbulent economic times, price matters! read more

I'm here to update my review because Homestate continues to impress me with their creative additions to what could have been "just your local brewery" Welcome, Filigree Coffee, which is open inside of the brewery 7 days a week. We're so happy to have another coffee option within walking distance. (Stay tuned for a separate review on this coffee bar). Yayyyy for their food menu, go for the Cuban and Voodoo chips!!! FYI-- they're currently running a lunch special for $16 for a sandwich and a pint Huge props to this business for supporting other small (local) businesses through pop up shops! Also, way to go for getting the community together with the addition of special events, like their "Oktoberfest" and "Ho Ho Home For The Holiday" We're attending their 90s themed NYE party, and are stoked to see how much fun that will be! Really disappointed in our local "brewery". While the beer has never been much to brag about, the local vibe (in the past) has been welcoming and chill. From their grand opening, to movies in the beer garden, to Oktoberfest, and even trick or treat, we've enjoyed every season at Home State. While they've also had their seasons of unfriendly bartenders and changing rules about food trucks or bringing in outside food, we've stuck by their side and brought friends and family members to visit. Our recent visit left us feeling as if this establishment is not as family friendly as it once was, and we are unsure that we will return after being treated very rudely by a staff member. read more

This brewery was a great pit stop on our way home from the Springs. The beer "Doctors Orders" hit the spot and was true to its name. Really wish we didn't eat before as the food coming out looked amazing. So if you are thinking of visiting this place, save room for their giant pretzel. This was our first visit and we loved it! I will be honest leading up to our visit we tried to call to see if they were dog friendly and they don't have a number posted, we did finally find one and when called it mentioned their name but said it is not an active number. When we arrived I went inside to ask if they were dog friendly and if we could bring out dog inside and was quickly told yes. As I walked away I was chased down by a different person telling me know I was misinformed and they are only allowed on the patio. So a little frustrating that people working aren't all on the same page or familiar. No big deal, luckily it wasn't one of those record breaking days and everyone in our party was cool with sitting outside. They have a very cool area inside, a nice covered patio, and an open area as well. There is a bar on the outside patio and while we visited they actually came to the tables and took orders and dropped off the beer. Home State has a very nice variety of beer, and all with their own wonderful flavors. Can't wait to come back and try some other brews. While we were there one food truck left and another took its place, I'd assume they probably post this schedule some place. Since we had just eaten we didn't look into it. read more

I dropped in here on a Saturday afternoon. They were busy. Initially, there were no seats but we soon found seats at the bar. They do not currently offer food other than snacks. However, there is often a food truck parked outside. This was my first visit to check out the location. I had a flight of four different beers. I enjoyed their Florida IPA and Hefeweizen. I had 2 fruity selections: Sea Level and The Audacity. I thought they were fruity but weak. This seems to be typical of the fruity beers that I have had lately. They have tables in bar area and outdoor seating in a covered area. The brewing kettles are visible through glass windows. I recommend this location and plan to return. read more

A brewery that will become a regular stop for me! This place has great beer, friendly staff, and a great setup with inside and outside seating, a play area for kids and a stage for live music. They have a total of about 20 taps with 2/3 being their own brews. The Bonhomie (a dry-hopped Saison) and the Son of Franz (Vienna Lager) were my favorites. Great spot for a cold one. Or two, lol. My hubby and I have been here a couple times and the vibe is great for a date day or evening. Stopped by yesterday after sweating our tails off doing yard work and the brews hit the spot. There is a portion of the outdoor patio that's covered which is nice if it's raining or super sunny. Their selection is great and we enjoy trying new beers when we visit. The seating is great, not too close where you're in other's conversations and the music selection is awesome...I found myself humming and singing along at times. We even had a flying friend land in my husband's beer and they replaced it, no issue. This is our go to spot when we want to skip the bottles at home and grab a draft. Cheers! read more

I am so happy this brewery opened up. What a great place that is family friendly and pet friendly! They have a beer garden, patio and indoor area. They have live music and food truck and you can also bring outside food in. Tanner the beertender was super helpful on types of beers and figuring out what I wanted. Not a beer drinker? Not a problem. They sell coffee, Mexican soda and Jarritos as well. They do have a revolving tap of guest beers. Very surprised to find some Tallahassee brewery beers, which was awesome after spending a handful of years in that city. Really enjoy the vibe and the people. read more

Love this spot! The beer is great (according to my husband!), and I thoroughly enjoyed the non-beer options. The hard seltzers in particular were amazing! Love HomeState Brewing but it's helpful to know what you're getting here before you walk in so that you walk out having had a great experience. This is a small brewery that feels like a neighborhood hang out. It is definitely not a mega brewery or massive Brew pub sort of joint. They have a great yard, a small indoor area with a bar and some couches, an outdoor bar, a decent selection of beers, and they throw the occasional fun event as well. Food menu is limited, so don't cost starving, think of it more as bites or accompaniments to a beer rather than dinner. Came for the New Year's Eve '90s party and had a wonderful time. '90s tunes, lots of folks got dressed up, they had some fantastic photo booths, a few outdoor games, and had the Ohio State / Michigan game playing on the big screens. read more

This was a really neat spot but I have a few critiques. This brewery appears to be a family friendly spot especially with their outdoor patio and events, but the non-alcohol drink menu is pretty limited if you came with teens/kids. (Obviously not a problem if you're coming to drink) We went with a really big work group and the service was still very fast and attentive which is great. The food was all really good except I prefer my pulled pork smoked with mesquite/pecan and this seemed like maybe cedar? ...so not my favorite. That's a personal preference though as I'm a Texan and this could be a local thing? The other sandwich was really tasty it just wasn't very full. I felt like it was pretty lacking especially compared to how much filling came in the pulled pork sandwich. The non alcoholic IPA and ale were quite tasty. My sister had the orange mimosa which she liked, I thought it was too much orange juice and a little skunky. Their soft pretzel bites which I forgot to take pictures of were AMAZING. Definitely a cute spot and somewhere neat to go for a drink. read more

We stumbled upon this gem truly by accident while looking for another establishment, and decided to stop in here instead. They have a pretty decent selection of apps, sandwiches and hot dogs. But their beer selection was honestly the main reason why we stopped in. Honestly, so much to choose from. The only thing I would suggest would be for staff to be a bit more involved in orienting new customers of the ordering process. We sort of had to guess and refer to other customers to know that there were ordering cards to select food and beverage items. Other than that, the place is super family (and pet!) friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating that can accommodate large or small parties and plenty of space for kiddos to run around and gather with friends and family.
