Excited to see what's in store for this sports themed pub. I love that it's so close to home and that there are numerous TVs that multiple games can be playing on. My husband and I went for football Sunday and were able to watch both our teams play. The spinach artichoke dip and mango habanero boneless wings were amazing. However, the nachos were not impressive. They were literally dry chips with the smallest amount of meat, cheese, peppers, and black beans. If I could leave 0 stars, that would be even better. We entered this restaurant 9:00 PM on a Firday night for a quick bite to eat. We patientially waited for someone to seat us (aprox. 10-15 minutes) Red Flag. Someone arrived and escortated us to a table. The waitress ("Blondie") came oover and asked what we wanted to drink. We said water. Blondie stated that she'd be back in a few minutes. The restaurant is divided into 2 sections. Our section wasn't as croded as the other. 15 minutes later, Blondie arrived to take our order. She said she'd be back. Another 15 minutes and our drinks STILL hadnn't arrived. I watched a couple sit at the bar and within a few minutes, their drinks arrived. 4 waitresses including Blondie were cackling at the next table about what the person left as a tip. Blondie stated that the bar was full and crowded I said "Whatever"( I counted 3 bartenders).FINALLY, our drinks arrived. Blondie stated "I don't like your attitude, threw our check at us and stated that she'd get our meals to go. At NO TIME was I rude to Blondie; maybe her hair was too tight. In all my years of eating out, I've NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS. We walked out. I will speak to the Manager as well. THere are PLENTY of orher restaurants in Onondaga County that wouldn't be so rude and have an Attitude. Hometown Pub is that restaurant. I hope that Blondie realizes what she has done as this reviewer will NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

Just ordered some appetizers for my wife and I. Got home and the chicken wing dip wasn't there (I should've checked beforehand but its all good). Called them up on the drive back (maybe 3 min) and they had it ready with a gift card for the cost of the food. Steve was awesome. Didn't expect that. Excellent experience at opening night of newest restaurant/bar in Liverpool! Service was excellent. Bartenders were very attentive. Excellent happy hour specials. Called two weeks ago to confirm they were open on Easter and to see if we had to make reservations for a large party. A woman answered who said she had to check with the manager. I could hear him in the background , both confirmed they were open at 1130 with the regular menu. We showed up today with a party of 13 and they were closed, sign on the door. read more

Awful first experience. We ordered a fish fry sandwich (which includes fries and a side salad) with an extra side of onion rings, a chicken tender meal with fries, and fried pickles as an appetizer all for takeout. After waiting 20 minutes IN the restaurant past the time we were told it would be ready, my husband had to ask if the food was ready (he had already checked in with them). They said yes and handed him a bag that had been sitting there for some time. He got home and we were missing the fries, the pickles and the onion rings. I immediately called and asked for my money refunded, and the response was "I told him to check and make sure it was all there." I'm sorry, but that is YOUR job, especially when we're not at a fast food restaurant and were spending more than $30. They refunded only the missing items not the remainder or the tip. Not to mention, the food was freezing cold since it had been sitting on the bar while my husband was waiting for service. Certainly won't be back. read more

Dinner for two with a few cocktails. Great food, tables nice and spaced apart in the time of Covid. Our server was friendly and we were never rushed or waiting. I had a fish sandwich with tots and she had a pub bowl. We were both really satisfied with our meals. A Bourbon Smash is a classic and they do it justice. 2nd time here, 1st time for full dinners. I have yet to have a bad meal or experience at this establishment. Every single time we are greeted and taken care of with the same respectful and professional manner as the last and the food is always delicious. We love coming here for happy hour and "day of the week" specials, as well as a place to hang for SU and NFL games year round. I have faith that this restaurant will actually stay and break the cycle of the revolving door that this property has been over the last few years. Have gone probably 5 times between late night and for dinner and have been impressed...however I ordered from grub hub delivery and received the wrong item once and had to go pick it up, which was fine as a one time thing people make mistakes. However, tonight I ordered grub hub pick up and received a confirmation for my pick up time. When I arrived I had a text message that my order was cancelled. I waited in restaurant awhile for someone to tell me they weren't sure why and if I wanted to re place it it would be a long long while. Came in to watch my football team. Pub has numerous TV's and NFL ticket. Great to watch your game. Had some wings and they were good. The only thing I missed from a sports pub is the sports atmosphere. Maybe bartenders in NFL jerseys on Sunday? We ordered take out, we walked in and didn't know which side to go on so we chose the right side. We walked in and most of the staff were on their phones, a guy came and asked what we were there for so we said take out and he said he would be back. Finally someone else brought our food out and asked if we paid. We said no so he went over to this employee, who was on her phone and seem more than annoyed to be cashing us out, to have us pay. She didn't say thank you or say how much than change was, she handed us the money and went right back to her phone. The atmosphere was unwelcoming because it seemed like if you weren't from Liverpool or had been there a bunch or know someone there, you were a total outcast. The highlight was it smelled good and it was extremely clean. The food was just okay but the extremely poor service brought the whole experience down. Maybe the staff should learn that when they are working their personal cells phones should be put away and actually be attentive to guests coming in. Found them in The Clipper Magazine - awesome food and atmosphere. Tons of space and TVs. We ordered three different meals and no complaints. And had my dad's favorite craft beer Fiddlehead so it was automatically A+ in his book! Definitely planning to come back soon - just what Liverpool needed! read more
