The staff was very responsive and answered all of my questions when booking. I have a young child at home and wanted to do my part to keep bugs away. We notice a lot of spider webs and mosquitoes in our yard. We have earwigs popping up in the house. Sergio came at his scheduled time and sprayed some parts of the interior. I was on a zoom meeting and didn't follow him around but he finished in a couple minutes. He moved to the exterior and also finished quickly. When I asked about certain parts being sprayed, he said he would spray them if I wanted. He was super lax about spraying. I was kind of counting on his expertise to spray locations that needed to be sprayed. The longest part of the visit was knocking down the spider webs. After the service, I still noticed these bugs. I reached out to Sergio and he said this was normal as we flushed the bugs out of their homes. He would push up our 30 days visit. That was the last I heard from Sergio and the company. The prices are competitive but I still paid $154 for this visits (after a discount). No one bothered to schedule my future appointment. Like many people, I'm very busy which is why I was willing that pay those prices. I thought this company would stay on top of my pest control. I didn't realize I would still need to reach out and remind them to provide services. Today I reached out to cancel. I spoke with Marnel and he offered to come service the house himself. Honestly, I'm over it. This is too much work, I can just do it myself at this point. I will pay for convenience and this place did not pan out as convenient. 10/27/22 Update Marnel reached out after this review went live. He offered to refund my money. Although I never asked for a refund, I accepted this offer. He then asked that I take the review down. Since this refund came with stipulations, I declined the refund. I'm so angry with this company. It used to be that I paid quarterly: $138 every 3 months. Now, they've moved to a monthly payment, which gouges the customer, but I'm still only receiving quarterly service. Unbelievable! I tried calling to cancel my service today, and no one would answer my calls--three times--even though I called within business hours. I live in a gated community and now have heard rodents in my attic. I was going to use HomeShield to service this problem since I'm paying monthly now, but after reading a review from Alyjaa S. and seeing how this company doesn't even set traps, I don't have a whole lot of faith that they can fix my problem. I'm canceling as soon as I can get someone on the phone! My HOA recommends Anderson Pest Innovations, so I've called them to fix my rodent issue. Anderson is coming this week. Meanwhile, Homeshield couldn't send someone until the following week. I can no longer wait. If Anderson does a good job, I will likely switch to them for my spider problem, which is what I had originally used HomeShield for. HomeShield does not reward loyalty, so what's the point in staying? read more

When you sign your contract be sure and read the fine print because their representative won't tell you about needing to contact them to cancel their service even though you sign up for service for a specific period of time. They will continue to bill you until you contact them and cancel. They get 2 stars because they did the job we hired them to do, and our problem was solved. read more

We had an ant infestation recently and they would not stop! Called HomeShield and set up an appointment. There was a good initial discount on the first service and I signed up for a quarterly maintenance plan. They sprayed outside and indoors and cleared spider webs. I've noticed the spider webs haven't come back, so that's definitely an added bonus! The spiders were taking over. Ty was new, but she was very friendly and informative. It was good to learn what she was doing. Ultimately very pleased with the treatment. Also at ease knowing the chemicals are more environmentally friendly. I don't really put too much stock in that as it's still a pesticide, but nice that it's slightly safer. read more

Five stars people. Here is my story. For over a year I did my best to battle ants in our 2700 sf Fullerton home - on my own. They would show up downstairs, upstairs, in closets, in the kitchen, in the bathroom. Craziness! I used Terro ant bait everywhere. I must have gone through 16 of those little bottles of clear gel during several months "Use Terro.. my friends said, you'll never see ants again!" I was already using the stuff - lots of it. Sure enough, ants would circle the bait as if it was laced with cocaine. I would see no more ants after a day or two. But then a few weeks later they were back. I did my best to locate where they were entering the house (when a trail formed) and I would immediately caulk up the cracks (inside and out) - also placing ant bait at the site of exit and entry. I did this religiously for a year. Nothing worked permanently. I discovered the ants were coming from three major nests out in the yard on each side of my house. Massive trails of ants would traverse the property. I poured boiling water down the holes of the nests. I sprayed your standard Lowes/Home Depot bug and ant killer all over the place. It was all out war. Everything I did helped for a few weeks and then the ants were back. After a year of this my wife suggested I call a pest company. I looked through the reviews on Yelp and called HomeSheild. AFTER.ONE.SPRAYING..... I have not seen a single ant in my house or yard. The change was so dramatic I was sorry I didn't call a year earlier. We've stuck to their (visit once every two months) spraying schedule and have had no pests. Bradley just came by for the one month service to get all of the newly hatched bugs and he was great.
