Go to for pizza if i want a bar to sit at. No matter which location theyre always super nice and helpful, even a peak times theu are pretty quick. 3-6 happy hour is pretty awesome to cut down on your dinner bill too if youre having a couple beers. For sure recommended. read more

a friend who lives in durango recommended this pizza joint so thought i'll give it a try and order some online home delivery. at the online check out it had quoted the two pizzas (the 12" Pork-u-Pine and the 12" Phunky Phresh) and a would take 30 minutes to arrive, it took over 90 minutes to arrive. i ask the pizza delivery man if the pizza had been sitting in the car for the last 60 or more minutes and if it was still hot and fresh, he told me yes. when i finally took the pizza inside to eat it was cold and wet from the heat condensation, the base was soggy and stuck to the pizza box. the pizza guy had told an outright lie and the pizza tasted so bad. And i can confirm another reviewers comment that the actual pizza topping ingredients on the pizza was quite a small amount for the price of the pizza and that a large part was just charcoal crust. so the review from my experience would be to avoid this pizza joint because the pizza i had was very bad quality, the staff will lie to your face and it took way to long than their quoted deliver time, not much quantity of pizza toppings and it was way too $$ for what it was. read more

This is THE best place to get pizza in Durango. I am an East Coaster and most of the places in this town are not up to par. Home Slice makes great pizza and at a great price. I am not from Durango, but now I wish I was... Because I would eat at Homeslice ALL THE TIME!!!! Wow, this place is just awesome!! The atmosphere and the staff are fantastic. It has a very groovy hippy kind of vibe goin on. The woman behind the register was beutiful, extremely friendly and incredibly efficient (I wish I knew her name so I could give her the credit she deserves). They were slammed when we were there and she totally kept her composure the entire time and always had a smile on her face. In fact, every employee we talked that day was beyond friendly, it was just incredible really. Homeslice has a huge selection of pizzas all with clever names and incredible toppings. I was there with a group of people so we ended up just getting ham and pineapple because that was what everyone agreed upon, but I saw tons of pizzas that I wanted to try. The pizza was simply delicious, cheesy gooey goodness with fresh toppings on a perfect crust. Oh, and the garlic home rolls are to die for! I probably could have eaten the whole order on my own (but I had to share)!! I loved everything about this little pizza joint and next time I'm in town visiting my brother, you better believe we'll be eating at Homeslice, at least twice!! Not good pizza. The positives: service, location, ambience and boutique beer selection. The negatives: crust was not cooked and tasted worse than Tony's frozen pizza; the sauce tasted like it came out of a Ragu spaghetti sauce jar; and probably the biggest gripe I had was the cost--3 beers, side salad, 12" pizza with several toppings--$58!!! Clearly I'm in the minority with my 3 star review and maybe it was an "off night" for the cook, but I won't be back. read more

We are frequent visitors to Durango and have never been here. I was craving pizza. We called from the hotel and they have 2 locations. The person that answered (Susie) told us we were just around the block and told us how to get there. We ordered a whole pizza and we each had two slices. It was the perfect world of opposite choices. Food was great. Staff was great. Pizza was good. I'm happy. Susie ended up being at our location and very helpful. I recommend this place. It's a dive/hole in the wall that has good drinks and great food with no wait. Thumbs up! read more

Good pizza. Questionable business practices. We very much enjoyed our 2 meals here (1 dine-in; 1 take-out) during our stay in Durango during the 4th of July weekend. Unfortunately, the our dine-in experience resulted in the vendor double-charging our debit card. So, we were charged twice for the over 50 bucks we spent on the meal. Realizing this, on our way out of town we stopped by to alert the vendor. Two employees were loading supplies into the Main Ave. location's kitchen, and we stated to them that we had an issue with the credit/debit amount. Before we said anything further, the employee asked "were you double-charged?" We said yes and proceeded to give our full contact information, along with the underlying facts, to the employee in charge. Regrettably, we never back from HomeSlice, so we had to dispute the double charge through our bank. We still have yet to hear anything from HomeSlice. It would be a shame if the double charge approach (potential fraud) was commonplace. We are inclined to believe it is given the employee's unsolicited comments regarding same and the lack of any response from HomeSlice. read more

The atmosphere here is casual. The order window and kitchen seem to be a food truck that was turned into a restaurant. I loved the local art on the walls and the menu items were named creatively. We were starving after just finishing a half day rafting trip and wanted something to eat quickly. So, our family of five (with 3 kids) ordered eleven individual slices off the Home Slice tower of ready-made pizzas. They were ready pretty quickly and delivered to our table. On the tower, there were a few interesting flavor combos (my fave was the pesto, kalamata olives, tomato, and ricotta) and the flavors you'd expect. It was an interesting mix of flavors. I liked adding their homemade green chile sauce to almost every bite. It was tangy and gave the pie a little "kick." I wasn't sure if the slices would be tasty after being heated up, but they satisfied our hungry bellies. I would go back, but would like to order off their menu as opposed to the ready-made pies. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. The staff was also friendly and helpful. When we tried to redeem a free cinnamon roll for a Yelp check-in, we were informed they no longer serve them. They were extremely nice about it and offered garlic rolls instead (which were the highlight of the meal -- fresh, hot, buttery, and topped with parm). I would say the pizza was good, but not great. For my taste, there was too much cheese, not enough sauce, and the crust was somewhat bland. Overall, an ok experience, but I would opt for a different pizzeria when in Durango. read more

Went to their northern location. Pizza was very mediocre, the service was poor and my husband and I agreed we would never come back. They have some interesting topping choices, but that doesn't make up for pizza that is only so-so, made up mostly of crust. Their Thursday tapas menu had nothing that sounded good at all and we were limited to their pre-made slices, which could be seen sitting out with no real covering. HomeSlice has the most amazing pizza, an awesome vibe and some pretty wonderful people working to make sure you have a great experience. We brought a bunch of very hungry backpackers to this establishment on Thursday 7/31 and everything we ordered was superlative. I had the greek salad and a margherita pizza slice. Both were top notch. I then sampled some of the custom pizzas the guys ordered and, somewhat shockingly given what was ordered, everything was great. To be clear on the wonderful people aspect: I discovered I was missing my credit card the day after our visit, but unfortunately I was in a location with limited cell service. When I called a couple of days later, the kind folks at HomeSlice graciously mailed it to me in Phoenix. Way to go, HomeSlice! read more

There is a new location on Camino and 29th. I ordered the Grandma June's bacon cheeseburger pizza with marinara instead of BBQ sauce. It was BY FAR the worst pizza I have ever eaten. There was no sauce to speak of and the hamburger was bad; as in it should have been thrown away days ago. I was thrilled when they opened the new location near me as I have always had a great experience at the other location.
