Got takeout while on vacation, was delicious. Jerk chicken was moist and flavorful. Rice and pigeon peas were really good. Their cabbage salad, that comes with the meals, was surprisingly good as well. I was expecting it to be bland but it was not, quite tasty actually. Food I give 5 stars. Friendly service as well, so 5 stars there also. The only negative was the host/bartender was not wearing a mask which is mandated in the Myrtle Beach area for Covid. This place is spot on. Jerk chicken was off the charts... best I've had in quite some time! And the plantains were oh so delicious! My 13 yr old son cleaned his entire plate and said its the best meal he's had thus far while here in MB. Staff were great, food took about 15-20 mins . We have gotten almost everything on the menu and it is all tasty! I didn't get a chance to take a picture, but we have also had the Stew Pork and that too was delicious! Portion sizes are NICE. Even with the oxtail . You know sometimes people can be stingy with the oxtail...not them! You definitely get your bang for your buck. They also have set up for vibing and liming, but with the COVID restrictions and social distancing, this may be put on hold. This review is super late! I was there when I was visiting with my family. My mother and I have never been to Myrtle Beach before. This spot showed up on our list of choices of where to eat from on yelp, and we decided to stop in for a bite. The drinks were really good! Refreshing, flavorful, and strong. Cheers to that! The food-now, I can only speak for myself-was absolutely delicious. I have never grown up on Jamaican food, but I can definitely sense the comfort of "comfort food" on my palate. I tried the curry goat*. As stated before, comfort food. Reasonably priced dishes too. This is not a fast food establishment, and it should not be treated as such. A lot of love is put into the food (i.e. lots of flavor and perfect blends of spices... *high key, I need y'alls recipe). The atmosphere was also very relaxing. Only thing I would say is that it could've been cooked a little more to have the meat fall off the bone. For me it was a little tough. This restaurant caught the corner of my eye while traveling down 501. Later it was found listed on the "10 Top Myrtle Beach Restaurants to Visit." After seeing this, we had to try it. My mother and I love oxtails. Once we checked the menu and saw that we were sold on trying it. We went and were greeted with smiles and welcoming staff. They took our order and were very pleasant engaging us in conversation while we waited for our oxtails, rice and peas, and beef patty to be ready. We took our order to go with two tings. The food was great! The customer service and atmosphere was not. Upom entry we noticed a young girl laying down in one of the boths with her coat covering her. The woman behind the counter did not greet us upon entry. When we approached the counter, I explained we wanted to eat in, she stated we had to order our food first. When we asked what was on the menu she explained all that was left was stew chicken and curry chicken. The restaurant was out of everything else. She had no personality what so ever and did not appear to care if customers ordered or not Once our order was ready, it was placed in a bag, placed in styrofoam containers with plastic utensils and napkins. No one came over to ask how the order was or otherwise. This place has the potential to be so much better than it is but that would consist of a new management team and staff. read more

I would love to have given a review of the food. Other reviews had my mouth watering. However we never even got a menu so have nothing to review. We arrived about 11:30 to an empty restaurant. The gentleman behind the counter was on the phone. We seated ourselves in a booth in his direct line of sight. He never gave us any acknowlement--not a smile, a wave, a finger raised to say he would be with us shortly. My husband and I visit this restaurant every time we go to Myrtle Beach, which is at least two times per year. Unfortunately, on August 28th, we received very disappointing service. We ordered two meals to go. We both ordered oxtails, one with Mac and cheese and steamed veggies, the other with two sides of steamed veggies. We both received a ton of rice, no Mac and cheese and no extra veggies. I'm diabetic, that's why I asked for extra veggies instead of rice. When I called them the cashier said well next time..... I interrupted her in a calm voice and said we don't live here so there is no next time. She said let me get the manager. Manager says I'm not sure if you were aware that we ran out of Mac and cheese. Isn't that their job to inform the customer? Calling them was a waste of time. Most well run restaurants would have at least apologized and asked and offered a solution to fix their error. We also had the receipt to prove what we ordered. We were going to go back and demand they fix it but decided not to let them further ruin our night. Our meal was $51.29 which is pricey for a two person take out so you want your order correct. We will no longer patron them when we travel to Myrtle Beach again, yes we are just two customers but it may explain why they had more dudes hanging around not eating instead of customers sitting at tables and eating. read more
