I had the shrimp, crableg bag with potatoes, sausages, corn on the Cobb it was sooooooooo goood! The perfect amount of spice. My favorite part was the shrimp and sausages. Usually boil bag places make the sausages too thick or don't cook them enough. 501 at Nene's had no problem making everything so good. I was only in town for the weekend but I will make this a MUST STOP every time I come to SC. The owners were very cool about us ordering so much so late, they stayed over and made our food. The best crab boil I've ever had hands down! This place is a hidden gem. The workers are so sweet. You cannot beat the prices. It's not a normal sit down place you just order your food to go or you can place an order for pick up over the phone. Sooooo flavorful. All week we've had problems with BIG restaurants so it was a refresher to visit this small location and get what we paid for. New family-owned restaurant in Myrtle Beach that serves take-out only, which is perfect for the COVID economy. We ordered the crayfish etoufee and it knocked our socks off. We loved the fish. It was fried to perfection. Mac n ' cheese was good. I had teriyaki which was good but he had Garlic Parmesan and they were banging and I don't Ben like garlic park wings. We love that we didn't have to ask for condiments. I will definitely return when we come back to SC. read more

This place is fantastic. I love their flavors, their service, and incredible staff. They're always willing to go the extra mile, and the prices can't be beat!! Definitely perfect take out meal for an at home date night, i recommend this place to everyone I talk to about food. I lived in dallas for 2 years and this is the ONLY restaurant that can even compare to the level of food out there. Customer service was great, but it wasnt $65 great. The food had little to no seasoning. You have to peal your own eggs, there was not potatoes in my bag, and the shrimp is overcooked. I called almost 30 times and did not get any one. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. Waste of money, didn't eat the food. read more

This place was delicious! I love trying seafood boils and this was a good spot here in this beach town. We ordered for a family of 8. We had an order of snow crabs with shrimp , sausage, corn & potatoes with cajun, garlic sauce & hot spice. And another same order with just garlic sauce. The seasoning & spice level was just right. This place needs work! Waited an hour for two fish sandwiches and 7 wings. Initially I wanted wings but I was disappointed to be told they were OUT of chicken approximately 30 minutes after opening. Thank god we only got a 7 piece because the wings were HARD and horrible. These wings were definitely pre-made which was the reason for them having a rubbery consistency. The HOT SAUCE is NOT homemade as advertised, my spouse saw them pouring the hot sauce from a Texas Pete bottle. The Mac and cheese had good taste but was dry, the tater sauce was the best tasting thing. The fish was okay, overall would not return. Visited Nene's while on a short family trip and the food was just okay. Could've been seasoned a lot better, portion sizes were too small for the price. Ordered a 1/2 pound of shrimp and only got 7 shrimp. All for supporting black owned businesses, but improvements are needed for the long run. read more

My girlfriend and I tried this "seafood" spot on New Year's Day after visiting Myrtle Beach for New Year's Eve. My girlfriend came across the restaurant and was eager to try it because she had been wanting good seafood from North Carolina for months. Not only did we choose this place because of the rating but also because it's black owned. After patiently waiting around for them to open at 2pm we arrived back to the restaurant to place our order; in which we were very excited for. We both ordered the #2 Low Country Boil both the "nene sauce and classic seasoning". After placing our order around 2:05/2:10pm we waited almost TWO HOURS, we received our food around 3:50. Throughout this whole process I was very patient because I know they're a new and upcoming restaurant. However, once I received my food we proceeded to dig in although I noticed the food looked nothing like the pictures. Within eating the FIRST SHRIMP my food was uncooked. Shrimp was uncooked, potatoes were not "boiled" long enough and sausage tasted artificial. The best thing on the plate was the corn. I immediately contacted the restaurant and was told to return to get another boil. We then waited for almost 30 minutes, in the midst of waiting I decided to go inside the restaurant to get an update of time left. From the register I saw what should have been boiled shrimp in a skillet being cooked. Food seems to be steamed or cooked in a skillet and has no boil flavor or concept to it at all. The food seems like a perpetrated image of a seafood boil. I tried to have patience with the restaurant because I had personally connected with the owner(the husband). I left extremely disappointed... to wait 2+ hours to receive uncooked/under cooked food and then to have it remade to see it being cooked in a skillet. The complimentary pound of shrimp did not make up for how bothersome my visit was. OHHHHHH I forgot to mention the seafood eggs included in the boil. The shell was still on it and the seasoning on top. VERY DISAPPOINTING ! We ended up stopping at cook out for a meal before our 2 hour drive back home. I thought about returning and giving the restaurant a second chance but I'm going to pass on it. Btw we ended up redoing our on boil once we made it home. The clump consistency of "their sauce" was not eye or taste appealing. We used a boiler, Louisiana crab & shrimp boil seasoning and revamped out food. Wasn't worth the $40 spent. read more
