Cancelled service when moving and they created fictitious charges after confirming my account was paid in full and closed out. Customer service confirmed closure of account and then attempted to come back to charge for services allegedly performed 4-5 months earlier. Did not respond to requests for information or clarity as promised and could not even confirm my services had been cancelled. Extremely Disappointed After 8 Years of Loyalty - Avoid This Company! I've been a loyal customer of Home Team Pest Defense for over 8 years, but the service I've received over the past year has been nothing short of unacceptable. Despite multiple calls for help with an ant infestation in my home--three separate visits--I still have a serious ant problem. Out of frustration, I hired a different pest control company who immediately identified the issue: my property has tons of ants outside, and it's clear it hasn't been treated properly--if at all. What's worse? I called Home Team to give them a chance to make things right. I was told a manager would call me back. It's now been three days, and I've heard nothing. When I called again to cancel my service and request a refund, I was told they don't offer refunds--even after their repeated failures to resolve the issue. It's clear that Home Team Pest Defense doesn't care about their loyal customers or providing effective pest control. They don't return calls, don't resolve problems, and certainly don't take accountability for their poor service. If you're considering using this company, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This company has been excellent to deal with. Their customer service is great, they are able to handle any questions I throw at them. They come out promptly and will come out again if we need them to. They just sprayed for fire ants (thankfully!!!) and it's made a huge difference. They were recommended by our builder and it's been super easy to deal with them. read more

I've used Hometeam for several years. Quality was okay at first but has gone way way down. Management is incompetent and backs up the poor service work in the field. They want to come on their schedule hoping they can still charge you full price and you won't be available for them to treat the inside. Customer service was adequate but overall there are way too many reputable companies to go with. read more

This incompetent company lied about conducting pest control on my house over 5-6 years ago, and they have just started to call again requesting payment - for services that were never completed. Business must be slow Camera footage from all angles of the house proved that they never showed up yet they continued to bill. Look elsewhere for pest control. Please find another company if you're considering pest control. I personally should've listened to one of the half a dozen other companies that approached me to switch. We used home team cause it was the default for our new home build. After a couple years, can't do it anymore. Quarterly inspections are a joke! They come out, leave a few glue traps , spray a little around the house and that's it. Last guy didn't even pick up the old traps filled with bugs. And when I called to report this, they were extremely nonchalant about it. The last straw was them reporting our account to collections after a couple weeks of non payment (because I couldn't log into their annoyingly complicated website)! They sure could find some urgency to do that but sadly couldn't have that same urgency in customer care. Please beware and consider another company! read more

Scheduled removal of a red wasp nest on our back porch as a regular customer paying $118/quarter over the last 2 years. They never bothered to show up. The first time my wife called was on a Tuesday and they wanted us to wait until Saturday. Given that this made our back porch uninhabitable, I called them back to explain this was a big problem and we would appreciate their help in taking care of it asap. I was told they could do so on Thursday and I thanked the woman on the phone. Around 5pm Thursday nobody from HomeTeam bothered to come out. I called again and the same woman assured me our home was scheduled by end of business that day. I finally gave up hope around 9PM. No phone call to explain no follow up at all. My wife called again on Friday and this time she was told we were never scheduled for Thursday. Which means either our appointment was deleted or they completely lied when they told us the opposite two separate times. Either way, you get what kind of company they run. My wife was assured they would be there Saturday. Well here it is; Saturday and nobody has bothered to show up or even call to advise. I'd recommended using someone else for your pest control needs. HomeTeam isn't that interested in your business when it really matters the most. read more

Finally decided to choose HomeTeam Pest Defense for quarterly service and I'm glad I did. They had special pricing going on and since my new home has the Taexx system built in it ended up being a no brainer. Scheduling an appointment was a breeze and they call the day before to confirm your appointment and go over any questions you may have including questions on pricing. The tech BJ was great. He is very professional and took his time to explain the services he was going to be doing on the initial treatment. He even called half hour before letting me know he was on his way. I appreciate the fact that HomeTeam is up front with their costs and services. No hidden fees or surprises. They even provide free service calls between each quarterly service as needed. read more

While their product seemed to be good I could not trust them in my home. Our 20 year old babysitter felt she had to give her number away while the technician was servicing our home. She finally got him to leave. The manager apologized but they lost our trust. read more

From the first call to schedule the appointment for pest control I was impressed. The process was explained in great detail and I was assured that there would be no issues with cleanup or impact to my home from harsh chemicals. The tech arrived ON TIME and did a quick tour of my home and immediately began working. He knocked down cobwebs, wasp nests and began spraying and leaving bait traps. Before we knew it, he was done. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD INFO or sign up. We signed up almost 2 years ago because of our builder and the outside system. I noticed that we would get a bill for services but no one would come to the door and ask our problems after the first visit. I called and told them I didn't want services unless we were called and Home to confirm they were performed because on the initial visit we were told they would treat our yard. We keep our back gate locked. They act like this was agreeable. Then it happened once and they started billing again for services and no one had called to confirm. I called and cancelled the service. And months later I was called to say services were rendered and they wanted payment. My card was compromised so I had to get a new one and they couldn't autocharge. I told her no one contacted us about services and I was still seeing silverfish. She offered to "send someone back out" I declined as I didn't want the services I had already cancelled. Now they are still hassling me to pay when I went with another company who follows my wishes and dies the job right. read more
