Sharing our experience for the benefit of other contractors and service-based businesses. A consultation appointment had been scheduled in advance for a potential project. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected medical-related staffing issue within our office, we were unable to attend the appointment as originally planned. Situations like this are never ideal, but they can happen in any active business operation. Rather than approaching the matter with professionalism and flexibility, the communication that followed became unnecessarily combative and disproportionate to the situation, especially considering this was a complimentary estimate with no contractual agreement in place. Contractors invest significant unpaid time into project consultations, scheduling, travel, budgeting, and preliminary planning before any work is ever awarded. Respectful communication and reasonable expectations are important on both sides of that relationship. There were also several early indicators during discussions regarding project expectations and cost management that suggested the working relationship may have become difficult long term. This review is simply intended to help other professionals exercise caution, communicate clearly, and properly evaluate client relationships before committing substantial time and resources. 04/28/26 2:00pm, I was in the middle of a job on Buckeye and was looking for a specific size socket, went over to the tools section but felt immediately uncomfortable, I was being racially profiled by the store as the manager(appeared to be) was walking aisle per aisle with me until I noticed I was being followed. Yes I was offered for assistance when i walked in, but I knew what I was looking for and knew where to look. Since I declined their help, they must have assumed I was there to shoplift, I was wearing old work clothes and a dusty hat, . All tools are inside glass cases and even then the store managers followed me st least 5 aisles, moving with with me as I walked the aisles. I walked out mad but should have said something. First time ever being racially profiled at any store. Regardless of appearance racial profiling at the store should not be allowed nor condened specially by a store lead employee or manager. Unless you are white, or you are "Dressed to Impress" do not shop here.. You will be racially profiled and followed around the store. read more

Mary and Carlos were so very helpful. Everyone in the store was kind and helped me find what I needed in their huge selection! Mary helped me save $20! Overall value was excellent! Instead of spending almost $100 I got all of what I needed (for now) for under $75! read more

Went in to return a defect item I purchased and was told be the manager that they could only do store credit on the return .. no biggie that works then she says I have to do the store credit today .. want kind of customer service is this and this was for $5 .. I got a water and a beef stick and told them they needed to work on customer service and selling defective items and not returning customers money and making them use store credit that day or nothing read more

I was amazed by the service I received while visiting the Ace Hardware in Buckeye. I was helped by Jose to refill my propane tanks, he was very polite and respectful. During this same visit I was helped by Alex to make a few new set of keys. He was also very helpful, he made my keys while jose was filling the propane tanks. These young men made my visit very easy going. I was able to get in and out with no wasted time waiting for staff to help me. Every visit going forward I will be requesting the help of Jose and Alex, to make sure I am getting the best service possible. read more

I walked across the highway from Dr. Ryan, our Parrot Cisco super doctor. I was greeted as I walked in and immediately asked what I was looking for. I bought a hinge for a cupboard which ended up being the wrong one. Took it back the next day and they would not take it back because i had to rip the plastic bag open it came in. The manager is the one you have to look out for. The employees are fine ! Very helpful and friendly. I was quoted at about 10-15 percent "restocking fee" when I originally bought the piece (if I needed to return it). I did need up needing to return it and they had to grab a manager for it. It became 25% and I asked them where that number came from and he said it's always been that amount. It seems others that have left reviews have had a similar experience too. read more

Terrible service. One of the employees which was friendly and attentive helped me purchase an item. Asked about the return policy and was told one thing and when I came to return the item because it wasn't working correctly I was told by the owner that the restocking fee is higher then what I was originally told. I believe this gives Ace Hardware a bad name as they cannot hold true to their standard of returns. All this over a few dollars, took my money and was not a satisfied customer. read more

I went to this Ace Hardware the other day to get some half inch poly pipe they gave me five eights poly pipe I didn't notice till I got home I went back the next day and manager was in the front and I told her that they sold cut me the wrong piece of pipe and I thought she was gonna say oh sorry about that you know will make it right and all that first things out of her mouth is what we don't give refunds for cut pipe I said I don't care about a refund I just want you guys to make it right. I purchased a couple products at this store; and they give you a 21-day return policy; following their return policy I returned to the store for a refund on one of the products; a middle-aged woman employee looked at me and said, "What does this guy want?". She continued to rudely process the refund. Pathetic customer service at this store. read more
