Brisket Sammy. Pricey but very tasty. Nice size. Good flavor. Sauce helps the slight dryness
Glenn C.

Shorter review of the short review- Brisket sandwich is my recommendation. The wings and rib tips are also very tasty. This is a popular BBQ spot that I have been to a couple times which unfortunately had some dry meat the second time I was there. I would recommend going on a weekday as otherwise, the lines can be a bit prohibitive though that is the case for most of Industry City. If I was to recommend one thing, it would be the Brisket Sandwich. The brisket itself is a tad dry if you order it separately but on the sandwich where it's chopped and topped with onion, pickles, and a rather tasty sauce, it becomes much less dry and in fact pretty moist. For around $18, it's a sizable sandwich and quite delicious. In terms of actual barbecue outside of the sandwiches, as noted, the Brisket has some good smoke but it is a tad dry. The Pork Ribs were also not my favorite. If you were to get one thing here, the Beef Ribs are excellent though very expensive but you do get a big portion of course. The sauces help with the meat with my preference being the slightly sour one but if you need sauces for your meats, you're probably doing something wrong. While the BBQ is just alright, I actually like the other dishes a bit better. The Vietnamese Hot Wings were juicy and well flavored while the Jerk Rib Tips were excellent though more with a good BBQ tang than ribs. The side dishes are alright alright. I wasn't a big fan of the Pinto Beans as I found them a tad bland even with the pork added while the Pickles were well dill pickles which should probably just come with the meal. The Corn Bread is decent and the Mac was alright (could use a bit crisp as the texture was a bit boring but the flavor is OK.) This is not my favorite BBQ in the city though I haven't tried the original Red Hook location which I have heard is much better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice place to sit and eat at least.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Low 3

We got a half pound of brisket each and some Mac and cheese to share. Flavor wise, it was pretty decent. It wasn't mind blowing or anything, but it hit the spot. You can tell though that the meat has been sitting for a while. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself looked a bit odd and not fully clean. The bottles were sticky and it smelled like wet mop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The price also wasn't really worth it - it was nearly $70 for a pound of brisket and a large Mac and cheese. If you're really desperate for bbq and are in the area, I would recommend coming here. But if you can wait, I would recommend going elsewhere.

Great bbq! Came after spending a day on Coney Island and tried the pulled pork sandwich and chicken. It was delicious and the sauces were great.

Looking at the previous reviews, not a lot of love and appreciation goes into this place. I'll be here to balance and tip the scales. [[HIGHLIGHT]]An extension of Red Hook's location - happy to have an additional spot where it's not overly crowded and more room to stretch out and enjoy their signature bbq.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My boyfriend and I got the beef brisket sandwich, the Korean ribs, side of Cole slaw and Mac and Cheese, plus cornbread. The cornbread was all gone because it was that good - savory, fluffy, and right sweetness - he advertised this well to me. The brisket sandwich also was tenderized, flavorful, and very easy to engulf in minutes. The Korean ribs however was good but we got mixed reviews on it. It was cooked perfectly with the right charred taste and texture. But the sauce didn't do much for us. It is hard to define what Korean glazed ribs should taste like as it isn't common for their cuisine to use bbq sauce. You're used to the marinated galbi ribs in soy sauce, pear puree and garlic. Granted still perfectly cooked ribs and a winner if you like that bulgogi sweet and spicy sauce. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere is great, we got our food super quick and the seating was spacious to enjoy our big bbq spread with a bunch of wipes from your classic saucy bbq comforts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved having the option of outdoor seating to enjoy the nice Spring weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good place to run to if the original Red Hook's location makes you wait too long.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice outdoor seating area between the buildings in industry city.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dog friendly as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ribs were nice and tender, brisket was a bit dry. Queso was really good. Everything was kind of pricey in my opinion for the portion sizes. The food pictured plus a soda and a cider were $90

First time at Hometown and really enjoyed it! I found all of the food to be so flavorful and actually worth the price in terms of quality and quantity. My only real note is the much of the meat wasn't hot. I'd say it was warm to room temperature. So, that was a little disappointing. The flavors still hit though! The staff was nice but the food took about 20-30 mins to come out and didn't come out all at once. We had to wait an additional 15 mins for the second half of our order. Most certainly willing to try it again and see if it was just a busy day

If you're craving hearty meat options then look no further....there is brisket, ribs, pulled pork and jerked meat just to mention a few items on the menu. Portions are mighty hefty so be ready to eat. The are ample sides such as mac & cheese, the baked beans are delish, cornbread is a must try. The pulled pork was perfectly spiced and extremely tender. I ordered the wings and they were superb, I also tasted the jerk ribs which gets a 10 out of 10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spacious eatery is rustic and lively with ample picnic style tables and a few high top seats and live music (singer and a small band).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The crew in the kitchen has mastered moving the ordering process right along so if you see a crowd don't be deterred. The staff is friendly and really clears up the empty plates when you're done eating. There is a full bar also. Don't worry if you can't finish the food just walk to the end of where you ordered your food and there are several size plastic platters, tops for the condiments and plastic bags to pack up your meal for leftovers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom was clean and well stocked as well as the restaurant tables each with bbq sauce and hot sauce available for you if needed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only suggestion I would have for some diners as crazy as it sounds is to bring utensils, the restaurant only has plastic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I personally am not a fan on plastic utensils especially when trying to cut wings or ribs....yes I know this is meant to be finger foods but I like real utensils. This is only my personal opinion but it something to keep in mind. We found parking less than a block from Hometown Bar-B-Que which was great.

Delicious food!! Definitely try the ribs, brisket, Mac, Pinot, collards and cornbread. Looking forward to trying here again when I'm in the area. Service was very fast services made great recommendations and were patient and pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was casual and chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

2 Pastrami sandwiches $56 both looks like this all black.

Very sad pastrami sandwiches 2 for $56. All black pastrami no pink in 2 sandwiches. I reached out on email since the phone number Is out of service. Email support said nothing is wrong even after I sent photos.

I went here in Industry City on Friday, I ordered the Vietnamese Style Cauliflower and the Mac n Cheese. Honestly the Cauliflower was so spicy that I couldn't finish it. However I did enjoy the Mac n Cheese. The lady at the counter was nice when I picked up my order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance outside the restaurant was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Easy to order. Came in on a Sunday Labor Day weekend. They were quite busy but staff was very attentive and helpful. I didn't wait that long to order at the register. You also have the option to order online. We got the Mac and cheese and 1/2 pound brisket. The Mac and cheese could use a little more flavor and the brisket was amazing. The brisket was filling and it went great with the sticky sauce. Also got the corn bread which you can't go wrong with. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have indoor and outdoor dining. It's very spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

JERK RIB TIPS
Marsha J.

Food came out quick. Prices were reasonable for industry city. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of indoor and outdoor (with fire pit!) seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pros: - brisket and ribs were perfectly cooked - Mac and cheese - collard greens had a ton of meat - cornbread was perfectly cooked - bbq sauce and hot and sweet sauce - they have mexican Coca Cola :) Average - rib tips - Cole slaw Service: food came out very fast

Not worth, bbq use to be good, now its mediocre at best. Asks for half a pound and they try to make you buy closer to a pound.

Sometimes the best finds happen when you're focused on family and stumble into excellence. The food is the real deal. Bold, authentic, and done with discipline. Every bite reflects craftsmanship and pride. No shortcuts. No hype. Just results. The open, spacious layout creates an atmosphere that's relaxed, energetic, and inviting--perfect for unwinding, connecting, and enjoying great food without feeling boxed in. It has that Brooklyn-meets-business-meets-community vibe that works. And the pastrami? Memorable. Elite. The kind of flavor that sticks with you and makes you plan your next visit before you've even left.

Lines at all the big spots (Red Hook Tavern, Brooklyn Crab, and Hometown) were long, but we decided to wait it out and get food here. Lines was not just long but didn't move for a bit. Despite that we were able to get seating. Like many BBQ places, you order at the register and they'll give you whatever is already prepare and then bring over the rest of your order at your table. Best dish by far was the Korean sticky ribs. The pulled pork sandwich wasn't great; not hot at all, just room temperature. The Vietnamese wings had good flavor but the skin is very tight (it's an order of a few whole wings, not drums and flats). Cornbread and dill pickles were great, potato salad was a bit too vinegary for me. They had the US World Cup match on, but not the audio until after they scored a goal. Felt like they forgot to switch the audio. A little disappointing. Overall a good but not mind blowing experience.

While it's a pricier meal, all the food that you get is well worth it. I really loved how many different kind of meat, seafood, veggies, and more that they have. The fact that it's all on skewers makes cooking and eating easy. It's truly such a wonderful dining experience. We came with a large party of 11 and we were more than satisfied. Everything was delicious and I love how easy it is to get more skewers on your own. They also have a large selection of drinks from soy milk to herbal teas. We got the hotpot and skewers combo and the experience was quite nice and different. We ordered the soup base for hotpot with the workers and the skewers as well. We ordered skewers and whatever offerings that came with this option and then went to get stuff for hotpot. I think they have a good enough variety and the fun part is to put the sticks in the hotpot and eat off of it as well. WIth the skewers options, I think each person gets a scallop with vermicelli but we didnt know and we asked for seconds (whooops). the lady was nice enough to give it to us anyway. The workers are super attentive and very helpful. As for drink options, they have a variety of sodas, wong lo jie, fruity drinks. I was def happy even though I tried not to drink too much. They also have "snacks" on the back side by the drink fridge that you can help yourself to. Will definitely be back to try the grilll fish option!
