    Pad See Ew
    Bryan V.

My new favorite Thai restaurant in northwest Houston! The food here is cooked and flavored so well. The owners are extremely friendly and love to hear feedback on their dishes from your table. I can feel the passion and love behind every bite. It's a large restaurant with plenty of seating and parking in the lot. They also have lunch specials. Here's what I've tried: Pad see ew: this is my baseline dish for just about any Thai restaurant. They do it very well here. Perfect ratio of greens, noodles and meat. The sauce is delicious. Pad mama: I'm usually not a fan of instant noodle dishes so this wasn't my favorite. My friends enjoyed it a lot though. Noodles have a lot of flavor to them. Thai green tea: on the sweeter and creamier side if you're into that. I could taste the tea aroma which is a good thing. Pad ka pao: Very tender meat, very saucy... very good. Wings Zaab: I love the seasoning powder on this! Zesty and delicious. Addictive even. Yellow curry: pretty standard yellow curry. Usually hard for curry to stand out to me so this gets a passing score. The best part about this restaurant is their chili oils, powders, and peppers on the side. If they don't bring you a tray of those, make sure you ask. They elevate the dishes to a whole new level. The chili garlic oil is so addicting!

Wow! Such delicious Thai food!! Super fresh and tasty, they also have lunch specials that come with an appetizer and for +$2 add a drink. The owners are super sweet and kind, they definitely give you that home-cooked meal feel! They come out and have a conversation and help you find the right dish for you and your group. I'll definitely be back. All of the dishes were perfectly seasoned and had a great balance of carb, veggie, and protein! The plating was super cute and easily shareable. My personal favorite is the pad see ew which is my baseline for rating Thai cuisine, they did not disappoint and it's definitely what I expect from a Thai restaurant.

This is an incredible restaurant that is new to its neighbors but is well established in their food expertise!!! TLDR; if I could play this place more than five stars, I would. All of their food is well prepared and well-plated. =] **** Beef Nom Guk Salad - the beef is cooked well and juicy. The thinly sliced pieces absorb a lot of flavors in the sauce that's used. There is a deep savory flavor with strong notes of citrus and Mild sweetness to balance out the flavor profile. *** Pad Se Eww - The sauce base for the stir fry is amazingly well done. The noodles absorbed a good amount of flavor but not overly soaked. You can taste the complex notes of soy sauce with sugar and other underlying notes. The chicken is well cooked and timed well. **** Beef Fried Rice -- the fried rice is done very well. The rice is infused with savory beef juices and very fragrant. The thinly slices of beef is VERY SOFT and SMOOTH. **** Mama Stir Fry Noodle - very reminiscent of my younger days as a college undergraduate where you can stir fry Mama instant noodles with fresh vegetables The staff is very nice and very attentive. The interior is very well designed and put together. This is a relatively new place but i really really hope that they do well. This business deserves to thrive! Please support!

This new Thai restaurant was several months in the making, but the wait was worth it! My wife and I ate there last night for the first time. We ordered the Spinach Cheese Rolls and Kai Satay (chicken satay) on the advice of Jay, our waiter. He was not wrong - they were excellent choices! For entrees, we ordered Panang Curry Beef and Pad Kra Time (garlic pepper). Also excellent! Though the restaurant was not crowded while we were there, we noticed quite a few take-out and delivery orders being filled. The kitchen was quick to make our food as well, and the quality couldn't have been better.

    $25 for corkage? Ouch!

I found this place close to my parents' house on Yelp. I was craving Thai food. The waiter was very attentive. I was glad to see many dishes that are vegetarian and tofu was an option as a protein in many of them. I ordered a tom kha soup with tofu. It was limey and absolutely delicious. However it's $8 and for the amount you get, that's pricey. My Dad had rice with chicken. The portion was generous. He wasn't crazy about the flavor. I couldn't give my opinion as didn't try it as I'm pescetarian. We ordered a chocolate lava cake to share. It was served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. It was good. The waiter said they're getting a license to sell alcohol. In the meantime, they're charging $25 for corkage. That's abominable.

This is a newly renovated Thai restaurant that took over another Thai restaurant. They did an excellent job with renovations. The place is bright, modern and clean. Excellent menu and Thai hot is really, Thai hot. This is a Halal Thai restaurant, no pork is offered. Overall very nice and will be returning.

The food here is truly authentic and full of flavor everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The staff was warm and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. If you're looking for genuine Thai cuisine with great service, this place is definitely worth a visit.

The interior was well modeled. Clean and chic. Ordered a takeout but was disappointed for the amount of food received for the price I paid. I ordered pad Thai and panang curry and was $18 each. the amount of food you get seemed overpriced. Food was ok but would I come back for the price of the food? Probably not I'll give them a second chance later

I'm a foodie from NYC, and this place really surprised me in the best way. Clean, minimal space and a very chill vibe. I went with a local friend who's Thai, and everything tasted legit. We ordered tom yum, spicy papaya salad, and beef salad -- all full of real Thai flavor, nice heat, and super well balanced. Nothing toned down. The host was so sweet and friendly, which made the experience even better. We ended with mango sticky rice and sweet banana, and honestly... perfect way to finish the meal. Not too sweet, just comforting and spot on. Authentic Thai food, great service, and definitely worth coming back. Solid spot by NYC foodie standards.

    Fresh Rolls (shrimp)

My husband and I been here a few times and the food has impressed me every-time! We always order the Tom Yum soup and fresh rolls with shrimp (soft spring rolls)..... These two appetizers Never disappoint!!!!! We have also had the Wings Zab chicken wings and the wings are humongous with tons of juicy meat! All the main dishes were so delicious with such flavors! You can also turn the heat levels up, which we do every-time! The service is outstanding! They are so sweet and attentive, and always have a smile on their face. The ambiance is very comfortable, clean and relaxing. I highly recommend going here, you won't be sorry!

    Whole Fried Branzino

Drove by this spot and decided to drop by and I'm so glad I did. Decor was very nice and spacious. Service was fast, welcoming and very nice. I ordered the wings and it had a nice tang with good spice in it. I also ordered the whole fried branzino and it was delicious! I could drink the dipping sauce it came with. Overall, if I'm ever in this area again, I'm dropping in! Do yourselves a favor and drop in for some delicious Thai food.

We visited for lunch on a Tuesday and had no wait to be seated. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The spring rolls and dumplings were both very good and made a great start to the meal. The Pad Thai had nice flavor and was enjoyable. My husband ordered his dish at a spice level 4 (their highest spice level), but felt it wasn't quite as spicy as expected, so keep that in mind if you like a lot of heat. The portions were very generous, and we definitely had leftovers. The kids' chicken fried rice was a huge portion and was surprisingly good. We also enjoyed the mango sticky rice for dessert--it was a great way to end the meal. The only disappointment was the Thai tea, which tasted a little weak compared to what we've had at other Thai restaurants. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was good, and the portions were excellent. We'd be happy to return and try more items from the menu.

Soft music, white and red walls with Thai decor. Natural lighting during the day with warm interior lighting. It appears that there has been a makeover to the restaurant. I like the new look more. It seems more upscale in appearance. Dress code here is business casual. 4. Food - I've had their YELLOW CURRY WITH CHICKEN AND WHITE RICE. Cleanliness - dining area is clean. The waitstaff keeps this place in tip top shape. The only complaint I have, although not exactly about cleanliness, I would suggest that management take a look at the lock in the men's restroom. Although it was locked, someone was able to enter still. SUMMARY This is a petite Thai cafe. Everything about this place was enjoyable. I would definitely come back to try again and will highly recommend this place.

For drinks, I got the Mekhong Mojito and it was sweet and refreshing! For appetizers, we got the crispy squid and the crispy wonton- crispy squid was good but if you had to choose between the two, get the crispy wonton! As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. The curry broth with coconut milk was fragrant and with the toppings that came on the side (i.e. lime, onions/shallots, mustard greens, etc) enhanced the dish. The flat egg noodles were bouncy and the shrimp was solid. If you're stuck between choosing a curry dish and a noodle dish, get the best of both worlds and order the Khao Soi! As for my friend's spicy red snapper, I tried a bite and the spices/texture in the dish complimented the fish very well. For dessert, we ordered the classic Mango Sticky Rice! The mango was soft/sweet, the rice and sauce had that salty coconutty flavor. Aside from the delicious food, the interior is cozy and the waiters here were friendly and gave great advice on what to order. They have that street food vibe as a well representation of their name, Rim Tanon, which means roadside. With dedicated parking that fills up quick during peak times, it may be difficult to locate parking as it is shared with a few other restaurants and the spaces are quite tight. We tried their appetizers including Salmon Rolls (flavorfully packed with cream cheese, salmon, and spinach in a crispy shell and loving that actually spicy mayo on the side), Thai Style Jerky (deep fried and sun dried marinated pork and beef served with sticky rice rolls and side spicy tamarind sauce, a bit too dry/chewy), Fried Tofu (perfect little triangles, so good by itself or with the side sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts), Chive Pancake (deep fried and chive packed triangles with a slight chew to it, great by itself or with it's spicy soy sauce companion). As for the mains, the Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is a good value as it was loaded with all sort of fruits of the sea (shrimp, squid, and mussel), with prominent lemongrass and kaffir lime aroma, but a bit wet or moist for a fried rice dish, the Crabmeat Omelet is served with a nice portion of lump crabmeat where you can taste the flavor of the seafood and add sriracha to liking, and the Beef Pad See Ew is made appetizing with wok charred flat rice noodles along with a savory blend of soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The portion size is alright and filling for a moderately hungry individual, though it would've been even better a tad bigger for those coming in hangry. I'll be back for more when I'm craving some modern Thai food and especially want to try their curry dishes. Service was quick and efficient, attentive to refills on drinks and friendly!
