Skeptical. Although the person who helped us was super friendly. And I hate that I have to say something. But, it needs to be done. As a business where you encounter blood. Changing gloves constantly and before any person is a MUST. Cleaning and wiping the tray down after each person is a MUST! Working in health care, hygiene and cleanliness is important in order to prevent contamination and spreading of any germs and diseases. My friend and I had our piercings checked out by a well known piercer in the area. And he told us that both of our piercings were done incorrectly. My friends hidden helix was not hidden and my daith was not pierced in the correct area. The jewelry that was used into a newly pierced location was not appropriate for new piercings. Gold plated are not recommended to be used on new piercings. If the correct jewelry was not available, we should have been notified and educated that it's not recommended due to the increased risks of an infection because the gold can flake off exposing the materials underneath which can lead to complications. Not only was I told that I couldn't get my septum done because my nose was too small, I am lucky that it wasn't done here. I was able to get my septum pierced elsewhere and was educated on how they figure out where and how it is done. Avoid this place. Unless you want to risk yourself, that's your choice. read more

I got my navel piercing done and they twisted the ball wrong. It should've been healed by now, yet occasional pus and blood was still coming out of it when cleaning it. I went to a different piercer to get it removed as it was irritating me in my daily life, and they almost couldn't take off the top ball due to it being forced on so tight. read more

I've been getting pierced forever and know good APP practices when I see them -- Hone does not have them. I stopped in on Saturday to replace the top piercing in my triple forward helix (healed 10+ years). Simple request. The front desk girl was clueless, the helper with colorful hair was frazzled, and neither actually relayed what I needed to the piercer. The piercer thought I was just swapping jewelry. Once corrected, she reopened the hole with a taper (fine) but then put in a short bar -- the kind you'd only use on a healed piercing. If you have to reopen a hole, obviously swelling is coming. She didn't offer a longer bar, didn't explain anything, nothing. I even asked, "Shouldn't this be longer?" and got basically no response. By Monday, my ear was red, hot, insanely swollen, and the jewelry was almost fully engulfed. There was no way I was going back there. I went to Make Me Holey, and Taryn had to remove the jewelry entirely because the piercing was too compromised to save. Hone looks sleek and "beginner-friendly," but they don't know what they're doing. I'm hearing more and more horror stories, and now I've lived one. If you're new to piercings, please don't let this shop ruin it for you -- there are actual reputable studios in the area. read more

I went with my boyfriend on Saturday 3/15/2025 and Tara did a great job making us feel comfortable and safe during the whole experience! It was my boyfriends first time getting pierced and she walked him through the whole process of piercing his ears which made him feel like he was in good hands. I got two high nostril nose piercings (something I've been wanting for over a year) and she did a great job! She really took the time to make sure they were symmetrical and was patient with me while I was checking them out from all angles. 10/10 I recommend Tara if you're looking for someone who will take care of you and get the job done right! It was my first time at this studio, and I got a mini curation with a tragus and double helix. I bit nervous at first since I was unfamiliar with the neighbourhood, but the inside of the shop is nice modern aesthetic and SUUPER clean. The staff were all friendly, and the piercing room was sterile and well cared for. Ashley was my piercer, and she was great. She made alleviated my concerns about if I had the anatomy for a tragus, and confirmed the jewellery selections multiple times to make sure they were the ones I wanted. The staff wears scrubs and you can hear the steriliser in the back working, so you know they're doing their due diligence! When I went in I wasn't aware of their 2 for 1 Tuesday special until heard it mentioned to another client. I was happy to pay the original service I'd booked (which is still very reasonably priced for three piercings), but at check-out they mentioned it and offered the special anyways! Went in with my boyfriend yesterday to get our noses pierced, and one of his ears pierced as well. The girl at the front (I wish I'd gotten her name) was very helpful in getting us checked in, while balancing multiple customers, seeing that it got quite busy after we walked in. The piercer, Ashley, and the girl at the front, assisted us amazingly with our piercings and jewelry! Helping us select the proper jewelry for the looks we were going for. They even helped me change out and somewhat curated a new piece of jewelry for my older lip piercing that I had! High quality service, and despite the shop being small, it was incredibly organized, even while being busy. I recommend this place to anyone looking to get a new piercing. Went with my girlfriend to take advantage of the BOGO deal on tuesdays. I typically go to Players Ink but my friend wanted to get a matching set. It was stupid expensive, even with the deal. The jewelry options were nothing to write home about. Clearly they didn't know what they were doing because I picked out a snake and it ended up being too tight to accommodate any swelling. So I had to go to players ink for Raf to clean it and switch out the piercing to a plan stud. Wouldn't recommend. read more

They really love pushing clients away. Ashley is rude answering the phones for questions and also when you walk in.. I needed a dermal removed (I got it done somewhere else). Ashely didn't want to do it because I needed it removed for an MRI. My dermal wasn't infected and it was healing nicely. I also work in medical.. I just know that piercers remove dermals better due to knowing placement and I wouldn't have to pay for sutures. She was afraid to touch me because I was going in for an MRI. Which doesn't make sense. I'm glad I found others who were very much willing to do it and more educated and less afraid to take in clients. The response from the owner doesn't make sense. You can do dermals, but won't remove dermals? Mind you I called and they said they'd do it.. then called me back saying no because of the MRI. Piercings are all cutting into someone's skin. You were just afraid and don't have any faith in your own craft. I'd advise for others to just go somewhere else. This place isn't worth it and they aren't educated enough to run a piercing store.. read more

We were visiting from WA, and my 17 year old daughter had been wanting to get her septum pierced. Where we are from in WA, it is hard to find a place that allows minors. I did my research ahead of time and came across this place. I loved the convenience of being able to schedule the appointment online. I saw great reviews for Jay and septum piercings so that is who we scheduled with. On the day of, we were running behind and were able to push the appointment to a later one. This was all done online. We arrived 15 minutes prior to the appointment which allowed us time to fill out the consent forms. We were offered bottled water and snacks. We also enjoyed their music playlist. Before and after care instructions were clear, and the procedure was very quick. Jay allowed my daughter to take as much time as she needed after the procedure. Our piercing shop closed so I looked up a place that could do so and I found this place. I had a great experience, I came in with a lip piercing I've had for 12 years and decided to go for snake bites. She took her time and lined it up & made it look pretty even. She did a great job! I would've given 5 stars if they would've let me sign for my family as I'm her guardian, but they wanted documents which is weird because I've never had any issues doing so, she has her whole body and face pierced so it was a first & I've taken her to get them pierced every single time at our old shop we used to go to but they closed unfortunately. I was told my jewelry was long enough that it won't heal over (after telling him about my last experience) and guess what happened...it healed over my jewelry. Came here for their Black Friday soft opening deal last year for a conch piercing. The shop said a bunch of piercers got sick and called out that day so they were running really behind on all the appointments and gave me the options of waiting an hour or two to get pierced or to reschedule and they'll honor the Black Friday deal. I rescheduled for the following Monday, which was before their actual grand opening so I was the only client there for my new appointment. I thought the place was very cute and the piercing room that I was in was very clean. My piercer was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable the whole time. I'm very glad that I was able to reschedule, as my new appointment didn't feel rushed at all and was much less overwhelming than the day of the Black Friday event. My conch has healed by now and gave me zero problems. Definitely had a good experience here! read more

I made an appointment online excited to try this place. Made the appointment and realized I n couldn't make it. This was very late at night as I have weird hours. I cancelled within a couple hrs. Woke up to find a cancellation fee. I would understand if I had the appointment set and I cancelled last minute. I literally had the appointment a couple hrs in the middle of the night. Not fair. Everyone was nice enough, service was fine. what isnt fine is my piercing. I went in to get my tragus done, and after examinatio, this is prabably the worst piercing I've ever received. I also know it isn't because of my tragus anatomy, because 1) i have my other tragus pierced, and 2) the piercer literally complimented my anatomy. the piercing is not on my tragus, it is barely on my ear! the front is off of my ear at all, its crooked, and the back touches the inside of my ear canal. I also have a long tragus, yet the piercing is half off of it. i've taken it out, this is so disappointing. read more

I have time stamps from text messages, as to how long I stayed in your shop which was about 40 mins and it would've been less if I didn't have to wait in the lobby after deciding to leave. I wish I could leave zero stars. I came in a little after 3pm as a walk-in. I was greeted and asked to fill out a form and hand over my ID--so far, so good. But things quickly went downhill from there. First, the jewelry selection was incredibly limited for a piercing shop. I picked out two pairs I liked, only to be told they didn't actually have them. I was ready to walk out, but they showed me another option that was cute, so I decided to go ahead. I expressed concern about placement since this would be my third lobe piercing, and I wanted to see how it would look on my ear. They told me I'd be able to go over placement once in the chair. Fair enough. In the back, the piercer marked my ears and showed me the placement, but I just didn't like how it looked. That's not on her--it was more of a personal realization that maybe a third piercing just isn't for me. I told her I'd need to think about it and would come back later if I decide to go through with it. She said, "That's fine." As I started to get up and leave, she suddenly stopped me and asked me to wait in the lobby. I was confused but did as asked. Another employee at the front asked if everything was okay, and I explained it didn't work out. I also mentioned I wasn't sure why I was being asked to wait. Then, the piercer came out, told the front desk person she needed to "show her something in the back," and a couple minutes later the front desk person came back out to inform me--very casually--that they were going to charge me $25 + tax for a 'consultation.' A consultation I was never told about. Nothing on the website mentions this. No one told me beforehand. And all that "consultation" entailed was me holding a mirror while the piercer held an earring to my ear.They claimed it's "to make sure the piercers get paid," which is fine in theory--but you can't spring a hidden charge on someone after the fact. Be upfront. Be clear. Don't trap people into surprise fees for something they didn't even agree to.This was such a shady and disappointing experience. I'll never come back, and I absolutely won't recommend this place to anyone. If you value transparency and professionalism, go literally anywhere else. read more

I recently visited Hone piercing to get my tongue pierced .When I walked in it was about 95 degrees in the studio , the studio was dirty , everything looked like it needed to be dusted . There was 2 guys , front desk and the piercer . The guy who pierced me Who actually didn't even introduced himself, he rushed the process giving me little -No- information on any after care instructions, told me to put my tongue in a shot glass with salt & water and that is it.... Honestly it has been the worst piercing I've ever gotten ,He doesn't know what he is doing but he acted like he was a professional . My piercing was noticeably cricket and they even had the audacity to take a picture of my tongue for my file and mentioned it looked great...P.S they offered me a $10.00dllr Discount to leave a positive review(very unprofessional and against yelp and Google's business policies. Got 4 piercings done here yesterday. Tragus, flat and third lobe (on both ears). Made an appointment about 40 minutes before. Receptionist was polite and so friendly. Make sure to do the consent form before arriving! Goes a lot smoother. No wait at all. Now onto the piercings. I believe Paul (?) did my piercings. He was knowledgable and very sweet about the piercings. He was honest when I asked for hoops instead of studs for the initial piercings (I know some places do it, but I was bad and wanted to see if I could get them already. He was responsible!) They don't have much of a selection but I went with the CZ studs. Piercing was virtually painless and very quick. Tragus took a bit because I got a meaty tragus, lol. Paul used a light to see through my ear for my flat to make sure he didn't pierce any blood vessels which was neat. However.. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because of the flat. It was painless and quick, BUT the piercer accidentally put the jewelry backwards. The CZ is on the back, and the heart flatback is on the front! I was pretty disappointed when the accident happened. Paul was super apologetic and so was the receptionist. I did appreciate that. And the heart doesn't look bad, just an expectation was not met. Overall a good experience. Place was immaculately clean and I really look for cleanliness in a piercing/tattoo shop. Was sent off with a complementary bottle of saline solution. read more

I have since learned the clamp that was used on my nipple was a septum clamp. & a catheter shouldn't even be used on nipple piercings. I feel like the piercers at this studio lack the necessary knowledge and experience to actually perform the procedures they are doing. I've unfortunately removed my piercings because after 2 failed attempts, they get no more chances. I genuinely hope everyone does their research before going to Hone. From now on I will only go to app (association of professional piercers) certified studios ONLY. read more

Do not go here!!! I got my conch pierced for their black friday sale. Very very limited jewelry selection without well known brands. They were disorganized and took a bit of time to find if the jewelry was even available, and it was early in the day so it wasn't hectic. Paul did my piercing and it seemed to go okay. Took care of it and came back ~6 weeks later. Piercer (unknown name, she had colorful hair I think) said it was still swollen and cleaned the jewelry and my ear quite roughly. It was bloody for the next few days. Came back ~3 months later. Piercer (unknown name, she had dark braided hair) shortened the bar slightly and said there were keloids forming (which are really bumps, but she didn't seem to know). Was again disorganized trying to find the shorter jewelry. All 3 times piercers tried to push the saline solutions with add ons like tea tree oil and vitamin D which I have heard are not good for healing piercings. Finally went to a reputable piercer a couple weeks later who said the angle was no good for healing and recommended taking it out, and the third piercer should have recommended the same. I haven't bumped or slept on the piercing since the third visit, so although it could have possibly been my fault if the initial piercing migrated, they should have told me earlier. But the piercer did say they usually wouldn't see such a large change in the angle and it's much more likely it was pierced badly to begin with (you want close to a 90deg angle). In the future, I would go to a place that is APP certified or at least has the name and portfolios of the piercers. I would go somewhere and pay a little more for a piercing, especially for anything more than a lobe piercing, to maximize the chance of healing. This place seems to have incentivized good reviews early on and they did lots of advertising which worked on me, but don't let them fool you too. read more

The staff were super kind and fun to talk to, I spontaneously wanted to have my bellybutton pierced and Kholay did the job quick, easy, and painless (might have just been my pain tolerance, idk, but it seriously was the most painless piercing I have gotten, and I have 6 others). I'm so happy with my new piercing as it boosted my confidence, and I will definitely come back.
