Not quite Honest, they installed new engine at the end of 2024 and gave me a hard time about checking it out a few weeks later when it was shakIng. I called my credit card and had them hold payment so they can fix it and they did, spoke to CC and released paymen. 3 months later the car is smoking at burning oil and now they don't want to look at it because of what i did. They are not owed anything because payment was given back to them. Spoke the Ramon there which is worthless because he wouldn't give me his bosses number or help me in any way. Got the owners number from a source and basically got no where with him either (Joseph Koehnen, Riverside,IL.) he basically laughed at me and said good luck. Repair was over 14k! This place is absolutely wonderful if you need any type of repair. Dan, Ramon and the technician Justin did an amazing job on diagnosing my car, informing me on the cost and how long it will take. As a female I'm always worried about getting ripped off in the automotive industry but I have never felt more safe, relaxed and happy to get my car fixed. The waiting room is amazing due to the comfortable seating, snacks, beverages and television. I also enjoyed that I could drop my car off at night, fill out a form and put my keys in the key drop. Another plus is that where you drop off your keys it's locked! Another part I love about their service is that they send you a link reviewing a 30-point inspection they have conducted with pictures of your car and the parts they are talking about. Following that they give you a call to explain it in more detail and helping you prioritize what they should fix first in order of importance. Plus a lot of their parts come with a 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty ensuring you get what you paid for out of the service they provide to you. It's not cheap, but no car repairs are cheap unless you do them yourself. Payed 800 for sway bar kit replacement and not only is it not the correct parts but I now have major issues to CV joints and a very suspicious oil leak. Went for inspection of the work at Chevy and gave copies to Honest1 and they not only deny using wrong parts they will not give refund or respond to the complaint I made to Better Business Bureau. I went through a bad car situation that another auto shop caused this year and I hope this review isn't too premature; (I'll keep an eye and correct if needed) but it's well deserved. I owe a grateful thank you of patience and ease, esp to Dan and the team. Another shop either lied about even doing the work they charged me for or better yet intentionally put new parts on top covering up bad parts causing further damage and stress. Initial quotes and billing were deliberately confusing to justify charging $705.00 labor on replacing a fuel pump control module and assembly on the 2010 Audi A5. The initially quoted $413 labor ($806 in parts) with their parts and $435 labor when brining my own parts, Even though it is a bit high normally for that kind of job, I agreed since my front seat is not functional and the work will require moving the front seat. When the work was done I was charged $705.00 because of $270.00, 2 hours labor diagnostics that I evidently was quoted prior and I have approved ( they claim) but somehow slipped my memory. I am not into debating charges over the phone but I have learnt my lesson. Had chk. eng light pertaining to emissions fault. They did a diagnosis and came up with a leaky fuel tank. Sent photos of all items needing to be repl. Plus view of bubbles at the seam. As it wasn't leaking fuel. they later on admitted to have sprayed soapy water on it in leu of actually going to the trouble of smoking the tank. So that produced the bubbles. Slip shod for sure. Parts amounted to over $3100 plus labor, total. $4400 plus. Parts only available from Japan. 15 or more week lead time, if at all. Went to a shop to have them drop the tank so I could have it sealed. They said lets check it out first. Came up with a leaky seal at the level sender gauge. They actually smoked the tank which "Honest? One admitted they did not. Front service person stated that at first. After I told her what the second place found, by smoking the tank, she reverted to saying they did smoke test it, and I know they didn't as I'd called previously. This began at Oct. 5 and ran through the end of the month, causing me much distress and time wasted trying to find repl. tanks. Got the problem solved, parts repl. and no more chk, eng. light. Called there to tell them, her what I ended up with, she argues with me, " Joe I'm looking at the photo of the bubbles at the seams now, " And this after informing her it's fixed., problem solved. Nope denying it all as they were right but couldn't repair it as parts not available in country. Batch of lame brains as they didn't even do the due diligence to smoke test the system which is basic for checking for leaks. And I spent much time and more money applying sealants along the seam for the non-existent "leak." And still they deny the actual result as I got it repaired for a fraction of the cost. Honestly, they are the least honest or reliable. but they are sneaky as hell. Ridiculous. But, It cost me $124 for their ,,: diagnosis." Nice eh? read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!! Did not tighten lug nuts on front driver side wheel (have video but not sure how to post on yelp). Drove off and steering wheel wobbled at higher speeds like it wheels were not aligned. Within a day or so the wheel made a ton of noise which made me realize what happened. Could twist lugs with fingers when I got out of the vehicle. ALSO DID NOT put oil back into my car or at least enough. I had wondered why there was a sound when turning and it was because no oil pressure on timing chain and would cause it to rattle. Took a few weeks to figure why it made that noise. Coworker who is smart with cars said check oil and almost no oil in the engine. Immediate filled it and it took 4 quarts!!!!!!! Always took my car to dealer prior and one time not going there was a huge mistake. Definitely trashed the engine. Also worth mentioning, this place was not less expensive than dealer. They also changed a belt, luckily no problem with that. read more

Spent close to $500 on my car here earlier in the week, then took our other car in- it needed a diagnostics check-$140+ dollars spent- just to tell me I needed $1200+ More work to it. Whatever happened to free estimates or reasonably priced ones- would be nice if they said- hey I know it's a lot for an estimate- but we appreciate your earlier business and would like to keep you a customer by offering you.....anything off would've shown smart customer service. $140+ just to plug it in and monitor codes-is 50% too much. read more

Amazing service! I am a newly single mom barely scraping by financially. I was given a car by a member of my church. They took great care of it and I am so unbelievably grateful! The car is a 2006 though and after getting the plates, ins, title transferred over I just barely scraped enough together to get an oil change since I found a coupon for this place. I had never been there before so it wasn't like I was a customer who had previously spent a lot of money there. They went beyond anything I could imagine! They did a quick yet thorough oil change. During the inspection they said my battery and air filter weren't looking so good. They didn't just tell me though, they sent pictures to my phone... As standard procedure! After explaining my financial situation they said I could definitely wait but they would be really worried about the battery if it got much colder out (and it did!!) I ended up replacing the battery but they didn't have it in stock and I had less than an hour before I had to be at a meeting. Not only did they have the battery delivered and installed during that time but they also put on my license plates on the front and the back. I couldn't get the back ones on because the screws were rusted so they had to saw them off with an electric saw or something and put new ones on. They didn't charge me for anything other than the battery and my coupon price of the oil change, which was around $20. They have definitely earned my business and I have told a lot of people about this since then. This is the first time I truly have felt like an auto repair shop was honest. Very prompt response through yelp, made it my go to since I am local. They even had a shuttle, picked me up at my house when the car was done, very courteous. The only reason why it's not a 5 star review is because the diagnosis was around $130, which is higher than my Subaru dealership ($90) & that it was not ready for pickup same day. That being put aside, the work they had to do was spot on & done right. I needed a serious fuel systems clean, ignition coil, one spark plug & wires for spark plugs for $960ish. This was on a 2011 Subaru Impreza 2.5i with 140k miles. As a car owner you'd expect to spend about $500 to $1200 a year on a car over 50k miles on maintenance. Tires every 4 years, brakes every 2 etc. They diagnosed properly, acquired & installed the proper parts, they warranty their work, & stayed within the reasonable maintenance budget for the year. I would recommend, just make sure you have arrangements for transportation for a couple days. read more

I brought my car in for an inspection for an alignment. When I dropped my car off I was aware of the listed items that Honest 1 provided me. I went to pick up my car after honest 1 said my car was ready, when pulling out of the parking spot my car's steering was overextending and there is a clicking sound when you turn the wheel while pressing the gas. I did not even leave the business parking lot. I brought it to the attention of the business and I was told by the employee they would have the mechanic look at it. After leaving, I received a call from the store manager, who said that they heard no clicking sound. So, I went I went back to the business as asked by the manager to show them. He acknowledged the issue and heard the sound, but said it was due to the prior damage. I advised him no it was not, due to the fact I had been driving my car for 2 almost 3 weeks and never had those issues before dropping my car off. The manager refused to fix the issues after acknowledging them. I wasn't asking them to fix anything other than what damage was done to by car by their business. I have been coming here for years and always left great reviews until now, I was so disappointed how the store manager handled the situation. But thank you to Dan who at least talked to me and heard me out and was great at trying to help me. read more
