We went there two days go to have a late lunch. I would give the food quality and cleanliness 2 stars. I ordered one Palak Paneer stew and one Rice and one Naan and a mango smoothie (which wad quite warm), the food was greasy and hard to digest. They asked for 38$ and didnt even show the bill!! We complain about poor food preparation and we were told that it's always been like this as if we have ordered the dish for the first time, however, that's still fine, we accepted that excuse and was considering not to order the same dish ever again, in the mean time the on duty manager came and said that he will bring us the fresh one. as we were already done, we didn't show interest in getting a fresh plate served, however the manager insisted and asked for a chance to correct the mistake, however, while we were waiting for the serving and wait-staff came by and rudely said that "we can't serve another dish to you and if you need one, you have to pay", it was so insulting, we didn't ask them to serve another and we didn't expect them to disrespect as well. it was the manager on duty who insisted us to wait.When the wait staff was asked to apologize by the manager he further used bad words and behaved very aggressively with the manager too. If the staff can't respect you as a manager,how would you expect them to respect the customer. The owner chimed in however, couldn't control the staff's behavior. The owner tried his best to convince us but with this instance no one will dare to go back and would like to make everyone aware that they should stay away from such restaurants. Hi All ,I am sharing my worst ever experience with this restaurant today.We have been travelling from San Diego all the way to Artesia to eat Bhakhri Pizza and Bahubali Sandwich.Today we ordered Bhakhri pizza and we got it in very thick crust which we thought very weird and asked the attendee about it.He said he will check with the waiter and confirm. Waiter came and said "This is how it is and used to be same ".We said we have been eating since long and it was not used to be this way. He said "We have increased a $1 and hence increased the crust" worst ever explanation.We were done with our food and one of the attendee came to make sure if all was good .And he himself insisted that they will make another for us for which we denied since we were done with food.But he insisted and we said we just want 1 and not 2 (our initial order was of 2") Again after some time waiter came and said you will not get another and if you want you have to pay for it. We said we didnt ask for another ,your attendee insisted and then we said okay for the replacement one.We felt very humilitated listening that sentence and called that waiter again.He started misbehaving and we asked him to shut up to which that waiter replied with "You shut up".The moment became very furious and owner came and started discussion and unwillingly apologized. Don't ever go to this place! Customer service is horrible. Two visits in a row they have forgotten half of our order and we end up having to remind them then they go place the order again. While waiting to get the other half of our food, we are no longer hungry so ended up having to take the food home or sometimes they just keep saying they are working on it and we just end telling them to cancel it. What's even more annoying is that people who came in 30-40 minutes after us already got their food and they ordered the same thing we were waiting for. Have been to this place couple of times previously. Recently went there the food quality & service has gone down. The Bhaubali sandwich was cold . The biggest disappointment was the Chinese Bhel. Honestly? I went to this restaurant for the first time today and it is my last time. The restaurant does not deserve any stars. I ordered, Bhelpuri, Wada Pav, Bhaji Pav and a Punjabi thali. I was so disappointed with their food. Bhelpuri was so blend, Wada Pav was stale as if wada had been fried in the stale oil over and over again, Bhaji Pav had no taste and what can I say about Punjabi thali? Roti was stale, the two shaak - Bhindi and Paneer was tasteless. The only thing that was fresh on the plate was rice. If anyone likes this food, then I am afraid they haven't had any good food ever. In Artesia many restaurant owners come from India and they should know how tasty the food is there so why can't they make it like they do in India? Are they so cheap that they try to save a dollar here and there so the food comes out tasteless and horrible. You are not making this food for white people who know nothing about the taste but Indians do and majority of the people who come to eat are Indians. So unless Honest starts improving their food I am not going back and I hope no one does so I hope restaurants like this closes down. They deserve it. We got our table after waiting for 1 hour. We waited 20-25 minutes at out table and nobody bothered to even bring water. We had to literally call them and ask for water. I have been living in Socal for last 7 years and come to Artesia very often because I love Indian snacks. My first preference is always Surati. I wasn't aware that they were closed on Monday and I didn't have any options than trying HONEST. Let me start : It took them 30 minutes to bring my food which is totally understandable considering they have only 2 servers. Food was probably the worst food I ever had. They forgot to bring the Masala tea and when I asked to cancel it they refused. I went to the restroom for quick 2 minutes and I came back to see all my food was gone. Just because they have people waiting. So you will throw someone's food just because you have more people waiting. Complete GREED. So basically I paid for the food and didn't get to eat it. Manager didn't have courtesy to give me a discount nor even ask for it. All they said was " Sorry Sir". I got home with some take out and it tasted horrible. Cruising around looking for a nice dinner date and saw a restaurant in the corner packed with people waiting to be seated, that caught our attention. We walked in & it smelled so good immediately greeted and was told wait would be about 15-20 not too bad we decided to stay. We got a table and the owner came to welcome us we told him we have no idea what to order and he suggested 3 items all delicious. He was friendly and graceful we told him the food he recommended was delicious. From beginning to end we had an amazing experience. We will definitely come back soon and we recommend you try it. I'm not a vegetarian and let me tell you I did not miss meat at all. The food is so tasty full of flavor that you enjoy every bite.
