My family has been coming here for decades mainly to get snacks / breakfast items to-go, and only in the last couple years did we start dining in. Our favorite is the khasta kachori, since the pastry has the perfect crunchiness that complements the filling. The dahi sev puri and tacos are also definitely worth getting. We've tried a handful of other items which are generally solid, but would definitely start with those three. This time, we tried their paan cake which was just okay. The servers are friendly and helpful, and the food comes out at a reasonable time even when they are packed full.

Visited Surti Farsan Mart recently and had a mixed experience. The food itself was good--we ordered dahi puri, pav bhaji, bhaji quesadilla, masala dosa, and vada pav, and everything tasted solid and worked well for a quick snack. That said, the overall experience could use improvement. The floors and tables should be wiped down more frequently after customers leave, as cleanliness was noticeably lacking. The paper plates are very cheap and don't complement the quality of the food being served. Also, the staff seemed to be standing around rather than working as a team--it felt like everyone had only one task instead of pitching in where needed. Good food, but service and cleanliness issues hold this place back. With better teamwork and attention to the dining area, this could be a much better experience.

    Dry chalk like outdated peda's
    CJ P.

Have been coming here for years as most Gujurati community do. But lately the quality has gone downhill. I have a box of peda that i will be throwing away because they are stale and taste like chalk ,inedible powder. There was one out of the box that was still somewhat okay. If you zoom in on the picture you will see the orange one vs all the ones losing their color. Mind it they are suppose to be Yellow Peda's not White ones. Totally dry and outdated. I called them and they said sorry, no one else told us anything so we cant help u! Sucks I have to write this review but that was not a professional response from them.

Great little find. Thought the place found us with all the bright lights. Great service, staff spent time guiding us in the selection of some treats for friends and ourselves. We got to try several samples as well.

Great selection of Indian street food, decent seating area, and good service! The employees are very patient and helpful, which was my first impression as I asked 10 questions about the displayed items. You can also taste test some of the sweets and mixes. I wish I can give 4.5 stars ONLY because one of the items I ordered was not up to par and did not taste as good as it looked ;) but that could have been more of a choice issue than the actual quality. I would also ask if the items are spicy or mild in advance, if going in for the first time.

My new favorite place for Indian treats and goodies! Head to the counter to place your order. Everything was so fresh and just divine! So many sweet and savory options with samples. Chips and mixes come packaged in a resealable bag. Ready for the ride home. The various foods we tried were so fresh and flavorful. Unique tastes that tickle your taste buds and leave you wanting more. Service was awesome! Tables inside or a few on the patio. Street parking.

Surati Farsan Mart is my go-to spot for authentic Indian sweets and snacks. The Ras Malai here is so soft, creamy, and perfectly sweet - it melts in your mouth. I also tried the Motichoor Laddu, and it was amazing - rich, fresh, and full of flavor, just like homemade. Besides the desserts, they have a huge variety of farsan and other sweets that always taste fresh and authentic. The store is clean, well-stocked, and the staff is helpful.

assorted barfi on a cheeseboard (not included at time of purchase)

Need to come here for the food at some point. We have only gotten the barfi here, and we asked for an assortment that we brought over to a friend's the next day. I've never really had barfi before, but my partner has had plenty, and we enjoyed this. Good chai too. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of places to sit inside.

Been planning for months to meet a friend in Artesia and have pani puri. As it was my first time ever having pani puri my friend suggested Surati Farsan as the best place to get pani puri and other Punjabi goodies. It's her favorite place to get pani puri and she has been coming here since moving to California from India. We arrived right when they opened so it was pretty quiet. But it quickly filled up with customers. The first thing I noticed upon entering was all the Indian sweets and lots of ornate boxes stacked up. Then the salty snacks were neatly stored and so colorful. My friend ordered 2 types of pani puri, a drier version that had crispy thin noodle-like topping and one that you put your own "water" (tamarind and mint water). While both are delicious I really loved the one you put the "water" in yourself. It was like an explosion of flavor and textures. Sweet, salty, sour, crunchy, and satisfying. We also had a lentil soup with mint potato patties. While it looks simple, the flavors were like a warm hug and slightly spicy, in a good way. The icing on top was the amazing rose drink with ice cream. My friend said it was to balance the spicy meal and help with digestion. Before leaving I ordered pani puri, lentil soup for home, and a box of sweets. I was so very full but was going to make the most of my trip to Artesia. Let me just say, my food was packed beautifully and all set for the week. Service is good and efficient. They have lots of workers at the counter and it's gets busy shortly after opening. Parking is plentiful on the street (meters), public parking lot off Pioneer (meters), and a few free spots behind the grocery stores. So happy my friend took the time to share her culture and food with me. LOCATION: 4/5 FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 4/5 AMBIANCE: 4/5 PET FRIENDLY: outside tables CLEANLINESS: 3/5 PARKING: 4/5

Great Solid spot for traditional south Indian food. Most of the customers are locals and Indians so that speaks to its authenticity.

It's a cool snack food place. That's totally vegetarian and has Indian as well as Indian Mexican fusion. Food is very tasty, & inexpensive. The service is fine. You pretty much pick up your food at the counter when it's ready. Ambience- it's a family place so it's usually a little bit of noise. Pleasant and I will definitely be back!

I think they only cater locally, but you can call them and see if they're willing to ship them out to you. Hopefully they do. I'll keep my fingers crossed! :)

She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her excellent service made our first visit even more enjoyable. The food was incredible! I ordered the Chicken Korma, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, with tender chicken in every bite. The meal came with fluffy basmati rice, warm fresh naan, flavorful chickpeas, yogurt, and pickled onions that complemented everything perfectly. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine with outstanding service, Curry Lounge is definitely worth a visit. We will absolutely be back and can't wait to try more of the menu. Thank you, Pawan, for making our first experience so memorable!

7/21/2026 Second…read moretime here! Ordered take out via phone order. Found their phone number and menu on Google and Google Reviews. Curry Lounge posted their full menu there. AMRITSARI KULCHA First time trying this type of flat bread. It is a North Indian stuffed flat bread. Originated from Amritsar, Punjab. It is a favorite street food. This is usually eaten with Chole, a spicy chickpea curry. The amitsari kulcha had mostly mashed potatoes and some paneer cheese. Various herbs in it, lots of herbs in it. It took me a bit to adjust to the herbacious flavors. This was reheated in the toaster oven until slightly crispy and it was delicious! You must reheat before you eat! This went really well with the Punjabi Butter Chicken I ordered. SAMOSA Flaky dough stuffed with spiced potatoes and peas. Delicious and this was my second time ordering it! I think this will be my go to place for potato samosas! And yes, reheat in toaster oven before consumption! PUNJABI BUTTER CHICKEN A popular Indian dish originating in Punjab. Tender chicken pieces in tomato-based sauce with butter and cream. Chicken marinated in spiced yogurt mix and cooked in a tandoor and grilled. The chicken has different pieces, such as legs, thighs and breast meat. All have bones in them. But there were about 4-5 pieces of chicken. They ask for your preference of spice levels, so I got medium spice. It was spicy! Spice lingers on your tongue and in your stomach too! Made my own basmati rice at home, so did not order it, but you definitely need the basmati rice to soak up all the flavors of the butter chicken! So delicious to eat with the aromatic, sweet basmati rice! This was also delicious with flat bread, but I absolutely loved it with basmati rice. NAAN (PLAIN) Wanted naan, so I ordered it plain. This was not oily and you can taste the ghee. The naan wasn't even in thickness. Parts of the naan that were thinner were crispy and thicker were fluffy and soft. It had very little herbs, so it had a clean, ghee flavor. CUSTOMER SERVICE Staff who took my order over the phone was kind, patient and spoke clearly and slowly. He made sure that my order was correct. All my orders were received and well packaged with saran wrap to ensure the food stays hot and does not spill. They even added utensils too, which I appreciate. My food was not fully prepared at the set time, however, they gave me a courtesy call to let me know. But I let them know it wasn't a big deal because I was also running late. Lol. Location is far from where I live, but if I am in the area, I am definitely returning! Delicious food, good service all around! A very happy customer! Cannot wait to try new dishes in the near future!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great food in a pleasant atmosphere…read more The hubby and I came to meet up with another couple for a weekend lunch. When we got there at 11:30 it was quite empty, but by the time we left it was nearly full--a popular spot, and we could see why. We were rather pleasantly surprised at how upscale it looked in here--all cloth napkins, white tablecloths, and a recently renovated-looking interior with lots of dark wood. There were lots of options on their lunch special menu, which they even have on the weekends, and even more on their regular menu. I had the paneer tikka masala lunch special and the hubby had the saag paneer lunch special. All the lunch specials come with rice, salad greens, lentil soup, naan, a mini samosa (on attractive metal serving ware), along with self serve coffee and chai. At $16.95 as of this writing, we thought it was a great deal. The hubby and I shared our food and thought it was very good overall. I thought the saag was a touch too salty but it didn't mean I hated it. They do serve alcohol here, although we didn't imbibe on our visit. As for parking, they have a small front parking lot and a larger back lot (which we weren't aware of until our friends told us). If you want good Indian food with very attentive service in a slightly upscale setting, this is a good choice.

Diving into the details - the restaurant decor is quite formal and has always been kind of surprising to be given that I often come for casual meals. The staff are well dressed in white button ups and always very polite so it's good vibes all around. If you know me, I'm nothing if not predictable. I always get the butter chicken and unapologetically so. IT IS SO GOOD. I refuse to be shamed into trying other things and if that makes me basic, so be it. In case you haven't guessed, I'm also always getting their garlic naan as well. I've tried other dishes before but nothing beats the chicken. One thing I will say is the spiciness fluctuates every time even though I always ask for medium so do with that what you will.

The butter chicken is my favorite, I know it's the most basic b Indian food but everything I've tried has been awesome. Sangeetha's cooking has made me ok with trying some vegetarian food when I thought I'd never like any non meat-centric dish. Swing by, try something new or enjoy something old. Relevant - it's not super spicy, but that's ok to me, it's more accessible to people that might be turned off by excessive spice - I have some scorpion pepper powder that I add to bring the heat, and it doesn't hurt the flavor that I've come to love. They're not open Mondays, but hey - she deserves time off! A suggestion if I may - grab an extra bowl of butter chicken alongside whatever else you get, and throw a fried egg or two on top the next morning for breakfast. DOES NOT HAVE BANANAS! As a professional simian that is of note, but not a negative ;) There are random snacks I've never seen before, I've tried a few and have been happy with what I've sampled. The bottles of mango lassi are super tasty and for me, it helps my heartburn.

I don't think three stars is bad. So just to restate. The food is not bad. But I'm not going to take this review down because I don't feel like it's appropriate for the owner to message you privately with an attitude and try to strong-arm you into taking down the review. I don't think that Yelp has the option of messaging people so you can come at them with a shitty attitude and strong-arm them into trying to change their review. You're honestly just making yourself look worse.
