Solid vegetarian restaurant, you can't go wrong with any of thier dishes. Known for sandwiches and elaborate dhoshas with unique names. Everything you get can 3/5 or 4/5. You are not going to go this is the best and drool over it, but you won't be disappointed either. Worth a try. Service is average and typical. and the place it self also look like a typical Indian restaurant. Bit cleaner than average.

I had the Punjabi Thali! Soooo good. Verify of a perfectly portion vegetarian appetizer, dishes, and desert also comes with Lassi. I got Mango one. All this for under $20. Enjoyed them very much. I loved Lila Kachori, it is a green pea purée missed with herbs and deep fried in a puff pastry comes either an amazing sweet and sour chatney (like salsa sauce). The owner was kind enough with an extra lilva kachori when I asked for a take out box. I recommend this place if you are in Houston area

Chaat is really authentic, I will come back when I am in Houston again. Con: service can be improved, reduce use of foam plates. Bathroom can be more cleaned.

We get takeout food from here a LOT. My boyfriend is from India and he has told me time and time again that this hands down one of the best Indian restaurants when it comes to grabbing a quick bite to eat! He's very particular about Indian food because he lived there for 24 years so that's definitely saying something! I might add that I'm American and hadn't experienced Indian food until he and I started dating - but man, I was missing out my whole life!!! Our two favorite dishes from here are Bhakri pizza and Bahubali sandwich. Bhakri pizza is a fusion dish that is so delicious! I wasn't sure about it the first time I tried it because it does NOT look like the pizza I'm used to... But seriously, don't knock it till you try it cause now I'm HOOKED! Bahubali sandwich is also very tasty and not like a sandwich that I'm used to - but I'll warn you that it's spicy! Although you are safe to assume that Indian food is spicy about 92% of the time. Definitely recommend you try this place out!

I came back again. The food was ok, but not my favorite. I did enjoy the vada pav. The mango lassi was also ok. I've had better. This place is supposed to be popular or well known in India. If this is a franchise or suppose to represent in USA, it would be nice to make the interior more welcoming instead of like a cafeteria. Silverware and plastic ware weren't really organized. I did see that they have a private banquet room which is a nice size.

Amazing find! Possibly the best street food/ sandwiches , Indian dishes we have had! Didn't love the pizza but everything else was really fresh and delicious! You order and pay at counter and food comes out very fast to your table. Place is clean with booth seating. Definitely recommend the bahubali sandwich and yogurt kachori, they didn't have the indo-Chinese tonight but definitely would go back to try again!

Nice variety of Chaat items, South Indian delicacies and Indo Chinese food. Service is quick. The Rajwadi dabeli order is served in two pieces and is quite filling. The filling with fried peanuts is authentic but pomegranate seeds were missing. Raj kachori is extremely appetizing, well presented and a delight to eat. Hakka noodles are yum although too oily for my taste. They also have several flavors of kulfi and lassis available. Indoor seating is decent, no AC, just fans so it can get a little stuffy on a warm humid day. Plenty of parking available outside the restaurant.

We have been on the search for Houston's best chaat. We have tried Honest and Chowpatty a lot, and while they previously were fairly tied, with different strengths for types of chaat, at our last three visits, Honest has taken the crown.  We hypothesize there must be a new chef, but the Honest in Houston was previously not the same quality as the Honest in Allen - and now, it is as good (or maybe better?). The service is what is expected from a fast-casual spot; the lighting, the seating are not special. But as any good authentic Indian restaurant will have - Bollywood music videos are playing nonstop in the background, and the food is delicious. The dahi puri remains my favorite item, and pani puri my partner's favorite. This might not be the fanciest or the most presentable food you eat, but it will hit the way you expect it to.

The mango lassi and pulav are amazing here! Super fast service and a good amount of spice

A friend of mine highly recommended this place so we went. Food was OK nothing really outstanding. Price range is very reasonable. I tried the thali and it was OK. The restaurant solely serve vegetarian food so if you are not into vegetarian maybe you won't like it. Service was below average but I see this as a fast food chain so no high expectations on my part.

First time trying this place as our usual one is closed on Tuesdays. We were greeted immediately upon entry and placed orders immediately. Ordered pani puri and thali. Didn't quite like the pani puri as the ingredients were kinda bland. Thali was ok but the yogurt kind was terrible with some dried bread. It was $12 and came with a small mangon lassi. They came by to check on us which is rare in this type of restaurant. Maybe we will try dosa next time. Just wish there are no cilantros in these dishes due to allergies.

We did not have a good of an experience this time around. The food was mediocre at best. Service was fine. We came early so there were plenty of tables. We got the honest special pav bhaji and it was SO BLAND. No masalo or spice what's so ever. I got the bhakri pizza, nothing special. The bhakri was nice and crunchy. We got the mango lassi, lack of mango flavor. The bhahubali sandwich was fine. Felt like less fries than last time we got sandwiches as you might be able to compare in the pictures.

A great place for snacks. Just that if they adjust the spice level bcuz it's overly spicy. They do have full menu apart from snacks. The service is great. The food came out really quick.

I love this restaurant, if I lived closer, I would be here every week! Ha!…read more I was introduced to this restaurant via Lou MC (a fellow Yelper/friend of many years), he had a UYE here and I was one of the attendees. I came back for a solo lunch on Sunday, the restaurant wasn't packed. It's not a modernized place, but it is clean and there was no roaches in sight! There isn't a weird odor either. It appears to be family owned as the two times I've been there is a lady, a young guy, and an older man to be working. My absolute favorites are the veg grilled chicken (my mouth is salivating as I type this), veg fried rice, veg fish, veg meatloaf, and the string beans with veg meat pieces. The sweet and sour soup is tasty too. With the grilled veg chicken; that's the star of the show! Lays on a bed of lettuce with cucumber and tomatoes on the side, the faux chicken tastes way better than grilled bird. The flavor is slightly sweet, but savory and has grilled tips. It's chewy texture and full of flavor with each bite. I think they marinate it with something because it's so divine! The fried rice resembles the non-vegan version; flavorful on its own, but once I add the soy sauce the flavor intensifies into yummy goodness. It has tiny pieces of fried tofu to replace the eggs and loaded with veggies. The meatloaf is doused in savory sauce, but the faux meatloaf is tasty too. The veg fish in the sweet and sour soup was very yummy; the soup broth smooth and didn't have any chunky parts of vegetables. When I went yesterday, there was numerous calls for takeout orders. This place is popping! I was served chrysanthem tea loose leaf; the taste wasn't overpowering and it tasted like water. Very subtle. Oh and the dumplings are good too! Thick in size and crunchy hard shell, not soggy. Huge portions and matched with inexpensive prices. This restaurant is a win win in my book. Despite busyness, they appear to handle it well and don't have long wait times for your meal to arrive. The flavor and portion profile reminds me of Trendy Vegan. You'll get more bang for your buck! Service is cordial; the waiters and waitress doesn't seem too interested in table service or getting to know you. That's alright since I was watching a movie as I ate. If I had to rank Asian vegan options: Quan Yin (#1), Trendy Vegan (#2), and then Pine Forest (#3). Located in a huge parking lot, you'll sure find a spot to park.

It was unique but the taste was just ok. Maybe a little odd to have matcha in the broth. I would definitely come back for the VGKO ramen or the GKO ramen. I also saw they have other interesting ramen on the menu like spicy lamb ramen, wagyu Texas bbq ramen, and soupless ramen. The wait was not too bad on a weeknight but not sure about the weekends. This will be the place I would come back when I'm in the area.

Plenty of parking, it's located in a rather large strip mall. And it's got plenty of seating inside. A friend recommended the following: magic idli, Bullet Idli, kanchipuram Idli, and the masala Chai. But the thing is, if there are ghee idli's on the menu, I must try them. My husband loves Vada and they had them on special, so we ordered Bullet Idli, Masala Chai, Kanchipuram Idli, and of course the ghee karam Idli. My husband LOVEDDDD the chai, he said it reminded him of being back in India, the type of chai you'll find at train stations- which is supposed to be really good! The kanchipuram Idli were new to me, and I'm not sure how they're supposed to taste or what to compare them to. They were kind of dry, and we weren't fans. I loved the ghee karam idli's, they were so soft, and really well flavored. The sambar they were served with was cold, which was disappointing, but we asked for some extra hot sambar and explained we thought it was cold and they fixed that immediately. And the Vada was fried especially when my husband ordered it, so it was fresh and he said it was some of the best he had in Houston. My favorite was the bullet idli, the person behind the counter explained they don't steam them, these are fried on the stove in a special pan, so they come out quicker and have a more solid texture. Think pan fried dumplings vs steamed dumplings. We went back after that first successful outing and that's pretty much why I took a star off. My first outing was definitely five stars. But this second time we ordered the Vada again, and it was too salty. So salty we couldn't finish the plate. And this time the person working behind the counter was also taking a work call, something like technical support and screen sharing, but this call was being taken loudly, on speaker. Basically everyone's dining experience was exposed to this work conference call, which made it awkward for everyone there to have any conversations or chat. The person they were chatting with was quite upset too, so it wasn't a pleasant meeting we were all forced to overhear. A nice lunch outing was made really strange. I don't get why this person wouldn't just use headphones, it's cool they're trying to work two jobs but ruining everyone's lunch and dine in experience was not great.
