First, YUM! My Mom and I do lunch often and we always love trying new places, we came across Honest Mary's & thought we'd give it a shot. So glad we did, this place is super modern and welcoming with plenty of seating inside and outside. It's assembly line style where you get to see and pick everything that goes in your bowl. The service was quick and the employees were very nice! I got a chicken bowl with rice, black beans, sweet potatoes, cilantro, and avocado. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, I went with the lemon garlic and it paired perfectly with my bowl. It was 36$ for two bowls & 2 drinks, the meal size was enough for lunch plus leftovers for the next day. Win win! read more

I have been a fan of Honest Mary's for a long time but I think it's time to move on. We picked up food tonight (ordered in store) and it was just not that good. I called to ask if some of the inconsistencies were an anomaly or permanent and the girl I spoken rudely replied that they are permanent changes and "that a lot of changes were coming". I also mentioned the wrong dressing was in my bowl (and that it made me feel sick) and she very disingenuously said she would let her manager know - not even a "sorry" to go with it. Changes that I noticed include - new kind of black rice that is definitely not as good as the previous version, liquid goat cheese (umm yuck), Brussels sprouts that seem steamed... Yay! I love salad bowls and this place by far has the best. The Sedona Lime is delicious and my sister loved the Aloha. There's also the option to customize ... and I probably should try the other menu items, but I have a feeling I'll be choosing Sedona again. You can add steak, but it's so flavorful and filling as is. The canned pear prebiotic drink is expensive but really tasty. I also tried cucumber-honey. Honestly I wasn't particularly impressed although I strongly support the focus on fast food that is healthy and appreciated the variety of nontraditional items including quinoa, arugula, and kale. Similar to Cava and other such places they offer up bowls you can customize with various grains, beans, veggies, sauces, and proteins. They have a build your own option along with signature bowls. I chose to try their Dear Quinoa signature bowl with quinoa, French green lentils, kale, roasted sweet potatoes, herbs, and a spicy peanut sauce. I was disappointed that the lentils were a bit mushier and thicker than expected and I didn't feel like the flavors overall were very remarkable or bright. More of a vinegar and oil type sauce might have helped. I had ordered an aqua fresca for my drink and really enjoyed the Cucumber Honey. My companion had the Ginger Limeade which was good as well although the ginger was strong and I could see it overpowering the flavors of a meal here. The decor is nice for a fast food place. In the main area they have large high tops which would be good for a group. There is a second side further away from the counter where you order that has lower and smaller tables including some half booths that were nicely apportioned especially for a fast service restaurant which made it nice for a low key date location. We had chosen the restaurant as we wanted a healthy dinner before indulging in a decadent dessert and it definitely suited our needs but the food didn't stand out enough for me to likely return but I am glad there is a healthier fast choice like this for others. read more

I got a poke bowl with poke, forbidden rice, brussel sprouts, charred broccoli, asian slaw and cucumber radish mix and a poblano sauce of sorts. Everything was fresh and flavorful - douse it in that sauce for sure. The poke comes in large chunks, which is also nice. Good contrast of textures, good roasted flavor notes all while keeping you feeling light at work day lunch. I would say skip the almond butter cookie. It's nice that it is vegan but the texture just ain't there but I guess if you have dietary restrictions, it's a decent dessert treat. read more

We tried honest Mary's for the first time on Sunday afternoon. They have gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options. All the staff had masks. We went in and quickly ordered, no line. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very clean and we were the only customers so I would feel very safe eating here during covid. the tofu was very yummy!!!! Very well made/cooked, lots of flavor. My toddler stole all my tofu and ate it :) the cashew sauce was yummy. A few concerns, they have peanut sauce which is scary and unnecessary. I have a peanut allergy and the 1-2 leading cause of peanut death is from restaurants so I'm definitely uncomfortable when we see that on the menu. They could easily stop selling that, it's not a staple here. Secondly, the beets tasted canned, not fresh. The zucchini needs to be cut into bite sizes, not in strips like they have. read more

I love love this place, I could eat here every day and not get tired of it. There is a load of healthy options. I love building my own bowl. There is a variety of bases you can build your bowl from as well as you can get pre made bowls. I love the chicken, it's seasoned and fresh. There is a variety of toppings you can add, the options are endless. However, it gets crazy crowded here at lunch though, the parking lot can get crazy as well. There have been times where I see the line wrap around the whole place, and there is a huge line for online order pick up as well. I think they are getting better with the line management, but be aware there will be a wait. For dinner there is hardly ever a wait though. read more

I've seen you in my hood every single day I go for my morning run but haven't had the opportunity to swing by until a friend and I wanted to catch up on a workday over lunch and I had health goals I was trying to keep to. In comes Honest Mary's, who's space I am quite familiar with since it used to be a burrito place before. The place has zen, calamity, hipster and flower child vibes wrapped up into the arboretum and the menu does not disappoint. The lines for lunch are insanely long but move swift if you're taking your bowl to go. Otherwise, learn to get cozy and intimate with the seating situation during peak hours and note, it is loud loud if you want a conversation! Al fresco is the way to go but the tables are always taken at those popular times. I went for their Aloha Poke pre designed bowl and it was pretty tasty. It's a higher price point for organic, local, sustainable ingredients where you get to know what you put into your body! I can dig it. Lots of green juices too for your juice fiends.
