Anyways, I remember always being so jealous of the kids who used to stop here on the way to school before class in 7th grade. I got driven to school, but the walkers got to really enjoy what this place has to offer. My boyfriend, however, surprised me a couple times a week with those scrumptious donut balls in high school. Fresh donuts; my wife loved her apple fritter, I liked my crumb bear claw (apple filled) and my son loved his sprinkle donut, he can't talk yet, but he ate the whole thing and his two donut holes, and then proceeded to steal another donut hole out of the bag when I wasn't looking, little rascal. The wife is very picky with apple fritters, so that's saying a lot, I tried a bite, even though I was full after eating my donuts, it was very good. Lots of big chunks of apple and not overdone, not underdone, just right. Not too sweet, not overly sweet. Bear claw was good, been a while since I had a good bear claw. I'm personally not a fan of apple filled bear claws, I like ones with almonds, but it was very very good for what it was. I'd get it again actually even though they're not my thing, which is also saying a lot. Donut holes are also very, very good as other reviewers have mentioned. After a long night of partying and debauchery you drag your ass into this little oasis of love with your hangover in tow and they will lead you to salvation. They have really fresh donuts and the GF says that they actually have really decent coffee. My favorite donut is a Maple Old Fashioned even though I haven't really met a donut that I haven't liked. Also, is it some sort of a Donut Shop prerequiste that they must be decorated like they are still in the 70s? Gave it another try recently, the service was good and the donuts were great. I do wish she wouldn't try to stuff so many donuts in a bag since the icing gets smeared on the bag and the donuts were a bit smushed. Didn't ruin the experience for me though. read more

Very good donuts, very nice and humble little spot. The guy greeted me when I walked in but went right back to his phone. I believe he was texting. I went a little late around 10:30-11AM and a lot of the donuts were gone. Not too many options to choose from. Over all the donuts I got were delicious. I really wanted to love this donut shop but it was just okay. Myself and two others split a dozen donuts, and when we picked them out they all looked pretty promising. I selected ones like a cream filled chocolate bar, a chocolate bar with chocolate chips, a white sprinkled donut, a chocolate ring, etc. The taste was pretty mediocre and didn't jump out at me. My boyfriend and his friend weren't very impressed with theirs either. The next day I went to bite into a donut and it had a really nasty taste on the bottom of it - must have been the taste of the oil they were fried in. It was gross. I was hoping that this would be our one stop shop for donuts since it's only about 5 minutes from my boyfriend's place, but I guess we'll have to look elsewhere. I think we were spoiled in Elk Grove with our Java Time donuts 15-foot-long donut case packed full of sugary goodness. We came to Honey hoping to find our Family Saturday donut spot, but were disappointed when the lady was pretty rude. She even repeated the order but then seemed irritated when she forgot to give us the donut and also charge us for it. The donuts were pretty tasty but were a little on the pricey side compared to other shops I've visited. I didn't realize I had a bit of donut snobbery until I went to bite into my cream filled chocolate donut and realized they just cut the donut in half and spread the cream on it like a bagel! The audacity of them not injecting the donut with cream! But all the same, it tasted pretty damn good. The shop itself was in a sad little strip mall with pretty much nothing else in it, but the lady did say there would be some big store coming in the next year. For the community and their sake, I hope so. I think we'll try to check out some other donut shops in the area before we come back for the curt service. read more

Been driving past here for years and finally decided to stop in today. They are not very visible from Watt Ave. and are in an otherwise abandoned section of a shopping center, but don't let that deter you - they are definitely worth finding!
