I came in here for a latte, and I will be back soon. Every sip was just so good. They really know how to make their lattes.

We wanted to grab breakfast while in town. We chose this place. We ordered coffee, cocoa, and breakfast sandwhiches. It's really cute with a few seats inside. It's clean and their are coffee and smoothies and a nice variety to choose from. Our breakfast babel and coffee and cocoa hit the stop. The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed our visit here. We recommend you try it out, we would return in the future.

I got a yummy small iced vanilla latte and the worker was super sweet! Lots of syrup flavor options as well-i've never seen the "almond" flavor before so i'll definitely be coming back to try that one! Wish there was seating options because I was hoping to have my coffee & get some schoolwork done but my friend and I ended up going to cayucos coffee shop down the road which worked out perfectly.

Friendly service, clean establishment, good selections. I had a latte, my wife had a mango smoothie and my daughters brewed coffee and a breakfast bagel sandwich. We are all satisfied.

After a multi day camping trip in Big Sur, the simple pleasure of eating a sandwich made by someone else was mine to enjoy. Imbued with that unmistakable Cayucos-elan, Honey Girl Cafe is small, unassuming, and a delightful find amidst a long row of decidedly touristy retail stores. Sure, you could pull off in Cayucos and purchase a couple of those yard pinwheels, a t shirt, or even a conglomerate of petrified sea creatures with Googley eyes affixed with glue. Or you could buy one of the best BLT sandwiches this side of your Great Aunt Mildred's kitchen table. It's a big sandwich, and definitely not a diet meal: huge slices of sourdough bread, just the right amount of Mayo, then slathered in avocado, and layered with butter lettuce, tomato slices, and more bacon than a guy in his 40s should eat in one sitting. Everything is made to order, and served with a smile. Despite the unseasonably hot weather (it was 101° when we passed through!), the staff was cheerful and kind to my kids. My Keto app said to lay off the bread, but I will not hesitate to stop here again the next time I find myself a little peckish on the 101 freeway.

    Lavender latte

I came in to honey cafe for breakfast and ordered an acai bowl and a latte. While waiting I enjoyed looking at their jackets and coasters for sale. The lavender latte was decent. while the acai bowl toppings were amazing the acai itself was a mixture of partly liquid with some icy chunks of acai...

Sunday 1035a to 1125a I would return. There is indoor and outdoor seating. With water for dogs and some treats. No masks were worn over the staff's faces (if that is one of those big concerns for you). I was greeted coming in. Not the friendliest greeting but still, they said, "Hi." Here I felt like a customer and not so much a guest. Like I wasn't welcome and at the same time I wasn't unwelcome (aka this is NOT Starbucks where the store lights up with your presence because all the baristas are smiling so brightly and their voices are so high the clouds clear. Yeah no, none of that here). It wasn't too busy at the time that I came in so I had time to stare at the menu and debate for a good 5 minutes (evaluating ).I was picked back up by the cashier as soon as I looked ready when I had finally decided on the Lox Bagel with no capers on the everything bagel which took about 5 minutes. It was sooooooo good. The salmon was very tender. I also decided on the lavender honey latte which took a whole: 2 minutes! Talk about fast. It had a good subtle taste. Not too sweet, with the lavander being more a smell than a taste. I could taste the honey. It was a pleasant simple drink. I recommend stirring it before drinking it in its entirety. And for those coffee buffs out there: they use Peet's Coffee brand. And they have milk substitutes available: almond, coconut, soy, and oat. There are a few tourist items to buy shirts and postcards that sort of thing. The store is clean. And the workers recite the menu quite well.

Yummy drinks and food. Spinach feta egg croissant is amazing! Also the honey lavender latte and matcha is amazing! Good quality chocolate for the mocha as well.

Good sandwich, good prices, but they took almost 20 minutes to make two sandwiches. Don't go here if you're in a hurry!

I was craving something savory, so I ordered the Pain Bijou, the ham and cheese croissant, and a blueberry muffin. There was a long line, but the food came out quickly once we ordered. This place sells out, and they were already out of a few pastries. I was told I ordered the last ham and cheese croissant at about 9:30 a.m. on a Saturday. We enjoyed the blueberry muffin while we waited. It was filled with huge blueberries and had the perfect balance of sweetness. It was not too heavy and instantly became a favorite. The Pain Bijou was delicious and reminded me of the flavors of a sausage biscuits and gravy breakfast. The ham and cheese croissant was really good, but for two people we probably could have just stuck with the Pain Bijou and the muffin. I look forward to coming back the next time we are in Cayucos.

I was surprised how flavorful the smoothie was, I don't know why I thought that but it did taste good, a bit pricy. - Groggy's Scallywag Coffee House…read more My girlfriend and I stopped at Groggy Scallywag Coffee House during a short trip to Morro Bay after she had noticed it on a previous visit. I'm glad we finally tried it. It's a small coffee shop right off Embarcadero with a simple setup. They have refrigerators with cold drinks, can make both hot and iced coffee, and also offer a small selection of pastries such as muffins, croissants, bagels, and cinnamon rolls. They also sell coffee to take home. There really isn't indoor seating, but that did not bother us at all. You're right by the coast, and there are tables outside in the breezeway along with areas near the dock where you can stand and enjoy your drink. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The menu is displayed on a TV screen near the entrance, which made ordering easy. I ordered a large iced Mexican mocha, and it was excellent. You could actually taste the spice in it rather than it just tasting like a regular mocha with a different name. I would absolutely order it again. One small thing that really stood out to me was their discount program. Near the register, they had a multicolored flag recognizing several groups including military, law enforcement, EMS, firefighters, dispatchers, and nurses. Before ringing us up, the employee pointed to it and asked whether any of those applied to us. I told her I was a nurse, and she immediately gave me 10% off. I thought that was a really nice touch. Discounts for military and first responders are common, but nurses are not always included, so I appreciated the recognition. Between the good coffee, friendly staff, convenient location, and thoughtful service, I really have nothing negative to say about this place. I would absolutely come back and would gladly try more of their drinks and pastries next time I'm in Morro Bay.
