A must stop from now on when we are in Morro Bay. The owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He is originally from Italy and has cooked in several different countries. The food and coffee are very good, but the house made tiramisu is the best. The tiramisu is so good that I would wait in line for a piece, thats how good it is. You have to stop in and just get a coffee and talk with the owner and enjoy life.

I just had the chance to check out this awesome little Italian caffe in Morro Bay on the Embarcadero. Located under Umi Sushi, my friend and I were greeted warmly by the chef and restaurant owner. We asked for recommendations and I decided on the very tasty sandwich with Parma Ham, Burrata, and Pistachio Cream. We also split the homemade tiramisu which was delicious and well balanced in terms of sweetness. I will definitely return soon!

Great experience. Friendly service. Quality products. We got 2 sandwiches. The mortadella and the capicolo. Both were sliced to order meats and great quality cheese. Loved the toppings too, the truffle and basil creme were both giving a lot of flavor to the sandwiches. Excited to try the other offerings. A great addition to the area.

Five stars for the food and for the owner. Best burritos on the coast, and everything else on the…read moremenu is good too. When the owner is there, the service matches the food. When she is not here, it is a different place. On slow weekdays the staff range from unfriendly to flat out rude, and they close early. Posted closing is 1 pm, but I have watched the closed sign go up at 12:30 and been turned away. The last excuse was a power outage. I live here. That outage lasted about ten minutes and had ended more than three hours earlier. And it is not just me. Last week I was in a coffee shop nearby, standing behind a woman who had come back to visit after moving away years ago. She had just walked out of Lily's five minutes earlier. She was telling her friend that it had always been her favorite place and that the owner was wonderful, but was shocked that the staff were nasty. She did not know I was listening and had no reason to say it except that it had just happened and she was upset about it because she was nostalgic and had been looking forward to going to her favorite place. If you show up in that last thirty minutes on a day that is not busy, you may find the door shut on you regardless of what the sign says. So go there when the owner is there or go more than thirty minutes before closing on days unlikely to be busy. Of course not all the staff are that unfriendly - The long term staff are friendly But too many aren't . They get laid off or quit them you get a new one with attitude . It's just I have bad luck showing up at wrong time.

Ordered the everything bagel with lox, comes with cucumber, tomato and red onion - tasted pretty fresh ingredients, except for the tomato which was soft. Also ordered the salted Nutella latte (iced), 1/4th sweet and it was perfect - good flavor, not too sweet. Place was busy at around 8am on a Tuesday; coffee came out fast and waited about 10 minutes for the bagel.

In fact is was so warm that my wife had to go outside to cool off a couple of times. Service was stellar. From the server, (Ramona) to the other staff. They took very good care of us. Kept our waters full and checked on us several times during our visit. Let's get down to it. The moment that counts. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. They were FANTASTIC. They were stuffed with a feta type cheese and were absolutely delish! My main dish wass the Filet Mignon. I ordered it medium. It came with veggies and mashed potatoes. When the steak showed up it looked good and I cut into the steak. It was done to perfection. It had some kind of JD whiskey sauce on it. I took a bite and it was awesome. SO much flavor. I was in heaven. It was like eating candy. I have always considered The Range in Santa Margarita the best but THIS, yeah this was going to be hard to beat! The Sows Ear was now top dog! The mashed potatoes were epic as well. Perfectly cooked and very creamy. The veggies, (broccoli, squash, and carrots), were great as well. Not a huge squash fan but they did not over do the squash and it was just full of flavor. This REALLY went well when it came to the food. The portions were spot on. Lastly we come to the dessert. We had the Mud Pie. Yep, it was a HUGE piece for less than $10.00. Great value and man.........., was it good. Enough for 2 people. It really creates that intimate setting when you can share with your significant other and it be more then enough. This place would have gotten 5 stars had the interior temp been comfortable. 4.5 stars! The bill for the two of us, no alcohol, was right at $140.00. with tip were out the door at approx. $170.00. Thanks to the staff for making this experience great! Ramona, Katie, and the guy walking around that made sure we were good! They made a great team! I would totally recommend the Sow's Ear in Cambria. This place is everything you would expect and you will not be disappointed. Don't miss out on this place! Worth every penny. That is all! Have a great day!

Our take out sat for about 45 minutes at our house because we could not eat quite yet and the lumpia was still crisp and delicious- their sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and sour. I had the ube bun glider- OMG!! A first for me but not the last. Delicious. A suggestion: make a side of fresh jalapeños an option. My son had the Adobo chicken- holy chicken! It was phenomenal. The pancit was on point (my Filipino auntie's is best- but hers is hard to top). :0) We left with a smile from the grreat service and have full bellies! Thank you!
